I am experiencing a severe safety hazard with my 2018 F-150's 10R80 transmission. While accelerating, the transmission unexpectedly drops into neutral during the 2nd-to-3rd gear shift. The engine revs to the redline, then violently slams into gear, causing the truck to jerk forward unpredictably. Th
... is creates a terrifying, uncontrollable moment in traffic. A mechanic diagnosed the issue and stated it requires a complete transmission replacement using the newly updated, redesigned parts to prevent a recurrence. I am the second owner and the previous owner did a transmission flush and filter at 120k miles, currently at 140k miles and the transmission has failed. The previous owner had a detailed service history thats why I bought the vehicle because it was in such good shape.Read more

The oil pump is exhibiting erratic oil pressure behavior, verified by certified BMW technicians. This behavior has been documented by BMW to indicate that the oil pump can fail without warning, leading to an Uncommanded Loss of Propulsion Angle. The sudden and unexpected loss of power-assisted steer
... ing and braking, when the engine stalls in active traffic, can lead to death of the occupants or other drivers that the uncommanded automobile may collide with. Additionally, the thermoplastics in the oil pump component tend to shatter during cold starts, leaving occupants stranded in cold weather, and again, potentially leading to death. BMW is aware of this safety concern but is not offering a remedy at this time.Read more

2017 KIA SOUL, at approximately 87,000 miles began to show intermittent oil warning lights under regular G-loads pointing to oil starvation issues.Vehicle was taken to KIA Dealer for oil change. ... marker for second round of warranty checks per TSB 222 rev 8 Excessive Oil Consumption Nu/GAMMA/theta/kappa engines. Dealer is claiming that PN Oil Pressure Switch 94750 37100 is culprit and wanting to charge for service and parts. Existing TSB 237, Oil Pressure Switch Replacement, which outlines that the lambda engines have this exact same PN covered under warranty at no cost to client. This should set precedent that the TSB needs to include the same engine types in TSB 222 as the issue seems to be recurrent in engine types across the fleet of KIA manufactured vehicles. KIA corporate has a letter outlining that the repairs are to be covered by dealers for the Oil Pressure Switch in question.Read more

Upon taking my 2021 Rav4 Hybrid in for the rear traction motor cable corrosion recall (25TD01) on 5/7/2026, I was told there are no parts, no estimated arrival time, and therefore not even a rough estimate for a timeframe of repair. I was told that no one would inspect or evaluate the part in questi
... on to indicate if the car was safe to drive. I expressed my extreme concern given the recall includes risk of power failure, even while driving. I received inconsistent, avoidant answers and an absolute denial to remedy the situation in any way. I was told the dealership is "Dolan" and not "Toyota". I again expressed my concerns about safety and the dealerships' denial to, at minimum inspect the recalled part and/or housing of the part. Emily, the Service manager stated that Toyota does not "allow" loaner vehicles for this particular recall. She could not provide any sources for this information. To summarize; the dealer with not provide an inspection of the recalled part and/or housing, or give an estimated timeline for repair given I am #125 on a waitlist. There is a complete lack of regard for mine or my children's safety as the dealer will not provide any assessment of how bad the damage could be. They suggested that I continue to drive the vehicle, acknowledging all of the safety hazards that could occur. I am terrified of the possibility of having an accident with my kids in the car due to this recalled part failing, not having a vehicle to get to and from work, and the potential additional costs that this unaddressed recall issue could cause. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally address a serious issue regarding my recent service experience at Freeway Honda and the unfair handling of my case by American Honda concerning my Honda Civic (VIN: [XXX] ). On January 2, 2024, I brought my vehicle to Freeway Honda due to recurring
... air conditioning issues. My service advisor, Erick Zermeno, informed me that the system had three leaks: the condenser, the compressor, and the evaporator. While he acknowledged that the condenser and compressor were covered under warranty, he stated that the evaporator was not and quoted approximately $1,900.00 for the repair. Furthermore, he refused to repair the warranty-covered parts unless I agreed to pay out-of-pocket for the evaporator repair at the same time. When I declined, the manager, Jamie, required me to pay a $175.00 diagnostic fee to have my vehicle released, despite the fact that the inspection identified defects covered by the extended warranty. Seeking a second opinion, I visited Norm Reeves Honda in Irvine on January 31, 2024. Their technicians determined that only the A/C condenser and compressor were leaking. They repaired both parts at no charge under the warranty and found no issues with the evaporator at that time. It appears Freeway Honda attempted to charge me for an unnecessary repair and wrongfully collected a diagnostic fee for a warranty-related inspection. This matter has been reported to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I previously filed a complaint with American Honda (Case #XXX) and requested a full refund of the $175.00 fee. Later on, the defroster and the A/C started to cause problems. On October 8, 2024, the A/C failed again, and Norm Reeves Honda confirmed the evaporator was leaking, resulting in a repair cost of $1,797.79. Although American Honda initially offered a partial reimbursement of approximately $960.00, which I declined due to the ongoing nature of these failures. Now, they rescinded the offer. I am filing a safety complaint regarding a progressive engine defect. Beginning as early as 2019 (approximately 84,000 miles), I repeatedly reported excessive oil consumption and related engine concerns to authorized Audi dealerships. These complaints continued over several years. At no point was I
... informed that these symptoms could be associated with a known defect pattern or progressive engine failure. The condition has now escalated to a severe engine malfunction. The vehicle began exhibiting engine misfires, flashing check engine light, EPC warning, and unstable operation. The dealership confirmed misfire fault codes and oil contamination affecting the ignition system. Engine replacement was initially recommended. Excessive oil consumption leading to internal contamination and misfires presents a significant safety hazard. Loss of engine power or sudden failure while driving can create dangerous conditions, particularly at highway speeds or in traffic. Despite the long history of reported symptoms, Audi of America has declined to provide assistance, citing only warranty status and failing to address the defect progression. The vehicle has now been inoperable at an Audi dealership for approximately 60 days (nearly two months), with no resolution. This situation raises concerns regarding a safety-related defect, failure to disclose a known issue, and a potential broader pattern affecting similar vehicles equipped with this engine. I am requesting that this issue be reviewed for potential defect investigation. The dealer provided diagnostic findings with Failure Codes via a temporary link that is no longer accessible. I am requesting a copy of the full report and will upload this (once received), along with other documentation.Read more

11/2/2025- The forward collision warning and the automatic emergency braking system engaged and brought my vehicle to a complete stop in the middle of the road when there was no imminent danger of a forward collision occurring. My vehicle was rear ended by the vehicle behind me as a result of the su

This same incident happened a few days before this collision, but there was no vehicle behind my vehicle, so no rear end accident happened at that time. 12/1/2026- vehicle inspected at Jim Click Hyundai regarding the sudden stopping of the vehicle. Jim Click determined a fault code FRONT CAMERA BLOCKAGE. Dealer said they cleared the code and the problem should not return. On or around 12/8/2025 the 2025 Hyundai again had the front collision avoidance system randomly setting off alarms when the vehicle was driving on the freeway and other vehicles were traveling alongside the 2025 Hyundai. There was no emergency braking occurring at this time. 12/9/2025- the 2025 Hyundai returned to Jim Click Hyundai and at that time the dealer determined the front camera was showing an obstruction when none was there. They replaced the front camera with a new camera. 12/28/2025- the same problem of the front collision avoidance system and the automatic emergency braking engaged again, even though there was a new front camera installed on the vehicle. We have experienced phantom AEB warnings and braking (60+ warnings w/o braking, around 10 brake activations) since owning the vehicle a little over a year now, purchased new. We took it into the dealer in May to have it addressed and they determined the AEB system was inoperable due to a defective f

After replacement and reprogramming, we picked up the vehicle and noticed a decreased sensitivity to our rear/side alerts AND ZERO forward AEB or proximity alerts of any kind. Not car, pedestrian, object or wall. Forward AEB alerts were completely disabled. Additionally, the vibrating safety seat which was previously inoperable (we assumed our car didn't have it) was on and functioning for all side/some rear alerts. We took the car back into the dealer and after 5+ days they determined it was a "faulty batch of cameras" and they replaced the front facing camera again. Today, we picked up the vehicle, being told everything was tested and reset so functioning properly- with our 3rd new forward camera. Yet, the AEB system was clearly inoperable again, zero front facing AEB/collision/proximity alerts - even though all settings 'on.' Rear alerts still seemed delayed and less accurate than before we brought the vehicle in the first time. I returned the vehicle to dealer and demonstrated again. My service rep agreed - it does not seem like it's just the front facing camera and must be a larger issue electronic issue. To date, I've been in contact with GM corporate executive team and have very little real concern or amelioration of these QC issues with the vehicle. We have spent over 20 days in the shop within 12mo. They refuse to acknowledge that there significant defect with the vehicle to warrant repurchase. Upon researching the matter online I learned it is a widespread issue and even resulted in an unsuccessful class action lawsuit. The air conditioner failures are a safety issue because the defroster does not function effectively without it. This can result in fogged windows causing impaired visibility while driving. I believe that the evaporator repair should be included in the 10 year air conditioner condenser and compressor warranty that Honda previously issued. The air conditioner is a closed system and whatever the root issues causing failures are, they don’t appear to be limited to just the two components covered under the extended warranty that Honda issued.Read more

Component or system that failed: Electric Drive System / Charging System / Software – repeated failure displaying “EV System Off” message, rendering vehicle inoperable. Description of incident: This is the second time within 30 days that my 2025 Nissan Ariya (VIN: [XXX] ) has completely shut
... down and become undriveable. On [XXX], while attempting to use a DC fast charger at Electrify America (1150 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV), the vehicle failed to begin charging. After a few attempts, the dash displayed “EV System Off” and the car could not be restarted or shifted into gear. It had to be towed again — same as the incident on [XXX], which occurred under nearly identical circumstances. Safety risk: This failure left me stranded twice, with no warning or ability to drive. Had this happened on a freeway or in a rural area, it could have been dangerous. The dealer has only reset the vehicle each time with no resolution. Reproduction and inspection: The issue was inspected by Findlay Nissan Henderson. They stated that other Ariya owners have reported similar failures, especially after using Electrify America stations, and implied it may be a compatibility issue — yet this is not publicly disclosed by Nissan. I have charged successfully at Electrify America many times before, and the same charger worked immediately after my failure. Warning signs: No warning lights appeared before the failure. The “EV System Off” message appeared suddenly after connecting to the charger. Summary: This is a critical systems failure that recurs, impacts safety, and limits reliable use of the vehicle. I request this be formally investigated for a potential design or software flaw. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Upon first cranking the vehicle, vehicle has excessive stuttering while accelerating after driving forward. Occurs after car is parked for 1 hour or more most often. Uphill, downhill, flat all the same. Acceleration causes stuttering for the first few minutes of operations. If you do not disable the
... start stop feature, prolonged stops at red lights cause the same issue and can lead to serious dangerous pretense for accidents while on the roadway. You have no ability to accelerate out of the way of harm until it smooths out. There is also an intermittent engine light that flashes until engine restart but does not record a DTC code. I suspect foul play in the ECU from VW. They are aware and tracking this issue but offer no solutions. Dealers will not service without DTC code and then it’s not repaired still. This is a severe issue for owners. Issue present for nearly a year now with no resolve.Read more

The contact owns a 2015 Kia Optima. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway, where the vehicle failed to restart. After a visual inspection, the contact observed an excessive amount of
... oil leaking from underneath the engine compartment. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with engine failure, observing a hole on the side of the engine block. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer however, the diagnosis was not yet confirmed. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V907000 (Fuel System, Gasoline, Engine), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 112,000.Read more
