Power steering failed exactly as under recall 15S18 and 15N01 - however they say my car isn't included in the recall. The car is still at the dealer and broken, so the part is available at this moment. The steering warning came up while driving. Upon restarting, the car would only work in manual mode. The dealer has confirmed the problem. I have not contacted Ford yet, only talking to the dealer. There was no warning other than the one that came up when the failure occurred.

However the bolts have snapped and it is now at a dealership sunshine ford in Newburgh ny they stated the recall was never fixed and it is becoming an issue and could be a safety issue.
Power steering goes out while driving. Usually the colder it is the more frequent. 5 instances of power steering loss. Warning lights about steering loss on dash come on. 1 trip to dealer found nothing wrong. Will start working again hours or up to a day later.

Engine makes a whining sound when motor engages. 2 auto shops, including Ford dealership says it's a bad transmission. When I went online to see if others have had this problem, issue was confirmed that this is a common problem with this Hybrid. We bought this car brand new, have maintained it per manual at dealership. This should not happen with a car with only 112,000 miles. Lemon law?

My Ford Fusion hybrid is no longer safe to drive. I keep it parked in front of my work. I’ve had 2 Mechanics I know personally look at it and they both say the break line is cracked and is spraying out break fluid. I was driving in a stormy day and all of the sudden the break light, traction control light, slippery roads light, abs light, and advance service tech appeared. All at once I knew to drive slow and safe since I had no traction control. I restarted my car and all the lights disappeared. Than as I’m driving the next day, Low break fluid was on the screen but for only a second. And it did that every time I would hit the break. So I bought break fluid and filled it up. I pressed on the breaks many times and turned the wheel to the left so I can look in the wheel well I noticed the leak and immediately knew I needed to get it serviced. I unfortunately don’t have the money and it is gonna remain in front of my work till I can figure out what to do. I looked online to find solutions and found some recalls but when I looked up my vin it didn’t show up for my car. I can attach the recalls I found that look like they are for this issue. Please put add this to the recall list.

While driving on a level flat road at approximately 25 MPH, the front right lower A frame assembly snapped and caused the front suspension to drop and the resulting drop caused the front tire to be ripped from its rim. As a result, I briefly lost control and crashed into a parked vehicle. Had this occurred at a higher speed the result would have been disastrous! The lower A-Frame is a thick cast aluminum structure that is approx 11/2" thick where it cracked apart.

Code p2112, throttle body stuck closed. Lost power, no acceleration, no power steering. Has happened 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Check engine light comes on, no air bags, traction control or hill assist, messages pop up on dash. Too expensive too have Ford "diagnose" issue. No warning before this happens. There was no accident (yet) but it is my only vehicle so I have no choice about driving it.

My car has approximately 110,000 miles on it. For the last 6 months, I've been getting alerts on my dashboard ("Service Advance Trak", "Hill Start Not Available", and one or two others). This happens at slow speeds and when turning. When these alerts start, I lose power steering. I've also noticed that when I apply brakes at slow speeds, the ABS engages for a few seconds. I was told by the dealer that it was the engine control module. I had it replaced and reprogrammed. However, the alerts and loss of power steering still happens though not as much.

I PURCHASED MY USED 2015 FORD FUSION WITH ON 70,000 MILES ON IT ON A TUESDAY, ON THE FOLLOWING THURSDAY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP TO BE DIAGNOSED AND WAS TOLD IT JUST NEEDED COOLANT. SO THEY ADDED COOLANT AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT OFF AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE......BUT THEN THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO AN AUTO PARTS STORE TO BE QUICKLY DIAGNOSED AND THE CODE SHOWED UP AS P26CE (ENGINE COOLANT PUMP-OVERSPEED/AIR IN SYSTEM), I THEN CHECKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS COOLANT STILL IN THE TANK AND NOTICED THAT THE TANK WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. SO I THEN TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE SHOP THE FOLLOWING DAY AND THEY SEARCHED FOR THE LEAK. THEY EVENTUALLY FOUND THE LEAK IN THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING. THEY SHOWED ME THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING AND HOW CORRODED IT WAS, THEY THEN HAD TO ORDER A NEW THERMOSTAT HOUSING AND LET ME KNOW THAT THE NEW PART STILL WOULDNT BE A PERMANENT FIX, THAT IN 70,000 MORE MILES THE NEW THERMOSTAT HOUSING WILL BECOME DEFECTIVE AGAIN BECAUSE OF CORROSION. FORD SHOULD OFFER A PERMANENT FIX FOR THE CORRODING THERMOSTAT HOUSINGS!!!
WHEN STEERING THE CAR IN A TURN, SUCH AS ON AND OFF RAMPS, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL JERK IN THE DIRECTION OF STEERING AND THE (TCS) TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON. THIS BEGAN HAPPENING AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A RECALLED STEERING BOLT REPLACED. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THREE FORD DEALERSHIPS, AND NONE OF THEM CAN FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP RECENTLY ON 2-26-2121 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE STEERING BALL JOINT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED FOR $610.00 WHICH I FOUND ABSURD.

ON MANY OCCASIONS MY CARS MAIN BATTERY HAS COMPLETELY DRAINED. SOMETHING IN THE CAR KEEPS DRAINING THE BATTERY FOR NO REASON ALL ESSENTIALS ARE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF THAT I AM AWARE. IN ALL CASES THE CAR WAS PARKED FOR PERIODS OF TIME. MY WIFE WENT ON A BUSINESS TRIP CAME BACK AFTER TWO WEEKS TO FIND HER CAR AT LOT DEAD. .SHE MANAGED TO GET A JUMP FROM SOMEONE. THIS WAS DURING MINNESOTA WINTER. CAR LEFT IN GARAGE FOR SUMMER WHILE TOOK OTHER CAR ON A TRIP FOR A FEW WEEKS ONLY TO COME BACK WHERE CAR WAS DEAD AGAIN. MANAGED TO GET IT RECHARGED. AGAIN CAR LEFT IN GARAGE FOR LONGER PERIOD ABOUT 3 MONTHS AS WIFE WAS ON DISABILITY. CAR AGAIN WAS FOUND DEAD AND WAS UNABLE TO RECHARGE AS MY CHARGER INDICATED BATTERY WAS BAD. CAR UNDER WARRANTY. TOWED TO WHERE PURCHASED, SAID BATTERY WAS BAD. I INFORMED THEM THIS HAS HAPPEN SEVERAL TIMES AND APPARENTLY BATTERY WAS NOT UNDER SAME WARRANTY. BATTERY REPLACED OUT OF MY POCKET. CAR WENT BACK INTO STORAGE AGAIN. AGAIN BATTERY DIED. TOOK IN AGAIN AND I ASKED THEY CONDUCT A THROUGH TEST AS SOMETHING KEEPS DRAINING THE BATTERY. I ALSO WENT OUT TO CHARGE THE BATTERY ABOUT EVERY TWO WEEKS. BUT EVENTUALLY MY CHARGER TAGGED THE BATTERY AS BAD AGAIN. THEY REPLACED AGAIN NO CHARGE. BUT THEY SAID WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING. AFTER HOME THIS TIME I CHARGED EVERY WEEK AND WHEN I DO THE BATTERY SHOWS IT HAS DRAINED ANYWHERE FROM 30% - 40% EACH WEEK. I NEED SOMEONE TO INTERVENE WITH FORD AS I DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR AS MUCH NOW AND THIS IS CONCERNING AS NOW IS MY ONLY VEHICLE AND WARRANTY ENDS SOON. CAR WAS SERVICED EACH TIME AT MIDWAY FORD 2777 N SNELLING, ROSEVILLE, MN 55113 (844) 338-7004. I DON'T HAVE OTHER DETAILS AT THIS TIME. ALL RECORDS ARE WITH DEALERSHIP OF SERVICE. THE EXACT DATES ARE UNKNOWN AS DID NOT REALIZE THIS WOULD BECOME A LONG TERM CONSTANT PROBLEM. I SEE THAT NHTSA ID NUMBERS 10733369 & 10871542 ARE SIMILAR TO MY CASE.
SAFETY RECALL 15S14 - STEERING GEAR MOTOR BOLT FAILURE. FORD ISSUED RECALL 15S14 WHICH IMPACTED MY VEHICLE. THE PRESS RELEASE STATES: "CUSTOMERS LOCATED IN NON-CORROSION STATES OR PROVINCES WILL BE COVERED BY EXTENDED WARRANTY IF THEY EXPERIENCE SIMILAR CONCERNS. DEALERS WILL REPLACE STEERING GEAR MOTOR ATTACHMENT BOLTS ON CUSTOMER VEHICLES WITH NEW BOLTS, SEAL THEM, AND REPLACE DAMAGED STEERING GEARS AT NO COST TO THE CUSTOMER." THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN TO DEALERS STATES FOR SOLD VEHICLES "DEALERS ARE TO REMOVE THE ORIGINAL STEERING GEAR MOTOR BOLTS, INSTALL REVISED BOLTS, AND APPLY SEALANT TO SPECIFIED AREAS OF THE STEERING GEAR. IF ANY OF THE ORIGINAL STEERING GEAR MOTOR BOLTS ARE BROKEN, MISSING OR BREAK DURING REMOVAL, DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY. THIS SERVICE MUST BE PERFORMED ON AFFECTED VEHICLES AT NO CHARGE TO THE VEHICLE OWNER." FOR NEW IN-STOCK VEHICLES "DEALERS WILL APPLY EITHER VALUGARD RUST INHIBITOR AEROSOL VG-101A OR DAUBERT NOX RUST 7703-W TO SPECIFIC LOCATIONS ON THE STEERING GEAR. THIS PROCEDURE SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED ON NEW IN-STOCK VEHICLES BECAUSE THESE VEHICLES HAVE NOT HAD THE POTENTIAL TO ACCUMULATE CORROSION DAMAGE IN THE STEERING GEAR MOTORS WITH TIME IN SERVICE." OUR VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE DEALER AND WE'RE TOLD THEY SEALED THE BOLTS PRIOR TO SALE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS RECALL HOWEVER THE BOLTS FAILED AT APPROXIMATELY 50K MILES RESULTING IN SEPARATION OF THE STEERING GEAR AND LOSS OF POWER STEERING, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO TURN, ESPECIALLY AT LOW SPEEDS. FORD RECALL ACTIONS FOR NEW IN-STOCK OUTLINED IN THE TSB DID NOT PREVENT THE FAILURE FROM OCCURRING AND DID NOT ALIGN WITH THEIR PRESS STATEMENT. THEIR SEALANT WAS A PATCH SOLUTION WHICH BOUGHT THEM TIME WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE ROOT CAUSE WHICH WAS FAULTY BOLTS.
VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON APRIL 10, 2019. THE SEATBELT CAME LOOSE AT THE METAL CABLE. ALL OTHER 2015 FORD FUSIONS HAVE HAD RECALLS FOR THE SAME ISSUE. THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED TO INCLUDE FUSION HYBRID. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND TURNING. *DT PHOTOS ATTACHED *JB

THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN TWICE FOR A CAM POSITION SENSOR. THE FIRST TIME THE PART TOTALLY FAILED AND LEFT US ON THE ROAD SIDE ON A VERY DANGEROUS STRETCH OF HWY 101 AND WAS REPLACED. 1708 MILES LATER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. THE CODE WAS P0340 AGAIN. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE ISSUE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED THROUGH A DEALER ROAD TEST AND WE WERE CHARGED $190.00 FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS. THE FIRST TIME THIS ISSUE OCCURRED, WE HAD BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR A SAFETY RECALL. WHEN WE PICKED THE CAR UP, THIS WAS THE FIRST INSTANCE OF THE FAILURE OF THIS COMPONENT. THIS HAS CAUSED US GRAVE CONCERN. MY WIFE HAS MS AND CAN'T BE LEFT ON THE ROADSIDE. WE BELIEVE THIS VEHICLE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE UNSAFE, AND FORD WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR REPAIRS AS THE COMPUTER SHOWS THE CODE THAT WOULD STATE THE ISSUE HAS HAPPENED AGAIN, BUT BECAUSE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT CAUSE THE CODE TO OCCUR A THIRD TIME, THAT EVERYTHING IS WORKING WELL. AGAIN, WE BELIEVE THIS IS WRONG AND WISH TO MAKE THE PUBLIC AWARE OF A VERY REAL SAFETY ISSUE. WE HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER ABOUT THE ISSUE. OUR SERVICE ADVISER IS [XXX] FROM MOCK FORD (SHOULD BE NOTED THIS IS NOT HER FAULT NOR I BELIEVE MOCK FORD) AND THE FORD REP IS [XXX], 866-631-3788 X77756 .
