The engine failed due to the known recall defect, dealer confirmed loss of compression in cylinders 2 & 4. I am a federal employee stationed overseas on official duty orders, and Hyundai Motor America is delaying safety recall remedies and buyback negotiations since June 9th.

Took car to local dealer, Clay Cooley in Sherman TX, they have been great but Hy
... undai corporate has denied the claim stating lack of maintenance records. Car has 175,000 miles on it, I have only owned it for about 5-6,000 miles. I have changed the oil in it twice myself I was able to prove one of those with a receipt but I don't have the other receipt and have been unable to get it. The dealer has records of oil changes up to 150k miles then I was able to find additional proof of other oil changes through car fax at smaller lube shops. The previous owner before me changed their own oil also and did not keep receipts I reached out to them with no luck. Ultimately there is only about a 10k mile gap of unprovable maintenance, this engine model has a known issue, it did not make it to 175k miles without proper maintenance, I can't control what previous owners did with their receipts but lifetime warranty should be lifetime not only if you can prove every detail from people you can't control.Read more

Purchased a 2025 BMW X1 used in June of 2025; car's steering has had slight, persistent "thump" during low speed return to center since purchase. Dealership has made multiple repair attempts with tech acknowledging it didn't seem right. None of the repairs have resulted in the issue being resolved.
... Latest return to dealership in late June resulted in inquiry with the local field tech, who simply compared my vehicle with another of the same model and claimed that it was the same on the new vehicle. I reached out to BMW of North America and they claimed there was nothing further they could do on their end after opening a case with them in late May. I would at least like an explanation as to why my vehicle has this issue and why it's characteristic of the vehicle, since other people I know with earlier model years of the same vehicle don't have the same problem. I have never driven any other BMW or any other vehicle for that matter that has a normal "thumping" in the steering. As far as I'm concerned, this is not normal behavior especially for a newer vehicle and could be a sign of steering component failure down the lineRead more

I am experiencing the "Jeep Death Wobble" which occurs intermittently after hitting any road imperfections i.e. uneven road surface connections, potholes, or rumble strips, causing a violent and sudden shaking of the steering wheel at highway speeds. I feel like the wheels are going to fall off it
... shakes so bad!!! I either have to slow down to under 45 mph or less, or come to a complete stop in order for it to stop wobbling. This does not happen on smooth road surfaces. I have a stock 2021 Jeep Gladiator which I bought brand new the end of 2020. Whenever this happens, I need to get off the road if there are people behind me as I need to slow my speed and or exit the roadway. This puts me at risk especially when traveling interstate highways with tractor trailers and other large vehicles behind me. Problem: Rear brake flexible hose leak. The right rear flexible brake hose failed as I was driving home. The brake pedal went to the floor. Fortunately, that only occurred one block from my home. I parked my car in my driveway and looked for the source of the problem. My initial thought was that my
... brake master cylinder may have failed, so I added DOT4 brake fluid to the brake fluid reservoir. The fluid immediately drained to the right rear tire and on to the ground. I did an internet search and discovered the recall. On XXX I called my local dealer (Bob Bell Ford, [XXX]) and the lady confirmed that the flexible brake hose for the recall was NOT available. I asked her to document my phone call and concern. Ford's own web site stated that my vehicle has a Ford recall campaign dated 2025-08-25, Campaign 25S87/25V544. Rear flexible brake hose leak. This is a SAFETY issue. I was advised to get the flexible brake line replaced at an independent repair shop and provide the receipts to them for possible reimbursement from Ford. I was informed that the recall has NOT officially been issued and that I should receive notification in September 2026. On XXX called Ford HQ on their Customer Service line. They recorded my VIN. The lady informed me that the flexible brake line was not available and to wait for the official recall notice. I stated to her, in other words, my car should be a paper weight that can't be used. She understood my concern. The only way that Ford would reimburse me would be if the work was done by a Ford dealer, using Ford parts (that's currently impossible). I advised that I had no choice but to take it to an independent repair shop and use aftermarket parts to get the SUV back on the road. She said that she would advise her superiors of my concern. On XXX, my SUV was towed on a flatbed to Prince's Tire and Auto Service Pasadena MD for repair. On XXX Prince's CONFIRMED that the right rear flexible brake hose had failed. ... er, later he called us and indicated that the technician could not replicate the issue. Several months later in November, 2025, with the problem recurring all the time and also happening at other shift points. We took the truck back to the dealer, Mullnax Ford of Central Florida, 1551 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703. We left the vehicle with the service advisor, Sam. Later that day the service manager Sam said the technician “test drove the truck and said needs a new transmission at a cost of almost $10,000.” Based on research I conducted I determined that there was an existing TSB 25-2475 recently issued October 25, 2025 regarding this harsh/delayed shifting issue on the 10R80 transmission and applicable to our Truck. We have taking the truck to 2 Ford dealers asking them to perform the diagnostic process outlined in TSB 25-2475 The harsh shifting is not only annoying, the sudden sharp shift especially at lower speed presents a possible significant safety risk. The harsh shift many times causes the vehicle to lurch unexpectedly. The truck is only 5 years old and has less than 100k miles We sent certified letters to the CEO of Ford and to the Ford Customer Relationship Center, with no response. This is a wide spread problem and is well known to Ford.Read more

In most circumstances the adaptive cruise control (ADC) works well. There is one case where it does not, however. When ADC is active and the vehicle immediately in front shows, perhaps to make a turn, the ADC-equipped vehicle slows appropriately. The problem: Once the front vehicle is *well clea
... r* of the driving lane, often operating 90 degrees to the marked lane on a perpendicular roadway, the ADC-equipped vehicle delays in sensing this and dos not resume the set speed. The effect is for traffic behind the ADC-equipped vehicle to become exceedingly annoyed and a chain-reaction of braking results. Drivers operating behind the Mercedes-Benz have a reasonable expectation that when the traffic in front of the ADC-equipped vehicle is clear the latter will accelerate. This expectation is not met in practice -- ever. The result is near-miss rear end collisions This exact same issues was also observed on a 2025 Mercedes GLE450.Read more

Had a pedestrian, child, or another moving vehicle been behind my car instead of a metal pillar, this software malfunction would have resulted in severe injury or a fatal collision. 3. Inspection Status: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. I am intentionally securing the vehicle to preserve the crucial diagnostic logs and EDR data from being erased or reset during standard repair procedures, pending official data extraction. 4. Warnings/Symptoms: There were absolutely no warning lamps, error messages, or visual/audible symptoms prior to the failure. Furthermore, during the uncommanded acceleration, the system did not issue an FSD disengagement warning or chime. The dashcam footage confirms that the FSD visualization remained active and blue on the screen throughout the entire unintended acceleration event up until the impact.Read more

I own a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe that was purchased on 08/15/2025. The first malfunction occurred on 08/25/2025, only days after purchase, and the vehicle has experienced repeated safety-related issues since then. The vehicle has repeatedly displayed false Forward Collision Warning alerts, Blind Spot W
... arning failures, Park/Neutral errors, and intermittent disabling of safety features. The most serious incident occurred when the vehicle unexpectedly entered “Limit 20 MPH” mode while I was pulling into active traffic with my toddler in the vehicle, limiting acceleration and creating a safety risk. I have also experienced false collision alerts while parked and after the vehicle was shut off. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership multiple times for diagnosis and repair attempts. Some issues were duplicated by dealership personnel, while other visits were documented as “could not duplicate.” A front ultrasonic sensor was replaced, but the vehicle continued experiencing safety-related concerns afterward. During the repair process, I was informed and observed that dealership personnel appeared limited in what repair actions could be taken after consulting Hyundai through their diagnostic system. I was also informed that Hyundai influenced what could be included on service reports and that dealership personnel were instructed to “print the book” rather than fully document observed concerns. I believe this may have affected repair efforts and documentation of ongoing issues. The vehicle has been out of service for extended periods and the issues continue despite repeated repair attempts. Due to the ongoing malfunctions and inconsistent operation of the safety systems, I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle because I am concerned it may not function properly during a real emergency situation. Attached are photos of various dashboard errors and warning messages that occurred during these incidents to document the alerts and malfunctions experienced.Read more

I am writing to request assistance regarding a recurring issue with Recall SC276. Approximately two years ago, I had the hydraulic clutch actuator (HCA) replaced by a dealership as part of this recall. Since then, the vehicle has been driven only 10,000 miles, bringing the total mileage to about 45,
... 000. The vehicle recently broke down, and the dealership confirmed that the replacement HCA has failed. Despite this being the same part addressed by the recall, the dealership quoted $1,700 for the repair, and Kia has declined to cover the cost. I believe Kia should be responsible for this replacement, as the recalled part was intended to provide a long-term solution to a safety issue. I would appreciate any help you can provide in ensuring Kia covers the cost of this repair.Read more

A common issue in GMC vehicles (particularly 2017–2020 Acadias) is a "Steering Assist Reduced" warning message triggered by a failed engine coolant thermostat that gets stuck open. This causes the engine to run too cold (P0128 code), causing the computer to reduce steering assist (which is dangero

The panoramic sunroof glass on my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid spontaneously shattered while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied in an indoor garage for approximately one week. There was no external impact, airborne object, or temperature extreme involved. The vehicle is stored in a covered underground
... parking structure. The glass shattered inward, with fragments falling onto the driver seat, passenger seat, center console, and floor. The sunroof frame shows no signs of external force or impact point. The vehicle had approximately 5,194 miles at the time of discovery. No warning lamps or prior symptoms appeared before the failure. The component is available for inspection. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer representative, though I intend to bring it to a Honda dealership. This issue poses a significant safety risk, as spontaneous shattering of glass over an occupied cabin could cause injury to passengers. I am aware of a class action lawsuit (Tappana v. American Honda Motor Co., Case No. 2:21-cv-09046) alleging Honda has known about this sunroof defect since 1995.Read more

My infotainment unit stoped working after an update that was pushed to the car by Hyundai. My battery was beginning to show signs that it needed replacing (not cranking in the cold temps or needing a few tries to start), so I went to Advance Auto to have the battery replaced. Once back in the car,
... everything was working fine (radio with sirius XM, back up camera, Navigation, Android and Apple car plan, the clock, everything). When I went to reset the clock, the car showed a software update was availabe and needed to be downloaded. Never before, had I seen this. So, I selected update. After 30 minutes of seeing it say downloading, it then started to say install. It gets to where it says, the radio needs to be restarted to complete the update and then gives error code 604. Now the telematics or infotainment works. I reached out to mapit, Hyundia and Bluelink who all say, "to bad for you, buy a new one for $1600". I did not ask for the update, I did not go looking for the update and I did not push the update to my vehicle, Hyundia did and me and the other 2000 owners who are going through this should not have to pay that kind of money to have it repaired. If they new they were shutting down 3G service, then don't push the update to my car. Hyundia has admitted the issue for Hyundia Tusons and a few other vehicles but not for 2015 model Sonata's. So for Tusons they send out 3 SD cards to fix the issue, but refuse to do so for all the cars they pushed an update to that as they called it Bricked the head of the unit. I am looking for help to get this fix without me paying $1600. If Hyundia recognizes the problem in some cars and not others thats an issue. One that we the public would love help addressing.Read more

April 20, 2026 NHTSA Safety Complaint I am reporting an unresolved safety issue involving my 2019 Nissan LEAF subject to NHTSA Recall 24V-700. This recall identifies a battery defect that presents a fire risk and requires avoidance of Level 3 (CHAdeMO) charging. There is currently no remedy avail
... able and no repair timeline. This restriction significantly limits the usability of the vehicle, which I rely on for daily transportation and work. The vehicle is also subject to a separate HVAC/defrost-related safety issue that may impact visibility and safe operation, also without an available fix. I made multiple documented attempts to resolve this directly with Nissan Consumer Affairs, including a formal escalation sent via certified mail. Nissan has failed to respond. Additionally, prior written correspondence from Nissan referenced an incorrect vehicle model (“Rogue”) despite having my correct VIN on file, raising serious concerns regarding the accuracy of the review conducted on my case. I am continuing to incur financial hardship for a vehicle I cannot safely or practically use. NHTSA records confirm this recall remains incomplete with no available remedy, and that continued use of Level 3 charging presents a risk of battery fire. I am requesting investigation into the lack of remedy and manufacturer responseRead more
