The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.
Remedy: Icon will notify owners, and dealers will install a new shock assembly with a revised foam ring and steel support disc, free of charge. The recall began December 21, 2020. Owners may contact Icon customer service at 1-951-689-4266.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2015 Ford F-350, F-450, and F-550 trucks manufactured February 22, 2010, to January 30, 2015, and equipped with ambulance or fire engine preparation packages. The affected vehicles may detect an incorrect Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (EGT) fault indicating that the vehicle is too hot, causing the engine management system to shut down the engine and prevent its immediate restart.
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, free of charge. The recall began on April 22, 2015. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 15S09.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain model year 2015 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks manufactured September 13, 2013, through March 28, 2014, and equipped with 6.2L gasoline or 6.7L diesel engines and 6R140 transmissions. An error with the transmission control software may be such that while shifting from "Park" to "Drive" the vehicle may display "Drive" but possibly engage "Reverse" for 1.5 seconds before engaging "Drive." Therefore, the vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, "Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect."
Remedy: Ford will notify owners, and dealers will update the transmission software, free of charge. The recall began on May 6, 2014. Owners may contact Fords customer service at 1-800-392-3673. Ford's number for this recall is 14C04.

THE CONTACT SLOWED THE VEHICLE DOWN UNTIL THE SHAKING CEASED AND RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE CONTACT DROVE TO LARRY H. MILLER FORD LINCOLN DRAPER (11442 LONE PEAK PKWY, DRAPER, UT 84020, 801-590-0561) WHERE A FEW UNKNOWN PARTS WERE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT 45-60 MILES PER HOUR AND WHILE IN 6TH GEAR (AUTOMATIC) AFTER THE "CLEANING EXHAUST FILTER" MESSAGE COMES ON WHEN IT CLEANS THE EXHAUST TWICE WITHIN A 100 MILES, THE ENGINE WILL SHAKE AND KNOCKING/SPIKING NOISE AFTER THE SECOND CLEANING. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND I AM UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM AT THE DEALERSHIP. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT WHEN IT DOES IT FEELS LIKE YOU HAVE A LOOSE WHEEL AND IT WILL JERKING BACKWARDS AND FORTH. FORD SEEMS UNAWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND HAS NO REMEDIATION ON HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS STARTED AROUND 8000 MILES THE TRUCK HAS 32,000 MILES NOW.

I'M CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY COMPANY AS WE CAN BE PULLING TRAILERS AND CAN NOT HAVE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR WHEN ON BUSY ROADS. I WAS ON A VACATION TRIP TO DAYTONA BEACH FL. FROM THE DALLAS, TX AREA. I HAVE A DUAL AXLE RV. THIS BRAND NEW TIRE (TOWMAX) ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY RV HAD LESS THAN 700 MILES ON IT WHEN IT EXPLODED. I WAS TRAVELING AT NO MORE THAN 65MPH. THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS CHECKED BEFORE I LEFT AND IT WAS AT 80PSI. THE SECOND TIRE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY RV HAD LESS THAN 1100 MILES WHEN IT EXPLODED. WE COULD HEAR THE EXPLOSION IN THE CAB OF MY TRUCK. WE HAD NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR MORE THAN 20 MILES. AGAIN THE SPEED WAS NO MORE THAN 65MPH AND THE TIRE PRESSURES WERE CHECKED AT 80PSI BEFORE I LEFT. I ALSO HAD TIRE PRESSURE MONITORS ON THE TIRES. IF THE SECOND TIRE ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE FAILED TIRE HAD BLOWN, IT WOULD HAVE ROLLED THE RV. SOMEONE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED.

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE INSIDE OF ONE OF THE TIRES WAS FLAT. THE TIRE WAS REMOVED AND TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,000.

AT TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT 50-55 MILES PER HOUR WHEN "CLEANING EXHAUST FILTER" MESSAGE COMES ON, THE ENGINE WILL SHAKE AND KNOCK VIOLENTLY. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND AM UNABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM AT THE DEALERSHIP. IT DOESN'T HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT WHEN IT DOES IT FEELS LIKE YOU HAVE FOUR FLAT TIRES AND IT IS VERY VIOLENT. FORD SAID THIS IS NORMAL, I KNOW IT'S NOT. WE LIVE ON VERY NARROW AND WINDING ROADS IN THE MOUNTAINS. I'M AFRAID THAT IF THIS HAPPENS ON SNOWY OR ICY ROADS CONDITIONS THE VEHICLE WILL BE VERY HAD TO CONTROL. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES. THE DATE BELOW IS THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, MILEAGE WAS 6,865. THIS FIRST HAPPENED AT ABOUT 4500 MILES. SEEMS TO HAPPEN AT ABOUT 400-600 MILES.

THE VEHICLE IS A DIESEL, AND WHEN IT ENTERS REGEN MODE TO CLEAN THE EXHAUST FILTER APP. ONE MINUTES AFTERWARD THE ENGINE ROUGHS VERY ROUGH AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL. THIS CONTINUES FOR 2-3 MINUTES. THE TRUCK REMAINS RUNNING, BUT WILL PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL AT ALL RESULTS IN BUCKING AND SHAKING UNTIL I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE PEDAL. THE ISSUE BEGAN AT AROUND 2500-3000 MILES, AND THERE ARE CURRENTLY 8400 ON THE TRUCK. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE EXHAUST FILTER IS CLEANED.

I HAVE A 2015 6.7 DIESEL. IT GOES THROUGH THE EXHAUST FILTER CLEANING ABOUT EVERY 200 MILES WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING. AFTER THIS PROCESS STARTS THE ENGINE RUNS EXTREMELY ROUGH, LIKE IT'S READY TO DROP OUT, LOSSES POWER & THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHAKES. THERE IS ALSO A VERY LOUD CLATTER IF I STEP ON THE GAS. THERE ARE NO ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING.

RUNS ROUGH, SHAKES, VIBRATION, THE EXHAUST CLEANING SYSTEM WILL NOT FINISH, AND THE TRUCK HAS HAD MULTIPLE OCCURENCES BUT IT WAS WORSE TODAY, WHEN PUSHING ON THE GAS PEDAL IT WOULD JUST KEEP DECLINING IN SPEED AND IT WAS LIKE IT COULD NOT GET ANY POWER SO I PARKED THE TRUCK CALLED FORD HAD IT TOWED, AND WHILE WAITING I THOUGHT I WOULD START IT AND BACK UP AND TAKE TO SEE IF IT WAS STILL BAD AND IT WOULD NOT EVEN GO IN REVERSE SO I PUT TRUCK BACK IN PARK AND SHUT IT OFF, FORD SAYS THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE SYSTEM BUT THEY HAVE NOT FIGURED IT OUT YET NOR DO THEY NO HOW TO EVEN FIX IT AT THIS POINT AND THEY SENT ME HOME IN THE TRUCK.

THE VEHICLE IS A 6.7 FORD POWER STROKE. DURING A PROCESS CALLED REGEN, WHERE IS CLEANS THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER, THE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE VIOLENTLY. IT GOT WORSE OVERTIME, TO THE POINT IT STARTED DOING IT WILE I WAS MERGING ONTO INTERSTATE, PULLING A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT (9000LB) ON A TRAILER. IT WAS DANGEROUS WITH THE LOSS OF POWER. I HAVE SINCE TRADED IT BACK TO DEALER AS FORD HAS SAID IT IS NORMAL OPERATION.

I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LESS THAN 10 DAYS AGO. SERVICE BROUGHT IT IN AND I EXPLAINED THE ISSUE OF LOSS OF CONTROL AND AN UNSAFE CONDITION.
