HE WAS SURPRISED BY THE LOOK OF THE SHREDDED TIRE (WHICH I KEPT AS EVIDENCE OF THE DAMAGE) AND HE ALSO NOTICED THAT BOTH PASSENGER SIDE TIRES WERE SPLITTING ON THE SIDEWALLS THE SAME WAY THAT THE BLOWN TIRE DID. THE MANAGER ORDERED THREE NEW TIRES, AND THEY WERE MOUNTED ON 09/28/08. I HAVE "ROAD HAZARD PLUS SERVICE AGREEMENT" WITH SEARS, BUT IT STILL COST ME $317.96 TO REPLACE THE 3 TIRES. SEARS ADJUSTED THE BILL BY $35.11 AND $26.33 (TREAD ADJUSTMENT) FOR THE 2 TIRES THAT HAD SPLITS ON THE SIDEWALLS, BUT I HAD TO PAY THE TOTAL COST OF THE TIRE THAT SHREDDED. I WAS VERY UPSET BY THE WHOLE SITUATION. THE TIRES WERE ONLY 3 YEARS OLD AND HAD ABOUT 33,500 MILES ON THEM (75,000 MILE WARRANTY). THE MANAGER GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING NUMBER: PJKCWKHR1005, BUT I DON'T RECALL WHAT IT WAS FOR. IN THE END, IT COST ME $402.70 ($84.74 + $317.96) TO REPLACE THE TIRES (I KEPT THE WALMART TIRE AS A SPARE). RUST HAS BEEN DEVELOPING ON TOP OF THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT RUST TOWER FOR SEVERAL YEARS. HAVING JUST TAKEN AUTO CLASSES BECAME AWARE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT AFFECTS SAFETY. DEALERS HAVE NOT MENTIONED IT IN THE PAST (WHILE UNDER RUST PROTECTION WARRANTY). ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2005, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE IN THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, IN THE REAR NEAR THE SPEAKER COMPARTMENT. MY VEHICLE HIT THE REAR OF A JEEP CHEROKEE AT APPROX. 10 MPH. I STOPPED AND EXITED THE VEHICLE TO LOOK AT THE DAMAGE AND FOUND PRACTICALLY NOTHING. BEFORE I COULD REACT, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RACE AT HIGH SPEED SENDING ME AND THE VAN BACKWARDS! I WAS TRYING TO REACH FOR THE KEY TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE WHILE TURNING IN A CIRCLE TWICE KNOCKING DOWN A TREE AND COMING TO A STOP WHEN THE REAR OF THE VAN HIT THE BRICK BUILDING. I WAS THEN ABLE TO TURN OFF THE ENGINE. NO EARLIER PROBLEM LIKE THIS HAS EVER HAPPENED BUT THERE HAVE BEEN REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR OUR CRUISE CONTROL WHICH NEVER WORKED DURING THE TIME WE'VE OWNED THE VAN. REPLACED COMPRESSOR, NOT AT THE DEALER, THEN FOUND OUT EVAPORATOR WAS BAD TOO. NO MORE MONEY,STILL DRIVING WITH NO AC. 2. HORN DIDNT WORK. I PAID TO FIX IT. 3. HAVE REPLACED BRAKES TWICE IN 3 YEARS. ABS LIGHT WAS ON FOR 6 MONTHS THEN WENT OFF. 4. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM ..DOOR LOCKS GO UP AND DOWN BY THEMSELVES, WHILE THERE ARE BELLS DINGING, AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF ALL AT THE SAME TIME. LOOK LIKE SOME KIND OF CHRISTMAS TREE ON WHEELS GOING DOWN THE ROAD. UNABLE TO DUPLICATE FOR THE DEALER. NOT FIXED. 5. SIX TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK VAN HAS STALLED. 5 WHEN TURNING AND ONCE WHILE AT A STOPLIGHT. UNABLE TO DUPLICATE FOR THE DEALER. NOT FIXED. 6. WHILE THERE FOR THE STALLING, HAD THEM LOOK AT THE RECALL FOR AIRBAG BECAUSE THE LIGHT STAYS ON LONGER THAN ALL THE OTHERS, THEY SAID IT WAS FINE AND DIDN'T NEED TO BE FIXED.....
