While driving on a smooth paved road at normal speed, the active head restraint on the passenger seat suddenly deployed without any impact or collision. The headrest struck the passenger in the back of the head, causing pain and a potential injury. The vehicle did not experience a crash, bump, or su
... dden stop. After deployment, the headrest could not be reset or latched back into place. This appears to be a mechanical failure of the active head restraint system. This defect poses a serious safety risk because it could injure the driver causing an accident and may deploy again unexpectedly.Read more

ALL of the warning lights go off one day, then the very next day it does not happen. This cycle has been happening for almost two straight years of “normal” driving. The vehicle is working totally fine and has never broken down because of this. Two different Honda dealerships told me that it
... is unsafe to drive and that the fuel injectors need to be replaced, which is a $2,000.00 fix - which is ridiculous! There has to be something else going on to cause ALL of the warning lights to go off, yet the vehicle drives totally fine. It seems to me that this should fall under a “recall.”Read more

Purchased vehicle from Wildcat Used Cars in Somerset, KY on [XXX]. Took home and notified dealership of not having seatbelts in middle row. After having an inspection completed, found the SRS system was disabled, airbags removed, knee airbag just stuffed back in. All cables and components unplugged,
... fuses missing to cause the system to not load up and show the defect. had resistance from dealership in undoing the sale, until i made note of their mechanics checking off and noting in the carfax that it was "all good" and had be completely inspected. Dealership admitted that they don't check fuse boxes and cables if the lights on the dash aren't illuminated. This is a huge failure of safety. All is on a recorded line from their phonelines from the date range of 4/27/26-5/2/26. All is notated in documentation and photographic evidence. Finally settled and they bought the vehicle back on [XXX] and assured me it would be sent back with the correct salvage title, and it is currently out for resale on their lot as of today 5/24/26. They are fully aware of all the issues. The SRS,ABS, HVAC 40 Relays, and the Traction control system have all been disengaged/compromised to bypass the system of any issues ongoing. September 2025, we were on a vacation when we noticed that the column gear shifter on our 2021 Ford F150 seemed a bit "loose" when shifting. No issues getting into the appropriate gear…but a weird loose feeling. My husband pulled off the leather boot on the column (not sure if this is what it is
... called, I believe it keeps dust out) and found the problem. Two missing bolts! Earlier that year, I had found a bolt in the floor of the truck, and, unable to find where it came from (or did it even belong to the truck? I did not know) I put it in a ziploc bag, into the glove box. Turns out that bolt fit. So we had one bolt, and the shifting felt okay. But we still needed one bolt, so I did some internet sleuthing. I found the part (W790628S900) and ordered it, and we installed it when we got home. We theorize that the “ziploc bolt” came loose early in 2025, and the second bolt (never found) came loose on our trip. We know that up until this problem, we had never, ever, removed that dust cover, so we were not responsible for the two bolts coming loose. Components: that "failed" would be the two bolts on the column gear shifter (under the dust cover) Safety: we were very worried that without the two bolts, we would not be able to shift at some point! Confirmed: no, because we were camping on vacation, and did the troubleshooting ourselves Inspected: we will ask our mechanic when we next take the truck in Warning: no, just that we noticed that the column gear shifter was "loose" (again, likely that this was after the 2nd bolt came out).Read more

I purchased the car as a graduation present for my son in 2018. He was using it to get back and forth to work and school. Currently the car has less than 60,000 miles on it. I have the coolant intrusion leak. My vehicle's engine light is on for misfires, and it overheats.
Incident date: Sep 23, 2021
I was on my way home from work when my oil light came on and I began losing acceleration on a busy highway. It wouldn't let me go above 20 mph which was definitely unsafe due to the nature of traffic on the highway. I managed to pull over and get my car towed to the most recent place I had an oil ch
... ange. After a few days, they stated that the vehicle had sustained a loss of engine oil pressure and that there was a recall for this issue. They also stated to contact Ford and that the vehicle was undriveable. When I checked the open recalls, I confirmed that there was indeed a recall open for this issue concerning the oil pump, however, Ford Motors state that they will not have the parts available until 1st Quarter 2025. This is puts the timeframe on a remedy at roughly 3-7 months, which is unacceptable as this is my only vehicle and the only way I am able to get to work.Read more

I recently took my car in for a recall for the trunk wiring harness and have never had any major issues since I purchased it in 2018. Since replacing the recalled harness, I’m starting to receive several alerts from my driver assistance system (emergency brakes, camera failure). I called a service
... tech who mentioned there’s either a failed camera or a failed wiring harness. Looking online, I was shocked to see hundreds of other owners with a 2018 model 3 also experiencing the same issue in 2024 (assuming after they replaced the recently recalled harness). I strongly believe that these two issues are related and that the camera should be replaced alongside the wiring harness. Several people on this forum have been quoted hundreds or thousands from tesla to replace the harness (including myself) and are taking matters into their own hands by replacing with after market parts. This is a serious safety issue since the cameras control all self driving functionality. I’m shocked that it’s not already been addressed through a recall! The first time my system had gone out while on Autopilot, the car flashed and sirened and asked that I take over. Since then all my driver assistance features including my rear camera are no longer functional. Please see this forum where several others are experiencing the same issue on their 2018 Model 3s [XXX] Attached are error messages from my car and screenshots from the forum above where people have described the DIY fix and the costs quoted by Tesla.
