We brought the car to the dealer yesterday (where we bought it in Jan 2021), to have the air conditioning fixed. They told us they found rust on the frame and that it would not pass inspection again. It had been inspected there in February, 2026. At that time, we told them about a vibration and they

I was stopped at a traffic light, and my vehicle would not re-start when the traffic light turned green. It stalled because the Auto Idle Stop/Start (AIS) function did not work as intended. The dashboard cluster lights were all on (or many of them, at least). I had to collect myself, put the car

It has happened several times before, and I am familiar with what the Honda service reps say when I have taken the vehicle in for repair, so I'll cut through the nonsense they have told me. I recently replaced my battery with a quality name brand battery, so it's not an issue with the battery. I have had the PGM-FI Idle Stop Software Update recall service performed twice, one in response to a March 2023 recall notice, and again from a May 2024 recall notice. There is something seriously and obviously wrong with this AIS feature. I have looked on many forums and this is a frequently recurring problem. This shouldn't happen simply because I (or my family member) forget to hit the AIS-disengage button. There should be a permanent fix for this feature if it frequently fails.Read more

The instrument cluster (combination meter) failed completely and without warning, going entirely blank. This eliminated all speedometer, warning light, and indicator functionality. The failure began occurring intermittently before becoming persistent. No warning lamps or messages preceded the failur
... e — the cluster simply went dark. The loss of speedometer functionality made the vehicle unsafe to operate, as the driver had no means of monitoring vehicle speed. The loss of all warning indicators eliminated visibility into any safety-critical vehicle alerts that may have been active during the failure periods. The problem was confirmed by the dealership and is the subject of Safety Recall 25TA08 (Combination Meter May Go Blank). The vehicle was brought to a Toyota dealership where the recall was documented and the repair was eventually completed. The replacement part required VIN-specific production and programming by Toyota, resulting in an extended out-of-service period of nearly two months at the dealership, and approximately five months from the first occurrence of the failure. During the out-of-service period, the vehicle could not pass state inspection and was legally inoperable. The component has been replaced and is no longer available for inspection.Read more

I own/lease a Nissan Pathfinder that currently has approximately 27,000 miles. At approximately 19,000 miles, the dealership resurfaced the brake rotors. The service department stated only that “sometimes it happens” and did not provide a diagnosis or explanation for the premature wear. Now, a
... t approximately 27,000 miles, the dealership has informed me that the rear brake rotors and pads must be replaced due to excessive wear. This appears to be premature brake component failure on a relatively new vehicle. The vehicle is driven primarily on highways and is not used for towing or heavy loads. The early rotor resurfacing followed by rotor and pad replacement shortly afterward raises concerns about potential premature brake system wear or a possible defect in the braking system. Because brakes are a critical safety component, I am submitting this report so the issue can be reviewed to determine whether similar premature brake wear is occurring on other vehicles of this model.Read more

My truck experienced a P0302 misfire on the freeway, which caused it to shake immediately and made it very difficult to drive. I had it towed to the dealership, and they told me there was water in the spark‑plug wells, which was surprising since I live in Las Vegas, NV, where it rarely rains. My s
... park plugs were rusted as well as the cylinder head. After looking into it online, I discovered that Ford issued TSB‑23‑2011 for the Ford Ranger due to a windshield cowl leak that allows water to drip directly onto the engine. Their proposed fix is to install an engine cover, but that clearly doesn’t solve the issue since my truck already has the engine cover installed. 2021 Subaru Ascent (VIN#***). Water found dripping down both second row seatbelts on multiple occasions during or following heavy rain, accumulated into mold growth on the carpet in front of second row seats to the front of the 3rd row seats (cargo area dry, front footwells dry). Authorized Subaru d
... ealer technician report (dated 10/29/25 and 12/3/25 copy pasted into email) explicitly documents 'condensation build up on the interior of roof (seat belt area)' due to unlocated water intrusion. The dealer attributes this to 'leaf debris' in the front cowl area and rear hatch hinge despite the leak occurring at the rear C-pillar (and notably cargo area and front footwells showed no moisture making this physically impossible). Despite confirmed moisture exposure to critical passive restraint systems, the dealer relays that the manufacturer has issued a verbal-only warranty denial (stating no addl records exist aside from the initial technician report) and suggest the only repair be carpet replacement, with refusal of confirmation of the source of the leak and no proposal of replacing the 2nd-row seatbelt retractors nor provide a written safety guarantee. The vehicle is covered by an active 8yr/120,000-mile Subaru Gold Plus Added Security Plan (Agreement #*******, started on 8/2/21), yet the manufacturer is refusing to honor the contract for the defect or the resulting biohazard ('mold spouts' documented by their technicians on carpeting and into the foam). This unaddressed moisture creates an unreasonable risk of internal corrosion and failure of the seatbelt G-sensor/locking mechanisms on both sides. Also as an immunocompromised owner (due to medication for multiple sclerosis to such an extent that requires monthly IVIG infusions), the documented mold is a significant health hazard. Vehicle has only 15,166 miles. Correspondence with dealer and SoA as well as agreement# are available on request. Date of incident was when taken to dealership (events in summer/fall 2025)Read more

On January 16, 2026, the 2021 Atlas had a severe gas leak and a large pool of gas was observed underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the VW dealership in Bradenton, FL. ... sembly, the technician stated the #3 fuel injector had a severe leak and there was so much gas, he couldn't be certain if fuel injectors #1 and #5 may also have issues but recommended replacing all 3 fuel injectors and the fuel rail. The repair cost was $3300, which was not covered by my warranty as it expired 6 months prior. History of issue - shortly after purchasing the vehicle in June 2021, a gasoline smell was noticed when parked in the garage. On October 19, 2021, the vehicle was taken to VW in Bradenton for the gas smell, they could not replicate the issue and replaced the charcoal canister. After the replacement, a gas smell was still noticeable and taken back to VW. VW again said they could not replicate the issue and stated nothing was wrong with the vehicle. It was noticed there was a previous NHTSA investigation on this issue. This is a serious issue and the car could have caught on fire. A large amount of gasoline was leaking from this vehicle.Read more

Component/System: Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) / Airbag system — Recall 74E3 / NHTSA 21V874. What Happened: The passenger airbag may switch off even when the seat is occupied due to a faulty PODS wiring connection. The warning message “Passenger Airbag Off” appears with a chime.
... This is an active safety recall that was issued before I purchased the vehicle, but the recall was not disclosed at the time of sale. Safety Risk: If the system shuts off the airbag incorrectly, the passenger may have no airbag protection in a crash, creating a serious risk of injury or death. Inspection Availability: Vehicle is available for inspection. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, where there is no Audi-authorized repair facility. Reproduction/Confirmation: Symptoms match the known recall defect. Audi has confirmed the recall applies to my VIN, but no local dealer exists to inspect or repair it. Manufacturer/Dealer Inspection: Audi has refused to cover shipping to the nearest authorized dealership on Oahu, which is the only location where the recall can be performed. Therefore, the defect has not been inspected due to lack of accessible remedy. Warnings/Symptoms: Airbag warning light illuminates and a message appears indicating the passenger airbag is off, along with a chime. Additional Notes: I cannot safely use or sell the car because the required safety repair is inaccessible. Audi’s refusal to provide transportation makes it impossible to complete the mandated recall.Read more

Despite being up-to-date on recalls for this vehicle intended to address failures with the integrated charging control unit (ICCU), I still experienced an ICCU failure. I was driving along a surface road at approximately 40 mph for about 9 minutes when I heard a pop that sounded like cargo shifting
... in the rear cargo area. The vehicle then flashed a "Check EV System" warning but otherwise continued to operate normally. About 2 minutes later, there was a warning to stop vehicle and check power supply. After I pulled into a parking lot, I restarted the vehicle, but the errors persisted. I had the vehicle towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed as an ICCU failure. The vehicle was last charged ~15 hours before the failure on a level 2 charger at a peak rate of 6 kw. The vehicle was driven for about an hour after charging, sat overnight, before being driven when the failure occurred. The vehicle is primarily charged using level 1 and 2 charging, typically not exceeding 6.3 kw. Only a handful of times has level 2 charging rates exceeded 6.3 kw. The vehicle previously had the ICCU fail and replaced in 2023. The car is still at the dealership with no repair timeline.Read more

Truck was "repaired" under Recall V06. Drag link/track bar was welded in place, which was supposed to be a temporary fix until parts became available to replace the bad drag link. In Mar of this year, I had the ball joints replaced. Upon repair, my steering wheel was cocked to the left in order t
... o drive straight. Brought the truck back to have that repaired. Service center told me that because the part had been welded, they would have to break the weld, center the steering wheel, and reweld the part. That took place but did not fix the problem. My truck still turns right when the steering wheel is level. I have since been caught between Ram Customer Care and the dealership with each telling me the other needs to "do something" and both referring me to the other for assistance. I have attached photos of the work done and a copy of the recall. The weld job done on my truck is horrible, if not unsafe. But, I have to drive my truck. I think Ram is taking advantage of the good faith the Administration has shown them by allowing them to decide whether to make the replacement of the part. It should be mandatory. Probably thousands of Ram trucks in a similar situation on America's roads. The welded adjustment sleeve makes a proper alignment of the steering wheel impossible. The alignment is designed to be adjusted. Finally, I noted that the dealership violated the "do not sell" of the recall. I bought the truck in March 2019, without the recall call work done - unbeknownst to me. They did not take the recall seriously.Read more

As this car was being driven by my mother, she was going approximately 40 mph around a turn on a road she drives every day and for now reason the car starting saying she had been in a crash, the steering stopped working and the brakes locked and she was no longer in the car. She was able to manueve
... r it into a ditch, which fortunately wasn't very deep to avoid any other cars. We took this to the dealership who indicated they had never seen this type of issue there however when I researched, there had been several reports of this type of incident, 4 in VA alone. The car was at the dealership for over two weeks to be repaired as the dealership had to work with technicians at Acura to determine cause/replacement; however they indicated they can not guarantee it won't happen again. My mother lost my father two years ago and this was the first car she purchased on her own and now she is terrified. We asked Acura to help assist changing her out of this car and they simply refused through the manager of the dealership indicating they did nothing wrong and they have replaced the $8k part. Since she bought the vehicle in April 2025 and this happened just 6 weeks later, that does not give us comfort. The dealership was helpful and we were able to get her into a different kind of vehicle although she had to pay $8k more and she is on a fixed income. She has had multiple Acuras however this is a safety issue and likely a potential recall simply from numbers I have seen from research and the potential harm this could cause occupents of the car and anyone else that may be near them on the road. We are very disappointed in Acura. We may have to go back to dealership to get repair info as we didn't accept this car back, they gave my mother a loaner and then we bought a new one. Crown Acura of Richmond is where it was repaired.Read more

No warnings came up. The incident is fresh for us, but many Jeep Gladiator owners experience windshields breaking incredibly easily with extreme breaks for minimal impacts.Read more

Transmission fails to automatically shift into 9th gear. A GM bulletin #21-NA-181 indicates this is normal for efficiency operation, but the information indicated is false. Experiencing 9th gear is allowed to be shifted when manually over ridden or when shift to manual mode (without shifting to 9th
... gear), then shift back to auto mode, then transmission shifts to 9th gear automatically after this is performed then shift to 9th gear automatically during that cycle until vehicle is turned off. So condition GM claims in their "operating condition" is false.Read more

My 2019 GMC Acadia with 33,000 miles on it started to give me a notification to "Shift to Park" even though I had already shifted the vehicle into park. A "ding! ding! ding!" alarm wouldn't go off and the vehicle wouldn't turn off unless I repeatedly changed the gears until it read it was in park.
... This went on for a few weeks and got progressively worse. I read on a GMC forum that the vehicle could slip out of gear while driving and potentially cause an accident. My mechanic found the shifter assembly to be defective and replaced the entire Gearshift Lever Assembly. He said there was a plastic piece in the gearshift that snapped off and said this was an issue in the older models but thought GMC had fixed this issue by 2019. Unfortunately, I was past my 3 year / 36K mile warranty and had to fork over $1300 to have it repaired.Read more

NEW 2024 Versa S 5 speed purchased in Aug 2024 from Jim Click Nissan Dealership in Tucson, AZ. I brought it in to Nissan dealership 2 months later 4200 mi, for complaints of surging, fluctuating fan speeds with air conditioning on high & to check alternator. They couldn’t reproduce problem. It c
... ontinues to persist to this day as I write this on 4/20/25. Alternator values show 13.46 V with load off, 12.29 V with load on. Nissan Dealership denies alternator or ac fan problems and no action taken despite 3 service visits/complaints. On [XXX] I attempted to accelerate out of the dealership parking lot. With no warning signs or check engine light, car had power loss and unable to accelerate: RPMs would rev to 3500 in gears 1-3 but car would only reach 35 mph max with full throttle. In 4th gear, max throttle, engine RPM’s would not exceed 2250 RPM’s. I continued through 4 miles of local street traffic to reach home, including an anxious moment making a left turn at traffic light narrowly missing oncoming traffic due to loss of acceleration. When I arrived home, I shut off engine and after 10 seconds restarted it and the problem was gone and able to drive normally. This was the first episode ever and experienced at 21,720 miles, and recurred again the following day after stalling on an incline at a right corner traffic light. I Immediately restarted the ignition and applied throttle to ascend the incline and to avoid rolling backward to hit the car behind me, only to lose power & stall again. No check engine or warning lights displayed. After another attempted engine restart, I was able to advance & car drove normally. This limp mode power loss can be reproduced after engine stall from rapid clutch pedal release, followed by engine restart. Autozone alternator test on 4/19/25 revealed “charging system failure.” On 4/22/25, Nissan Dealership unable to reproduce limp mode despite my explicit instructions to quickly release clutch to stall, then restart. I was involved in a fatal head-on collision with a pedestrian while driving my Kia EV6. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist : The FCA system appears to have completely failed. It did not detect the p
... edestrian, did not provide any audible or visual warnings, and did not initiate automatic emergency braking prior to the collision. Airbag System: The system failed to deploy despite a severe head-on collision. Regarding availability for inspection: The car was impounded by the SDPD and was inspected by both the police and State Farm before being sold to SF after being rendered a total loss. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My Safety: The failure of the airbags to deploy put me at significant risk of serious injury or death in the severe head-on collision. The Safety of Others: While the primary consequence of the FCA failure was the tragic impact with the pedestrian, the malfunction of a safety system designed to prevent or mitigate collisions inherently puts all potential road users at risk. Had the FCA functioned correctly, the collision might have been avoided entirely or the impact speed significantly reduced, potentially altering the outcome for the pedestrian. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No not to my knowledge. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? As mentioned above, the car was impounded by the SDPD and was fully inspected by both the police and State Farm. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? None.Read more
