Incident date: Jun 8, 2021
The systems affected with failure notifications were Electric Parking Brake, TPMS, Emissions, Brake, Brake Hold, Power Steering, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, Adaptive Cruise (including regular cruise), Collision Mitigation/Avoidance, Road Departure Mitigation. The stored codes in the
... vehicle that I was able to read were P0300, P0303, P0304. This failure bears a striking resemblance to that of TSB 21-010, directed at Keihin manufactured fuel injectors, PN: 16010-RLV-315, which was later replaced with updated ...-305 after the failure was determined, and the vehicles were given a 10 year 150,000 mile warranty. The CRV had injector PN: 16010-5PA-305, also manufactured by Keihin, which was also later revised to 06160-..., but the CRV was not given the same warranty extension, suggesting Honda acknowledged the same defect pattern across both injector families but chose not to extend equivalent coverage to the CRV. 21-010 also details that debris from the high pressure pump may contribute, and the CRV experienced the same fuel pump recall for low density impellers that these vehicles did. Honda is also obligated under TSB 98-081 to perform emissions services due to OBD inadequacy, which this vehicle experienced. Misfires were felt for months with no CEL. The Norm Reeves Honda parts catalog classifies injectors as emissions components, implying they should be covered. However, a Honda dealer in CA, mandated by CARB and EPA, refused to do the repairs or make any goodwill attempt on my behalf. I then reached out to American Honda, who delayed assigning a case manager as long as possible, then required phone contact after initially accepting alternate communication methods, then assigned a case manager whose hours conflicted with my stated availability, then assigned a second who has not answered the phone. I am still awaiting a callback. The vehicle has been immobile and in limp mode for the past two weeks while Honda's callback process remains unresolved.Read more

I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue involving my 2023 Kia Forte GT. The vehicle has experienced persistent mechanical problems, including a check engine light and multiple diagnostic trouble codes, including P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold – Bank 1), P0300 (random/m
... ultiple cylinder misfire), P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), and P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire). These codes have appeared as stored, pending, and permanent, indicating ongoing and unresolved engine and emissions system issues. In addition to these mechanical problems, the vehicle is emitting strong and concerning chemical fumes into the cabin during operation. These fumes are noticeable while driving and create a hazardous environment for occupants, raising concerns of toxic exposure and making the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle also exhibits drivability issues, including jerking and performance irregularities when accelerating. Despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired under warranty at authorized Kia dealerships, including All Star Kia East and All Star Kia Seigen Lane, the dealerships have refused to properly diagnose or repair the vehicle. I have been informed that my vehicle or account is “flagged in all systems,” and service has been denied on that basis. The refusal to address an emissions-related defect, combined with active misfires and the presence of chemical fumes entering the cabin, presents a serious safety risk. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect affecting this vehicle.Read more

On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency brak
... ing system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start initially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.Read more

The case worker had told me she set up an appointment at another local dealer and they would have a rental waiting on me the next morning I asked her to call amd confirm the appt and rental and to call me back Never heard from her again After numerous calls and emails I recieved an email stating she could no longer assist me since I had obtained legal counsel. On the evening of Sept. 13th I was driving in-town appx. 25mph, pulling into a Walmart shopping center, when my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe (Purchased in July of 2023) unexpectedly, with NO WARNING shut down! ... d me to rear-end me. I immediately put on my hazard lights and was attempting to turn the corner to pull it into the parking lot when my steering column seized and the vehicle shut off completely. There were warning lights on the instrument panel, however, I was unable to focus on what they were as I was in sheer panic mode trying not hit or be hit by the sudden shut down of my vehicle. The only warning I can recall was to put the car in park, which I was unable to do because I was in the middle of the road, with no area to pull over too. I have owned my vehicle for just over two months and at the time of the incident this evening the vehicle has 2, 727 miles, 1/2 tank of gas, the battery voltage was normal and it had a small amount of charge. I have read numerous articles stating, including one from NHTSA, that the recall does not affect my jeep as it was manufactured in Oct. 2022. This is incorrect information and if anyone had bothered to do any investigations would find that there are hundreds of complaints on Jeep forums for Jeep Wrangler 4xe's manufactured AFTER the 8/17/22 having this problem. The bigger issue is that there is NO RECALL for the issue because it is past the "end" date for the recall. THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS!! I drive on the highway EVERY DAY to go to work and I can't imagine what would have happened if I had been in the left hand, passing lane when this occurred. SOMEONE COULD BE KILLED! I am bringing my vehicle to Lee Auto Mall Dealership/Service Center in Westbrook, ME first thing tomorrow morning to have the issue looked into / corrected and to inquire if this particular recall had been completed for this vehicle.Read more
