Parking brake failed because crimped stopper at end of cable coming from interior lever failed. The stopper appears to be made of very soft metal and does not have much contact area with wire rope portion of cable. According to the dealership this is a very common failure, however, Chevrolet has dis
... continued the part. The manner in which this failed should never have happened. The car is equipped with a manual transmission and requires a functioning parking brake. Had this broken while the vehicle was parked and I was out of the vehicle, it could have rolled away. There was no indication that this was going to fail prior to failure. I pulled up on the parking brake lever and it just suddenly failed.Read more

All of the lugs nut have swelled likely due to rust under the chrome caps and we can not get the lug wrench provided with the car onto any of the lugs nuts. A properly sized 19mm 4 way lug wrench would not fit either. This prevents us from being able to change a flat tire which could leave us stran
... ded during my commute or on a vacation and left in an unsafe situation on the side.of the highway. This also prevents routine maintenance such as brake wear inspections and tire rotations from being completed. The car has not been taken to a dealer or service center since the issue was noticed but they would also have the same issue and would need to hammer a socket over the lug nut with excessive force. The car has a bad wheel bearing that needs to be replaced but can't since we can not remove the tire.Read more

I have a 2012 Nissan Juke and every one of the door lock actuators has had to be replaced. Using the internal door lock button is more likely to work even when the key fob and extern

I have had to take the car to the dealership many times, pay a $200 diagnostic fee and then sometimes they replace the door actuator and sometimes do not. Over the past 4 years I have replaced 3 of 4 door actuators and will be replacing the 4th door actuator now. I contacted Nissan Consumer Affairs regarding the issue, as it is a known issue, but they refused to assist because the car is no longer under warranty.Read more

In reference to my 2009 Murano, I like to bring my concern/complaint into your attention that since Jan 07, 2023, my Murano's airbag light is blinking. On Jan. 16, 2023, I took my SUV to ACME Nissan dealer situated at 2050 Highway 130, South Brunswick, NJ. 08852 for checkup and repair. Dealer diagno
... sed airbag issue code B1018 and advised "in control unit K8820-1AL0A and 873A2-3Z53A seat sensor are bad and need to be replaced. Dealer mentioned that they cannot replace these part/sensors, because they are not available thru Nissan anymore. Dealer also tried to get these parts from the aftermarket dealer. But these parts are also not available in aftermarket. Not functioning of airbags is a big-time Safety issue. I contacted Nissan customer service support and opened the case (48254432). But some reason they are not helping me at all in resolving this safety issue. Their answer is, they cannot do anything for this issue. While going through the Nissan forum, I noticed that this safety issue is common in Nissan Murano. This wonders that why Nissan have not issued any recall on this airbag safety issues. Are they going to issue the recall after someone die in the accident because of this airbag issues. Now I cannot even trade my SUV because of this safety issue. Now I am too afraid to drive my 2009 Murano. I love my Murano so much it runs like a new and I am not in the position to buy a new Murano at this time. I would really appreciate if you can request Nissan to rectify this issue as soon as possible.Read more
