I received a safety recall notice in September 2025 regarding my vehicle's rear flexible brake hose possibly having a leak. At that time the notice stated parts were not available but the Ford Company was working to provide parts for the repair and would notify me by mail to schedule an appointment to complete the repairs. I have called on several occasions, to several Ford dealerships, since September 2025 to follow up on this safety issue and schedule a repair only to be told there are still no parts available. A leaking rear flexible break hose causes a huge safety concern and should be addressed in a more timely manner by the car company. It is now six months with no resolve. This type of fix does not entail creative engineering, it simply involves replacing a common car part. I believe this delay in repair has become negligent and needs to be documented for when there is a poor outcome due to delayed braking.

ENGINE Feb 25, 2026
Car kept misfiring and it sounded like water was running when the car was on. After multiple attempts to find a solution I took it to a Ford dealership to remedy the issue and it ended up needing a full engine replacement due to coolant leaking into the engine. The engine failed, they told me there was no way to prevent it because the seals were not fully sealing. Thankfully it did not cause for me but could have caused sudden loss of power, stalled acceleration on highways, failure of power steering and braking systems. The dealership acknowledged that it was an ongoing issue when they serviced it. Unknown. Not that I ever noticed however someone with more car knowledge MAY have been able to see warning signs.

My vehicle is having an internal coolant leak inside the engine, which is a known issue with this 2.0 eco-boost. Symptoms are: •misfire on cylinder two about once a week •low coolant, and eventually hearing the waterfall sound from air in the coolant system •rough idle during 1st start of the day occasionally •white exhaust first start of the day occasionally

Coolant leak with coolant intrusion into cylinder 2. This problem was reproduced by the dealer and we had to have a new engine installed.

See attached document for complaint. I am writing regarding an issue I am having getting a refund for something I paid for to have repaired that was placed on a recall list by Ford 6 months later. In March 2025 my Ford Edge Sport suddenly lost brakes while I was driving. Thankfully I was not going fast and was able to get pulled over without an accident. I took my car into to the local Ford dealership here in Palestine, TX on 3/20/25 where I had this issue repaired. I received the car back on 3/21/25. I paid 563.16 in total for the repairs. In September 2025, I received a recall letter for this issue. When I called the local dealer I was told I would have to wait for a second letter before they could issue me a refund, and that the company might make me bring it back in again once that second letter was received. I have not received a second letter to date so I reached out again to the local Ford dealership on 11/17/25 and was told they have no idea when this may occur, that it could be months or a year. When this is a recall issue that I have already had to deal with and pay for, why do I have to wait for a refund? Please assist in this issue.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Feb 6, 2026
I started my Edge as I always do and the display panel kept changing from audio, to settings and on and on. It went thru all the choices and it kept going for about 20 mins until I could safely pull over to find the problem. The radio continues to play thru .the clicking of it changing choices. When I pulled over I put the car in park and shut my edge off, waited a few mins and started it again. It continues to cycle thru the choices. I shut the car off again, opened my door , closed my door, then restarted my edge. This stopped it from cycling thru the options again. I am also wondering about the other two recalls for my edge, the rear brake line and the rear camera. It has been over 6 months since I was notified and would like these fixed or give me a new car. Brakes are a very important thing and I do not think you really know what will happen if I’m going 60 mph down the highway and I have to stop quick. Please reply to this and let me know about the cycling thru choices and if you have a fix yet for the other recalls

On January 25, 2026, my 2016 Ford Edge experienced a catastrophic brake system failure corresponding to NHTSA Safety Recall 25V-544. The front brake jounce hose ruptured at the crimp, resulting in the immediate and total loss of brake fluid and zero braking pressure. The vehicle is effectively without brakes and is unsafe to operate. I attempted to schedule service with the authorized dealer (Pat Armstrong Ford in Wenatchee, WA). The dealer refused to intake the vehicle or authorize a safety rental/loaner, citing that "no remedy is currently available" from Ford Motor Company. I am currently stranded with a vehicle that has actively failed due to the safety defect described in the recall. The manufacturer's inability to provide a timely remedy, combined with the dealership's refusal to provide alternate transportation for a "Vehicle Off Road" (VOR) condition, presents an immediate safety risk. I have attached photos verifying the ruptured hose and fluid saturation.

Vehicle Information: Year/Make/Model: 2016 Ford Edge SE Engine: 2.0L EcoBoost Mileage at Failure: ~79,000 miles Description of the Problem: I am reporting a safety-related defect involving engine coolant intrusion into the cylinders on my 2016 Ford Edge equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine. At approximately 79,000 miles, my vehicle experienced engine misfires and internal coolant loss. A Ford dealership diagnosed the issue as coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders caused by internal engine block failure, which required replacement of the engine block / engine assembly. Safety Concern: This failure presents a safety hazard due to: -Sudden loss of engine power -Risk of engine stalling while driving -Increased chance of breakdown in traffic -Potential loss of vehicle control in certain driving conditions An engine should not experience catastrophic internal failure at this mileage under normal operating and maintenance conditions. Known Pattern and Manufacturer Awareness: This issue is well-documented across numerous Ford vehicles equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, including the 2015–2018 Ford Edge and other Ford models. Ford has issued multiple Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) addressing coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders due to engine block design issues, demonstrating manufacturer awareness of the defect. Despite this, no recall has been issued, and affected owners are often denied assistance once the vehicle is outside the warranty period. Request to NHTSA: -Review this issue as a potential defect investigation -Evaluate the frequency/safety implications of coolant intrusion failures in Ford 2.0L EcoBoost engines - Consider whether further action or recall is warranted to protect vehicle owners and the public
