AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:PASSENGER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2007-2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 and 3500 and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 vehicles equipped with non-desiccated, passenger frontal air bag inflators containing phase stabilized ammonium nitrate (PSAN) propellant that were used as interim remedy parts for previous Takata recalls. These inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to high absolute humidity, high temperatures, and high temperature cycling.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflators, free of charge. The recall began February 11, 2020. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-866-522-9559. GM's number for this recall is N192290990.

The affected vehicles are equipped with a passenger side frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture upon its deployment.
Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front passenger air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on July 27, 2015. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's numbers for this recall are 15438 and 15817.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 18, 2007, to June 22, 2011, and GMC Sierra HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 22, 2007, to June 21, 2011, and equipped with an auxiliary battery. Owners may unknowingly draw too much current through the vehicle's trailer harness resulting in the melting of fusible link for the auxiliary battery.
Remedy: GM will notify owners and dealers will replace the jumper harness with one that includes a 40 amp inline fuse, and provide the owner with supplemental Owner Manual information, free of charge. The recall began on August 29, 2014. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is 14260.

Front air bag sensor part is not available. Part number 85597996 has been discontinued without a replacement. As such, I have no airbag system on my truck.
Odometer Fraud. The contact considered purchasing a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500 from a local dealer. The contact stated that vehicle mileage was listed as 159,000, but the Carfax report listed the mileage as 400,000.
my 2007.5 GMC Duramax has been parked for 1 month, had to barrow a truck to go to work, just not willing to pay the 1600-4500 dollars that suppliers or private sellers are asking for the TCM, tried a private seller on EBAY and it turned out to be a scam, local Dealership has no clue on ETA, I use my truck 6 days out of the week and now sitting not being moved may cause other issue when I do finally get it going again, the problem with my durumax is the TCM Transmission Control Module, I was already at home when issue started.
I left my vehicle for service (19 April 2023 - approximately 8:30 am CT) for an urgent safety recall to Bommarito West County GMC dealership located at 15736 Manchester, Ellisville, MO 63011 (Phone: 636-391-7200). When I drove the vehicle in the dealership and had not issues driving and steering. And when I picked it up at approximately 12:30 pm the same day the service consultant (Joshua Delanoix) did not bring the vehicle to me the same as I left it. Joshua asked that I pick it up in the parking lot, instead. I drove off the lot and noticed that the steering wheel would pull severely off to the right side when breaking causing the car to become unstable and steering towards oncoming traffic. I slowed down until I could retain better control of the vehicle to get home. Then, at approximately 4:30 pm, I drove back to the dealership and spoke to the same service consultant. He then referred me to the service manager (Pat Roberts). I explained to service manager that I could not drive the vehicle safely and requested a safety check. Pat refused to check the service work or the vehicle safety and disregarded my concerns. Afterwards, I spoke to the sales manager (Larry Buchhorn) and explained again my safety concern and he followed up with the same service manager and told me that there was nothing they could do and that the service manager's supervisor (Mike Simms) would contact me. Finally, I was allowed to drive out of the dealership with the same safety issue for the second time.

The steering wheel air bag deployed when parked and rear windows were going up and down by themselves. There was no impact.
THE VEHICLE IS USED AS A PLOW TRUCK ON PRIVATE PROPERTY(FARM). IT IS NOT REGISTERED OR INSURED. GMC REFUSES TO TOW IT TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP FOR ITS AIRBAG RECALL. THEY ARE TELLING ME I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE TOW THERE AND BACK(18 MILES). THEY HAVE SENT OUT EMAILS STATING THEY WILL GIVE ME A $50 GIFT CARD, ALSO THEY WILL GIVE ME A LOANER CAR. THE DASH OF MY 2007 GMC 2500HD PICKUP TRUCK HAS CRACKED IN SEVERAL PLACES INCLUDING AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG, UP AND OVER THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER HUMP, AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH. THESE CRACKS HAVE EXPANDED OVER THE PAST YEAR AND HAVE BECOME QUITE LARGE. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CRACKS AT THE AIRBAG COVER MAY IMPEDE THE PROPER FUNCTION OF THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AS WELL. TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE IN JULY OF 2015 REGARDING THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR. RECALL #15438. I HAVE HAD MY VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND AM STILL BEING TOLD THAT THERE IS "NO REMEDY" FOR THIS RECALL. I AM CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY AND WELL BEING OF THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS SHOULD THIS VEHICLE BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. IT HAS BEEN OVER 17 MONTHS AND THIS SAFETY CONCERN IS EFFECTING MY USE OF THIS VEHICLE. IT IS CURRENTLY MY ONLY VEHICLE AND IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT I BE ABLE TO UTILIZE IT ON A DAILY BASIS WITHOUT FEAR OF SERIOUS CONSEQUENCES SHOULD THERE BE AN ACCIDENT. YESTERDAY THE DEALER ADVISED ME TO TURN OFF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IF THERE IS A SWITCH ALLOWING ME TO DO THAT. I BELIEVE THAT ACTION ALSO PUTS THE VEHICLE OCCUPANTS AT RISK AND IS NOT A SATISFACTORY REMEDY.

SOME FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATORS MAY EXPERIENCE AN ALTERATION OVER TIME, WHICH COULD LEAD TO OVERAGGRESSIVE COMBUSTION IN THE EVENT OF AN AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THIS CONDITION COULD CREATE EXCESSIVE INTERNAL PRESSURE WHEN THE AIR BAG IS DEPLOYED, WHICH COULD RESULT IN THE BODY OF THE INFLATOR RUPTURING UPON DEPLOYMENT. I HAVE REQUESTED WHEN TO EXPECT RESOLUTION OF TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS. NO ONE CAN GIVE ME ANY TIMELINE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE SINCE NEW (10 YEARS). IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE SOME IDEA OF WHEN I CAN EXPECT TO DRIVE A SAFE VEHICLE THAT WON'T BLOW UP IN MY FACE.
