The carseat will not lock into the base proper in any recline position except 1. 1 is supposed to be for a newborn. When you place the seat (till you hear it "lock" into place per the manual and a CPST) in 2, 3, or 4 then the seat drops down into the 1 position while driving down the road. We've contacted evenflo repeatedly and no help from them. Now it's to the point it doesn't even lock into 1. We've had this seat since Jan 17, 2023. I have checked online and am able to find 30+ reviews of parents with the same issue across reddit, Amazon, and Walmart. A recall on the seat needs issued immediately. This has been going on since Jan 21st, 2023.

This vehicle will slip in and out 4 wheel drive on its own. This can occur when driving and I’m concerned it will create a dangerous situation, especially if driving at high speeds. When this issue is occurring, making tight turns (parking, neighborhood driving) becomes very dangerous as the wheels become locked and you have to press the accelerator down creating a lot of power and the vehicle becomes dangerously uncontrollable. This is very common while parking, when often pedestrians are present and the vehicle becomes unpredictable due to this issue. This will also occur at a 2 way stop when turning right in front of on-coming traffic. The vehicle will again be unpredictable and can’t turn smoothly impairing traffic coming from behind.
Was on a delivery order with Doordash suddenly the truck started bucking back and forth it had felt as if someone was slaming into the back of truck anyway I was on the highway in traffic when this had started leaving me 1st and 2nd gear than final with no gears cause the transmission was burning hot to the touch causing burns on my hand when I tried to check out I was told my truck went into some kind of limp mode cause of transmission control module and shifted solenoid A on the transmission someone needs to hold Dodge responsible for its failures

My 2005 Durango all of a sudden has decided to stall while driving . I've bought this vehicle almost 2 years ago, and this is by far the scariest experience I've had in it. The first time it happened was as I was slowing down to stop at a red light on January 17th. Since then it has been stalling one at least 3 to 5 times a week . Something isn't right. I did receive a code from my Milewise ins OBD reader today, that said P1794 URGENCY UNKNOWN - contact your mechanic . That's one of 3 I got . The other two are p 0700 Transmission control system ( MIL request ) Urgent - have checked ASAP AND - P0430 CATALYST system efficiency below threshold. Urgent - have checked ASAP This tells me something is seriously wrong and it's going to cost me a fortune. Which for me is impossible to even try to contemplate. I am disabled and my income is not enough. I can not afford to fix this, nor can I afford to buy something else. This is a real problem that I can't afford and it should have been fixed before when it was brought to your attention back in 2005.
I have own my Durango for about 4 years and I recently had the air bag recall repaired that it had. My vehicle also had a previous recall for the fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve. It causes gas to splash out at a large amount which splashes out at you, all over the truck and the ground. It does this every time I fill my tank. I looked it up online and mine was never replaced but “checked” before I owned it. I don’t know why it was replaced because my vehicles is obviously affected by this recall and the dealer will not fix it because it was previously checked. I’m scared of the danger this issues has. I’m a single dad and this is my only vehicle. It happens regularly every time I refuel.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the gears inadvertently shifted from AWD to 4WD-Low. The contact also stated that while attempting to unlock the front driver’s side door, she heard the gears shifting inadvertently. The contact then stated that the driveshaft made a loud grinding sound. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The mechanic retrieved DTC code: P0700 (Transfer Case motor and possibly snap ring) failure. The vehicle was not repaired. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000.
The vehicle is shifting itself into 4WD HI, and sometimes even LO, while being driven - even at highway speed, which causes a sudden and dramatic drop in speed. It also makes turning the vehicle very difficult. This is dangerous and occurs regularly. There are many online forums discussing this exact issue with 2044/2005 Durango's, but no one seems to have a solution. For instance - https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t4148_ds482593
I almost died, I escaped my car moments before it completely exploded into flames. I was driving down the interstate and it said it was overheating for a couple seconds and then the car went completely dead going 70 miles per hour. My steering wheel locked up so I fought to pull it off the road and stop it, I had a bad feeling so I checked the front of the car but it was inflamed once I got out and my seat was consumed in fire

VIN: [XXX], 2005 Dodge Durang0 SLT, 4.7L. Vehicle purchased party on 07/20/2022. Register and insured 07/21/2022. SAFETY FCA Recall #: H45. NHTSA Recall #: 09v-003; The fuel tank inlet check valve sticks in the open position, causing fuel to spill out of the filler tube when the vehicle is being refueled. Fuel in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire. Repair Description: The fuel inlet check valve must be tested for proper operation. A vehicle with a sticking check valve must have the fuel tank replaced. On 08/08/2022 during the second attempt of refueling as the current owner. There was fuel spillback during refueling. However, customer service ([XXX]) stated that the safety recall had been completed but in fact per recall status according to FCA, only an INSPECTION was performed. This is not only a serious safety concern to myself and my family but also to the community at large. Especially during refueling, with the possibility of an explosion and fire caused by fuel spilling and igniting in the process. I have had my durango for about 2 years, one day I went to start it and it clicked as if battery had died. When I jumped it, it started right up. I noticed that my dash had a tire sensor light and a light saying Overhead lamp on. I turned my overhead switch and all my lights in the car turned on and then off when i turned switch.( normal) so I knew something was up. After doing some research I read about the recall. I Made an appointment on the 15th of June to get a recall for my instrument panel fixed. I dropped my car off at 7 am my appointment was at 8am. I called around 11:30 to get an ETA since I was on a time limit for work and live an hour away. The dealership called to tell me that he needed to take out cluster and test it and if it was cluster he would have to order it and it could be a few days. If it was fine it was a circuit Issue and he would need to fix it. Thank god my mother was in the same area visiting and was able to give me a ride home. He then called that evening and asked if I owned another Key/FOB. I told them I didn't and my fob has never worked since i purchased the vehicle. He stated that he got the recall all finished and fixed but now all the lights on my dash were flashing, my headlights the horn, flashers and something" went wonky" there. He then tried to tell me they needed to order a new fob to program it to my car and it was going to cost me almost $400. I told them I was not going to pay that amount and that it seems like they messed something up when they put it together. I picked up my car Friday the 17th and my tire pressure light was still on. After getting home and checking tires they were all fine. The next day I went to start my car and the Headlight lamp light came back onto my dash. I already had to take 2 days off work and now have to miss more to have this recall done right. I looked up my vin today the 20th and it says my recall is incomplete! To top it off they never gave me any paperwork or have me sign anything.
Vehicle spontaneously caught on fire while I was at an ATM. No known cause. The vehicle was in good condition for its age with no major repairs needed and no significant body damage. There had been no major mechanical changes to the vehicle during the time I owned it. It was used regularly with appropriate oil changes and repairs as needed and had otherwise been safe to drive. I was unable to extinguish the fire. Thomson-McDuffie Fire and EMS was called to extinguish flames. Vehicle was totally destroyed/irreparable. This has been a devastating financial blow to me as a single parent as due to the age of the car, it was only insured for collision. It was also a terrifying experience.

While driving 4 lo light comes on and trys 2 engage into 4lo while driving. Read and researched and seems 2 b a big issue wit this.

I have had problems with the 4 wheel/ all wheel drive engaging on it's own. The problem exists even when the vehicle is turned off when using the key fob to lock the vehicle. I have on a two occasions have the transmission shift into four wheel low while doing over 55 mph which made the vehicle slow down skidding drastically and made the engine hit high RPMs. After checking online for some Information I've found that it's a problem with many owners of 2004, 2005 and 2006 Durango and Dakota owners and found that the body control module, 4 wheel module and shift actuator was part of the faults. They had disconnected the wire harness to the shift actuator to remedy the chance of having an accident. I have done the same and looked into replacing faulty parts but also found that the fix was also temporary many owners reported the same problem just days after repairs. Please look Into this, it's dangerous and it's well known that this problem exists with many owners why has Mopar not addressed it. It will kill someone.

I cant put more then 10 dollars in my tank because the nosle keeps clicking and gas pours out all over me and the ground. There was a recall for this, but it is no longer happening. I just bought this car used and now my mechanic cant even find a gas tank to replace it. My legs have felt like they where on fire and became red from the gas pouring out on me, my husband has had to hose me down outside in my backyard from having fuel all over my legs. This is very dangerous, nerve racking and a total safety hazard.

No check engine lite on at all the engine just stalls and I can restart the engine almost all the time right away the repair facility has no idea what is going on. Need to get this figured out before an accident happens

STALLS WHEN DRIVING. NO WARNING, STEERING AND BRAKES DO NOT WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. NO WARNING, NO WARNING LIGHTS. AFTER TAKING TO MULTIPLE MECHANICS TO TRY AND FIND THE ISSUE, NO MATTER THE TUNE UP OR REPLACEMENTS, CONTINUES TO STALL. WILL STALL MID DRIVING, WHEN STOPPED AT RED LIGHT AND GAS IS PRESSED TO PROCEED, STALLS, STALLS WHEN SITTING IN LINE WAITING. THIS IS VERY SCARY AND SHOULD BE RECALLED BY DODGE. AFTER READING THAT THIS HAPPENS OFTEN WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. I PURCHASED IN 2017, TO THIS DAY IT KEEPS HAPPENING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TPMS WARNING DISPLAY ILLUMINATED, EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH THE FEATURE. WHEN YOU FILL THE FUEL TANK FULL IT GUSHES OUT ALL OVER THE PLACE. HOW HASN'T THIS MATTER BEEN TAKEN CARE OF. IT'S EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE. DODGE MUST ENJOY SEEING UNSAFE [XXX]. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME WHEN YOU FILL UP. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, VEHICLE JUST THREW ITSELF INTO 4LO 4WD AND STARTED GRINDING. I HAD TO SLAM THE BRAKES TO SAVE THE TRUCK AND COME TO A QUICK STOP FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HAD TO LIMP IT HOME AT 15 MPH. BEFORE LIMPING IT HOME, IT DECIDED TO THROW ITSELF INTO NEUTRAL AND I COULDN'T GET ANY MOTION. AFTER BEING AT A COMPLETE STOP FOR A WHILE, THE VEHICLE WENT BACK INTO ONE OF IT'S 3 MODES (I DON'T KNOW WHICH), AWD, 4HI OR 4LO. I LIMPED IT HOME AND PARKED IT. DODGE DEALER SAYS I NEED A NEW TRANSFER CASE AND ONLINE INFORMATION FROM OTHER USERS SHOWS THIS AS A "KNOWN ISSUE" WITH NO REAL RESOLUTION. I HAVE READ THAT OTHER FOLKS HAVE REPLACED THEIR TRANSFER CASE AND STILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS TO HAVE HAPPENED TO ME AFTER ALL THESE YEARS OF PEOPLE REPORTING THIS ISSUE IN THE PAST. I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED AND I'M NOT HAPPY. I HAVE STAYED ON TOP OF ALL REPAIRS ON THIS VEHICLE AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES. THIS WAS A SHOCK. WHERE IS THE RECALL FOR THIS?
FUEL SHOOTS OUT OF FILLER TUBE WHILE FUELING THE VEHICLE
I HAVE A 2005 DURANGO AWD 5.7 HEMI AND THE OTHER DAY I NOTICE THE 4LO BLINKING WHILE DRIVING AND WHEN I UNLOCKED MY DOORS YOU COULD HEAR SOMETHING ENGAUGING WHEN THE VEHICAL WAS OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS BATTERY HAD DIED UPON START OF HIS VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS ABLE TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY. MONTHS LATER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SAME FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE JUMP STARTED AND TAKEN BACK TO HIS INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO CHARGED THE BATTERY AGAIN. DUE TO THE INEFFECTIVENESS OF THE CHARGE, THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE BATTERY. UPON RESEARCH, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE CHANGE OVER MOTOR LINKED TO THE FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE FEATURE COULD ENGAGE INDEPENDENTLY WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT THEN LINKED HIS FAILURE OF HIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE COULD HEAR AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE SVC 4WD SERVICE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY UPON START OF THE VEHICLE. GILL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1100 S MADERA AVE, MADERA, CA 93637) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 138,000.
