Vantage Mobility International, LLC (Vantage) is recalling certain 2015-2018 Ford Transit Van, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and 2007 Ford F-250-based shuttle vehicles equipped with Freedman GO-3S foldaway seats. When the back seat cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position, the seat cushion may not remain locked into place when under load, such as in a crash or a sudden stop.
Remedy: Vantage has notified owners, instructing them to contact Freedman for a repair kit, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact Freedman customer service at 1-800-443-4540.

Have owned this truck for a couple of years and have been enduring the "Death Wobble" over the local train tracks, but I am always able to control my speed. But the other day while traveling down the interstate, I hit a pothole and truck was shaking until brought the truck to a stop. Luckily I was able to get off the road, but this event could have been much worse. Apparently this is a known problem, and it is a shame that the manufacturer has not fixed this obvious safety issue.

Rear fuel tank strap broke on 6/20/2022. Fuel tank hit ground. Very dangerous cant believe i am only one and this hasnt been recalled.

On our most recent trip, our Ford truck a 2007 F250 model experienced what is called the death wobble, where the front shakes violently. Which occurs in speeds of 70 or higher, when it hits a bump the front end shakes violently. It has happened in the past when we were on vacation. The dealer could not find the cause. It is now at the dealer again, to see what can be done. There is a known class action suit filed in 2019. For Ford F250 & F350 models from 2005 to 2019. Ford knew about it but did not inform any owners. We are wanting to get this on record so you can monitor Ford to see what they are doing about it. It is a shame that people pay big bucks for the trucks and Ford won't tell owners about it or find a true fix. We are also going to file on the class action suit that is out there. PLEASE MAKE FORD ACCOUNTABLE, TO SAVE LIVES
The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the passenger’s and driver’s side rear door locking mechanisms were faulty and the doors could no longer be opened. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was contacted regarding the failure. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

THIS VEHICLE WAS TOWED INTO OUR SHOP BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. WE INSTALLED A NEW STARTER AND LEFT IT OVER NIGHT IN THE STALL WHEN WE CAME BACK IN THE MORNING IT HAD ATTEMPTED TO START ITS SELF AND HAD DRIVEN THROUGH THE DOOR AND OUT ON TO THE LOT WEDGEING ITSELF IN THE NEW CARS. THIS TRUCK IS A STANDARD TRANSMISSION AND WAS LEFT IN GEAR WITH THE KEYS OUT OF THE IGNITION. IF YOU SET THIS TRUCK AND LEAVE IT IT WILL TRAY TO START IT'S SELF. SOME TIMES IT WILL TAKE A DAY OR AS LITTLE AS 10 MINUTES.

I'M JUST A LITTLE UPSET THAT FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THIS ISSUE WITH THE 06 AND 07 F250 FUELING ISSUE, I WENT TO ARVIN,CA AT LUNCH TODAY TO PUT GAS IN BECAUSE I TRY TO MAKE SURE WHEN IT GETS TO A HALF OF A TANK I FILL IT UP, IT TOOK ME 17 MINUTES TO PUT IN 13 GALLONS OF GAS, THAT IS SAD AND I HAVE TO PUT IT IN SO SLOW BECAUSE IT WILL NOT LET ME GO ANY FASTER THAT TO ALWAYS OVER FILLS AND GAS COME OUT AROUND THE FUEL NOZZLE, I REALLY CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. EGL COOLER FAILURE, WHITE SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST PIPE CAUSED BY COOLANT ENTERING INTO THE EMISSION SYSTEM. "ON ALL 6.0 ENGINES THE EGL COOLER WILL FAIL." THIS PROBLEM IS SO "MASSIVE" WITH SO MANY "MASSIVE COMPLAINTS FROM CUSTOMERS" THAT FORD HAS DONE TWO THINGS 1) DESIGNED A BY-PASS KIT AND 2) RE-DESIGNED THE ENGINE TO ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM (6.7 ENGINE). WHEN THE EGL COOLER FAILS, FORD OFFERS TWO SOLUTIONS TO THE CUSTOMER 1) INSTALL THE BY-PASS KIT AND THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED (AT A COST OF $4500) OR 2) REPAIR THE EGL COOLER TO BRING IT "BACK TO FACTORY" (AT A COST OF $4300). FORD TELLS CUSTOMERS THAT IF OPTION 2 IS CHOSEN, THE "EGL COOLER WILL FAIL AGAIN". ALL QUOTES USED ARE DIRECT QUOTES FROM FORD'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT. *TR

PRONOUNCED AND SEVERE SHIMMY AND OSCILLATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN TRAVELING OVER SMALL BUMPS OR DIPS IN THE ROADWAY AND ON UNEVEN DRIVING SURFACES. FORD DEALER CONFIRMED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED A TRACKING BAR AND THE STEERING DAMPER. THESE REPAIRS HELPED BUT DID NOT ELIMINATE THE ISSUE. NEW OEM TIRES WERE INSTALLED 2,000 MILES AFTER THE FORD REPAIR. AS OF DEC 2013 THE VEHICLE NOW HAS 78,578 MILES WHICH IS ONLY 5,000 MILES SINCE THE REPAIR AND 3,000 MILES SINCE NEW OEM TIRES AND THE SAME SEVERE SHIMMY AND OSCILLATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL IS OCCURRING AGAIN. IN DEC 2013 I RECEIVED SPECIAL FIELD ACTION LETTER 09L02 FROM FORD CONCERNING THIS VERY ISSUE. I HAVE A 2007 FORD F-250SD 4X4 WITH A 6.0L DIESEL ENGINE. ON MAY 29, 2012 MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED A NO START CONDITION AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. I CONTACTED FORD AND REQUESTED SOME ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY 6 MONTHS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THE MILEAGE. FORD DENIED THAT ANY ISSUE EXISTS WITH THE FICM IN THE 6.0L ENGINE.
