I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding the well documented transmission shudder issue affecting my 2018 Chevrolet Camaro LT. My vehicle currently has only 29,800 miles, yet it has begun experiencing the same symptoms described in Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 18-NA-355. The
... vehicle's RPM gauge fluctuates noticeably, moving up and down while driving, and the car develops a significant shudder or vibration that can be felt throughout the vehicle. The issue is most noticeable during steady acceleration and cruising speeds. Not only does this affect the driving experience, but it also raises concerns about the long term reliability and safety of the vehicle. What is particularly troubling is that this problem has been widely reported by numerous Chevrolet owners and acknowledged by General Motors through TSB 18-NA-355. Despite the widespread nature of the defect, there has been no recall issued. As a customer, I find it difficult to understand why owners are expected to bear the financial burden of repairing a problem that appears to stem from a known manufacturing or design issue. A vehicle with fewer than 30,000 miles should not experience transmission problems of this magnitude. Many owners face costly repairs, including multiple transmission fluid exchanges, torque converter replacements, and in some cases transmission replacement. These expenses can be significant and create a negative ownership experience. General Motors has built its reputation on quality and customer loyalty, but issues like this damage consumer confidence. When customers encounter known defects and are left responsible for expensive repairs, it discourages future vehicle purchases and harms the brand's reputation. Many current owners, myself included, are reconsidering whether we would purchase another Chevrolet vehicle in the future. I respectfully request that General Motors review this issue and consider issuing a recall or extending warranty coverage for affectRead more

Driver and adult passenger were traveling at highway speed on the NJ Turnpike. The passenger noticed that the airbag light on the display showed "Passenger Airbag OFF" We stopped at the next rest area and found guidance online that the Occupant Detection System sometimes doesn't properly register t
... he weight in the seat so shifting the seat could turn the airbag back on. We did this and the light did come back on. We continued our trip. Shortly after the same issue occurred again. We shifted the seat again and the light came on again. We are not satisfied that the ODS is working properly and the risk is too great to have the burden of readjusting the seat to make a sensor work properly so that airbags, which are consequential safety features, will deploy in the event of a crash. Airbags must function to protect passengers and this is not functioning correctly. The dealer said there is nothing wrong, yet we are aware of an ODS recall for prior year Subaru Outbacks that were displaying similar issues. We want this fixed so we don't have to worry. It is not safe to be traveling in a car and to have to worry about whether your air bag is turned on or adjusting a seat to hope it turns back on.Read more

... nd they said nothing was wrong and I need to keep the sensors clean. It makes no difference if the car is just washed or dirty. I’ll be driving on a city street or highway and all of a sudden the warning lights are on. Sometimes they go off by themselves. Sometimes after I turn off the car they are on but when restarted they are off. Finally tonight about 5:45 on the highway multiple warning lights went on. Engine, all safety warnings, transmission warning, overheating warning. I pull over and all the transmission fluid began to pour out onto the highway. I had to pay 178.00 and wait on the shoulder of a two lane highway for about an hour and a half before the tow truck arrived. I had it left at the dealership and had to pay 80.00 to get a Lyft to my house an hour and 25 minutes away. I will find out tomorrow about the transmission failing but they won’t do anything about the other safety systems going off at random.Read more

Brought it back in and the battery was low and they replaced it. A few months later the vehicle was brought in due to multiple braking events either when pulling forward with no acceleration (nothing was around the vehicle) or putting the vehicle into reverse with no acceleration (nothing behind the vehicle). During these events the car made a loud grinding sound and displayed BRAKE across the dash. The 3rd time at the dealership was due to the car shutting down when put into park and braking when reversing out of a parking spot. The code "epb stopped Incompletely" and the BRAKE message appeared. The dealership checked for codes but the car didn't have any saved. They can't recreate it. I purchased the vehicle in 2017. It was certified used by acura dealer but it was practically new; less than a year old with 10,000 miles on it. Right away I took it to dealership for them to inspect and they said the vehicle needed a "software update" and it should be fine after that. Long story short, it is now 2025 I've taken the vehicle in for a "software update" more times than I can count and I am still living with the same problem. On occasion it gets better and sometimes it gets worse. Especially at higher speeds when the gears seem to go to neutral for a few seconds and then re-engage again on its own which cause jerking/stalling motion.Read more

The AC condenser, compressor, blower, & evapoartor core all broke down. After repair, I’m still receiving a “fog horn noise” audiable sound. This is dangerous as I have no A/C in the hot summer. The dealer inspected the vehicle and confirmed the issue. They will only fix the first two (condens
... or & compressor) under warranty, which I’m not under warranty. They say Honda won't fix the evaporator core even though this one breaking is almost certainly a result of the condesor & compressor breaking. We believe this should also be covered under warranty. There was no warning of the issue. The evaporator core costs $2k to repair and Honda refuses to help, even though the dealer let us know that this part breaking was almost certainly caused by the parts under warranty breaking down. We asked for second oppinions with other mechanics who told us the same thing. Ended up repairing at a 3rd party shop after spending 45 days within 2 years in the shop for this issue, and paying over $5k in diagnostic and recharged coolant. The lemon law statutes are on the horizon, and the prima facie negligence to avoid repair is on the face of this ongoing issue.Read more

Weather Conditions •Temperature: 40°F •Precipitation: Light rain Road Conditions: •Location: Interstate 79 South, Pittsburgh, PA •Road Type: Interstate highway •Road Quality: Normal, no visible deficiencies Vehicle Speed: •Approximately 65 mph Vehicle Occupants: •Driver (Adult) •
... 2 Child Passengers Description of Damage: •27-inch crack across the windshield, extending into the driver’s primary field of vision Summary: While driving southbound on Interstate 79 near Pittsburgh, PA, at approximately 65 mph in light rain and a temperature of 40°F, defroster on , I heard a sudden, loud cracking noise from the windshield. Upon pulling over to inspect, I observed a crack approximately 27 inches long, originating at the base of the windshield and extending upward into my direct line of sight. I marked the crack to monitor its progression and continued the trip with caution. Damage Details and Observations: •The crack originates from the lower edge (root) of the windshield. •The crack changes direction as it extends and intersects with a small surface chip. •The chip measures approximately 0.039 inches (1mm) in diameter and 0.0018 inches (0.1mm) in depth. •The chip is located below the hood line and directly behind the windshield wiper bracket, in an area not easily visible during standard inspections. Vehicle Information: Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition which is marketed and designed with enhanced off-road capabilities relative to the standard Outback model. Concerns: Based on the location, characteristics, and progression of the crack, I have strong doubts that this damage was caused solely by a foreign object impact (FOD). Furthermore, even if FOD was a contributing factor, the small size and isolated position of the chip — in an area shielded by the wiper bracket — raises serious concerns about the structural integrity of the windshield itself. The extent and propagation of the crack appear disproportionate to the damageRead more
