SOME COMBINATION LAMPS THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED WITH AMBER SIDE REFLECTORS FAIL TO CONFORM TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 108, LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT.

FORD REPORTS TREAD SEPARATION CAN OCCUR DUE TO A COMBINATION OF THE SENSITIVITY OF THE TIRE DESIGN TO STRESS, AGING, AND MANUFACTURING DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PLANTS. FORD IS REPLACING THESE TIRES TO PREVENT POSSIBLE PREMATURE TIRE FAILURE. THE WIRE HARNESS FOR THE POWER LUMBAR FEATURE ON THE SEAT IS UNDERNEATH THE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SUPPORT WIRES. THE SUPPORT WIRES ON THE DRIVER SEAT CAN CONTACT AND DAMAGE THE INSULATION HARNESS RESULTING IN A HIGH RESISTANCE ELECTRICAL SHORT THROUGH THE SUPPORT WIRES.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE SEATS ON THE AFFECTED VEHICLES. IF NO DAMAGE IS FOUND, THE DRIVER SEAT WIRE HARNESS WILL BE COVERED WITH A PROTECTIVE CONVOLUTE TUBING, WRAPPED WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE AND THE HARNESS WILL BE REROUTED. IF DAMAGE IS FOUND, THE WIRE HARNESS WILL BE REPLACED.

IN MARCH OF 2014 I PURCHASED A SET OF TIRES FROM TREADWRIGHT TIRES WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME I NOTICED THE SIDE WALLS CRACKING , BEFORE I COULD GET ANY RESPONSE I HAD A BLOW OUT ON MY RIGHT FROM TIRE AT 60 MPH, I WENT THROUGH TWO MORE SETS WITH THE SAME RESULTS OF SIDE WALL CRACKING BUT NO BLOW OUTS I AM NOW ON MY FOURTH SET , THEY ARE A DIFFERENT MODEL TIRE BUT I AM NOW HAVING A BAD VIBRATION SOME WHAT LIKE I HAD JUST BEFORE THE BLOW OUT ON THE FIRST TIRE SET. THE BRAKES FAILED WHILE PULLING A 12,000 POUND FIFTH WHEEL CAMPER. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING DOWNHILL. THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE TRUCK WOULD NOT STOP. DRIVER USED THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE TO STOP THE TRUCK. THIS WAS DUE TO A FROZEN BRAKE CABLE. THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED AT OWNER'S COST. THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE. SOME OF THESE FAILURES HAVE CREATED SITUATIONS OF TRANSMSISSION FLUID BOILING OUT OF DIPSTICK TUBE AND DROPPING DOWN ON EXHAUST. VERY GOOD POTENTIAL FOR OIL FIRE WHEN TRANSMISSION FLUID BOILED OUT AND VEHICLE WAS SMOKING FROM FLUID DROPPING ON EXHAUST. HAVE CHECKED WITH ATRA {AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REBUILDERS ASSOCIATION} AND THEY HAVE CONCLUDED THAT THIS PARTICULAR TRANSMISSION{E4OD} HAS BEEN VERY TROUBLESOME WITH HIGH FAILURE RATE. CHECKING WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES AND INVESTIGATIVE COMPANIES THAT INVESTIGATE VEHICLE FIRES TO SEE IF THERE ARE MANY FIRES RELATING TO THIS TRANSMISSION FAILURE IN FORDS TRANSMISSIONS MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 1989 THRU 1997.

IT IS EXTREMLY HARD TO STOP WITHOUT A CLUTCH
