Component & Inspection: Vehicle engine suffered connecting rod bearing failure and entered restricted P1326 "Limp Home Mode" (max 2,000 RPM). The vehicle is grounded and available for inspection at Bud Clary Hyundai in [XXX].Safety Risk: Sudden, unexpected loss of power occurred while driving, placi

Car has been held for 14 days. The franchise is violating federal settlement rules by explicitly refusing to execute the mandatory, free mechanical Bearing Clearance Test (BCT) unless I pay out-of-pocket fees.Inspection & Corporate Compliance Failure: Car was brought to the dealer on XXX. The service manager admitted in writing that they are withholding safety diagnostics to protect shop labor hours due to an automated computer flag regarding a clerical title brand discrepancy. Hyundai Corporate is actively enabling this violation; my case manager refuses to issue a manual compliance override for the safety test and is violating federal settlement terms by withholding my contractually mandated alternative transportation.Warning Lamps & Symptoms: Flashing Check Engine Light and limp home mode triggered instantly and unexpectedly on XXX. I am reporting a safety defect involving my 2025 GMC Hummer EV 3X (VIN: [XXX]). On XXX at approximately 18,880 miles, I first presented the vehicle for steering/alignment, suspension, and handling concerns. As of this complaint, the vehicle has approximately 26,840 miles. I have driven nearly 8,000
... miles while repeatedly reporting unresolved safety concerns and transporting my two children (ages [XXX] and [XXX]) because I had no practical transportation alternative. Following warranty repairs, including rear control arm replacement, the vehicle developed a severe pull to the right that did not exist before repair. It requires constant steering correction to remain in its lane, and Super Cruise can no longer reliably maintain lane position. Premature and abnormal tire wear has continued throughout the unresolved alignment condition. The vehicle has undergone six warranty-related service events at two authorized GM dealerships. Despite repeated repair attempts and two direct escalations to General Motors requesting repurchase, the only resolution offered has been additional diagnostics and repair attempts. A courtesy loaner was not offered until the sixth service event, after months of unsuccessful repairs, thousands of miles of continued operation, lost wages, and repeated travel. The vehicle also continues to experience water intrusion despite warranty repairs. Rainwater enters the passenger compartment, leaving a persistent musty odor and raising concerns regarding mold, mildew, occupant health, and interior deterioration. I have filed a Georgia Lemon Law claim after exhausting GM’s internal process. I also documented my experience publicly. Posts received approximately 17,500, 48,900, 60,100, and 24,800 views. Many GM owners described similar repair experiences and unresolved INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Incident Description: While driving with my two [XXX] children and husband under normal conditions, the panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 BMW X5 xDrive50e suddenly and unexpectedly shattered without warning. At the time of the incident: There were no weather events (no hail, debris, or extrem
... e conditions) I did not observe any object striking the vehicle There was no prior damage to the sunroof The glass failure was abrupt and loud, sounding like an explosion, consistent with a sudden break rather than gradual damage. There were no warnings or symptoms or sounds of impact prior to the explosion. I immediately documented the damage with photographs taken at the scene, prior to any inspection or handling. Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns: The sudden shattering of the sunroof could startle or distract the driver, increasing the risk of an accident Broken glass could fall into the vehicle cabin, posing a risk of injury to occupants The unexpected nature of the failure creates a hazard at highway speeds This type of failure appears consistent with reports of spontaneous tempered glass breakage, sometimes referred to as “exploding sunroofs.” Manufacturer Response: The vehicle was inspected by the dealership, BMW of San Rafael, and escalated to BMW of North America. BMW determined that the damage was caused by “impact” and denied warranty coverage. However: No clear point of impact (such as a chip, crater, or penetration point) has been identified No foreign object residue or evidence of impact has been provided The determination appears to rely on a visual interpretation of crack patterns, rather than confirmed physical evidence Based on my observations, the fracture pattern appears irregular and distributed, including along the edges, which may be consistent with stress-related or spontaneous failure. 2020 Chevy Blazer RS 3.6L V6: having intermittent issues with ‘check engine’ light activating and giving code P0128 - indicating “Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)”. Symptoms include: - Temp gauge drops to reading “C” (cold), - AC blows w
... arm/hot air, - Dash displays message, “Steering Assist is Reduced, Drive with Care”, - Radiator (electric) fans run full speed. It seems that the computer is interpreting the engine coolant temperature sensor drop as a ‘stuck open’ thermostat, thus the indicated code. However, at the same time it also appears to assume a bad coolant temp sensor, and failsafes to disable the AC and set the radiator fans to max to avoid potential overheating. The problem with this is that this can occur after driving for some period that the engine is suitably warm, then I can pull off the road, disconnect the battery for a few minutes, and everything goes back to normal operation. A broken thermostat would not behave this way. * This happened in Mar 2025 - after disconnecting the battery about 5-6 times over about a 1wk period the code cleared and we were able to pass inspection. The issue did not reoccur until about the same time this year. It has been recurring periodically since. * After reading numerous postings on this issue, with numerous different vehicles that have this engine and computer, I have no faith that the dealership will provide a solution other than charging me to replace the thermostat, and ending up with the same problem a few weeks later.Read more

Following the repair, the vehicle has continued to experience ongoing electrical malfunctions, including dashboard warning lights, system alerts, and dash lights flashing during remote start. The vehicle has also developed a rattling noise underneath the vehicle. The exact failed component has not been clearly identified. The dealership has provided changing diagnoses and has not provided written diagnostic documentation despite requests. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership multiple times; however, the issues have not been resolved. During a recent diagnostic, the dealership stated that the catalytic converter is now the issue, but this does not address the ongoing electrical problems. These issues raise safety concerns due to unpredictable vehicle behavior and potential failure of critical systems while driving. Warning lights and system errors began appearing after the transmission repair and have continued since that time. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.Read more

After about one of second of emergency braking the car released the brakes and resumed cruise control as normal. There were NO other vehicles on th
... e road in front or to the side of us at the time. Due to the unexpected braking, the vehicle following us almost collided into us. The event triggered just before the shadow of the bridge was on road of the underpass. I suspect it was the shadow that might have contributed to this event. However, this is not the first time the vehicle has had false positives in the forward collision detection system. We have experienced many of these, but typically at lower speeds. Generally speaking the “triple beep” and associated Heads Us Display red “brake” symbols briefly flash, then goes away without engaging the brakes automatically, again with these there are no other vehicles present. We have called two different dealers to report this and they tell us there is no associated TSB/service bulletin or recall for our vehicle and no software update for this. We tell them that GM has had several software updates for their Ultium platform with their other vehicles to fix this, but there is still nothing from Honda. There is a SB 25-051 for the 2024 prologues that would seem to address this but it’s not applicable to the 2025 according to them even though the symptoms are the same. My 2018 Mazda CX-5 AWD (2.5L SKYACTIV-G, non-turbo) was diagnosed by a Mazda dealer with a cracked/leaking cylinder head, a known manufacturing defect in the casting of the aluminum cylinder head. Engine oil is leaking from the rear of the cylinder head onto the exhaust manifold, creating a burning
... oil smell and visible oil accumulation at the rear of the engine. This is a documented fire hazard. The Mazda dealer confirmed the diagnosis matches Technical Service Bulletin SA-031-21, which Mazda issued in May 2021 specifically for this defective cylinder head design on 2018–2019 CX-5 models. The dealer additionally informed me that Mazda has internally acknowledged this as a growing, widespread problem across the 2018–2021 CX-5 model years, and that a recall may be forthcoming. Mazda customer service denied my goodwill repair claim despite acknowledging the TSB. The estimated repair cost is $7,000. The vehicle is currently not being driven due to the fire risk of oil contacting the exhaust manifold. This defect appears to affect a significant number of 2018–2021 Mazda CX-5 vehicles. I am requesting NHTSA open a formal safety defect investigation and compel Mazda to issue a recall. Multiple other owners have reported the same issue on NHTSA and in owner forums. This is a manufacturing defect not normal wear and tear and poses a serious fire safety risk to consumers.Read more

Ford refuses to respond to emails nor return calls...... Cracked cylinder head caused from a known issue Ford failed to recall. The 2.0L Ecoboost uses an aluminum cylinder head with relatively thin casting areas between the combustion chamber and coolant passages. Coolant passages run very close to
... the exhaust valve seats. The turbocharged exhaust temperatures are EXTREMELY high. Thin aluminum sections are repeatedly exposed to rapid heating and cooling cycles. Over time this creates micro-fractures int he heat casting, which eventually grow into a crack between the combustion chamber and coolant jacket. This defect tends to occur between 60k - 100k miles. Safety: Car was smoking so bad that it could have caught fire. The car has been inspected by a Ford dealership and declared this to be the problem. The fix is a new engine that costs $12k. There were no warning lamps or symptoms prior to the failure. Car is still deemed inoperable as Ford refuses to help with the fix.Read more
