Went to do the 10000 mile maintenance, after the oil change and changing all the filters. The truck wouldn’t start, had a mechanic look at it and he said it’s a faulty fuel pump. Called the dealership as there is a recall for that part and it was serviced less than two years ago. So it’s covered under that and the recall warranty. The dealership is refusing to fix the truck, Chrysler customer care in Canada says it’s the U.S. office’s problem and they have to do it. U.S. office says I have to find a broker to switch the marketplace to the U.S.. Have called 40 places and no one including the dealerships knows what they are talking about with the broker. So now I have a truck I’ve owned for less than six months that needs possibly a 3000 dollar repair. That they should be doing free of charge.
The backup camera sometimes doesnt show the lines. also the camera sometimes glitches while backing up. And the infotainment system sometimes wont let the music out of the speakers even turning off and on the stereo/truck.
RF Module lost connection to CAN Bus and caused the vehicle to shutoff while driving. Symptoms include messages about key fob not within range and TPMS not able to communicate with sensors. RF Module was replaced however the issue returned. Other symptoms include parasitic draw caused by RF Module that in turn causes the system to report low voltage while driving. Vehicle has left me stranded on more than one occasion due to RF Module failures. These situations where preceded by no starts and shifter errors. Most of these issues can temporarily be resolved by disconnecting the main battery for extended periods. Dealer or service center has not reproduced the issue. Dealership inspected the RF module during installion of a new RF module after a water leak. The issue first appeared after the dealership repaired the "backlite" window, which was leaking on to the RF module. I suspect this might be related to system updates installed during the window installation service call. All of this started in early 2024.

Transmission won't go into reverse at times, auto shifting back to park before check engine light comes on. Vehicle initially started with hard shifts at low speeds about 25 mph. Issue progressed to the point where vehicle has to be put into reverse. Otherwise vehicle would not shift at the same point about 25 mph and would be stuck in the low gear until vehicle is shut off and restarted then put into reverse before proceeding. The issue has continued to grow where shifting into reverse causes the vehicle to noticeably lurch back with a very heavy thunk before putting it into drive. Reverse takes time engaging. However the issue will persist and it will not go into reverse before Auto shifting to park and the check engine light comes on. Vehicle would drive for a little while before the transmission would stop shifting and go into limp mode where I wouldn't be able to drive over 30 miles per hour without very high RPMs. During some of those times the vehicle would take a long time before the transmission would engage and shift which would cause the vehicle to jerk abruptly forward. And at times back tires have lost traction. Recently the vehicles transmission has disengaged entirely while driving. At times it'll be 40 mph where it will disengage or in one case about 15 mph as I was making a turn and in the intersection it disengaged. First time the vehicle went to a dealership. They were unable to replicate the problem and that was approximately 30,000 mi on the odometer. The second time it went in with the issue it was diagnosed as being a service bulletin which was then updated and issue remained. The third time it was brought in there was a code that showed that the clutch gear ratio was incorrect. Mechanics have said the vehicle needs a new transmission and this has been a known issue with the 8-speed 8 HP75 by ZF transmissions. Transmission has also surged and lunged while braking at various points. While completely stopped, vehicle has lurched forward.
First off the service shifter keeps coming on and off every time I take it to the dealership it’s off so they can’t read the code. Then the parking sensors keep coming on saying unavailable. Today when the service shifter came on, it went right back off and then when I went to turn onto the highway it felt like the truck stalled for a second then it started driving normal again and down the road. The service shifter light came back on, then went off. All recalls have been fixed on this vehicle and when I took it in and was charged $300 for a diagnostic, they couldn’t figure out what was wrong because the light wasn’t on anymore.
Hello my name is [XXX] , current owner of a 2019 Ram 1500 classic vin# [XXX] On 3-20-2026 As I was driving on I-10 with my family on the 3rd lane driving steady on a stop and go traffic. My vehicle lost complete power shutting down giving me little time to pull off to the left media. When I came to a full stop I immediately shift gear to parking and turned ignition key off. I proceeded to restart the engine but wouldn’t start. As I noticed a red bolt like light on the cluster no sound of any engine or click nothing at all . On the 3rd attempt the engine successfully turned on and proceeded to driving. My primary question to my concern is if there’s any possible recalls related to this issue? The truck is out of warranty. I spoke to a Ram service adviser [XXX] at [XXX] and states mopar wont cover into fixing the problem the because it’s an 7 year old vehicle and out of warranty . I would have to pay for the diagnostic of $190 . I after my research on google facts that there’s been recalls on this matter on 2019 rams . I shouldn’t be charged for a diagnosis if this a recall matter. Thank you in advance for correspondent and taking the time to read my concern. Sincerely [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Vehicle lost all power and shut off on two occasions during operation. Luckily steering and breaks were not impacted. Dealership was unaware what could have caused the incident. However, a local shop identified the alternator/power generator as being faulty. Ram 1500 owners forums show this is a widespread issue. So widespread there is a 8000 part backorder to order an OEM replacement part. Local dealership stated the part has been on backorder for more than one year.

On 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn digital part of the front dash instrument cluster goes intermittently black screen once it gets warmer outside.
Has happened 5 times, I also replaced the battery with a new one. Cargo light switch cuts on by itself and drains battery.Issues with rear camera after battery was charged. Also CarPlay doesn’t work sometimes.

When fueling up the truck the gas pump keeps clicking like if the truck is full of fuel but it isn’t. The truck has a cap less system so there’s a valve on top of the gas tank that is supposed to let the fuel into the fuel tank once gas starts pouring in. The valve gets stuck and it takes a long time to refuel. There’s no way to replace that valve because it’s molded into the gas tank so it can’t be replaced without replacing the whole gas tank itself.
Power steering seems to have stopped all fuses have been checked. Wiring is checked steering is underwhelming and very hard to turn at low and high speeds.
complete power steering failure upon starting the truck-truck is very difficult to steer warning lamp appeared in dash immediately cruise control doesnt always come on without smacking the backside of button on steering wheel

UKNOWN ENGINE SIEZED WHILE DRIVING LOW OIL LIGHT CAME ON BRIEFLY BEFORE STALL. NO EVIDENCE OF AN OUL LEAK BEFOREHAND. TRUCK WILL NOT START.
Rear view camera first began blanking out in the morning, when the temperature was below 64 degrees F. About 6 months later, the camera began blanking out completely (regardless of temperature). The camera image is supposed to appear on the left side of the rear view mirror. Now, instead of the picture, there is an image of a camera icon with a slash through it (indicating lack of input from a camera).

Rear power sliding window leak caused by cracked backlite
The alternator/generator (part #68623194AC) stopped working and rendered the car undriveable. This happened while we were driving. It is available for inspection. The problem has been confirmed. The car started making a terrible noise prior to all of the lights coming on and it becoming undrivable.
Vehicle has sweet smell of coolant/antifreeze in the cab regularly. Appears to be a heater core leak. This is a safety issue due to potential engine failure and inhaling toxic chemical odors in the cab.

Our 2019 Ram 1500 has less than 40,000 miles but now diagnosed with Internal Failure in ABS Module and Hydraulic control. There is currently no ABS recall linked to our VIN but a similar ABS recall covers our 2019 truck year and Ram 1500 truck model (24V-653). Dealership and Stellantis Recall support cannot help and declined our request for appeal on this. We are told we can later apply for reimbursement if a recall is later issued - but this problem should be investigated.
I am the owner of a 2019 Ram 1500. An airbag deployment incident occurred and Stellantis initiated an investigation into the airbag system. During that investigation, Stellantis and/or its contractor Bosch extracted Event Data Recorder (EDR) crash data from the vehicle's airbag control module using Bosch Crash Data Retrieval (CDR) equipment. Despite multiple requests, Stellantis has refused to provide the extracted EDR data to the vehicle owner. Under Texas Transportation Code §547.615, information recorded by an Event Data Recorder in a motor vehicle is the property of the vehicle owner. The data was taken from my vehicle, yet the manufacturer is refusing to release the information. Because this data relates directly to the airbag system and crash safety systems of the vehicle, I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter and determine whether the manufacturer is improperly withholding safety-related crash data from the vehicle owner.
While traveling at a high rate of speed, the power steering light came on, and the steering wheel locked up and became almost impossible to turn. After pulling over and turning the vehicle off, the problem went away. But only to have the problem happen again, twice more creating unsafe driving conditions.
Water leaked into the cab from faulty rear window frame and damaged a key electical component. This component is clled RF module and controls the Ignition, locks, remote operations from the fobik. Imobilizing the vehicle, recall covers the Backlite rear window leak but not the damage caused, leaving vehicles stranded and imobilized. The repair by dealer is almost $2000.00.
Incident Description: I am reporting three recurring safety hazards with my 2019 Ram 1500. 1. Intermittent ABS/ESC Error: The vehicle recently displayed an ABS error message on the dashboard. The error cleared itself after the vehicle was power-cycled (shut off and restarted). This intermittent failure of the Anti-lock Braking System and Electronic Stability Control is a severe safety risk, as the system could fail during an emergency braking event. My VIN is currently excluded from Recall 24V-653, despite my vehicle exhibiting the exact symptoms described. 2. Unintended Forward Lunging: Before reaching operating temperature (cold start), the truck abruptly lunges forward while idling or under light braking. This occurs without driver input and has been reported by numerous other Ram owners as a cause for rear-end collisions. 3. "Shift into P than Desire Gear" Error: While coming to a stop, the dashboard displays "Shift into P than Desire Gear," and the transmission slips into Neutral. This causes a sudden loss of motive power in traffic. I am aware of reports where this has caused vehicles to "lock up" or stall at higher speeds. Safety Risk: The combination of an unpredictable transmission (lunging/slipping to neutral) and an intermittent ABS failure makes this vehicle unsafe to operate. The manufacturer's current recall list for the 2019 model year is clearly incomplete, as my vehicle is suffering from these documented defects but remains ineligible for a recall repair.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the instrument cluster was black. The contact stated that the failure was initially intermittent but had become a permanent failure. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
Purchased vehicle used in 2024 and purchased a 3 year extended bumper to bumper warranty. The center screen was restarting every 3 minutes and was draining my battery down to being completely dead when it was not running. On 12/15/2025 I brought the truck to a Ram dealer with the problem and it was diagnosed by the dealer (Sansone Auto Mall) as needing to replace the entire radio/HVAC center stack, and it was the cause of the parasitic drain on the battery. The work was approved by my warranty and the parts were ordered. It has been 11 weeks and the parts have not arrived and Stellantis has been unable to provide a timeframe of when the parts will arrive at the dealer to do the repairs. The truck has no defroster or heat rendering it unsafe to be driven on roads. I have had an open case with Stellantis for several weeks and call them frequently to attempt to locate the parts for my vehicle in which they are unable to provide me a delivery date and a repair timeframe.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and hauling a 500 lb. trailer, the vehicle hesitated and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. In addition, a bearing made an abnormal grinding sound. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road, opened the hood, and noticed dust on top of the eTorque Motor Generator Unit (MGU). The contact was able to restart the engine. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the Motor Generator Unit (MGU) had failed. The dealer informed the contact that continuous driving of the vehicle had caused the tensioner to overextend due to the loss of power by the MGU and bearing. The contact was informed that parts to repair the vehicle were on backorder. The vehicle remained with the dealer unrepaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and filed a claim. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

1 The vehicle’s dashboard upper trim panel (leather covering and stitching) has failed. The leather is lifting and separating from the dashboard surface, and the stitching is coming undone. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. The lifting and peeling leather creates a safety concern. The leather separation is present at all times and continues to lift from the dashboard. The condition becomes significantly worse during hot and humid weather, as the material expands further. This can obstruct the driver’s forward or peripheral vision, including blind spots, reducing the ability to clearly see passengers, other vehicles, or road hazards. Additionally, if the material continues to detach, loose sections could interfere with steering wheel components or dashboard controls, creating a distraction or potentially affecting safe vehicle operation. 3. Yes, the issue has been inspected and confirmed by a dealer. The dealer acknowledged the dashboard leather separation and stitching failure. Similar issues have also been reported in other vehicles of the same make and model. 4. The issue has been inspected and confirmed by an authorized dealer. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. The manufacturer has not directly inspected the vehicle at this time. 5. There were no warning lamps or dashboard messages prior to this issue. The first symptom was visible lifting of the leather and loosening of the stitching on the dashboard. The condition has progressively worsened over time and becomes more pronounced during hot and humid weather, although the separation is present regardless of weather conditions.
Hello! I have had my 2019 RAM 1500 for 5 years now. I have called RamCare many times trying to get my problems resolved and they just keep saying my truck is not under the recalls. Both problems I have are exactly what the recalls are AND my manufacturing date on my truck shows that they SHOULD be covered, but for some reason the recall isnt attached to my truck VIN. 1: Cracked back window sliding frame. It is cracked in the EXACT spots thst show on the recall and my back window let's water leak in. 2: Tailgate opens on its own from being misaligned. Both have recall bulletins out that my truck 100% falls under, but for some reason, the recalls aren't attached to my VIN. I have called the dealer a few different times trying to get this resolved and they have still be unable to get them done. The dealership service managers have even told.me that my truck should DEFINITELY be under the two recalls and they dont understand why they aren't. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars the last couple years getting all kinds of things fixed on my truck AND I actually just dropped my truck off this evening to get new manifolds installed tomorrow! This is the SECOND time that I have had to get this done because the Mopar manifolds are junk and keep cracking! I just don't understand why RamCare can't just attached my VIN to the recalls so I can get them fixed like they should. The dealrrship even said they should! I have had Chrysler/Mopar vehicles for almost 20 years now!!! I have always been a very loyal customer. I just don't understand. I don't think it is fair at all.

Leather comes apart from dash of vehicle obstruction front defrost causing issues for defrosting front windshield. This has been mention to mopar/dodge and since issue is considered not something covered by warranty it has continuously detached from dash. I have called several times regarding the leather detaching from the dash board. Mopar has refused to fix the issue and over time it has only gotten worse.
The exhaust manifolds crack both of them which is a flaw that has not been recalled The leak started within a few months of owning the truck new it was under bumper to bumper warranty but the leak was not loud so I did not worry about it and it always passed emissions after the manufactures warranty was up i bought an extended warranty and it ran up still passing emissions, the truck got to about 110,000 miles I have never had to fix anything but battery, tires, and oil still passing emissions. The leak started getting louder especially with a cold motor and startup fuel milage has decreased and most importantly exhaust would come into the cabin during ideal so, if I'm in heavy traffic or stopped at a light it gets hard to breath I had to replace the exhaust manifolds because I take my grandson sometimes and I don't want him getting carbon monoxide poisoning.
The truck has two issues that may be related. The third brake light leaks water. they tried to fix it, it happened again. The leaks have ruined my upholstery of the back seats. They have an extended warranty for this but it should be a recall. I believe the leak also is effecting my push button (electrical issues), the car won't start. It just clicks and you have to remove the battery or do weird things to make it start again. I think the leak may be connected because there is a computer on the bottom of the rear window floor that keeps getting wet. The push button to turn the car on is a major pain and it happens at random times or after lots of rain. It can leave you stranded for an half hour or days. It also affects the power roof. I can't open/close the power roof without doing crazy things. The push button start is reported by thousands online. Dodge charges 50k and cannot provide basic start button that don't leave you stranded.

I am writing to report a critical safety defect in my vehicle, a 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn , involving a catastrophic failure of the heater core (heater coil). This failure creates an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety as defined under 49 U.S.C. § 301. Safety Risk 1: Acute Toxicity and Driver Impairment The failed component is releasing vaporized ethylene glycol directly into the passenger cabin through the HVAC vents. Per CDC and ATSDR documentation, these fumes are known to cause respiratory distress and neurological impairment, including dizziness and confusion. While operating the vehicle, these fumes caused [describe your symptoms, e.g., dizziness or coughing], creating an immediate risk of a crash. Safety Risk 2: Severe Visual Obstruction The vapor creates a persistent, oily film on the interior of the windshield that cannot be cleared by the defrost system. This "flash-fogging" has severely restricted my field of vision during operation, which mirrors safety risks identified in NHTSA Recall 24V-011. Safety Risk 3: Electrical and Fire Hazard Liquid coolant is currently leaking into the dashboard area, which houses critical wiring harnesses and electronic control modules. This exposure to conductive fluid poses a high risk of electrical short-circuits and potential vehicle fire, as documented in previous NHTSA investigations (e.g., Recall 26V012). Supporting Information: * VIN: [XXX] * Current Mileage: 93000 * Incident Date: January 17 2026 I request that the NHTSA open a Preliminary Evaluation into this model’s heater core assembly to determine if a safety-related recall is warranted. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Reference NHTSA Safety Recall Safety Recall VB8 / NHTSA 19V-812 Electric Power Steering Gear. My 2019 Ram 1500 has this exact issue. The recall is VIN specific and my vehicle is not a listed VIN. Chrysler is not willing to honor the safety recall for this specific truck. The vehicle is unsafe to drive and this is a noted problem with this vehicle.
