My 2014 Tiguan, VIN [XXX], has been serviced at an authorized VW dealer since I purchased it. From 2014 to December 2025, the vehicle was serviced at a VW dealer and March 2026 to present at a service facility that only works on VWs and is owned and operated by a prior VW certified technician who o
... nly works on VWs. My vehicle has been serviced at all the VW recommended maintenance mileage. Looking back at the maintenance records, I can see that in March and August 2025, my vehicle experienced a check engine light issue that resulted in EVAP system small leak fault and vibration at start up caused by misfire cylinder. In April 2026, June 2026 and July 2026, I had to take my Tiguan in because I felt the engine shake, check engine light came on and power decrease. The VW technican replaced some components related to the turbocharger system in April and the check engine light turned off. The check engine light turned back on in June in June and July 2026. The technician stated the issue was likely a airflow flap within the turbocharger causing the issue and the entire turbocharger would have to be replaced to remedy the issue. I discovered the recent class action settlement on this same issue and shared it with my mechanic. His professional opinion was that the issues I was having were exactly what was covered in the settlement covering my vehicle but i had 94k miles and had to have less than 85k miles. So, I was not covered because of the mileage. But I believe the issues the vehicle had going back to March 2025, were all turbocharger issues. In any case, my mechanic reached out to VW to get assistance because of the mounting repair costs for me and for all of his other VW owners experiencing turbocharger defects. It is my hope that others have shared similar complaints in search of relief from NHTSA investigating the defective VW turbocharges. VW has a negative track record on it's turbochargers. On June 1, 2026, software update 68C was performed at the dealership on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. On June 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 a.m., after driving the vehicle for about 25 minutes, I experienced a serious malfunction. While making a turn at a speed of less than 10 mph, the vehicle sudden
... ly and without warning lost throttle and propulsion. It appeared to hesitate as though shifting between electric and gasoline power, and then abruptly and erratically lurched forward, accelerating to what felt like maximum speed. The Jeep struck a chain-link fence, which slowed its movement, but it continued to surge forward. I applied the brakes and attempted to maintain control of the vehicle, but it kept lurching ahead. At no point did the vehicle emit a safety warning, sound an alert, or attempt to stop automatically, even though it normally responds to obstacles when operating properly. I repeatedly attempted to place the vehicle in reverse, but it did not respond. I turned the engine off and back on several times, and only after more than three attempts did the vehicle finally recognize reverse, allowing me to back away from the fence. A man in a truck assisted me and contacted the police. Both the responding police officer and the assisting individual expressed concern about the potential danger, particularly because the vehicle is a 4xe. I am now extremely hesitant and fearful to operate or move the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection and has not been inspected yet by dealership or insurance. I have it parked outside of my residence.Read more

Tires are LT275/65R20. While driving on interstate at approximately the speed limit and low 80 degree temperatures in South Carolina with proper placard pressure tire inflation checked two days prior, the truck developed a faint vibration which got worse over three or four miles. I slowed my speed
... and pulled over at next offramp and visually inspected truck for signs of vibration. Including looking over tires. It seemed like a drive line issue, however truck is a 2021 model with only 38,000 miles. After I could not find anything out of place I got back on the interstate to see if problems still existed. I was only traveling at 45 mph and vibration was getting worse, so I tried to slow and make it to next offramp when the driver side tire blew out causing me to have to quickly react to prevent having an accident. The tire tread and multiple parts of the truck inner fender guards and liner were thrown out into traffic and truck bed side is badly damaged. Prior to blow out there were no warnings on the dash board to to indicate any sort of issue and I verified tire pressures when I stopped after the vibration initially set in. The TPMS system was working properly at the time of the blowout. I have the tire if further inspection is warranted. My safety was at risk when tire blew out on the interstate along with vehicles traveling around me to avoid hitting the flying debris and tire tread. Further this was driver side tire and I had to change the tire on the side of the interstate with traffic right beside my vehicle. I called GMC and they said they would do nothing to help because they see tires as a maintenance item and truck is out of warranty period. I am a mechanical engineer having worked many years for major tire company as a tire design engineer. I am very familiar with load ratings, tire wear, life expectancies, and I believe theis tires failed prematurely. I bought this truck new and have always had tires properly inflated a never overloaded.Read more

On approximately January 24, 2026 my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD equipped with the 6.6 Duramax Diesel displayed an error code (P20B9). This error code was found to be related to the diesel exhaust fluid system specifically relating to "Reductant Heater A Control Circuit/Open." On January 27, 202
... 6, the vehicle was diagnosed at Chevrolet dealership and the following was reported "Diesel Emissions Fluid Tank Remove and Replace - P20B9 SET FOR REDUCTANT HEATER CIRCUIT...COMMANDED ON AND ZERO AMPS..CIRCUITFAILURE... DISCONNECT PUMP MODULE AND BURNED/OVERHEATED TERMINALS..PUMP MODULE AND HARNESS PART OF TANK ASSEMBLY... LABOR TIME ADDED TO PERFORM MALFUNCTION/TAMPER TEST TO CLEAR EMISSIONS MESSAGE...." I found the "burned/overheated terminals" comment to be alarming. I looked into this matter further and found a GM Service Bulletin (21-NA-006) from October 2022. This bulletin identified this issue which contained an image showing burned/overheated terminals. The identified cause within the bulletin states "This condition may be caused by a poor connection at the Emission Reduction Fluid Tank electrical connector." I believe this should upgraded to a safety recall due the the potential of this terminal connection catching fire which could be detrimental for the operator, passengers, property, and the public.Read more

While driving 70mph on the interstate, the truck randomly shut off. I lost power steering. Luckily I was going straight and there were no curves in the road, and I managed to pull the truck and trailer to the side of the road. All electrical assist, steering and brakes turned completely off, radi
... o turned off, all electrical power was off. The engine shut off as well. As I was pulling over, the electrical turned back on but the engine did not. Once I was stopped, I turned the key off, waited 30 seconds, and then started the truck. It ran fine the rest of the way home, approximately 30 miles. I have not drove the truck since. This has happened 3 times, once parked idling after I pressed the door unlock button and the other time in the middle of an intersection. I took the truck to the dealership, paid for the inspection fee, but they could not recreate or find any wiring problems. It did throw a code when it happened, U0121 (Lost communication with ABS module). The dealer said they had to recreate it to diagnosis. I am fearful if I continue to drive the truck to pull my trailer, this could happen again while I am in a turn and I will not be able to continue to turn or stop the vehicle without electrical assist. Dodge does not seem interested in trying to fix this safety issue.Read more

While driving our well-maintained 2016 Acura MDX on a 30-minute drive on [XXX] , I heard a pop, and then the engine lost power. I couldn't get the RPMs over 2500. A fluttering noise evolved into knocking and the vehicle became increasingly sluggish and heavy. The check engine light started blinkin

I felt terrified trying to get safely onto the side of the road with cars driving at full speed. I had the car dropped off at our local service station and the owner determined that the engine cylinder was loose and lost compression with a knock. He says that the engine light did not give a code. The owner determined that we need to replace the engine. A rebuilt engine will cost us $8,000. When I called Acura, the service person I spoke with seemed surprised that our 8-year-old car with only 77,000 miles needed a new engine. Since Acura has so many cars to deal with on the latest recall, he said it would be weeks before anyone can look at it. I researched and found that our VPN was NOT included in the recent recall of 2016-2020 model year MDX vehicles all with the same problems. How can that be???? My daughter has a 2014 VW Tiguan which had the Check Engine light come on at the end of July 2022. We took vehicle to the local VW Dealer who informed us that they found Code p0328 knock sensor 1 circuit high. Oil level said to be fine. Timing angle difference of camshafts said to be at a value o

Have to wonder if these 2014 Tiguans also have an issue but simply weren't extended into the recall or the recall wasn't comprehensive enough? The part is not available for this car so dealerships are unable to repair this issue. According to the NHTSA, this issue needs to be resolved in on e of the ways listed above and so far my safety has been neglected by not only the local dealerships but also by Volkswagen USA. I now have 2 months until my inspection expires and I will not be able to legally drive a car due to the negligence of the manufacturer.Read more

Clock spring failed in the steering wheel after having the part replaced 2 years ago under a VW warranty. Now that the clock spring failed a second I am told that there is no ETA to get the vehicle fixed and there are over 10k people waiting for the part needed to fix the vehicle. The wait is lik
... ely over 9 months. With a failed clock spring the airbags do not work. The horn also doesn't work. 2 key safety features are no longer working in my vehicle because of a manufactures defect that is highly known. VW taking no responsibility and will not expedite parts replacement or offer an alternate vehicle. Because of VW a vehicle that would fail a safety inspection in most states will be on the road. They are not offering a loaner vehicle and are instead allowing cars to be on the road without horns and airbags. This should be a recall and VW should have to pay for damaged vehicles that are unsafe to drive.Read more

Took car to shop with a noise in the steering column and the SRS light is on. Automotive shop (attachment) diagnosed vehicle needs a new clock spring for the SRS system but the part is on back order with no release date as of now. This part has been unfindable for over five months, leaving the vehic
... le unable to be safely driven or sold/traded-in as the VW dealerships will not pay what vehicle is worth because of VW's own part issue. This leaves the consumer in a really bad position. There is no functioning airbag and VW can't come up with the part. This is a persistent issue, including a previous NHTSA investigation, see these links: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jensen/2017/11/17/feds-investigate-volkswagens-reluctant-recall/?sh=53b9719e3b77 http://www.vwproblems.com/clock-spring-failure/ We had this fixed initially under the first recall, but the issues persists for who knows how many car owners.Read more

We were driving on a highway and all of a sudden felt/heard a loud bang causing the car to swerve. We slowed down and there was a continuous loud rattling sound. We brought the car to the dealership and they told us the coil springs were fractured. Had to pay for the replacement- $2,825.73. Then we
... learned that the later models were recalled, but not this one. Then I heard that there was a recall from 2019 onwards, but nothing for our model year. We asked them to talk to Volkswagen and they said it was not worth it as they would not do anything about it. Something is not right.Read more
