THE WIRE HARNESS FOR THE POWER LUMBAR FEATURE ON THE SEAT IS UNDERNEATH THE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SUPPORT WIRES. THE SUPPORT WIRES ON THE DRIVER SEAT CAN CONTACT AND DAMAGE THE INSULATION HARNESS RESULTING IN A HIGH RESISTANCE ELECTRICAL SHORT THROUGH THE SUPPORT WIRES.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SEATS ON THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. IF NO DAMAGE IS FOUND, THE DRIVER SEAT WIRE HARNESS WILL BE COVERED WITH A PROTECTIVE CONVOLUTE TUBING, WRAPPED WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE AND THE HARNESS WILL BE REROUTED. IF DAMAGE IS FOUND, THE WIRE HARNESS WILL BE REPLACED.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REMOVE ALL FOAM AND/OR FABRIC SANDWICHED BETWEEN THE RECLINER ASSEMBLY AND THE SEAT FRAME, INSTALL WASHERS BETWEEN THE SEAT RECLINER AND THE SEAT FRAME AT EACH ATTACHMENT POINT, AND INSTALL NEW ATTACHING BOLTS TORQUED TO A HIGHER SPECIFICATION. THESE CORRECTIONS WILL BE MADE TO BOTH THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S SEATS.

The contact owns a 1995 Ford F-150 equipped with a Clutch Max Clutch Kit sold by Clutch America. The part and serial numbers were unknown. The contact stated that while making a right turn into a parking lot, the clutch pedal was depressed and went to the floor and seized. The contact stated that the clutch had disengaged. The contact managed to manually get the shifter into neutral and drifted into a parking space and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that the stem connected to the hydraulic cylinder in the bell housing had detached. The contact stated that the part popped out from the hydraulic unit. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. Consumer stated clutch slave cylinder failed just one month of driving.

My vehicle has 2 fuel tanks. In the last month I have been noticing that the rest tank is pushing gas to the front tank. I have also noticed a strong fuel smell if I select the rear tank first after filling both tanks. Looking on line there is a NHTSA recall on 1990-1993 models. NHTSA # 93v125000. This appears to be a common occurrence on multiple years from what complaints are on line. I have not had the vehicle inspected. I just figured out what the issue is. A mechanic told me that the strong gas smell is the front tank over filling by the rear tank. He said there is a check valve that needs to replaced.

MY TRUCK HAS DUAL FUEL TANKS. FUEL FROM THE FRONT TANK IS DIVERTED INTO THE REAR TANK. THIS CAUSES THE REAR TANK TO OVERFLOW GASOLINE OUT OF THE GAS CAP. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE TRUCK'S ENGINE IS RUNNING AND IT IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THE REAR TANK IS NEVER MORE THAN HALF FULL TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING. WHEN I FIRST DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND OTHER OWNERS OF THIS TRUCK HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I BELIEVE IT CAN BE A FIRE HAZARD IF LEAKING FUEL SHOULD CONTACT THE TRUCKS EXHAUST SYSTEM. I OWN ANOTHER FORD F150 TRUCK WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

WHILE DRIVING MY DUAL TANK 1995 FORD F-150, USING THE REAR TANK, I NOTICED FUEL BEING FORCED OUT OF MY FRONT FUEL FILLER CAP. NOT SURE HOW MUCH FUEL WAS PUMPED OUT PRIOR TO MY NOTICING. I HAD TO LET THE TRUCK SIT WHILE THE FUEL VAPOR DISSIPATED. I FINALLY GOT IT HOME USING THE FRONT TANK. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH IT NOW.

THE CONTACT STATED NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE AND STATED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT DEEMED THE VEHICLE TOTALED. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER FAHRNEY FORD (3105 HIGHLAND AVE, SELMA, CA 93662), WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 189,500.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THE BUSHING THAT DETAINS THE ROD TO THE MASTER CYLINDER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY DISINTEGRATED AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. AFTER GETTING HOME FROM A TRIP, I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING ABOUT 2 HOURS AFTER WE'D BEEN HOME. I WALKED AROUND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IT WAS AND WHEN I WALKED OUTSIDE, I SAW FLAMES COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE HOOD OF OUR 1995 F-150. MY HUSBAND WENT OVER TO THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TO OPEN IT SO HE COULD RELEASE THE HOOD LATCH, GET THE HOOD UP AND PUT OUT THE FIRE. WHEN HE DID THAT, THE OXYGEN FROM OPENING THE DOOR IGNITED THE FLAMES EVEN MORE AND THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK JUST WENT UP IN FLAMES AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT TIRE POPPED FROM THE HEAT. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE CONTACT LOST SLIGHT CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE EXPLODING. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH A SPARE TIRE. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE TIRE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06T016000 (TIRES:TREAD/BELT). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.

MY 1995 FORD F-150 HAS DUEL GAS TANKS AND THE REAR TANK STRAPS HAVE CORRODED CAUSING THE TANK TO LOOSE ALL FUEL(1/2 TANK) LEAKING OVER THE SPARE TIRE AND UNDERSIDE OF THE TANK. THIS STARTED WITH THE SMELL OF RAW FUEL IN JULY BUT COULD NOT FIND THE LEAK UNTIL 3 DAYS AGO WHEN I FOUND A LARGE GAS SPOT ON THE DRIVE WAY DIRECTLY UNDER THE REAR TANK AND THE DRIPPING FUEL FROM THE SPARE. I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER YET BUT AM PLANNING TO THIS WEEK. THE TANK HAS QUIT LEAKING DUE TO BEING PRETTY WELL EMPTY. BUT THE ODOR IS STILL THERE. THE TRUCK HAS 74,062.4 ORIGINAL MILES AT THIS TIME AND I HAVE OWNED IT SINCE NOVEMBER 1974. I HAVE OWNED MANY FORD'S AND EVEN WORKED FOR FORD AT THE HEAVY TRUCK PLANT IN LOUISVILLE KY ALONG WITH MY UNCLE AND TWO COUSINS . NEVER ENCOUNTERED ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE. ON OCTOBER 30TH, 2009 I WAS TRAVELING ON ROUTE 113 TOWARDS PORTLAND, ME. AFTER I WENT BY A GAS STATION IN BROWNFIELD, ME I STARTED TO PASS A VEHICLE. I PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL AND SHORTLY AFTER I UNDERSTOOD THAT I CANNOT CONTROL MY CAR. THE GAS PEDAL STUCK AND BRAKES WERE WORKING ONLY FOR A SHORT WHILE. I GOT TO AROUND 30 MPH FROM 65 MPH. THE WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO RISE FROM THE SIDES OF MY TRACK. IN A SHORT DISTANCE, BRAKES FAIL COMPLETELY AND CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE EVEN MORE. WHEN I REALIZED THE I WAS COMING TO THE BRIDGE IN HIRAM, ME, I DECIDED TO CRASH INTO SOMETHING IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THIS COMPLAINT CONCERNS THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT. WHEN THE SEAT BELT TONGUE IS INSERTED INTO THE BUCKLE THERE IS THE REASSURING "CLICK" AND IT FEELS SECURE AND ENGAGED. HOWEVER, WHEN LEANING FORWARD THE SEAT BELT COMES UNLATCHED. PREVIOUSLY THIS WAS AN OCCASIONAL FAILURE, NOW IT FAILS WHENEVER LEANING FORWARD. I HAVE NOT YET MADE EFFORTS TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. REFERENCE TO RECALL #05V388000. APPROX 7 YEARS AGO THE HARNESS SHORTED OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND WHEN STARTING UP SAW SMOKE AND SMELLED ELECTRICAL SHORT. OBSERVE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT SHORTENING OUT OF THE CRUISE CONTROL WIRE HARNESS. THIS CAUSED THE CRUISE CONTROL (I.E. HORN, SPEED SETTINGS) NOT TO WORK. I CONTACT FORD WHO ADVISED THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THIS. A YEAR OR TWO LATER I SAW A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE. AT THAT TIME REFUSED TO FIX THE WIRE HARNESS AND JUST UNPLUGGED THE ASSEMBLY. I CONTACTED NHTSA WHO ADVISED TO TRY AGAIN AND IF THEY DON'T FIX FILE A COMPLAINT. I TOOK TO FORD DEALER AGAIN WHO ADVISED THEY WILL NOT FIX EVEN THOUGH IT WAS CONNECTED TO THE ITEM THAT SHORTED OUT.
