I'm having a problem with I believe it's the fuel sensor my truck gets up to a certain temperature and it just dies and it's not just my truck it's in a lot of the newer model Colorado's as well I have a friend who's having the same exact problem as I am when it gets up past 95 degrees, the truck just all of a sudden stops in the engine turns off, and you have to try and steer your truck without any power steering, the reason I am filing this is if this happens in the middle of the road it could possibly cause an accident and that would be no good and it only happens when it is hot outside in the winter time or when it's cold I have no issues whatsoever

I never received Safety Recall# 06020 Galvanized Defective Tailgate Cables that snap/break due to corrosion inside the cable causing the tailgate to fall down while opened. Both my cables have been torn/broken caused by the rust thru for quit some time. I NOTIFIED THE AUTO CENTER WHERE I PURCHASE THE VEHICLE AND TOOK IT BACK FOR REPAIRS. FIVE WEEKS AFTER THE REPAIR THE GAS GAUGE IS STILL FAULTY. AFTER INTERNET RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM AND IT HAS TO DO WITH TWO SOLDER POINTS IN THE ABS CONTROL CIRCUIT BOARD AT THE ABS HEAD. AS I WAS DRIVING I WAS APPROACHING A FOUR WAY STOP AND APPLIED THE BRAKES ANY THE BRAKE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE BRAKES WORKED FINE FOR THE STOP BEFORE THIS ONE. I TRIED TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND THE PEDAL STILL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE VEHICLE FINALLY STARTED TO SLOW DOWN, I HAD TO DOWN SHIFT TO STOP IN TIME. THEY FOUND ONE OF THE MAIN BRAKE LINE SHAD CORROSION AND HAD RUSTED THROUGH AND THE BRAKE FLUID LEAKED OUT AS I APPLIED THE BRAKES. I WAS LUCKY. I HAD MY 2 YEAR OLD SON IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. I THINK MY YEARS OF DRIVING EXPERIENCE ALLOWED ME TO AVOID A SERIOUS COLLISION. THERE WAS NO WARNING ABOUT THE FAILURE OF THE BRAKE LINES. ALSO THE MECHANIC NOTICED SERIOUS RUSTING OF THE REAR DISC BACKING PLATES, THESE WILL ALSO NEED REPLACING. SO FAR THE COST IS ABOUT $500. FOR JUST THE BRAKE LINES.THE TRUCK HAS UNDER 60,000 MILES. CARS SWERVED AROUND IT, I PULLED OVER ON THE SHOULDER AND GOT THE TIRE AND PARTS AND EXAMINED THE DAMAGE AND CAUSE. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE ONLY THING HOLDING UP THAT SPARE TIRE UNDER MY TRUCK WAS A LITTLE CABLE. WELL, JUST LIKE THE SPARE WHEEL, THE RUST GOT A HOLD OF THE CABLE AND THE CABLE RUSTED THROUGH AND GAVE WAY. I AM A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC, AND I COULD THINK ABOUT HOW MANY VEHICLES THERE ARE OUT THERE THAT ALL THAT IS HOLDING THIS WHEEL UNDER THE VEHICLE IS A LITTLE CABLE, NO "SYSTEM REDUNDANCY" SORT OF SPEAK. JUST LIKE MINE DID, IF THE CABLE BREAKS, THERE IS NO SAFETY DEVICE TO CATCH IT. SOME VEHICLES ARE BETTER AT SECURING IT THAN OTHERS. MY CASE WAS A LUCKY ONE, ITS OBVIOUS THAT A TIRE AND WHEEL BOUNCING ON THE INTERSTATE COULD EASILY CAUSE A WRECK OR EVEN KILL SOMEONE.
