The component affected is the passenger side mirror. The plastic cap over the mirror spontaneously cracked. It sounded like my CRV was hit by a rock. I looked over and my mirror was folded into the vehicle. The mirror works, it is not cracked and the movement via the driver side buttons works. Upon stopping and looking, the plastic was broken from the bottom around the interior of the cap. Exterior plastic piece was left. I used black duct tape to keep the remaining pieces together. No warning signs. Pieces of plastic flew off the mirror into the roadway where cars were parked and people would be standing. My CRV is going in for an inspection on 4/2/2026.

Started with what sounds like a pump running after car shut down then today whole garage smelled like gasoline.
AIR BAGS Mar 14, 2026
I was involved in an accident which resulted in my C-RV being totaled. Another vehicle pulled out immediately in front of me and I crashed into it. None of my airbags deployed. My vehicle's emergency response system was activated- it called emergency response and kept repeating that a crash had been detected. The front of my car was crushed in and the impact sent the vehicle that pulled out in front of me, a Toyota 4Runner, doing a full roll and ending up on its side. Clearly, the airbags should have activated. I purchased the CR-V new, was the only owner, the vehicle had less than 5,000 miles on it, had never been in an accident, and there were no warning lights or messages indicating any problem with the airbag system prior to the accident. The car was deemed a total loss by my insurance company.

With temperature in mid 20sF, defrost system would not clear drivers side windshield. With freezing rain i had to stop and clear windshield multiple times. Inability of defrost system design to clear created a driving hazard. Service rep at dealer stated Honda design for defrost was not symmetrical ie drivers side was not focused the same as passenger side.

2025 Honda CRV "sticky steering"worm gear spring just started in my car and getting worse. I read about a recall and haven't received my notice.
STEERING Mar 10, 2026
Unknown: Steering is stiff. Minor changes like maintaining lanes or changing lanes is becoming increasingly difficult. Large motions are fluid. It feels like it’s sticky. When I change lanes or other minor changes it takes a lot of work to move the car back to its original position. Having issues where it gets caught in certain positions causing significant steering issues.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL Mar 8, 2026
My 2025 Honda CRV Hybrid seems to randomly accelerate on its own. This has happened at least 4 or 5 times over the past year. At first I thought I was imagining it but then I noticed it happened again, multiple times. Each time I was NOT pressing the gas pedal nor at any time was I using cruise control. I never use the cruise control. The vehicle seems to accelerate on its on for about 3-4 seconds then stops when I press the break. Clearly uncontrollable and unexpected acceleration of the vehicle puts me, my passengers and others are at risk. I called my local Honda Dealer Service Department and was told that unless I can recreate the random and spontaneous acceleration at the dealership then they won't be able to diagnosis or write for the issue. The Honda Service Rep said sense I have no idea when it is going to happen again he cannot set a appointment for me to come in without having a current issue. Because the acceleration is random and because I cannot recreate it at will, the problem has NOT been confirmed by a dealer or service center and the vehicle has not been inspected. The acceleration issue is random and spontaneous with no warning lamps, no messages and no other symptoms prior to. Once it stops it may no happen again for weeks or months. However as mentioned about it has happened at least 4 to 5 times within the past year with the most recent occurrence on March 6th 2026 ----End-----

The clock spring assembly makes a noise whenever I turn the steering - this was once fixed through replacement by long beach honda and a couple of months later the issue came up again. Now, the dealer says Honda should be addressing it. The issue today till exists on vehicle and Honda refuses to take any action which is very weird as many users on online threads report the same issue. I am not sure if this might be related to the recall number (24V744000) but my car shows no open recalls. Long Beach Honda confirmed the issue and replaced the part once, but the issue came up again after a couple of months itself. see this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/crv/s/vGOzgTLDNO

2025 Honda CRV Hybrid windshield wiper fluid does not spray. Instead the fluid is dribbled on to the sides of the front windshield but does not clean the majority of the windshield that you need to navigate with. This new design is highly INEFFECTIVE in cleaning window of dirt, bugs, grime, etc., and makes seeing clearly while driving very difficult and UNSAFE. Even after initiating the windshield wiper "spray" numerous times in a row, the window was left dirty and difficult to see through. Terrible, unsafe, design.

I’m driving a Honda CRV 2025. It recently has an electrical issue. It has happened 3 times. Two while starting up the car that I couldn’t start up the car. And one while I was backing off my car on the driveway, the car was suddenly stopped in the middle of the road. When it happened, dashboard lights were flickering randomly, and there was some electric noise on and off. I have brought the car to the dealer for a diagnostic, but they couldn’t reproduce or find any issue. They even said that they have tested and verified that the car was totally safe to drive. That raised me a safety concern if the car suddenly stop when I’m on freeway at high speed.

When starting the car up and backing out of my garage It sounds like my rotors or brakes are grinding I took it to the dealer, and they told me that that was standard on the 2025 CRV. It is grinding so loud and hard like it is cutting into the rotors. I need someone to take responsibility. My car is only less than one year old.It will be one year on 2/20/2026. This is my seventh c r v and i've never had this problem before.
TIRES Feb 9, 2026
I purchased this 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid on 11/06/2024 from Tower Honda in Longview, Texas. I purchased the vehicle with the Hankook Kinergy GT tires already on there, and these tires are still on here till this day. On January 19th, 2026, I went in for an oil change, and my service advisor mentioned a tire rotation. Once they were finished with the vehicle he did share with me that I only had 10%-20% tread life left. I only have 32,176 miles on my vehicle, and after researching, the tread life on these tires is 70,000 - 75,000 miles. Their are customers that have, and or having the same problem that I am having. During my research Hankook Tires are known to have premature tread wear, tread separation/sidewall issues, poor longevity, and sometimes difficulty warrant claims. I can't believe dealerships would even allow these type of tires on vehicles knowing that the tread life and value is horrible, but I guess at the end of the day, everyone is trying to make a sale, and safety doesn't matter. I think Hankook Tires better take heed at the complaints, and issues of their tires. These serious issues can turn into legal matters for this company. My tire size is 235/60R18

On 02/03/2026 while driving on a flat smooth asphalt highway at 55 miles per hour our sunroof just exploded. We didn't see anything hitting us although we did meet a few oncoming cars and trucks, but none were close when this happened. Luckily we had the inside blind shut so we didn't get covered with glass chips. Neither my wife or myself ever remember opening the sunroof or the inside blind so we don't even know if the sunroof would move of if it was stuck. Called Honda dealership locally to see if there was a recall for this breakage, but they there was none and it would have to turned into our insurance. The new glass is ordered, but we have to keep our 2025 CRV garaged and only driven very short trips. It will take 8 days to get this repaired. We have 15,000 miles on our CRV and about 2/3 of the glass is missing.
SERVICE BRAKES Feb 5, 2026
On December 29, 2025, while pulling into a parking space, my Honda CRV Hybrid unexpectedly accelerated in spite of my foot being firmly on the brake. The unintended acceleration resulted in a collision with the vehicle that was parked in front of my vehicle. The security video footage shows clearly that my brake lights were consistently on during the collision. My braking system clearly did not work. My vehicle collided with the vehicle parked in front of it, moved that vehicle to the side and continued moving forward over a parking lot curb and came to a stop. If someone had been in front of my vehicle, they would have been seriously injured if not dead. There were no warning lights, messages or other symptoms prior to the unintended acceleration. My vehicle has been inspected by the dealer and the manufacturer and they could not reproduce the problem. This is the most concerning aspect of the situation. They want me to take the vehicle back and to continue driving it when there is clearly a problem.

I was driving on the highway when my sunroof suddenly shattered out of nowhere. There were no vehicles directly in front of or beside me, and the weather was clear. The sound was extremely loud, sounded like a gunshot and it happened completely out of nowhere. There was no visible impact from rocks or debris. Instead of a small crack, a large hole was left in the sunroof. This appears to have been a spontaneous glass failure and is very concerning from a safety standpoint.

The contact was not injured. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and remained pending an inspection. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,988.

At 17,000 miles and 17 months of ownership the car started clattering badly on startup. The check engine light came on as well as an advisory that there might be an emissions problem, and to take the car to the dealer. We had it towed in (inconvenient as we were out of town). The problem was diagnosed as faulty fuel injectors which are being replaced under warranty. We were told this is not an uncommon problem for the 2025 hybrid CR-V.

While driving at 65-75mph down a highway the sunroof glass shattered outward spraying the hood of my vehicle with glass shards. I was fortunate my interior sunroof cover was closed but had it not been glass would have been all over me. Honda inspected and denied the warranty claim. I now have a claim open with a repair shop. They have preliminarily inspected it and it is just glass, nothing wrong with the track. Could have been weak glass.

January 18, 2025 Subject:  Request for Review – Windshield Crack on 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid Dear Honda Customer Relations Team, I am writing to respectfully request a review of a windshield issue on my wife’s Subject 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which we purchased new in the summer of 2025. The vehicle currently has approximately 16,000 miles. Recently, a crack developed in the windshield measuring roughly four inches in length. The crack originates at the driver-side edge near the frame and began with a very small divot. There is no visible impact crater or evidence of damage from a foreign object. Based on its location and appearance, I believe this may be consistent with an stress-related edge crack rather than road debris. Our local dealership has declined coverage, which I understand may be standard procedure at the dealership level. However, given the vehicle’s age, mileage, and the nature of the crack, I am respectfully requesting that Honda Corporate review this matter for possible warranty consideration or goodwill assistance. My wife and I have been Honda owners for over 20 years. We have consistently chosen Honda vehicles for their quality and reliability, and we have also purchased Honda vehicles for our children, who continue to drive them today. Our loyalty to the Honda brand has always been rooted in trust—trust in engineering, and trust in standing behind the product. I am not seeking special treatment, only a fair review of the circumstances. We value Honda and hope to continue that relationship for many years to come. I have attached four photographs of the windshield, including both full-view and close-up images of the crack for your review.  Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate your review and look forward to your response.  Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX]

Car safely parked in driveway was turned on to defrost snow from it (no ice). When completed, drivers side mirror was cracked from corner to corner. No possible impact to the vehicle and had not been moved, so had to be the result of defrosting. Called dealer to schedule appointment for replacement and was told this would not be covered. Owned car for 10 months.
SERVICE BRAKES Jan 18, 2026
Approximate Mileage on Car: 26500 Make/Model/Trim: Honda CRV Hybrid Sport-L Location: Manheim and Lancaster Counties, Pennsylvania Date of Incident: 1/17/26 Weather: Light snow, under 3", mostly plowed/salted surfaces While driving in light snowy road conditions, the vehicle failed to decelerate appropriately when the brake pedal was firmly applied. The driver was operating the vehicle cautiously and at reduced speeds under 20mph, appropriate for winter conditions. Snow accumulation was less than approximately 3 inches, and the roads were mostly plowed and treated with salt. Despite firm brake application, there was no noticeable ABS pulsing or vibration, and the vehicle continued to slide forward with minimal reduction in speed, right through a stop sign and then again at a 4-way traffic light intersection. Both times, the braking response felt delayed or ineffective, resulting in a significantly extended stopping distance. Steering control while braking was limited, leading to fishtailing and spinning across the road. This did not feel like normal loss of traction or typical ABS engagement. The behavior was unexpected given the relatively moderate road conditions and the cautious driving behavior. No warning lights were immediately displayed during the incident. The experience felt like a loss of effective braking capability in winter conditions, creating a serious safety concern. This condition increases the risk of collision due to the inability to stop the vehicle as expected, even when driven cautiously in moderately snowy, plowed, and salted road conditions. A driver has no reliable way to compensate when braking response is inconsistent or delayed. The vehicle is marketed as AWD and suitable for adverse weather conditions. The braking behavior was inconsistent with expectations and with prior vehicles driven by the driver under similar winter conditions for over 40 years.
STEERING Jan 13, 2026
I am experiencing a “sticky, notchy” steering issue on my 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid. When the steering wheel is approximately 1–2 degrees off center (either left or right), the steering resists movement and then suddenly jerks when correcting. This makes it difficult to make smooth corrections and maintain a steady lane position. The issue only occurs after driving for about 30–40 minutes, which suggests it may be related to component warm-up or prolonged operation. The problem does not occur during short drives. This issue began about two month ago and now happens consistently once the vehicle has been driven long enough. I brought the vehicle to the dealer, but they were unable to reproduce the issue because their test drive lasted only about four minutes. No diagnostic findings or repairs were performed.

Safety Issue: Absence of Low Windshield Washer Fluid Indicator I am reporting a significant vehicle safety concern involving my 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L, which is not equipped with a low windshield washer fluid level indicator. This omission created a serious safety risk to myself and other motorists during real-world driving conditions. While driving on a Michigan highway during a severe winter storm, I unknowingly ran out of windshield washer fluid. Due to snow, ice, road salt, and grime typical of winter driving in Michigan, my windshield quickly became dirty and my forward visibility was severely reduced. Because there was no warning or indicator to alert me that the washer fluid level was low, I had no advance notice of the issue. As a direct result, I was forced to pull over onto the highway shoulder at night, in dark conditions and heavy traffic, in order to refill the washer fluid reservoir. Stopping on an active highway shoulder under these conditions posed a substantial safety hazard, increasing the risk of collision to myself and to passing vehicles. This situation was entirely preventable if the vehicle had provided a basic low washer fluid warning. I later confirmed with a Honda dealership that the low windshield washer fluid indicator is not included as a feature on my 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L. This confirms that the issue is not a malfunction but a deliberate omission in vehicle design or feature availability. I am further concerned because I also own a 2023 Acura RDX A-Spec Advance (VIN: [XXX] ), which similarly does not include a low windshield washer fluid indicator, despite being a premium vehicle and Acura being Honda’s luxury brand. This suggests a broader design or cost-cutting decision across Honda/Acura vehicles rather than an isolated model-level oversight. Vehicles sold in northern U.S. states such as Michigan, where winter conditions routinely involve snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and heavy road salt use, depend hea INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA

While driving in Arizona on I 10 at normal speeds, the sunroof glass exploded. No overpasses. No ice. No big trucks close by. The interior cover was closed at the time. Mileage at the time was 6600 approximately. Car was purchased new last summer in Utah. Could not figure out what happened at first until we stopped the car at an exit. Glass was bulged up with the middle missing.

The drivers side wiper does not sweep the whole windshield. It stops short of the upright pillar (at the top of the sweep) by several inches. This extends the natural blind spot (created by the pillar) an extra few inches. When the wipers are put in service mode, it comes to where it should be, but only does this in service mode, not when actually using. The dealer inspected it and suggested the wiper arm could be repositioned. After attempting this, with even with the smallest possible adjustment, it sent the wiper smacking in to the pillar and had to be put back in it's original position. There are no system warnings about a problem with the wipers.

The vehicle experienced an unintended acceleration in which it unexpectedly increased speed without any input from the driver. At no point was the gas pedal depressed, yet the vehicle accelerated on its own. This sudden and uncommanded movement occurred without warning and was inconsistent with normal vehicle operation, leaving the driver with no intentional control over the acceleration. Following this incident, the manufacturer was contacted; however, despite ongoing attempts to communicate over the past six months, there has been no meaningful correspondence or demonstrated urgency from the manufacturer to investigate or resolve the issue.

While driving my 2025 Hybrid CRV with 4K miles in a light rain, the wiper stopped going all the way to the edge and now only goes 90% of the way up no matter the setting. In a heavy rain, it will go 96%, and in accessory mode it goes up 100% of the way. I took it to the dealership and they said that this range of motion was standard, then showed me a video they took of a new CRV they had on the lot whose range of motion was slightly better (~95%). I pointed out the clearly visible grime line from when it was working correctly and how in accessory mode it goes up to the line. I also have the anecdote that in the summer I used it to clear pollen and it always went up all the way. They continued their stance that the operation was fine. Since it goes all the way up in accessory mode, I told them it must be a computer issue and asked them if they could reset/troubleshoot it. Since they had put off looking at this issue for the two days they had it at the dealership, they said they would need to address it at another time or keep it a third day. I just took it back and scheduled another appointment, as I need it for work. I am taking it in again, but from my post on the CRV sub-reddit many other new honda owners are experiencing the same issue. At approximately 6:00 PM on December 29, 2025, I was parking my vehicle in the Montague Foods parking lot at 8761 Ferry St in Montague, MI 49437. As I was pulling into the parking space, I had firm pressure on the brake pedal and was not pressing the accelerator. Despite braking, the vehicle suddenly lurched forward unexpectedly. The vehicle struck the parked car in front of me with such force that it moved the large SUV, bounced off, and continued to lurch forward repeatedly. While I was actively trying to stop the vehicle with the brake pedal, it continued moving forward, ran over a curb, and behaved in an uncontrolled, bucking manner. I would describe the experience as similar to a bucking bronco. During the incident, I was yelling, “What is happening?!?” due to the unexpected and frightening behavior of the vehicle. At no point during this incident was the accelerator pedal pressed. No warning lights, alerts, or messages appeared on the dashboard before or during the event that I can recall. Both my vehicle and the parked vehicle sustained damage. Fortunately, there were no injuries. This incident raises serious concerns about the braking, acceleration, or vehicle control systems in this model. I believe this represents a significant and serious safety risk not only to the driver of the vehicle but also pedestrians and other vehicles. I am afraid to drive the car again. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue to determine whether it represents a vehicle defect affecting safety, and require Honda to issue any necessary recall or remedy needed
