Rear passenger seatbelt came UNSECURED from the rear seat mounting bracket. Unknowingly ENDANGERED my child by becoming dislodged therefore leaving her WITHOUT any restraint mechanism in the event of a crash! The incident happened at evening after hours and NOT been reported to manufacturer, dealership, law enforcement, or any other as of present. There were no warning signs or indicators other than the safety belt just freely coming up into her hand when we parked and she unbuckled.
The contact owned a 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the engine seized. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The contact exited the vehicle and noticed flames were emitting from under the hood and wheel well. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact did not sustain any injuries. The police and fire department were called to the scene. The fire department extinguished the flames. The contact suspected that the fire started near the fuel pump. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. The contact attempted to tow the vehicle out of the towing yard, and the towing company refused to release the vehicle to the contact. The manufacturer was notified of the fire and informed the contact that the vehicle was in their possession and was at an unknown location. The insurance company was notified about the fire. The contact stated that it was unclear if the vehicle was insured. The failure mileage was 44,000.

I was on an overpass in the left hand lane doing 40-45mpg getting ready to make a left hand turn on an expressway on ramp. I coasted for just a bit and applied the brakes gently, then a little more. The truck was not slowing down like it should have so I applied alot more brake pedal pressure and it slowed down some then it down shifted several times and the engine was roaring, I'm guessing around 3K rpms or more and pulling me forwards. I put as much pressure as I could on the brake pedal and got it down to 4-5 mph and then as it was almost at a stop, still with the motor roaring, I slammed it into park and turned the key off. The motor turned off thank goodness. I sat there for about 20 seconds or so, luckily no one was behind me, then I turned it on again and it was idling just fine. I crept through the intersection and proceeded down the on ramp at 10mph or so and pulled over. Turned it off again and called the wife and a few friends about it. It ran ok, albeit I was super cautious, to my destination 25 minutes on down the highway. Something freaked out big time in the computer. Had there been traffic or someone in front of me it would have lead to a serious crash.

My complaint is with the OEM lug nuts applied on my 2023 Ford F250. I recently tried to check the tightness on my wheels lug nuts only to find out that the lug wrench provided with the vehicle when purchased new will not fit 90 percent of the lug nuts. Dealership has rotated tires at routeen intervals since purchased new in spring 2023. Service manager stated that his mechanics routeenly use the next larger socket to loosen and reapply nuts. They are a carbon steel with chrome cap. Evertime you use the wrong size socket you further distort the chrome cap. The caps are loose and swollen so I can not change out a flat without calling and waiting for roadside assistance. My vehicle is still well within the 36 month 36 thousand mile bumper to bumper warranty. Local service manager states that Ford will not warranty faulty lug nuts. It's a safety issue when the nuts are improperly torqued or over torqued because they are using the wrong size impact socket on an impact wrench. It's a safety issue if I get a flat in an area with no cell service, or stuck on the side of the highway and get rearended. Ford and it's dealerships are aware of the failure of these two piece lugnuts and recommend that I go buy single piece lug nuts from an after market manufacturer like Dorman. This is the second time I have been gooned by Ford on lug nuts, Walmart will refuse service if the required size socket cannot be applied to the lug nuts. Back in 2014 I needed two new tires on my 2010 F150 , local auto zone and they only had 8 nuts in stock but enough to do one flat tire, we were on vacation in Kentucky. Drove home with spare on, we live in Belvidere Illinois. These two piece lug nuts should be outlawed, and using the wrong size sockets should be some kind of code violation, and the correct final torque should be checked with an actual torque wrench, not a best guess setting with your battery impact wrench. My walmarts in Belvidere and Rockford Illinois follow these rules for good reason
Other because it has to do with the stereo system. The BO Unleashed system. When starting the truck a loud deafening high pitched squeal is produced. My ears ring for 1 hour after this happens. Audio system will not operate at that point until the truck is turned off and restarted.

The cruise control did not disengage. I pressed the brake pedal harder, but the truck did not slow down and maintained speed. There was no ABS activation sound or sensation, and no skid marks were left on the roadway. I struck the rear of a tractor trailer because the vehicle failed to slow down or cancel cruise control. In addition, the airbags did not deploy during the collision. This appears to be a failure of the brake pedal input/cruise disengagement system, braking system, and potentially the airbag system. This is a severe safety defect that could result in serious injury or death.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-250 SD. The contact stated that while attempting to roll up the front driver's side window, the window partially rolled up. The contact stated that the front passenger's side window had experienced the same failure. There was no warning light illuminated. Additionally, the infotainment system had defaulted to a factory setting independently, causing the Forward Collision Avoidance system and several other safety features to be deactivated. The contact stated that the failures were intermittent. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer however, the failures could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. When shifting into drive from reverse it will shift very hard into drive. This happens about 4 times a month and it is very forceful. Suspension is very ruff. Very different from other Ford trucks I driven. Rear suspension makes a noise going over bumps and dips.

The other 4 seats (front driver & 3 back seats) in the vehicle engage as soon as a person sits in the seat showing the seat red in the on the dash until the seatbelt is engaged and then turns green with a check mark on it. When a person sits in the front passenger seat the seat does not light up on the dashboard like there is no one sitting in the seat. Once the seatbelt is clicked in, the seat then turns to green with a check mark and then if the seatbelt is unclicked the seat will turn red. I took the vehicle in to be looked at. The Ford Dealership put in a new part and it reacted the same way. They then said that they checked and the seat was working as designed and there was no issue. I asked them to confirm that the airbags would still engage. They would not confirm that. I then called Ford's Hotline with my concerns, they said based on what they could see, the airbags would still engage. I feel that all the seats should react the same way and if a person is sitting in that front seat and doesn't use the seatbelt, the vehicle doesn't recognize that a person is in the seat. And if so, possibly the airbags do not work.

The Variable Displacement Oil Pump delivers oil to the engine at low pressure/capacity during idle conditions. Routine occurrences of prolonged idle time may result in excess wear to the engine camshaft lobes and valve tappet surfaces due to reduced lubrication. Overtime, the engine may progressively run rough due to cylinder misfire. Additionally, customers may hear engine tapping noises and the Check Engine Light may illuminate. This causes delamination of the lifters and camshaft which sends metal throughout the engine causing total engine failure and this requires a completely new engine. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Beyond the financial implications, A sudden breakdown on a busy road can lead to dangerous situations, putting both me and other drivers at risk. Additionally, driving a vehicle with a compromised engine can result in further damage and potentially cause accidents. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes there are many forums and videos online about this issue in the 7.3 Godzilla engine produced by ford. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? My vehicle is currently at the dealership for repairs which they said they are unable to do so I will be taking it to another dealership next week. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? In my vehicle there was no CEL but in other customers vehicles the CEL will appear if the problem is not caught soon enough.
The engine had a life threatening malfunction. Currently, there are arrangements being made to move the truck to my insurance company's property. I'm sure my insurance company would allow and arrange a site visit to inspect the truck. It happened so fast and without warning, we were blessed that we were able to escape the truck without losing our lives or getting severely burned. Anyone who helped or passed by was put at risk due to the fire or possible explosion that could have accrued from the truck fuel tank or trailer propane bottles. The fire inspector and insurance company have conducted there preliminary inspections and are in the process of writing up their reports. There was no warning lamp, message or symptom of a engine problem or failure prior to the engine bursting into flames, but the only warning that accrued after the engine caught fire, was the engine was being shut off.

Upon starting the vehicle the engine made a rattling noise.I turned it off and restarted it and the noise continued. Turned it off again and the noise stopped. Brought it the dealer with a video/recording on my wifes phone so they could hear the noise. The truck was there over a week with the service writer saying they could not duplicate it. The truck was there a few more days before the service writer told me they received a service bulletin instructing them to up the pressure on the oil pump. They did that and told me the truck was fixed.I went out yesterday and the noise has returned, again my wife recorded the noise. Bringing it back again to the dealer. We are afraid to use this truck as we dont want to have an engine failure. This has also been to the dealer for brake squealing and the instrument cluster going totally blank, again being told it cant be duplicated. this truck has 3400 miles on it.

there hasn't been an incident per say and these might not be a safety concern. however i would like to list my grievances here just so there's documentation. my radio has some type of glitch where the phone calls get static like its digital, also the mirrors don't fold in all the time when locked with the key fob, the brakes have squeaked since day 1 and the grab handle in the tailgate just slides right out when the steps are pulled out. again i don't think this really qualifies for dangerous

The vehicle was taken to the local Ford dealer on numerous occasions where various software updates and maintenance checks were performed on the vehicle; however, the failure persisted after each repair. Recently, the contact stated that while the vehicle was idling, there was an abnormal ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact's friend tested the vehicle by placing the vehicle into park and depressing the accelerator pedal; both the contact and the friend noticed that the vehicle would inch forward despite the vehicle being in park. Both the dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure but neither offered any assistance. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 400.

There have been several times my leg gets tired of holding the brake pedal down so hard the truck will creep forward unintentionally. The brakes grunt due to excessive force trying to keep the truck stopped. The dealer blows it off as normal, saying the truck is doing what its supposed to. I don't think the truck should be allowed to high idle in gear. I am afraid that I am going to accidently roll forward and hit someone. I have driven other 3/4 ton trucks and the ford 7.3 engine this is the only one that does this. I called ford and they said there is nothing to do if the dealership says the truck is operating properly.

I’ve been stopped at a stop light and the vehicles starts trying to accelerate on its own. I held the brakes down as hard as a could and the vehicles would start burning rubber on the back tires. This has happened three times.
Air conditioning and heating output on drivers side and passenger side vents swings wildly independent of settings and requires continual manual adjustment or complete airflow/system shutoff. The interior of the cab either bakes or freezes on either side and requires constant operator input to manage. Very unsafe as the driver must continually monitor and adjust looking at the display screen and not the road. Essentially, the same thing as texting continually while navigating all driving situations. Am aware of other 2023 SD Tremor models with the same issue 250-450. No warning lamps no codes present and has been a constant issue since purchased new 6 months ago.
