THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE, POURED ANTIFREEZE INTO THE RADIATOR, WAITED A FEW MINUTES, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR, WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, AND FAN CLUTCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,000.

DOOR LOCKS WHEN THE-WHEN THE SERVO MOTOR FOR THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS FAILED IT FAILED IN THE DEAD BOLT LOCKED POSITION.
DOOR LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY LOCK AND CAN ONLY BE OPENED BY REMOVING THE DOOR PANEL AND REMOVING THE DEAD BOLT MECHANISM. THE CAR CAN NOT BE OPENED BY KEY OR SWITCH, IF YOU ARE IN THE CAR AND THE DOOR AUTOMATICALLY LOCK YOU MUST BREAK A WINDOW TO ESCAPE THE CAR. THE SERVICE MANAGER SAYS IT CAN HAPPEN IF YOU SHUT OFF THE KEY AND DO NOT REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION WITHIN 8 SECONDS. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE RADIATOR HOSE "JUST FELL OFF" THE RADIATOR SIDE. AT 5000 MILES WHILE IDLEING THE HOSE FELL OFF AND LAND ROVER REPLACED THE MOTOR. TWO MONTHS AGO I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED PER THE HOSE RECALL.
