Rear back up camera turns on when in drive or in park and when in reverse I’ll get a blue screen that will stay on till I turn the car off
The car will not shift. The bushing or shift cable is broken.
Coolant intrusion, motor destroyed by coolant due to faulty ford design
I have a 2019 Ford Fusion hybrid titanium, and it is exhibiting issues of a recall that Ford has issued for my year making model. But not specifically for my Vin. The recall is for the A.P.I.M. module and is a software glitch that although leave the infotainment system with a black or blank screen or right after using the backup camera, the backup camera will stay on the screen for some time and it states on the recall that it is a safety concern due to being a distraction for the driver on top of that, it will not remember any device I pair to it via Bluetooth, it will not remember navigation presets or any destinations I previously routed to with the navigation system. Every time I turn my car on for some reason it starts the navigation system with the route to my parents address. Also sometimes the screen will be unresponsive and unusable untill next ignition cycle. It kills my 12v battery because the screen will stay on after vehicle is turned off. This happens every ignition cycle
This 2019 Ford Fusion (2.0L EcoBoost, 6F35 transmission) has had THREE identical flexplate/flywheel failures (GSAR code 6375), each diagnosed by a different Ford-authorized dealer. FAILURE 1 (Nov 2021, 51k mi): Lost power at highway speed on interstate. Coasted to stop, would not restart. Broken flexplate. Ford repaired under warranty, reimbursed all expenses. FAILURE 2 (May 2022, 59k mi): Would not start, starter whined. Same diagnosis - broken flexplate. Ford repaired under warranty, reimbursed all expenses. FAILURE 3 (Feb 2026, 133k mi): Broke down on busy road. Police responded with emergency lights until tow arrived. Same diagnosis - broken flexplate, free spinning. Ford REFUSES repair despite confirming Customer Satisfaction Program 22N12 applies to this vehicle. SAFETY: Each failure causes sudden complete loss of drivetrain function with no warning. Failure 1 was at highway speed. Failure 3 required police response on a busy thoroughfare. The manufacturer issued CSP 22N12 acknowledging this defect. A manufacturer rep confirmed on 3/20/2026 that the program applies to this vehicle, then refused coverage citing mileage. The flexplate part was revised (suffix D to E) between failures, indicating the manufacturer knew the original design was defective. Three dealers, three techs, identical diagnosis each time. Vehicle is at dealer, available for inspection.
Dealer diagnosed coolant intrusion into cylinder 2, confirmed through a pressure test and borescope inspection. The dealer referenced TSB 19-2346.
Coolant leaking into cylinders on my 2019 Ford Fusion 1.5L EcoBoost—white smoke, rough idle, and wont start now. Ford's 21N12 program expired before I could get it fixed. Tons of owners report the same; it's a safety hazard.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V440000 (Electrical System), and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the interim repair was performed because the final remedy was not yet available. However, upon following up with the dealer, the dealer informed the contact that the recall was marked as completed. The manufacturer was contacted and informed the contact that the vehicle recall history confirmed that the dealer had only performed the recall interim repair. The contact filed a complaint against the dealer with the manufacturer. The manufacturer informed the contact that the dealer would be contacted to correct the issue. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The contact had not experienced a failure.
2019 Ford Fusion equipped with the 1.5L EcoBoost engine has experienced overheating and misfire issues, linked coolant intrusion into the engine cylinders, which can lead to engine overheating and potential fire hazards. This is a KNOWN issue by Ford but they have not issued a recall, or even let me know in the 6 years that I have had the vehicle.

Hello, The car has 55000 miles right now, It has shifting problem from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear. I dropped it at the Ford Dealership (Koons Ford Woodbridge, Woodbridge, VA 22193). The Dealership informed me that the vehicle is not covered Under and warranty or Customer Satisfaction Program. The symptoms on my vehicle are same as of Bulletin 22N12, the manufacturing plant is also the same as mentioned in bulletin 22N12, but neither the dealership nor the Ford Customer Service is helping me out. The dealership told me to get the vehicle repaired first and wait if the vehicle ever falls in the warranty and I will be reimbursed. If am looking for help to resolve this matter. Thank you
Vehicle has a known Ford 2.0L EcoBoost coolant intrusion / head gasket defect per multiple complaints on different forums on recently googled searches. At approximately 126,000 miles, vehicle began losing coolant with no visible external leaks, producing white smoke on startup, rough idle/misfires, and check engine light. Vehicle also began overheating intermittently. Heating system stopped working, indicating coolant flow failure. Symptoms are consistent with internal coolant intrusion into cylinders due to head gasket failure, a widely reported defect in Ford EcoBoost engines. Issue presents a safety risk due to potential engine failure while driving, loss of power, and overheating. Vehicle requires major engine repair or replacement. This failure occurred despite regular maintenance and appears to be a premature engine defect, not wear and tear. I was recently at the dealership on December 8th with no other issues detected after they replaced a part on my car that failed that I had to pay for ( a P175B-00 ). This had nothing to do with what is going on currently, they ran tests at this dealership and did not detect anything as of December 8th. This was at a ford dealership. Tests were ran and inspected by manufacturer. Fast forward to a week ago I started having the above symptoms and this was diagnosed by family-friend auto mechanic. I have had multiple issues with this car. The transmission blew at 50 thousand miles, the sun roof leaked ( the seal for the sunroof was defective) into my prnd control shifter causing thousands of dollars in damage, a P175B-00, causing my car to not be able to park, causing chaos for weeks. I have only owned this car since December 2020. I still owe 7 thousand on this vehicle and I am at a complete loss. I really just want ford to take accountability for this make and model as it never fits the guidelines for recalls on anything. I want justice for myself and others with these multiple issues coming from ford cars.
My daughters’s 2019 ford fusion/4dr sdn/sel/fwd began to run hot and my son checked and notice low on coolant. He filled back up and vehicle ran with no problems. A day or so later noticed again and my husband checked again and realized again and low again and checked all and no apparant leak in lines or hoses but short drive again to check it began to overheat and check engine light came on and he read up and becoming aware of issue with this coolant leak into cylinder. He took to Sullivan Ford dealership and confirmed pressure test of coolant in cylinder # 1 and had to replace engine assembly. No offer by Ford to assist. Total cost 10,115.66 For know issue per faulty engine design that was risk for fire and safety issue.

Engine diagnosed with coolant intrusion problem into the engine cylinders. Car failed at 138k needing 12k repair from Ford dealership which is more than the value of the car. Transmission shifter bushing went out also in this car even though Ford did a recall for previous years of the model the issue has not been fixed.

Backup camera keeps going blank with a blue screen also back up camera stays on for a few seconds while driving then the screen turns blue having to do a soft factory reset to the system. Transmission shifts prematurely or kicks down weird. Shifting from park to drive makes a klunk and clicking sound not smooth or quiet at all.

Known issue with flex plate: rattle noise that gets progressively worse over time and especially when in colder weather, the cold start & when idling causes the rattle noise to be worse, over the past two years the rattle noise is still there but now with some vibration as well. In 2023, took in to ford dealership & told rattle noise was normal & not significant enough to replace (mentioned the Ford CSP notice of the issue), progressively over the last two years rattling has been getting worse (especially when idling), took it to different ford dealer and they confirmed it has been the flex plate (but now is outside of the CSP coverage). No engine warning lights were on, which is more concerning as the rattling and vibrations worsen over time. Was told that if not fixed the whole car could stop & break down, which poses a safety risk. Multiple other customer complaints about safety issues and concerns with this known issue of flex plates cracking that ford is not taking responsibility for as the CSP doesn’t cover vehicles over 10yrs old or over 100,000 miles— leaving drivers with unsafe vehicles with crack flex plates.
The rear view camera operates intermittently. Sometimes it works fine, other times the picture is blank or is extremely blurry with horizontal lines through it or the screen just displays snow. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. it can work in the morning, but not when I leave to go home after work. It can works for days, then not work for days. I called Ford due to an article that came across my news feed about rear camera recalls, but Ford said I'm not covered. This has been going on for several months now. A dealer wanted to charge several hundred dollars to check it out, but I didn't want to pay. To me this should be covered under warranty.
10/2024 We noticed coolant was low. filled and kept watch. around 95,000 miles 6/2025 Just hit over 100,000 miles. engine misfire cylinder 3. brought it in, coolant was low, filled and replaced spark plug. 8/2025 engine misfire cylinder 3. brought it back in completed cleaning kit 8/2025 engine misfire cylinder 3. brought back in (2 weeks later). checked further and recommended a valve replace, and we needed to take it to a Ford dealership to replace 10/2025 brought into Ford dealership, coolant leaking into engine, need new engine. Ford will not cover. This is a safety issues as engine could cause fire, if coolant runs to low.
I am reporting a serious safety defect involving the transmission system of my Ford Fusion, specifically related to the valve body and torque converter. The malfunction of these components causes sudden, unpredictable surges or lunges in acceleration, even when the vehicle is being driven at steady speeds or when lightly applying the accelerator. The issue appears to stem from improper pressure regulation or fluid flow within the transmission valve body, which causes erratic shifting and delayed engagement. When this malfunction occurs, the torque converter can fail to properly manage torque transfer, resulting in sudden and forceful forward motion of the vehicle. While driving on a highway at approximately 65 mph, my vehicle suddenly lurched forward aggressively, as if it had downshifted or received a surge of power without any change in throttle input. This caused the car to rapidly accelerate momentarily, nearly causing me to lose control. The unexpected forward thrust startled me and forced me to take immediate corrective action to maintain my lane and prevent a collision with a nearby vehicle. In another instance, while slowing down to a stop, the car lunged forward again instead of decelerating smoothly, nearly causing me to roll into an intersection. This created a dangerous situation for myself, my passengers, and surrounding traffic. This defect creates a significant risk of collision due to the vehicle’s unpredictable acceleration behavior. The driver cannot reliably control speed or anticipate when the car may suddenly surge forward. The issue compromises both vehicle stability and driver reaction time, particularly at higher speeds or in traffic. If this problem were to occur in a congested area, at a stoplight, or near pedestrians, it could result in a serious crash, injury, or fatality. The failure of the valve body and torque converter in the Ford Fusion represents a critical mechanical defect that directly impacts safe operation of the vehicle.
Drove home from work 10/7/25 no issues. Parked the car no issues. Son went to leave and the car just stopped functioning. OEM issues I believe is what my son stated with the computer system. Brake is down and won’t release. Won’t start, sounds like it is even when we aren’t touching anything. Asking for goodwill / Good faith extension on the recall for this vehicle
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V440000 (Electrical System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available, and the recall was put on hold. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and referred the contact to the dealer for further assistance. The contact had not experienced a failure.
According to Auto Zone, after being placed on scanner, the power train system (P0456) has a evaporative emissions system leak (very small leak) diagnosed at 76,919miles. Ford dealership says they cannot find a problem. When I put gas in the car I have to sit and wait at least 10 minutes before my car will start again. It takes a couple of tries and much hesitation, but it will start. Once you get started it has difficulty accelerating or may slow down on its own. Again, Ford dealership reports they can't seem to find a problem. When I told them the problem, they came up with a price to charge me to fix something they could not find. Ridiculous!! My ford app clearly states check engine problem detected, but nooooo they cannot find anything wrong. Two different dealerships. Thank God I keep my paperwork because others are complaining of the same thing. They have to put the pen to the paper or we will never get a recall.

When I put my car in reverse, the backup camera FREEZES and stays on when driving down the road. Sometimes the backup camera turns blue and stays blue when driving down the road. This increases a chance of a crash risk. My 2019 Ford Fusion is not on the recall list and should be. Mountain View Ford in Chattanooga, TN has confirmed my backup camera freezes and turns blue. This backup camera issue began approximately April 2025.
Check engine light was on and off intermittently for a few months starting in march of 2025. No immediate problem then, vehicle had 89 90k miles. In August. The vehicles coolant was leaking into the engine . Rendering a misfire in the cylinder and blowing the head gasket after mechanical diagnosis but not checked immediately due to symptoms not occurring till after a few weeks in August.Car not once over heated but then would not start. The car would then not go past a 40 mph without the transmission pushing very hard. After 3rd party mechanic diagnosis, I looked into potential recall on Fords website and in fact there was one but I was never notified of. So I contacted ford . The said yes, your car is under warranty, however after taking it in, they refused to repair the damages since the problem occurred 10k miles passed the mileage listed on the warranty for the repair. The car is unsafe and not drivable and the issue, which they knew would occur, did not happen till 10k miles passed Fords set parameters in which even if I took it in at that timeframe listed, the problem was not noticeable to be fixed. Very unsafe and unfair to the consumer.

Engine coolant intrusion in cylinders 2 and 3. This is a known issue with my particular build of car (4 cylinder 1.5L eco boost engine)
sometimes when i get in the car and put my seat belt on i can be driving and it unclip tey to put it back in and it want go have to play around with it before im able to clip it into the other part for safety. my safety is put at risk cause when im driving the seatbelt un hooks. no cant afford to take it because it cost almost 200.00 to diagnose any problem with the car.no warning light or anything also sometimes my car say my blind spot camera are not working and it will pop up on my dash. my back up camera instead of it showing whats in back of me it sometimes show whats in front of me

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the contact heard an abnormal popping sound. In addition, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated unintendedly. The check engine warning light was illuminated, and the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with EVAP failure. The contact was informed that the EVAP canister needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar description of a failure; however, the contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
The rear backup camera when in reverse shows a blank screen. When switched to park or drive, a message appears on the screen that says camera unavailable with a warning sign. This began early June 2025. It does not happen every time but it is more often than not. I have had this looked at by a Ford authorized dealer however the problem would not arise for them to see it in action. Yes I can use my mirrors but it is useless to have a safety tool on a vehicle that is defective.
Coolant is intruding into the engine, with no sign of a leak. There was a TSB 22-2229 issued that my car falls under, but ford claims they are not at fault to pay for it. This was a manufacturing error, and was at no fault of my own. My car has less than 60k miles on it. A check engine light came on for cylinder 3 misfire. There was no warning signs that an engine failure was occurring. The car is not driveable as it could overheat at any moment.
I have a 2019 ford fusion turbo engine and everytime I accelerate the turbo is wicking into the pcm the control module which is causing hazards sucking as at random times whenever I turn left the steering wheel with get stuck and the brakes will lock for a couple seconds and then go back to normal. I had Meineke do a diagnostic on the car and they showed oil in the pcm aswell as the loss of connection between the pcm and its sensors. They drove the car and while driving the car going 20mph the car is reading as going 100
The vehicle is having issues with not starting, white smoke coming from exhaust, multiple misfire issues, can not accelerate as car lags out in power. I had a mechanic do some diagnostic testing on it and he confirmed coolant is leaking down into the motor and the engine block is cracked. It currently is not drivable. Engine light started to come on and said it was the coil packs misfiring we changed them and it did not fix the issue. Put a brand new battery in as well and still won't start often. I have reported this to a law firm handling the case against Ford for this known issue. I have kids and do not feel safe putting them in this car as it is unreliable that could cause us serious injury.

Going approximately 55 Miles an hour on the freeway and my car starts profusely shaking. I pulled to the side of the highway tow truck comes up behind me. Ann, my cylinder 4 was noted to be misfiring. I had it towed to Midas and that is where it was determined that engine coolant leaked into my cylinders and now being told that my car requires a new engine!! Mind you i have already paid 5K to replace the timing chain because apparently my car skipped timing due to oil pan leak. Both of these issues are posted on TSB BULLETINS ON THE FORD WEBSITE. I am NOT GOING TO PAY 11K for a new engine not to mention the 5K I already paid and all my other maintenance that I have paid for. Ford was deceptive knowing selling these vehicles with a QA ISSUE! AND THEY REFUSE TO ASSIST THE CONSUMER. THEY NEED TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE!!
I purchased my car at 36, 380 miles and at 51,380 my torque converter has failed.Shift solenoid b stuck on. My warranty has expired in February. My car was well taken care of and should not have been damaged. Ford needs to fix this issue immediately. This is unacceptable.
Sunroof is leaking and maybe other areas. But it’s getting the ceiling wet around front are of the sunroof and starting to effect the radio playing and eventually probably the buttons on the ceiling

First, we will start with every time I turn my car to the left the steering wheel box and the brakes skid then the ABS sensor comes on Then we will start with the car every time I put it into a gear. It automatically goes back to park, and I cannot move the car in any direction. When the issue first started, I could reverse then when I put the car and drive in the middle of the street it would automatically go back to park which could cause a crash I only have video proof of this.
