Incident date: Aug 26, 2026
On the morning of August 26, 2026, my 2017 Dodge Journey 2.4L was brought to DeLand Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram for federal safety Emissions Recall Z98, which required updating the software calibration on the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The vehicle was scanned by the dealer at check-in (116,561 mil
... es) and had zero transmission faults. The technician updated the PCM, and the dealer put 2 miles on the vehicle during service. Within 4 minutes of leaving the property, while accelerating to 50 MPH on a public roadway, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic loss of power and total transmission failure. The vehicle dropped completely out of gear, would roll backward while shifted into Drive, and completely refused to engage Reverse. If the vehicle was key-cycled off and on, it would move only one foot before the computer panicked, dropping it back into an immediate neutral state and free-revving the engine. The failed recall modification rendered the vehicle an immediate highway safety hazard. The dealership is actively refusing to honor the recall warranty or inspect the failed safety component. Stellantis corporate case number is 97915298.Read more

I’ve been dealing with some intermittent problems with my 2022 transit for a couple years now. Basically I’ll be driving on the highway and all the sudden I’ll lose gas control, and power braking and the dash displays a message that says “shift to neutral to restart vehicle”, battery icon
... flashes red and I have to coast to the side of the highway. The electronics in the car will still be working when I pull over but the battery is dead. If I shift to park my engine doesn’t turn over or make any clicks at all. The few times it’s happened it eventually will turn back on after 10 min or so after using a jumper pack. I’ve taken it to dealers and they all say the computer isn’t throwing any codes so they can’t help. I’ve nearly been in 2 accidents now on the highway trying to get to a shoulder/lack of shoulder and the fact that I lose my brakes makes this an undrivable vehicle. My vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty but the ford dealers have not been able to help and keep sending me on my way with a very dangerous vehicle. I need help, I’m concerned about being involved in a a dangerous accident that could hurt myself or others when I lose brakes and gas. This has happened 5times now over the last 25k miles. I have a long video of the last incident that I would love to share if a video upload link is made available.Read more

The contact stated that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and had been placed on a waiting list by another dealer for the recall repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and advised the contact that the engine and oil pump for the year and the model vehicle were on back order. September 2025, we were on a vacation when we noticed that the column gear shifter on our 2021 Ford F150 seemed a bit "loose" when shifting. No issues getting into the appropriate gear…but a weird loose feeling. My husband pulled off the leather boot on the column (not sure if this is what it is
... called, I believe it keeps dust out) and found the problem. Two missing bolts! Earlier that year, I had found a bolt in the floor of the truck, and, unable to find where it came from (or did it even belong to the truck? I did not know) I put it in a ziploc bag, into the glove box. Turns out that bolt fit. So we had one bolt, and the shifting felt okay. But we still needed one bolt, so I did some internet sleuthing. I found the part (W790628S900) and ordered it, and we installed it when we got home. We theorize that the “ziploc bolt” came loose early in 2025, and the second bolt (never found) came loose on our trip. We know that up until this problem, we had never, ever, removed that dust cover, so we were not responsible for the two bolts coming loose. Components: that "failed" would be the two bolts on the column gear shifter (under the dust cover) Safety: we were very worried that without the two bolts, we would not be able to shift at some point! Confirmed: no, because we were camping on vacation, and did the troubleshooting ourselves Inspected: we will ask our mechanic when we next take the truck in Warning: no, just that we noticed that the column gear shifter was "loose" (again, likely that this was after the 2nd bolt came out).Read more

I am the owner of a 2017 INFINITI Q50 purchased in 2019. My vehicle has suffered three separate turbocharger failures in four years: 2021 (~75,000 miles): turbocharger failure; replaced under my extended warranty (~$6,000 authorization). 2023 (~98,000 miles): turbocharger failure; replaced again und
... er extended warranty (~$6,000 authorization). 2025 (143,000 miles): diagnostic confirms another turbocharger failure; quoted $8,900 out of pocket because my extended warranty has expired. These failures follow the classic symptoms of excessive exhaust smoke and MIL illumination that INFINITI has explicitly linked to premature turbocharger bearing wear in the February 2025 “limited emission warranty extension” for 2016–2018 Q50 and 2017–2018 Q60 vehicles. INFINITI’s bulletin states the company “is conducting a warranty extension to Full Useful Life (FUL) of 10 years or 120,000 miles” for select turbo assemblies where white smoke/oil-leak with MIL-on requires turbo replacement, and explains the reason as “possibility that the turbocharger bearing may leak engine oil internally due to premature wear.” INFINITI’s public owner-facing campaign page likewise describes this extension and its terms (10 years/120,000 miles), including reimbursement for qualifying prior repairs. Infiniti Assist While my current mileage exceeds 120,000 miles, my car has required two full turbo replacements before 100,000 miles and now requires a third at 143,000 miles. This pattern evidences a latent defect present well within the extension period and is consistent with the failure mode INFINITI acknowledges. They have offered no help and only assume 50% responsibility when they 100% have manufactured defective and poorly labored parts.Read more

I purchased the car as a graduation present for my son in 2018. He was using it to get back and forth to work and school. Currently the car has less than 60,000 miles on it. So, it was not being excessively driven. In Dec her of 2023, He began having issues with the vehicle stalling and overheating.
... It began to jerk and would randomly lose power. While driving to work the car over heated and we got it to a mechanic on 1/7/24. Once the engine was replaced the mechanic confirmed the transmission would also need to be replaced. My son spent all his savings on the engine so we took the car home to determine options. Incident date: Jun 22, 2024
I recently took my car in for a recall for the trunk wiring harness and have never had any major issues since I purchased it in 2018. Since replacing the recalled harness, I’m starting to receive several alerts from my driver assistance system (emergency brakes, camera failure). I called a service
... tech who mentioned there’s either a failed camera or a failed wiring harness. Looking online, I was shocked to see hundreds of other owners with a 2018 model 3 also experiencing the same issue in 2024 (assuming after they replaced the recently recalled harness). I strongly believe that these two issues are related and that the camera should be replaced alongside the wiring harness. Several people on this forum have been quoted hundreds or thousands from tesla to replace the harness (including myself) and are taking matters into their own hands by replacing with after market parts. This is a serious safety issue since the cameras control all self driving functionality. I’m shocked that it’s not already been addressed through a recall! The first time my system had gone out while on Autopilot, the car flashed and sirened and asked that I take over. Since then all my driver assistance features including my rear camera are no longer functional. Please see this forum where several others are experiencing the same issue on their 2018 Model 3s [XXX] Attached are error messages from my car and screenshots from the forum above where people have described the DIY fix and the costs quoted by Tesla.
