My vehicle previously had the tie rod issue repaired under the original recall\. However, the same problem has now returned\. I am experiencing a sharp/clunking noise when turning left while the vehicle is moving, which is very concerning because this involves the vehicle’s steering and suspension
... \. I checked Nissan’s recall information online using my VIN, and it currently states that there are no open recalls\. However, I have only had this issue repaired **once**, under the original recall, and the same problem is happening again\. I am concerned that the original recall repair did not permanently correct the problem, or that the replacement component may have developed the same defect\. I do not believe that simply showing “no open recalls” should prevent Nissan from investigating a recurring safety\-related defect that was previously repaired under a recall\. I am requesting that Nissan: 1. Review my vehicle’s complete recall and repair history\. 2. Investigate why the same tie rod/steering problem has returned after the recall repair\. 3. Determine whether the replacement part or repair procedure is defective or insufficient\. 4. Provide a repair at no cost to me if this is related to the previously recalled defect\. 5. Explain what Nissan recommends to ensure the vehicle is safe to drive\. Because this issue involves the steering system, I consider it a serious safety concern\. I would appreciate having this matter escalated to Nissan’s Customer Relations/Safety department and receiving a written response regarding how Nissan intends to address the recurring problem\. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter\.Read more

Re: Driver Safety Downgrade Stemming from Recent Software Update Complicating Tire Pressure Display Accessibility I am writing as the owner of a 2025 Kia Niro HEV to express my concerns regarding a recent software update that altered how tire pressure information is accessed on the instrument clust
... er. Prior to the update, tire pressures were available through the steering wheel page button, allowing drivers to view this safety-critical information with a single press and a quick glance. After the update, the tire pressure screen was removed from the page sequence and relocated into a deeper Vehicle Information submenu that requires multiple button presses and menu navigation. This change has created a significant safety issue. Tire pressure can only be displayed while the vehicle is in motion, yet the update now requires the driver to divert attention from the road to navigate several screens in order to access it. This is a clear regression from a human factors and safety standpoint. The previous method was intuitive, efficient and aligned with safe driving practices. The new method increases cognitive load and driver distraction at precisely the moment when attention should remain on the road. I respectfully request that Kia reevaluate this change and consider restoring tire pressure visibility to the steering wheel page button or another single-action, high-visibility location. Tire pressure is not a secondary diagnostic item; it is essential real‑time safety information that should remain immediately accessible. I appreciate Kia’s commitment to innovation, but updates that alter established safety workflows should be communicated clearly and designed to not be at odds with a driver's attention to the road. I hope Kia will take this feedback seriously and consider adjustments in future software releases. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

After coming to a complete stop at a stop sign or stop light, then trying to go, the vehicle will stall. It will not go when given gas. The first time it happened, I was at a busy intersection with oncoming traffic coming towards me with the pedal to the floor, nothing would happen for 5-10 seconds.
... It was terrifying. Thank god the car coming towards us went around in time. It then happened again in my neighborhood a week later. Thankfully that time I wasn’t in traffic. I have noted that it seems to happen when very hot outside (Florida July summer) and air is on full blast. Also seems to be happening only during the first trip of the day, within the first 5-10 minutes of said trip. The dealership has not been able to recreate this to see for themselves. I think it would have to be with them overnight and they start it/drive it for the first time that day. It has now happened a total of 3 times since I’ve been driving it (2.5 months). I have 3 children and very worried I will get t-boned one day when it stalls next. I love my car so much so it’s heartbreaking that I have to drive it in fear. No lights/warnings/messages when this happens.Read more

On 05/31/2026, while Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD) was actively engaged, the vehicle was taking the La Brea Avenue entrance ramp onto the I-10 freeway in Los Angeles, CA. FSD suddenly accelerated aggressively and the vehicle drifted hard to the left without any driver steering input. The driver was
... forced to hit the brakes and manually override steering to prevent a serious accident. The behavior felt like a system glitch. Both driver-side wheels sustained severe impact damage and are confirmed cracked. Tesla Service Center confirmed the damage in writing on 06/08/2026 and quoted $2,325.74 in repairs. This dangerous FSD behavior matches the pattern currently under active NHTSA engineering analysis.Read more

While operating my truck under normal driving conditions, the check engine warning light suddenly illuminated without warning. Due to concerns about potential vehicle reliability and safety, I immediately brought the vehicle to the dealership for diagnosis and inspection. After evaluating the vehic
... le, the dealership stated that diagnostic trouble codes were present and that additional analysis of the system would be required. The vehicle remained at the dealership for approximately one week before being returned to me. Upon release of the vehicle, the dealership advised that the issue was related to multiple erroneous codes and that a software update had been performed. However, the dealership did not provide a clear explanation as to why the codes were generated, what systems were affected, or whether the condition could reoccur. I was also not provided with a complete accounting of all diagnostic trouble codes identified during the inspection. I am concerned that the dealership failed to provide full transparency regarding the diagnosis and repairs performed on this vehicle. The repair order documentation was limited in detail and appeared to omit important information regarding the discovered fault codes and the full scope of work completed. Because modern vehicle systems rely heavily on electronic control modules and software for engine operation and safety-related functions, I am requesting that NHTSA document and review this issue for potential underlying electronic or software-related defects that may affect vehicle reliability and safety.Read more

The exact failed component is unknown to me at this time, but the issue appears related to the vehicle’s electrical system. Prior to the incident, I received a charging error notification while the vehicle was plugged in. I unplugged the charger from the wall outlet, waited briefly, and plugged it
... back in. Later that same day, the vehicle entered a no-start condition and would not start despite repeated attempts over approximately two hours. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle left me stranded at night for approximately two hours without warning. Because the vehicle would not start, I was unable to reliably move or operate the vehicle. Depending on location, weather conditions, surrounding traffic, and other circumstances or emergency situations, this type of failure could place occupants and other drivers at risk. Additionally, I previously reported a separate safety-related incident involving this same vehicle in February 2026 in which the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated in my daughter’s daycare parking lot. This has not been reproduced. The vehicle unexpectedly started and operated again at approximately the same time the tow truck arrived, after remaining inoperable for roughly two hours. Because the issue resolved itself without repair, it’s not clear what the root cause is. The vehicle has not yet been inspected. The vehicle has remained garaged following the incident pending further evaluation and communication with Ford. There were some warnings. Prior to operating the vehicle that evening, I received a charging error notification while the vehicle was plugged in. After unplugging and reconnecting the charger, the vehicle later experienced the no-start condition. During the incident, the vehicle provided no clear indication through the vehicle interface or mobile app explaining why it would not start, only “Stop safely now.”Read more

On May 7, 2026 while driving approximately 18 mph, my Ford Bronco 2022 Outerbanks experienced a sudden loss of normal braking assist. The brake pedal became stuck in the upright position requiring excessive force to stop the vehicle. When the brake pedal went down the truck rolled to the curb and I
... put it in park. There was a warning sign on the dash that flashed and went away. I could not see what it was. Luckily there were no bystanders or other cars on the road at the time. I was near an elementary school at the time. This would have caused a crash or worse if there were pedestrians. I turned the truck off and called the tow. At the dealership they diagnosed and confirmed an electronic brake booster (EBB) failure. This EBB failure mirrors a recent recall from Ford affecting 2025 Broncos. The dealership has refused warranty because I am 6 months outside the warranty period even though I only have 29,960 miles. This is not normal wear and tear. The 2025 recall # is 25V488. This EBB recall may also affect previous years such as mine and should be investigated.Read more

I am experiencing multiple unresolved defects with my 2026 Chevrolet Equinox affecting drivability, braking behavior, and vehicle structure/fit and finish. The primary issue is a persistent vibration, shimmy, or wobble during moderate acceleration from a stop. This condition is felt through the stee
... ring wheel, seat, and floor, and occurs consistently during low‑speed launch and normal acceleration. In addition, the vehicle produces a snapping or grunting noise during hard braking, as well as rough and loud movement noises from underneath the vehicle during normal operation, which raises concerns about braking and drivetrain integrity. There are also body and interior fitment defects. The front passenger door does not sit flush with the rear door panel and appears slightly open when closed. The dealership service manager stated that correcting this condition would require removing and pulling the rear door panel outward so both doors align. The glove box door also does not sit flush when closed, and the service manager advised that replacement might make the condition worse. These concerns were reported to an authorized Chevrolet dealer. The dealer confirmed that General Motors has acknowledged the acceleration vibration condition in a Preliminary Information service bulletin (PIT6466) affecting 2025–2026 Equinox vehicles and advised that GM engineering is investigating the issue and that no repair is currently available. The combination of drivability issues, abnormal noises during braking, underbody movement sensations, and body misalignment affects the use, value, and safety perception of the vehicle. The vehicle has very low mileage, and several of these issues have been present since early ownership. I am submitting this complaint to document these conditions and request that NHTSA monitor potential powertrain, braking, suspension, and vehicle structure concerns if a defect trend exists. All of these defects have been acknowledged by the Dealership Service DeptRead more

While traveling on a highway at approximately 70 mph, the vehicle experienced a sudden and severe loss of motive power. At the same time, the dashboard illuminated multiple warning lights simultaneously and the vehicle entered limp mode without warning. The vehicle rapidly decelerated and was unable
... to maintain speed with surrounding traffic. This created an immediate and serious safety hazard and nearly resulted in a collision, as vehicles behind were approaching at highway speed. The driver was forced to make an emergency maneuver to reach the shoulder and stop to avoid a crash. After this incident, the vehicle was parked and not driven. Several days later, the vehicle would start and shift normally, but would not move in Drive, Reverse, or any gear. The gear selector moves and the gear indicator changes, but the vehicle does not engage or move at all. The engine revs normally with no propulsion. This condition is consistent and reproducible. The failure appears to involve the continuously variable transmission (CVT) or an internal drivetrain component. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This defect posed a significant risk to the safety of the driver and other motorists due to the sudden loss of propulsion at highway speed and the inability to safely maintain speed or clear traffic. The later total loss of drive further increases the risk of becoming stranded in unsafe locations such as roadways or intersections. A Honda dealership was contacted but did not provide a resolution. No repairs have been performed. No collision occurred. No police report filed.Read more

The touchscreen for the main infotainment system is becoming unresponsive. It’s impossible to use the most basic functions while driving without being distracted. It’s caused me to swerve & almost lose control of the vehicle on multiple occasions— as it distracted me from driving because initi
... ally the screen had spotty functionality (without any sort of warning, so it seemed like user error). There is currently a service notice from Mitsubishi sent out to all owners of Outlander and Outlander Sports (MY 2020 thru 2022) to replace these units under warranty because of a manufacturing defect. My vehicle is eligible for this, and I’m on the wait list, but that’s the where the bigger problem begins: My local Mitsubishi dealership estimated a 4 month wait period — this was back on 5/9/25; it’s now 11/17/25 so it’s actually been over 6 months. Given that they never called me since May, I called them last week to check the status and they said they do not have an estimated time frame for when the infotainment unit will be replaced. A little research online shows this problem is widespread; consumer websites and other general forums have plenty of people detailing similar experiences with this problem and frustration with how Mitsubishi is handling it. To make matters worse, there is only one way to contact Mitsubishi Motors (aside from the dealership) — it’s the basic customer service USA phone number. I have not talked to anyone there because they simply do not answer. And there are no email addresses available either. I sincerely believe this issue needs to be addressed as a safety recall, as it is obviously a distraction while driving and needs to be taken with more priority. The fact they act like they are volunteering to fix this problem, and at their own leisurely pace, is wrong and grounds for a class action lawsuit. This is not about money — this is about people’s safety, and stopping a company from doing whatever they want without any sort of accountability.Read more

... vehicle and removed the lug nut cover from the rear right tire — the one that was serviced during my appointment. To my shock, two lug nuts came off with the cover, and two others were not even screwed in. This is absolutely unacceptable and extremely dangerous. The wheel could have come off while I was driving, which could have led to a catastrophic accident. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I leased a 2023 Audi A4 with 0 miles. At ~10,000 miles my car automatically shut down electronically I have photo evidence of this. This happened again recently at ~45,000 miles, I almost got into a severe car accident and possibly died. This happened on the highway driving in the left lane. I tried
... to remedy this situation before and was ignored by Aud's service center. I am scared I can die on the road and am taking in the car for repeat service tomorrow.Read more

There is a known issue on 2015 Chevy Colorado where the vehicles lose power steering. There was a recall issued by GM on 2015 Colorado. I contacted GM to inform them that I believe the same issue extends to 2016 Colorado as my vehicle is experiencing the same issue. I purchased my vehicle in Octob
... er 2015 so its one for the first 2016 Colorado vehicles built. I lose power steering while driving at any speed and any condition, which is a safety concern. It is hard to control the machine when this happens. I believe the issue is electrical related as cycling the key switch clears the fault and allows normal operation until the next event occurs. GM said they were not issuing a recall on the 2016 models.Read more
