I was traveling at south bound on TOLL 130 going 80MPH (which is the speed limit on that road) when my Pacifica immediately slowed down and my accelerator gave out. In addition to my dash flashing that the cruise control was no longer available, but the van also said "Service Charging System" and "S
... hift to P to Start", the engine light and batter light both came on. I am sure that I almost died as I was in the middle lane and cars were whipping around me since I had slowed down so much, there was an 18 wheeler behind me and one of my righthand side, which is the shoulder I was trying to get to. I was finally able to coast to the shoulder and came to a stop, put the car in park and turned it off. I immediately started researching what the problem could be and I was alarmed to find out that this is an issue that others have had and that Chrysler has failed to issue a recall...I was able to start the car once more and get on to a little back road, after pushing through a barricade off the toll just for safety's sake, and my van broke down again, this time on a little 2 lane road, which thankfully had a little bit of a gravel shoulder. This time, my van took quite a bit longer to get started, but I was not safe where I was. I started it once more and was able to get to a Wal-Mart parking lot where my brother-in-law picked me up so that I could have a chance of making it to see my grandmother who was on her deathbed, I missed my window of opportunity to make it to see her, she died that afternoon. I had to pay an additional tow fee to get the vehicle moved from the parking lot to a Chrysler dealership since it was so far from where I usually go.Read more

I have a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. I purchased it brand new in 2018. This van has had sooo many problems, it has been in and out of the shop, countless recalls. Last year it was in the shop for almost the entire year, I think I had possession of the van for less than 3 months of the year
... . I just brought my van in for a recall related to the hybrid battery and it was returned to me in December, within 2 weeks there were check engine lights on and when I googled the code that was showing I found a ton of blogs about how people had the same recall done and within a short period of time this code came up and it meant the hybrid battery needs to be replaced. I reached out to the dealer and brought it in to get looked at. After a couple weeks I was told that the replacement of the battery would not be covered under the recall since part of the recall solution is testing the battery, and it tested good. I literally had only had the van back for 2 weeks. And I have countless records of engine codes showing up for years. I currently have 8 active engine codes showing. I know there is an open investigation concerning the recall I just had the remedy done for and I am 100% sure that this defect is related to that recall.Read more

The back of the second row bucket bucket will no longer latch in place, and free floats forwards and backwards, the bottom latch of the seat is also not longer catching and holding the seat in one place and moves all the way forwards in backwards. This is the second time this has happen, with a c
... ar seat installed. This caused the car seat to be the at the incorrect angle for the age, height and weight of my child. The latch mechanism that holds the seat back in a fixed position, and the seat in a fixed location both failed. In the event of a crash the seat back would swing forward causing the passenger in that seat to be hunched forward, along with the passenger to be pushed into the front passenger seat. The dealership repaired this same issue several years ago and it has since happened again. We took the car to the dealership today but they were not able to take in for a repair. There were no warning for this defect, just looking back and seeing that the car seat was no longer at the correct angle, and when removing my child from the car feeling the seat back, and seat base free moving in my hand.Read more

I was driving with my family on the interstate and was exiting when the car shuddered and I lost propulsion. Interior electrical power was still functional. This occurred as the car was switching to gas mode as I had been been driving about 30-35 miles on electric at that point. The gas motor neve

Shut off car and waited a beat then started car again, battery showed 1% and was able to pull 2 more feet into gas station and off to side before it completely died again (battery at 0%). I feel extremely fortunate that this didn't happen a moment earlier when I was on the expressway and that were able to get off of a busy road. I had the vehicle towed to nearest Chrysler dealer and had a friend drive me and my family to a nearby car rental place. After two weeks at the dealer, we were informed that the issue was likely the Power Inverter Module. We are still without car and waiting for updates from service department.Read more

I was driving on the freeway and my engine suddenly stopped out of nowhere. A console message informed me to shift from Drive to Park. The accelerator did not work. This happened 4 times before I could get off the freeway. The first time I pulled into the shoulder, but I still had to get off the fre
... eway. I had to wait about 10 minutes each time for the engine to start again until I could pull off the freeway and wait for AAA. I did not feel safe waiting on the freeway. I'm aware that there is a recall and that Chrysler has extended my engine warranty to 10 years. This is unacceptable because: 1. Replacing a part or wire does not ensure my transmission will not give out again. I was fortunate this last time, but I may not be so the next time this happens. I could die or cause harm to others, especially if I am travelling fast in the carpool or fast lane. 2. My car is paid off and has only 40,100 miles on it. But I have lost money and value in my car. 3. Chrysler knows there is a grave problem and should recall all affected vehicles to replace the entire transmission. The company is putting tens of thousands of people's lives at risk by not doing so.Read more
