An Audi dealer installed 245/40R18 93H tires on this 2018 Audi A4, while the vehicle placard/specification requires 245/40R18 97H. The lower load index reduces capacity from 1,609 lb per tire to 1,433 lb per tire, approximately 704 lb total across four tires. This creates a safety risk because load-
... rated tires affect vehicle stability, heat buildup, braking, steering/cornering, suspension loading, and tire failure/blowout risk. After discovering the mismatch, the concern was reported to the dealer and Audi, but the dealer stated the 93H tires were acceptable rather than providing a safety-based correction. No crash, fire, injury, or fatality occurred. This complaint is being submitted because the vehicle may have been operated with under-rated tires and because the issue can affect handling, braking, tire durability, suspension/wheel components, and safe vehicle control. Tire/repair-order records, door-jamb placard evidence, load-index comparison evidence, and dealer communications are available.Read more

This matches the exact failure profile of NHTSA Recall Numbers 23V-858, 21V-215, and 20V-314 (Honda Campaigns KGC/KGD). This defect causes the vehicle to lose power unexpectedly, creating an immediate crash hazard on active roadways. 2. BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DEFECT: The vehicle is suffering from critical electrical disruptions, resulting in erratic component failures including [mention any specific symptoms you have, e.g., malfunctioning windshield wipers, defrosoter failure, rear-view camera blacking out, or power window errors]. This perfectly mirrors the systemic programming defect outlined in NHTSA Recall Number 20V-771 (Honda Campaign X95). DEALER DIAGNOSIS & MANUFACTURER DENIAL: I have taken the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership multiple times. - In June 2025, the BCM software issues were initially dismissed by the dealer as a general electrical problem. - A subsequent comprehensive diagnostic confirmed the fuel pump and BCM failure, resulting in a repair estimate of $4,688. The dealership refused to cover the repairs under the safety recalls, citing that my VIN is not currently flagging "open recalls" in their corporate database. When referred to American Honda Motor Co. Corporate Customer Support, corporate summarily dismissed my complaint and refused any cost assistance or repair remedy, despite their clear knowledge that these exact defects plague the 2019 Accord LX model year. I own a 2019 Ford Expedition with fewer than 100,000 miles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle began experiencing a loud cold-start rattle, engine timing issues, and check engine light illumination. The vehicle was diagnosed by a Ford dealership with internal VCT/cam phaser mechanica
... l failure affecting engine timing and performance. The dealership diagnostic identified trouble codes P0016, P0365, and P0369. The dealership also documented that the engine oil level and condition were within specification, indicating the failure was not caused by lack of maintenance or neglect. The dealership recommended replacement of all four VCT units and four VCT solenoids due to internal mechanical failure. This issue creates a serious safety concern because improper engine timing can cause loss of power, rough operation, stalling, or sudden engine performance issues while driving. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Ford vehicles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, particularly involving cam phasers, timing components, and VCT systems. A major internal timing-related failure on a vehicle with under 100,000 miles should not occur under normal operating conditions. I am submitting this complaint because this defect may affect the safe operation and reliability of the vehicle.Read more

This time also the front collision warning did not come on and the vehicle did not brake and went and hit a tree. There was a video that captured this incident and was shown to our Ford dealership and they did not do anything about it. We told them that the vehicle accelerates by itself and is a safety hazard. Since this did not involve any other vehicle or pedestrian the hazard was limited only to ourselves, The insurance was charged more than $10,000 to fix the damages and we also had to pay a deductible of $1000. More importantly we are unaware if this has been reported by others and can cause serious injuries to the driver, occupants of the vehicle and other who may be involved inadvertenly. The vehicle experienced a sudden loss of motive power and became inoperable due to failure of the high-pressure fuel system. This VIN is subject to an active safety recall (NHTSA 24V957 / Ford 24S78) addressing high-pressure fuel pump failure that can result in loss of motive power while driving. P
... rior to failure, the vehicle exhibited reduced engine performance and drivability issues consistent with fuel system malfunction. No Water-In-Fuel warning or alert was displayed prior to the failure. The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Ford dealership. Ford and the dealership asserted “fuel contamination” as the cause and refused to repair the vehicle under the recall or warranty unless the customer paid for diagnostic teardown. The recall repair was not performed. The vehicle remains unrepaired and was removed from the dealership. The loss of motive power created a safety risk to the occupants and other motorists. We are concerned that a recalled safety defect affecting the fuel system is not being remedied and is being mischaracterized to avoid recall repair.Read more

The 2018 Model X experienced a sudden and complete loss of power and became totally inaccessible. All doors and access points were inoperable and the vehicle could not be unlocked, disconnected, powered on, or placed into any service or tow mode. Emergency front-trunk release cables had to be used a
... nd external 12-volt power applied at the jump terminals to wake the vehicle. The inability to access the vehicle was unexpected and alarming. Children, pets, elderly, and others could have been inside of the vehicle. Thankfully, they were not. Tesla inspected the vehicle and stated the failure was related to the battery coolant heater. The failure resulted in a complete vehicle immobilization and access failure. I had previously experienced restart warnings on the dashboard, but I did not expect a total lockout and loss of access. The inability to access the vehicle was unexpected and alarming. It may be a known safety issue. It should be recalled. This condition presents a serious safety risk because occupants could be trapped inside the vehicle and the vehicle cannot be accessed or moved without external power. In extreme heat or cold, or in a medical or emergency situation involving a child or pet, this failure mode could create a life-threatening situation. Importantly, even after multiple requests, I have not received a copy of the diagnostic report, or anything other than informal emails or calls. Tesla has not provided information regarding this failure other than broad statements, and visuals of the location of the battery pack, in an attempt to deny warranty coverage. The Tesla reports a High Voltage System alert currently. The vehicle is subject to Tesla’s Battery and Drive Unit Limited Warranty. Tesla has stated that the failed component was the battery coolant heater, but has refused to cover the repair under warranty. Tesla confirmed the failure but has not provided the diagnostic report, fault codes, or vehicle logs supporting its determination.Read more

On November 26, 2025, while traveling in stop-and-go freeway traffic, I experienced a severe braking failure that led to a rear-end collision. Despite applying maximum force to the brake pedal, the vehicle did not decelerate as expected. Objective technical evidence from the Bosch CDR report (Case
... #1105768) confirms a critical system failure: Extreme Driver Input: At -0.5 seconds before impact, Driver Applied Brake Pedal Pressure reached 10,935 kPa, representing a near-maximum emergency braking effort. Inadequate Response: Despite this peak pressure, the Vehicle Indicated Speed decreased only from 24 MPH to 22 MPH in the final 0.5-second interval. Data Discrepancy: The vehicle decelerated by 12 MPH (from 36 to 24 MPH) between -1.0s and -0.5s under lower pressure (7,695 kPa). However, when brake pressure was increased to its peak at -0.5s, deceleration effectively stalled. Electronic Anomaly: The Traction Control System (TCS) was reported as "Active" throughout the braking event, indicating potential improper electronic intervention. This vehicle has a history of significant electrical failures, including a total power loss on 10/15/2024 that required a high-voltage battery replacement. The failure of the braking system to respond to maximum driver input poses a catastrophic safety risk. I am requesting an investigation into the 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ's brake-by-wire and electronic stability control integration.Read more

BMW N63 Engine Powertrain Issues 2012 535i The N63 engine, utilized in various BMW models including the 2012 535i, has been subject to multiple customer complaints regarding premature timing chain wear and other powertrain-related issues. This led BMW to introduce a "Customer Care Package," detailed
... in Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) B110614, to address the concerns reported by multiple owners and noted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under ID Number 11016414. A primary cause of the issue is accelerated timing chain wear. The N63 engine's design features timing chains that are prone to stretching prematurely. This stretching can disrupt the precise timing of the engine's valves, leading to a cascade of problems. As a consequence, owners have reported a variety of symptoms, including the illumination of the "drivetrain malfunction" warning light, noticeable engine noise, excessive vibration, and potentially catastrophic engine failure. The "drivetrain malfunction" message, in particular, is a frequently cited indicator of this underlying powertrain problem. To address these widely reported issues, the N63 Customer Care Package was implemented. This service bulletin instructs authorized BMW technicians to perform a series of diagnostic tests. The main objective is to detect if the timing chains have stretched beyond acceptable tolerances. If excessive wear is confirmed, the TSB provides a detailed procedure for the necessary repairs. This often involves replacing the timing chains and related components to restore proper engine function. Beyond the core timing chain replacement, the Customer Care Package also includes several proactive and preventative measures. Technicians are instructed to check and potentially replace other components, such as fuel injectors and boost solenoids, which may have been impacted or contributed to the engine's performance issues. Furthermore, the service includes reprogramming the vehicle's softwareRead more

Pressing the gas pedal didn't do any

A cop who was driving by, saw my situation and nudged the car to the side of the road because it was blocking other traffic. I turned off the car and waited for 5 minutes. Turned the car back on. This time the message displayed as "Emission system problem". I was able to drive the van normally for another 30 miles to get back home. There was no obvious mechanical issues either before or after the car went to neutral. On Monday, I took the car to a honda dealership. While driving there, the car still had "Emission system problem" error. As soon as the person in the dealership turned on the car to get the mileage, the dashboard message went away. They did a diagnostic and said that they got a p0810 code. They reset the code and drove it for 10 miles trying to reproduce the issue. They couldn't reproduce it. As of today's date, 09/22/2025, my 2024 KIA Forte remains at the KIA dealership with no foreseeable actions that may lead to a safe resolution. Further: 1) Component or system failed/malfunctioned - Engine, fuel pump, water pump. 2) Is it available for inspection - Yes. 3) How was your safety or that of others put at risk - Vehicle switched off multiple times while operating in traffic and barely escaping accidents. Suffered a scrape on the passenger's door as vehicle would not accelerate and stalled in a separate incident. 4) Vehicle or component been inspected by manufacturer - Yes, at the KIA dealership again. 5) Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure - No, there were no prior warning lamps, messages, or symptoms. KIA dealership stated that the 2024 KIA Forte has been "reprogrammed", but the dealership has been unable to identify the safety issues it has. I do not feel safe to operate this vehicle nor have any family members operate it.Read more

The transmission has failed due to a snap ring being dislodged. This caused substantial damage requiring complete transmission rebuild. The vehicle is currently at a ford dealership where they have identified the issue. The serviceman stated that the snap ring failure is due to manufactures defect
... and that it is a well known and common failure. Ford has a service bulletin describing this issue. Failure to repair this in a timely manner will cause catastrophic failure that could lead to loss of control of the vehicle. There were no warning lights for this issue. The first symptom was harsh shifting. The vehicle was taken to the dealership the day following the first symptom but the damage had been done.Read more

The contact owns a 2023 Honda Odyssey. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle started to lose motive power. The contact stated that the check engine and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. There was an abnormal metallic grinding sound coming from t
... he engine compartment before the vehicle stalled. The contact was unable to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that a tow truck was called, but the driver was unable to restart the vehicle to shift into neutral(N). A tow truck with a dolly was called, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact wanted a second opinion and had the vehicle towed to another dealer, who also determined that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. When coming to a full stop at a red light (or any need to idle at a stop), the car frequently begins to hesitate as if it is about to cut off. I assume it has something to do with the ‘fuel saving feature’ which comes on in the form of a green symbol in the lower left of the odometer display (th
... e engine is still running the AC) . When you start to drive again the car always jerks before moving , on at least 3 occasions it has actually cut off completely and must be restarted (everything goes off) - it is big problem, especially in heavy traffic (horns blaring & angry drivers are encountered) I almost had a car hit me from behind; my car had jerked slightly when I began to accelerate and then shut off completely. It is definitely a dangerous defect. The Dealership emphasizes 93 Octane gas or higher to help with this issue- but I Always use the highest Octane gas I can find ! It has happened VERY often - I dread stopping at red lights and stop signs, one day it will cause an accident.Read more
