Incident date: Mar 4, 2026
I am writing to formally document a serious and extremely concerning safety incident that occurred on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at approximately 12:06 PM while driving my 2024 Jeep Wagoneer, which currently has approximately 58,000 miles. While driving, multiple critical warning lights and system fa
... ilure messages appeared simultaneously. I have attached photos documenting the warnings that occurred during the incident. Service Power Steering • ABS warning • Red steering wheel with exclamation mark • Check Engine Light • Collision / Auto Emergency Braking warning • Traction Control / Electronic Stability Control Warning • Forward Collision Warning / Automatic Emergency Braking Disabled During this event, the vehicle behavior became unpredictable and unsafe. Considering the failure of multiple safety systems at once, this created a situation that could have easily resulted in a serious accident. I am extremely shaken by the experience and thankful that my four children were not in the vehicle with me at the time. Unfortunately, this incident is part of a long list of issues I have experienced with this vehicle since purchasing it. These include: Persistent check engine light issues • Replacement of all third-row seatbelts due to defects • Oil valve replacement (Code P06D – Oil Pump Control Stuck High) • Multiple software updates • The vehicle shifting itself into park when coming to a stop, with the gear dial locking and requiring the vehicle to be fully shut off and restarted before it can be driven again • Driver window intermittently sticking • Replacement of the passenger seat massage system due to an air bladder malfunction • Vehicle jolting/jumping when coming to a stop Given the number of ongoing mechanical and electronic problems, I no longer feel confident that this vehicle is safe to drive. I purchased this vehicle specifically for the safety and reliability.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding my 2023 Jeep Wagoneer, which I have owned for approximately 1.5 years. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have experienced repeated and ongoing mechanical failures, primarily involving the fuel injection system and chronic battery drainage. The vehicle has been take
... n to the dealership for fuel‑related issues more than five times. During these visits, the fuel pump was replaced, but the problems continued. The vehicle repeatedly triggered check‑engine lights related to the fuel system. At one point, the dealership bypassed or cleared the check‑engine indicator without resolving the underlying problem. After this, the vehicle began performing noticeably differently, including a significant drop in fuel efficiency—going from approximately 18 MPG to around 14 MPG. In addition to the fuel system defects, the vehicle has had persistent battery issues. The battery drains unexpectedly and frequently dies without warning. Even after replacing the battery, the new battery lasted only about three months before the same drainage problems began again. The vehicle will randomly shut down or stop functioning correctly until another battery replacement is performed. These issues raise serious concerns about the safety, reliability, and overall drivability of the vehicle. The repeated failures of both the fuel system and electrical/battery system pose potential safety hazards while driving and have made the vehicle unreliable for normal use. I am requesting that NHTSA review these recurring problems, as they appear to indicate systemic defects affecting vehicle performance and safety.Read more

Assessment of Ongoing Mechanical & Safety Issues – 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer To Whom It May Concern, I am providing a clear, factual assessment of the ongoing issues with my 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which I purchased for $108,000 and have owned for less than two years. During this time, I have e
... xperienced twelve separate mechanical and functional failures, several of which have rendered the vehicle undriveable for prolonged periods. Below is a summary of the major issues that continue to impact the reliability, safety, and usability of this vehicle. 1. Seat / Massage Mechanism Defect (Ongoing for Months) A malfunction in the seat massage system has created a large, hard protrusion in the driver’s seat. This defect has resulted in significant back pain, requiring both urgent care and follow-up medical evaluation. I have now been diagnosed with sciatica, which my physician has indicated is likely related to prolonged pressure and improper spinal support caused by the seat malfunction. Two dealerships have confirmed the issue and ordered the replacement part months ago, yet the part delivery has been repeatedly delayed, most recently to January 6, 2026. This has affected my ability to safely and comfortably operate the vehicle, and has now escalated into a documented medical issue. 2. Suspension Noise During Auto-Leveling The vehicle’s air suspension system produces extremely loud noises during auto-adjustments. This raises concerns regarding the safety and structural integrity of the suspension system. 3. Window Hinge Failure A window hinge has prematurely failed, requiring service intervention. This is not consistent with typical wear for a vehicle less than two years old. 4. Cruise Control Malfunction The cruise control system intermittently ceases functioning while driving. The only way to restore it is to turn the vehicle off and restart it, which presents a safety concern when traveling at highway speeds. This points to a possible electrical orRead more

On October 20, 2025, at approximately 2:00 PM, while driving on the highway to pick up my children from school, the driver-side back cushion (airbag/cushion system) in my seat unexpectedly deployed or inflated with significant force, striking my back. The impact was strong enough to leave a visible
... mark, which I have documented with photographs. As a result, I experienced immediate back pain and was at serious risk of losing control of the vehicle due to the sudden and forceful nature of the incident. I immediately contacted my doctor’s office following the incident. My physician confirmed that the injury was consistent with trauma caused by the seat mechanism. I then contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. I was instructed to drop off the vehicle and leave the keys in an envelope. On the morning of October 21, 2025, I received a text message from the dealership indicating an initial estimate of $117.65. I called the dealership to request a written report of their findings and to inquire whether there were any recalls or service bulletins related to this issue. I was informed that no recalls or service bulletins existed and that I would be required to pay for further evaluation. The dealership declined to take responsibility for the issue and also stated they could not provide a written report. As of this date, the vehicle remains at the dealership with no resolution, updates, or further communication provided. This is a serious safety concern that requires immediate attention and proper documentation.Read more

For each occurrence, the vehicle was serviced at the dealership and reassurances were provided each time that the underlying issue was remedied with reprogramming and/or replacement of electrical control modules, however the recurrent nature of the issue (and many other issues surrounding the electrical system in my Grand Wagoneer) doesn't instill confidence in the "fix" they're providing. We the dealership technician had the vehicle for a repair, he was driving it back-and-forth to work like he owned the car and one day He was leaving his home to go to work and the suspension failed so that had to be fixed and that was back on one of the many time it was in the shop. The stop/sta
... rt engine doesn’t engage for me when I break for me. For me to get it to engage I have to slam on the break as if I was bracing for an accident and then the stop/star engine mode will engage. I think this vehicle has had five clusters replaced in the car, due to the parking sensors, side warning sensors not working. I believe the fifth one went in Dec 2024 once again. The vehicle was in the shop from November 22, 2024 until yesterday DecemberI 2, 2024 when I picked it up. I got home and the parking sensors didn’t beep off and I could’ve crashed it into my garage door and I went through the system and it was already selected to beep but didn’t, then I started getting a message saying that the side warning sensors are unavailable. I put it in reverse it tells me the wipers are off, so maybe all the clusters that they’re making are faulty. The Jeep Retention Customer Service even sent a specialist, technician assistant to the dealership twice or three times to deal with this issue and it’s still not fixed. The dealership Service Center has put in request for answers of how to fix these problems and have had to wait weeks for answers because they don’t know the answers of how to fix the problems with these vehicles and they send a specialist and still the problems still occur they say put in a new cluster a new cluster gets put in the problem still happens. The part is shipped directly from a manufacturer and they have no ETA on that part and my car would still be in the shop, but the Jeep Retention Customer Service Rep had it expedited but the problem is still ongoing. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS CAR AND PEOPLE SHOULD GET THEIR MONEY BACKRead more
