To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally report a serious safety malfunction involving my 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T Stage 1 EV. This incident has caused significant property damage. I arrived home and pulled into my driveway as I routinely do. I opened my garage door and waited for it
... to fully open before slowly pulling my vehicle into the garage. As soon as the car was positioned in the garage — a maneuver I have performed many times — the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly experienced rapid acceleration without warning. The acceleration was forceful and immediate. The vehicle propelled itself through the back wall of my garage, destroying the wall and items stored there, went airborne, and landed further out into my yard. The entire incident occurred so quickly that I was stunned and had no opportunity to react. Fortunately, I was not physically injured, but the outcome could easily have been catastrophic. The rear wall of my garage was completely destroyed, and my vehicle sustained extensive body damage. My car has been at the dealership, for approximately six weeks awaiting replacement body panels. While my insurance company has handled the property repairs efficiently, I continue to make payments on a vehicle that experienced a frightening malfunction through no fault of my own. My insurance has agreed to the supplemental estimate and committed to payment. But there are body panels that don't even have an ETA. So, I may be waiting for and making payments on a vehicle that I won't feel safe driving. After the incident, once I had time to process what occurred, I researched similar events involving this same vehicle model. I found multiple reports describing nearly identical scenarios, including unintended rapid acceleration while preparing to park. One report described a Dodge Charger Daytona EV accelerating through hedges into the road causing a 3 car crash.Read more

The vehicle frequently experiences problems while idling at red lights or stop signs. Specifically, the engine suddenly shuts off after displaying a message that "Idle Mode is unavailable." This has occurred multiple times, and on five separate occasions, the vehicle became completely immobile, requ
... iring towing to the nearest mechanic. Initially, I had the flywheel and starter motor replaced, which cost me approximately $5,000. However, just three months later, the same issue reappeared. Most recently, while driving home from work, the idle mode failed again at a stop sign, and the engine stopped running. I contacted Acura/Honda regarding this issue, but they informed me that it is not their responsibility. At this point, I am unsure how to proceed or where to seek a reliable fix, and I am concerned about the safety implications of this recurring failure.Read more

My new car is telling me I have a transmission problem. I got in my car to go to work and my car wouldn’t go in drive or reverse. Then my back up camera doesn’t work all the time and my screen gets blurry or complete black.

4WD module was failing. It affected hill braking, AWD and collision alert and other components. These messages popped up on my driver screen repeatedly. Safety was compromised in winter driving in snow with no AWD. Also, safety impaired with no collision assist available and all the other safety

1st: veh purchased Jan 2023 with new set of tires. Within 11k miles, about 9months: Rear tires unable to be aligned properly due to no camber adjustment. Rear tires have excessive inner rear (belts showing) with 11k miles on tires. Took veh to dealership and was told I just need a set of tires and
... an alignment. When the tech was questioned if it was an accurate alignment, we were told it would be off a couple degrees because the OE rear control arms did not have any adjustment. This was repaired by an independent shop using aftermarket set of rear control arms, a proper alignment and 2 new rear tires ($1200)--because Toyota dealer would not own any accountability of an error nor do the PROPER requested repair since proper repair did not involve OE Toyota parts. This was repaired, case closed and tires have 20k miles on them with beautiful, even wear. 2nd: Rear door hatch will not close electronically. 2 incidences of bent (left) hinge from forcing the tailgate closed and damaged rear taillamp from mis-alignment. Post hinges replaced: re-sets have been done, disabling door and re-enabling, and disconnected battery. Still will not close electronically. This had been occurring over a year and no one knows the fix. I will not be going back to my local stealership and the next one is 30 miles away.Read more

I’m currently experiencing the following safety issues with my Fisker Ocean One: 1. Seat sensor - does not sense a person sitting which affects the ability to put the vehicle into gear or automatically puts the vehicle into park if in gear. Huge safety concern since the vehicle has been placed int
... o park in the middle of a traffic intersection or will not go into drive after waiting at a red light or stop sign. Have had near hits from the rear. 2. Windshield - there are zero available options to quickly replace a cracked windshield. Replacement windshields are not available anywhere and if for some miracle you can locate one (via eBay) you cannot find a shop that will replace it. I’ve called multiple windshield repair companies for many months and non of them carry the windshield or have the tools needed to recalibrate the ADAS. Driving with a cracked windshield is a very big safety hazard due to extreme visibility reduction. Could cause crash or hitting pedestrians.Read more

My 2005 Toyota Corolla airbags have been recalled AT LEAST TWICE already(?) and I have been to the dealer at least twice, for airbag recall repairs. Guess what? The red dashboard airbag light came on AGAIN! I took the 2005 Corolla to the Toyota dealer and the dealer announced that I have to pay for
... the latest airbag warning ⛔️ dashboard light problem. Since the airbag is an obvious “problem area” for Toyota, and I never have used the airbags…I feel this latest “airbag problem” should be fixed, by Toyota for free. Toyotas infamous and repeated “airbag problem’” has reappeared… yet again! I don’t have the exact date and time the airbag warning light reappeared (again) and there was never an accident where the airbags were deployed, or a certain speed at which the warning light suddenly comes on. The airbag warning light is on 99% of the time. I also don’t have the mileage at which the airbag warning light reappeared (again) but there is currently approximately 146,000 miles on the 2005 car. Since I have NEVER USED the 2005 Corollas airbag and Toyota has a systematic, widespread, & REPEATEDLY fixed problem with this airbag, I wonder why should I have to pay for airbag repairs?Read more

Re: Front left and right Toyo Tires (195/65R15 ) Having passed MA state inspection at the end of August my husband and I headed out for a 500 mile road trip. I purposely went back to the station that did the inspection and asked if the tires looked okay for this trip. I was assured they would be fin
... e. But 100 miles into the trip the front end was shimmying so badly my husband's leg in the passenger seat was vibrating. He didn't sleep that night and said, "I think we should look into new tires if we're going to continue." I found a Town Fair Tire store in Northhampton, MA and booked an appointment. On arrival one of the specialists came out to inspect the tires I wanted to change out and he stopped in his tracks to shake his head in disbelief. His words were, "You have been driving on secondary rubber and just last evening a woman was towed in with her Prius, same year, same mileage but she had blown a tire because of the poor tread." That was all I had to hear. It would be different if it was just me but here were two of us with 34,000 miles on our Prius' and horribly worn out tires. What's the likelihood of that? I am sick thinking that Toyota stuck such cheap tires on a car which could have threatened our lives. Greed is what drives these decisions and it has to stop!Read more

* At times the steering wheel locks up and won't allow you to make adjustments in either direction while you are driving. The steering seems to freeze up. The steering then all of a sudden seems to release in response to you trying to correct the direction of the car. This causes the car to then
... jerk while it feels like the steering releases. It also feels as though you are fighting with the steering to keep car going correct direction. Very annoying and concerned about my safety. It is available for inspection and has been inspected by Pensacola, FL Honda. The first time was in 2022 and they found nothing wrong - despite my concerns and I feel the problem obvious. Problem persisted. Had others drive as I thought I was being crazy. In 2023 I returned to same dealership was told known problem. Electronic power steering rack. Part on back order until July 2023. In military and have to drive this car over 1000 miles end of May 2023. Getting run around from same Honda dealership and American Honda Motor Co. I am concerned for my safety with the drive I must make. Dealerships are independent and don't work together. American Honda Motor Co. independent of dealerships. Have to have part ordered with order number for try and get help from American Honda Motor Co. Was told to have part ordered by Honda dealership in Omaha, NE by American Honda Motor Co. Need part before drive of 1000 miles made. I have done this and now I wait. Concerned about my safety and others when I drive this vehicle. I have no other vehicle to drive. I saw NHTSA on 3/25/23 investigating what I feel is this problem. Risk associated with problem "which increases the risk of a crash and injury." Very frustrating such a rich company with net worth of $45 billion dollars worries about profit over safety. *No warning lamps or messages have ever appeared.Read more

THEY INITIALLY REPLACED THE BOOSTER AND DISCOVERED THAT THAT DID NOT FIX WHATEVER WAS CAUSING THE WARNINGS AND DTCS. THEY COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY A FAULT IN THE MASTER CYLIDER WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE ARRAY OF SYMOTOMS OBSERVED BY BOTH MYSELF AND THE MECHANICS.
