The car had no warning signs showing. We were on the highway and this was the longest trip we’ve taken in this car. We were at about 100 miles into the trip, we were at mile 115 on I-95 in [XXX] coming from [XXX] . Suddenly the rubber around the tire ripped off completely, the car started to slow
... in the middle of the highway. We pulled over to the right side of the road and found the tire completely blown out. The vehicle is currently being inspected by Volvo. The Volvo dealership is currently replacing the tire and we are paying full price out of pocket. We will be in touch with continental as soon as their office opens back up on Monday. I am the original owner of a 2022 Nissan Leaf, purchased new. On the evening of Thursday, 11/20/2025 I became aware of an active recall affecting my vehicle related to a battery fire hazard when using DC fast charging stations. I only learned of this serious safety defect when attempting to trade in
... my vehicle, at which point the dealership declined to accept it due to the unresolved recall. This recall poses a significant safety risk that I was not informed about despite being registered with Nissan. I have regularly used DC fast charging stations without any knowledge that doing so could result in a fire and potential severe injury. The recall notice does not appear in my Nissan account dashboard, although two other recalls for my vehicle are properly displayed there. However, when I independently search my VIN on the NHTSA website, the recall is clearly linked to my vehicle. As a result of this defect and lack of proper notification, I now own a vehicle with reduced functionality, a documented fire risk, and diminished resale value. On the morning of Friday, 11/21/2025 I contacted Nissan's Consumer Affairs and requested that Nissan repurchase my vehicle given the severity of this safety defect and the impact on my ability to use or sell the vehicle. This morning (Monday 11/24/25) I was informed Nissan has refused to buy back my vehicle. The promptness of their reply is concerning and indicates they do not take this issue seriously. I am deeply concerned about the adequacy of Nissan's recall notification process when such a critical safety issue was never communicated to me through my registered account or other direct means. I request that NHTSA investigate why I was not properly notified of this recall despite being the registered owner, whether other affected owners may have similarly failed to receive adequate notice of this serious safety defect, and whether Nissan's refusal to repurchase my vehicle is appropriate given the circumstances.Read more

All major braking and safety systems have failed, including the parking brake, 4-wheel drive, cruise and adaptive cruise control, lane departure warnings, blind spot monitoring, and parking collision alerts. These failures occurred at the same time, and we believe there may be additional issues not
... yet identified. Our local dealership (Barry Sanders Supercenter, Stillwater, OK) attempted multiple repairs before opening a service ticket with RAM/Stellantis. We were informed the part needed to fix the problem is backordered for approximately one year. This extended delay means we must continue driving a vehicle without critical safety systems or park it indefinitely, creating both a financial and safety burden. The loss of these features greatly increases the risk of collisions, especially in bad weather or on highways where adaptive cruise, lane departure warnings, and blind spot detection are essential. Online searches show this is not an isolated issue but a recurring problem in 2025 RAM 1500 models, suggesting a broader manufacturing or design defect.Read more

I had engine issues back in 2021. I had to pay $600 for a part to be installed to fix the problem . The engine failed, the idle was violently lurching forward and would randomly Shut down. Recently the car shut down without warning again. Its scary.

I have been to the dealership on three separate occasions due to the engine misfiring. Two ignition coils have been replaced so far and I recently returned to the dealership for the same issue. This time however, not only did the engine light come on but I went from a full tank to less than a quarte
... r of a tank and the engine is making backfiring sounds. At that time the dealership said that they could not recreate the issue, I got my oil changed and went home. That was a week ago, I am back at the dealership today for the same thing; fuel dumping and backfiring sounds. While at the dealership today it turns out those backfiring noises were the fuel tank expanding so much so that it kept popping the seat up. They deemed the car unsafe to drive and it is currently at the dealership.Read more

The warning lights flash on and off, sometimes multiple times a second, sounding a loud beeping each time. It is triggered at engine start and persists through all speeds. I have experienced it 0-70 mph. The flashing lights and associated rapid beeping indicating the failure is extremely distracting
... while driving. Warning lights and warning sounds are designed to alert the driver to a potential safety issue so ignoring the lights and sounds is dangerous in the event it is a different caution/warning. However, also not ignoring it is dangerous because of the frequency of the warnings which causes the driver to look in steering panel and not paying attention on the road,Read more

The vehicle at highway speed of over 50 MPH will suddenly downshift into 1st or 2nd gear causing the tachometer to spike past 4500 RPM and the vehicle to suddenly lurched to an almost stop and shake. When this first occurred I thought I had done something since it corrected itself once I took my foo
... t off the accelerator. This has occurred on numerous occasions since that first incident and one time I had to put the vehicle into neutral to alleviate the lurching while the engine still revved up past 4000 RPM. Very nerve rattling. I am afraid this will cause an accident if I'm traveling on the highway and the vehicle suddenly slows down while I;m being followed by another vehicle. I took the vehicle to a recognized reputable transmission place who could fine nothing wrong but stated the condition sounded like a some sensor is sending erroneous information. Very frustrating to have this happen on numerous occasions and yet no issue found. I should not have to be downshifting into neutral when ever this occurs, this is also dangerous.Read more

Hybrid System Malfunction. The "Hybrid System Warning! Safely Stop and Do Not Drive" appeared on the vehicle dashboard. While traveling on the highway or in town the vehicle will want to slow down then stop. The dealership's (Wyatt Johnson Hyundai) Clarksville, TN, maintenance tech have troubleshot
... the vehicle. Since my daughter and I have owned the vehicle, it has been seen by the dealer a few times during this time a transmission replacement was completed for the Hybrid System Malfunction, which did not solve the problem and I had to pay out almost $6,000. Still, same issue arises and also, I was told by another tech that the transmission is sealed and should not have been opened. The only thing we heard from the dealer(Wyatt Johnson Hyundai) was to come and pick up the car. When my son-n-law went to pick up the vehicle, the engine was still torn apart. They said they would fix it and then let us know when it is ready to be picked up. We have not heard anything from the dealer (Wyatt Johnson Hyundai) at all, assuming they are still working on it. Until, we received a letter from Express Auto the the vehicle was towed and reported abandoned. So, I drove to Clarksville, TN and trailered the vehicle back to Las Vegas, NV to have the Hyundai techs here diagnose the vehicle.Read more

Driving down the interstate at 70mph and the vehicle suddenly began to brake and the forward collision warning light illuminated along with the check engine light. The car stopped on the interstate and this happened at 1:15 am and it was in a rural area and it was pitch black outside. Luckily no one
... plowed into the back of the car. Was able to restart the car and was barely able to get it to the side of the road before it shut down again. 6 miles to the nearest exit attempted to get the car off the highway. After several attempts and turning off every electric accessory and sensor was able to get the car to the exit. KIA toed the car to the nearest dealership the next day. They discovered that the wiring harness was chewed up in several places and caused numerous shorts circuits and malfunction codes. I own several vehicles that are parked in the same area and this is the only one that has chewed up the wiring. My daughter and 2 of the grandchildren were in the car when this happened and they could have been killed if someone had plowed into the back of them at 70+ mph. This is a 2020 Kia Sedona and I'm being told that this is not covered under warranty. There is something wrong here seeing how this only happened to this car and not my other cars nor my boat. The car is in the shop and will not be ready for a week or two and this happened more than 350 miles from my house. I have lost the use of this car and Kia refused a rental because they said it was not a warranty issue. I know Kia is having this same issue with many of their vehicles. Does it take people to die for this to be addressed? I hope not. My family could have easily been killed because of this. Luck is probably the only thing that prevented a tragedy here. The car has not been repaired yet so I don't have any documents to upload yet.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? It looks like the ECU communication to my key fob failed and the engine was shutdown while I was driving the car on the highway. Then the anti-theft system called Immobilizer kicked in and prevented
... me to start the car again. It looks like the memory of my key fob id was erased or something as my car seemed to complain that the fob was not present when it in fact it was right next to me in the center console. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was driving with my three young kids and wife and we and to shoulder the car in the highway. I was forced to shoulder the car because the engine shutdown in the middle of driving. This was highly unexpected behavior and my immediate thought was to pull to the side of the highway and take a look a the issue in a safer spot but parking at the side of a highway while other cars are driving past at 75MPH is not the safest idea. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The car was towed to a nearby KIA dealership and they have yet to take a look at it. It has been four days since the incident. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? I filed a complaint with KIA on Sunday and called today, they said they are escalating the issue but we have not heard any changes. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? There were no warnings prior to the incident, the dashboard lights turned off and an indicator light showed the immobilizer mode was on.Read more
