2016 Mazda MX5 club: In warmer weather(70 degree F or higher) and after driving for 5+ miles, the steering becomes less sensitive and gets “stuck/sticky” and requires more force to turn. When applied more force the car over corrects and you swerve cause the amount of force you needed to apply.
... Seems like something in the steering rack expands with heat which then creates friction which you have to overcome to continue driving. Seems like it’s becoming more of a issues the more people driveRead more

There has been a NHTSA recall for AWD module on 2021 and some newer Bronco sports. The letter in reference to this problem dates 4/9/2021 to include only certain VIN at the time based on manufacturing sites. I feel there has been an underestimation of vehicles/parts affected on this recall based on
... the fact that it included very limited vehicles only 4 month into production. There have been several more known to be experiencing this same exact issues as evidenced by many reviews online by bronco sport owners experiencing the same problem. Specifically detailing the triggering of same codes (mentioned in this letter) leading to faulty AWD module diagnosis and replacement at the owners cost. I have reached out to Ford North America to file a claim and have been told my VIN is not included, without even comparing with specific part serial number. In addition, I have found the part #LX6Z-7P238-AANP as replacement referred in the letter has now recently been replaced with a newer more expensive version with a different name and part number M1PZ*7P238*C. I also find it significant that the old part is still for sale at a now discounted price on ford OEM website as of today. I believe this indicates there are known problems with this original part causing need for an updated replacement. Given this evidence l, I feel it is only fair that Ford acknowledges vehicles with the same problem/part are experiencing these issues and be willing to extend the recall. I have reached out to North American Ford and have a claim #Cxh-07823745-c2n6y4. In hopes that they will do what’s right for this customer and replace at no charge, aware that it is defective. My vehicle is currently at the dealership and I am hoping for a fair resolution. Thank you for your time and attention.Read more

I purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse with 6 miles on it. I keep my vehicle in mint condition and maintenance as needed and required. Recently in the past few months my car has been bucking when shifting gear engages in an automatic transmission. I took to dealership, and they stated it was the torque
... converter, and my vehicle has exactly 20,270 miles only. Not even passed the 36,000 marks but over 36 months. I bought an extended warranty thru Dealership which now sending someone to dealership to verify that this is infact a torque problem which were found 2017 and 2019 but not 2018 is hard to believe. They will be keeping it for 7 days and already had a recall for 2017 and 2019 so are they stating it only occurred in those years, and they fix the 2017 but then it skipped 2018 and jumped to 2019. Why have I not received any recalls since I buy most of the GMC vehicles and lived in the same home for 35 years. Its awfully strange that I never receive any recalls when I owned Silverado truck, Savana High Top Van with special needs lift, Pontiac Torrent, Chevy Traverse. The warning lane change or the blindspot warning shut off too. Was told to wash the window on the front and on the camera back and did not clear the sensors. Was told to check transmission fluid and it was fine and I do oil changes since my dad taught us every 2500 -3000 depending on driving and if only little mileage check it anyway monthly with the dip stick. Like I stated I keep my car in mint condition and safety is number one issue in family due to the special needs son riding in it.Read more

Okay, I'm going to try my best at explaining what I am experiencing. This is my SECOND Hyundai Accent. The first car I had was a 2004 Accent. The second car I have now is a 2015. Both cars have the same exact problem. And I am NOT fixing it. This is definitely a MANUFACTURING ERROR. It's so dangero

I need to check the oil every (at the most) 2 weeks because of how badly oil is just burning up. Also, there is a "Check Engine" code being thrown for something small in the EVAP System. Same cars, 11 years apart. Same problems!? I don't think that is right WHATSOEVER. I have researched ongoing recalls & expired recalls. To my disappointment, I find NOTHING. This is a MAJOR ISSUE. There is absolutely zero irony in 2 cars, being 11 years apart, newer one being a 6 speed manual, having the SAME ISSUES EXACTLY. I was so happy to get a newer one, thinking, "oh there can't be possibly anything wrong with this model". WRONG. Absolutely, positively NO CAR should have to dump almost 5 quarts of oil in your car every 1000 miles or less. I constantly need to buy 1 or 2 quarts of oil BIWEEKLY for this 2015 Hyundai Accent. I can't just get rid of it, cars are expensive! This is absolutely the manufacturers problem. So I am going above their heads to get this taken care of. Monday, I want to try and call Hyundai, either the one near me, or some "hotline". This is unacceptable. My car will show that "low oil pressure" light and my heart just drops. My check engine light came on and stayed on, while the oil light appeared when my car was in idle and the engine began to knock. My AAA approved mechanic determined that the engine had a rod knock and the oil pressure at idle was only 3 psi. In other words, the the engine had completely failed and w
... ould have to be replaced. At 36,000 miles !I had the car towed to the local dealership where they confirmed this diagnosis and noted excessive metal debris in the oil and oil pan. My research revealed that an identical engine manufacturing defect had resulted in a class action suit against Hyundai which was settled in 2018. Hyundai was forced to replace the engines with new ones and cover all the owners costs for 3.9 million complainants. They also suffered a huge fine by the NHTSA. Because of Covid lockdowns, I had driven my car very little in 2020, otherwise this catastrophic failure would have occurred well within the the 5 year warranty period. As it was, the warranty had expired approximately 4 months earlier. The dealership contacted Hyundai N.A. and I was offered a "goodwill offer" which allowed me to pay over $3200 for a reconditioned engine with a warranty of only 1 year or 12,000 miles. It is my contention that no reputable car manufacturer would consider an engine life of only 36,000 miles to be acceptable. There is no question that the engine failure was, in any way, my fault and I have the maintenance records to prove it. My "goodwill offer" expired and I towed my car home. Of course, I was fortunate that my engine did not fail on the freeway, at high speed, or burst into flames as some Hyundai engines have been known to do.Read more

1 YEAR AFTER PURCHASING CAR, I HAD A CHECK ENGINE SENSOR SHOW UP. I TOOK IT IN AND A DIAGNOSTIC TEST SHOWED AN O2 SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. I REPLACED IT AND THE PART WAS DEFECTIVE, SO I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY REPLACED IT AGAIN, AFTER WHICH IT APPEARED TO BE FINE. THEN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS LATER, I
... T BEGAN TO RUN POORLY AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND SEEMED TO NOT BE GETTING FUEL OR OXYGEN OR SOMETHING. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AND ENDED UP HAVING A CATALYTIC CONVERTER PUT IT FOR OVER $500. IT RAN FINE FOR MAYBE A MONTH AFTER AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN, IT WAS RUNNING POORLY AGAIN, LOSING POWER ALMOST STALLING OUT WHEN PUSHING ACCELERATOR, IT SMELLED LIKE BURNT OIL. I HAD OIL CHECKED AND CHANGED 3 TIMES DURING THE TIME THIS ALL WAS HAPPENING TOO BECAUSE OF THE SMELL OF BURNING OIL. EACH TIME THE OIL CHANGE WAS DONE THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN SAID IT APPEARED NOT O HAVE BEEN CHANGED BECAUSE IT WAS BLACK AND BURNT AND LOW, WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE, DUE TO HOW FREQUENTLY I WAS HAVING IT CHECKED AND CHANGED NOT KNOWING WHAT ELSE TO DO!!! ULTIMATELY, ON MY WAY TO MY PARENTS HOUSE THE ENGINE BLEW AND SMOKE POURED OUT FROM UNDER IT AND IT WOULD NOT RUN AGAIN AND IT APPEARED TO BE BURNING. UPON INSPECTION THERE WAS A HOLE MELTED INTO THE ENGINE BLOCK!!!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS VEHICLES PERFORMANCE. I HAD THE VEHICLE FROM 2017 TO MARCH OF 2020, STILL OWE MONEY ON IT AND CANNOT DRIVE IT OR AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED. THIS ENGINE FAILURE WAS NOT MY FAULT OR DUE TO MY FAILURE TO PROPERLY CAR FOR THE CAR. THIS IS A HYUNDAI ISSUE AND IT IS TIME SOMEONE BE MADE AWARE THAT THIS HAPPENED TO WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A LIFE LONG CONSUMER, BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!!Read more
