This software flash directly compromised the vehicle's powertrain logic, creating two notable, daily safety failures. First, within the first 5 minutes of engine startup, and most pronounced on every cold engine startup, the throttle delivery is highly erratic, causing uncommanded low-speed surging. In a specific incident in a parking lot following a cold start, I accelerated to approximately 15 MPH and completely removed my foot from the accelerator pedal to coast. Instead of slowing down, the vehicle unexpectedly lunged and pulled ahead forcefully against my intent. Second, even after reaching full operating temperature, the vehicle completely loses safe and predictable engine braking at greater speeds; when lifting off the gas pedal, engine RPMs aggressively drop, causing the vehicle to coast freely as if in neutral. Re-applying the accelerator causes a violent "phantom shifting" downshift and a hard transmission lockup. My safety and the safety of others are put at risk every time the vehicle is driven. The low-speed throttle surging creates an ongoing risk of hitting pedestrians or cross-traffic, while the permanent loss of predictable engine braking drastically extends stopping distances. No warning lamps or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) appeared prior to or during these continuous failures. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

I had it towed to Rick Case, they told me I needed to replace the piston. I said no this has to do with the oil consumption issue that I brought the car in October that you never addressed. The four new spark plugs that were put in were burnt on the tips. They went through the warranty issue to get the engine repaired and it was denied. I said this is not a warranty issue. This was a mistake on your part because you never address the oil consumption issue in October 2024. As of June 12,2026, the dealership still has my car. When I call and ask, What’s going on with my car. The only response I get is we are trying something else it’s going to take some time. Last summer, the service advisor told me he was going to fix my car, wanted me to come pick it up and drive it for 1000 miles and bring it back. They couldn’t fix the car. They never offered a loaner. The vehicle suffered a catastrophic engine failure and completely stalled in the middle of a live road, creating an immediate highway safety hazard. the vehicle is still being held at Rick Case Hyundai Weston for over a year regarding excessive oil consumption issues, which the dealer failed to resolve. The vehicle's electronic variable valve timing actuator (E-CVVT motor) failed, triggering a severe "Limp Home" engine mode. This defect causes dangerous vehicle surging/jumping during acceleration, limits engine output to 1500 RPM while idling, generates abnormal engine noise, and prevents the vehic
... le from exceeding 60 mph. This makes merging onto fast-moving highways or maintaining the flow of traffic highly hazardous. The component defect was formally diagnosed at an authorized dealership (Herson’s Kia) on March 30, 2026. The manufacturer, Kia America, was formally notified of this powertrain hazard but has delayed providing a remedy under the PI1802/KSDS warranty extension for over 49 days by demanding unrelated fluid maintenance histories for this non-lubricated electronic component. April 20, 2026 NHTSA Safety Complaint I am reporting an unresolved safety issue involving my 2019 Nissan LEAF subject to NHTSA Recall 24V-700. This recall identifies a battery defect that presents a fire risk and requires avoidance of Level 3 (CHAdeMO) charging. There is currently no remedy avail
... able and no repair timeline. This restriction significantly limits the usability of the vehicle, which I rely on for daily transportation and work. The vehicle is also subject to a separate HVAC/defrost-related safety issue that may impact visibility and safe operation, also without an available fix. I made multiple documented attempts to resolve this directly with Nissan Consumer Affairs, including a formal escalation sent via certified mail. Nissan has failed to respond. Additionally, prior written correspondence from Nissan referenced an incorrect vehicle model (“Rogue”) despite having my correct VIN on file, raising serious concerns regarding the accuracy of the review conducted on my case. I am continuing to incur financial hardship for a vehicle I cannot safely or practically use. NHTSA records confirm this recall remains incomplete with no available remedy, and that continued use of Level 3 charging presents a risk of battery fire. Although the issue was later identified as a manufacturer defect, it was not properly addressed when I initially reported engine shaking concerns in 2025. The problem escalated over time and ultimately led to this failure.Despite attempts to repair the vehicle, I continue to experience engine-related issues, including ongoing shaking. I have made multiple efforts to resolve this through the dealership and American Honda, but my concerns have not been adequately addressed. This vehicle is my only means of transportation, and the unresolved defect presents a continued safety risk not only to me but potentially to other drivers. Year: 2022 Make: Chevrolet Model: Silverado 1500 Engine: 2.7L TurboMax (L3B) VIN: [XXX] Mileage at Failure: 119,139 Description of Problem: 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2.7L L3B TurboMax engine is completely inoperable due to Cylinder 4 exhaust roller follower failure causing exhaust camshaft fa
... ilure and bent exhaust valves. Vehicle shakes severely, will not accelerate, check engine light on, and has gone into limp mode. Diagnostic codes P0304 (Cylinder 4 misfire) and P2101 (electronic throttle actuator fault triggered by engine shaking and limp mode) were recorded. All external components including spark plugs, coils, and injector harnesses were inspected and ruled out as causes. Failure is confirmed mechanical and internal. This failure was diagnosed and documented in writing by an authorized Chevrolet dealership on March 12, 2026 (Repair Order XXX, Service Advisor [XXX] ). The dealer's written estimate states verbatim: "Failed Cylinder 4 exhaust roller follower failure causing exhaust camshaft failure and bent exhaust valves. Cylinder head replacement required to correct this concern. Direct cause of engine noise and misfire condition." Dealer repair quote: $10,371.34. A second independent shop confirmed the same failure and cited Active Fuel Management (AFM) and Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) as known contributing design factors in this engine's oil consumption and internal wear pattern. That shop quoted between $11,876.88 and $14,897.35. This is a known pattern in the L3B engine platform. Consumer Reports has documented a 4% catastrophic failure rate in this engine.
Multiple NHTSA complaints exist for this same failure across 2019-2022 model years. GM has issued technical service bulletins but has not issued a recall. I bought the 2007 Honda CRV in 2022. Approximately 1 month ago my keys were locked inside. 3 reputable locksmiths could not unlock any doors. My extra fob or extra key will not unlock any doors. The passenger door had been making a ticking then grinding noise when it locks itself. All 3 locksmiths s

I haven't received any recalls on actuators but there was a class action in 2015-2016 (which I was not the owner then) that stated ALL 2007, 2008 and a few 2009 Honda CRVs were to have the actuators replaced at Honda expense. I'm afraid that if my disabled son is inside and it locks itself, we won't be able to get him out. Please assist me in this matter. The vehicle was delivered with a critical safety defect in the braking system and inoperable safety software (GPS/FSD/Navigation). Upon further inspection by the dealer's own technician, it was confirmed that the vehicle had 'EXTREMELY POOR BRAKE FEEL' and 'EXTREME RUST BUILD UP' on all pads and rot
... ors, which violated Tesla’s 6mm minimum safety standard for used vehicles. Additionally, a physically damaged windshield harness caused the failure of GPS and FSD features. These defects posed a significant safety risk to myself and my family during operation. The dealer has documented and confirmed these safety issues but is now refusing a buyback and is retaliating with storage fees for my rejection of the unsafe product. No warning lights appeared prior to the technician's discovery of the brake defects.Read more

Relates to the Volkswagen Recall: 28H7-Ignition Switch that for some reason is only applied to Jetta's but needs to be expanded to include 2019 Tiguans . In vehicles equipped with a conventional ignition switch, the polyfuse can fail, particularly when the vehicle is operated in high temperature env
... ironments. If the polyfuse fails, it can result in the engine stalling while driving and failure of the vehicle's electrical system, increasing the risk of a crash. I have had this issue happen over 5 times since the initial incident last week. Now anything above 70 degrees Fahrenheit causes the interior to "lose power" but the engine will continue to run. The A/C, infotainment system, all the ADAS, instrument cluster, headlights, and turn signals shuts off completely. No brake lights, no blinkers, no odometer reading, nothing. I can still drive (accelerate & brake) when this is happening but without all of those systems working I cannot safely operate this vehicle.Read more

While backing at low speed in a residential driveway, the vehicle struck a parked car causing significant damage. No ADAS safety systems activated: reverse automatic braking did not engage, no parking sensor warnings sounded, no audible or visual alerts occurred. The vehicle made no attempt to slow
... or stop despite approaching a large stationary obstacle. The vehicle has two open unrepaired recalls at the time of incident: Recall 25V488 (Electronic Brake Booster): EBB module may shut off unexpectedly during ADAS use. The EBB is integral to the electronic braking system ADAS relies on to autonomously apply brakes. If faulted, reverse automatic braking cannot engage regardless of sensor detection. Software fix was available but never applied. Ford documented 37 warranty claims and one crash before issuing this recall. Recall 25V863 (Integrated Park Module): May fail to lock into park. Remedy not yet available. The vehicle provided zero warning of degraded safety capability. No dashboard indicators or alerts that ADAS was unavailable. Multiple overlapping systems failed simultaneously suggesting cascading failure from the EBB fault or multiple independent defects. Ford SSMs 52161, 49767, and 50360 document known Lightning issues with inoperative park aid and reverse brake assist unavailability. The recall notice emphasizes brake pedal feel but does not clearly communicate that the defect can disable automatic emergency braking. Consumers may delay repair not realizing ADAS is compromised. Vehicle is available for inspection.Read more
