ON CHRISTMAS DAY 2025 AROUND NOON MY 2024 NISSAN ROGUE WAS PARKED IN THE GARAGE AS ALWAYS. GARAGE TEMPERATURE WAS ABOUT 45 F. I OPENED THE REAR HATCH AND HEARD A CRACKLING SOUND. WHEN I CLOSED THE HATCH THE GLASS EXPLODED INTO A MILLION PIECES. CLEARLY THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN THE GLASS FOR THIS TO OCCUR. CONTACTED DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NOT A RECALL ISSUE NOR IS IT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, AFTER CHECKING WITH SOME OFF-SITE AUTHORITY, THEY SAID THAT SINCE THE CAR WAS SO NEW THAT NISSAN WOULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION AND PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE GLASS. LATER THEY SAID THAT SINCE IT HAD MORE THAN 36,000 MILES THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT AFTER ALL. HOWEVER THEY DID SAY THAT THEY WOULD "SPLIT THE COST" WITH ME. I ASKED HOW MUCH MY SHARE OF THAT COST WOULD BE, AND WAS TOLD $480. THIS WAS THE EXACT PRICE QUOTED BY SAFECO TO COME TO MY HOUSE AND REPAIR IT ON THE SPOT. THIS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN THE 2021-2024 NISSAN ROGUES. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. AT LEAST IN MY SITUATION I WAS PARKED WHEN IT EXPLODED BUT HAD I BEEN DRIVING THAT GLASS FLYING COULD HAVE BEEN A MUCH WORSE SITUATION. I JUST WANT NISSAN TO OWN UP TO THIS AND COVER THE REPAIR. I ALSO WANT TO MAKE OTHERS AWARE OF THIS KNOWN PROBLEM.
The Jaguar dealership of Chantilly, VA provided me with a rental car from Enterprise Car Rental. The rental car was provided on the 9th of March 2026. I drove the vehicle to my residence in [XXX] . I parked the vehicle in my driveway. The vehicle in question is a 2024 Nissan Rogue in which the back windshield spontaneously shattered without any warning or notification. The vehicle was secured properly and my security surveillance did not depict any foul play from any perpetrators. I discovered the shattered back windshield on the 13th of Friday 2026. I reported the incident immediately to my Service Advisor of Jaguar Land Rover of Chantilly, VA 20151. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Twice-- most recently in March 2026, the back up camera and the 360 camera failed. The screen went blank. Putting the transmission in Reverse did not engage the backup camera and pushing the "Camera" button on the dash did not engage the front or 360 camera. The interface screen was blank. After shutting off the car for a couple hours and then restarting it, the cameras worked again. Brought the car to a Nissan dealer and they could not replicate the symptoms. It occurs intermittently. The dealer said there was no recall for my VIN regarding the cameras. It's a 2024 Nissan Rogue SL with about 25,000 miles on it.
Vehicle was parked in driveway, got into vehicle and rear window exploded, vehicle wasn’t in motion.
2024 Nissan Rogue SV. Traveling home from [XXX] we were just out side of [XXX] and traveling about 60mph down the lovely [XXX] . Sunny and 40 degrees, had just driven through rain/snow and then the skies cleared up and sun came back out. All of a sudden, BAM! Sounded like something large had hit the roof but we were not under any trees and there were no other vehicles nearby. I slowed down then noticed in the rear-view the back window was shattered, but still mostly intact. By the time I was able to get to safe place to pull over some of the pieces started to fall inside. I pushed the remaining glass inside and went to Walmart and bought duct tape and plastic to make it the remaining 1.5 hours home. It's my wife's company car. The rear windshield in the liftgate shattered while parked in front of my apartment without any possible object that might cause the breaking of the glass. Currently there are still some shattered glass inside the liftgate which the Nissan and AutoGlass company can't totally remove and sometimes causes me some headache because the liftgate won't open.

Electronic throttle body failure. No power engine stopped while operating. Dealership replaced Electronic throttle body and tested electronic . Could have caused crash . Nissan declining recall reimbursement expense and tow . Have extended coverage still declined
The driver seatbelt latchplate binds and continually cinches tighter during normal driving. The issue occurs where the seatbelt webbing passes through the latchplate slot where the shoulder belt transitions to the lap belt. There appears to be insufficient clearance in the latchplate slot, allowing the webbing to slide easily in the tightening direction but not easily in the loosening direction. As a result, the belt continually tightens and specifically pulls the lap portion tighter, while slack cannot be easily fed back through the latchplate without excessive force. This creates a driver distraction because the belt must be forcibly loosened while driving to relieve pressure on the lap. When slack is created to restore comfort, the slack must be maintained because the belt will not easily slide back through the latchplate. This creates a safety trade-off between driving distraction from repeatedly loosening the belt or maintaining excess slack in the restraint system. Two Nissan dealerships inspected the vehicle and declined repair, stating the system is operating within specification.
While at work with my new car (I bought it the day before), I was sitting in my car and heard a pop. When I looked behind me, the whole windshield had shattered but not fallen out of the frame yet. Little by little pieces kept falling. I had it repaired that day in order to keep the vehicle functional. There were no warnings previously. I still have the receipt for the replacement window and I have pictures that show the window damage.
Yesterday, I got into my car - closed my driver door - and my back rear window completely shattered. Upon research online, this is a common issue arising among Nissan rogues. My safety was at risk due to glass exploding everywhere. The dealership where I got the vehicle has been informed of this issue. The vehicle was just purchased three weeks ago and passed its inspection. There were no warning signals, etc.
Check engine light came on. I hooked it up to a machine and read a code P2101 which indicates. Throttle actuator controlled motor store current failure. I had told to Nissan they did an inspection came back that he cleaned the throttlebody charge me $1053 and sent me on my way and my check engine light keeps coming on and it’s a recall on this particular car with this particular problem, but my VIN number is not showing up.

The rear glass got shattered unexpectedly without any impact.
Rear windshield spontaneously shattered and fell into back of vehicle. No external event caused the shatter…it just happened with no outside cause. No rocks or bullets found inside the car, just broken glass.
I rented this vehicle from Enterprise on 02/05/26 with approximately 50k+ miles on it. On 02/15/26 at approximately 945am I was stopped in a restaurant drive thru and heard a loud pop and looked back to see the rear window had shattered. I got out and verified nothing had hit the window. The driver next to me stated he saw the rear window explode without notice or outside force. The temperatures were in the mid 40s and raining. The rear defrost was not on at the time nor was the rear wiper. However both were on approximately 15-30 minutes prior for about 15 minutes.
Driving in the way to work when I heard a pound pop I thought someone was shooting at my car, looked in the. Back & my window was shattered broken.
I turned on my Nissan Rogue 2024. The moment I hit this on button I heard a loud bang and my back windshield had completely shattered. I immediately called the dealership I bought it from Beau Townsend Nissan because I knew I had paid for security plus gold preferred and Ultimate Platinum Protection and wanted to know what to do. The dealership gave me the number to customer care, then customer care said it’s not covered under extended warranty and gave me another number, and after talking to various people I ended up back with the dealership begging for help. They said oh it definitely would not be covered. This incident posed risks as there was no warning anything would happen. Much of the glass shattered into the trunk in small crevices and I have children. The glass sprayed across the driveway where it can get in tired if a shard is missed. I had to leave my car with a huge hole outside in my neighborhood where there has been convicted theft.
I have a brand new 2024 Nissan rogue I keep it very pristine condition and I follow all recommendations for service on my vehicle. I am down in Naples Florida originally from Crystal Lake Illinois, and while I was at the gas station called Murphy's in Naples I presumably got bad fuel and now I have $3,000 in damages on my car. I asked the Naples Nissan dealership to help me fill out a form to make Murphy's be held accountable and they still haven't done it 5 days later. I'm in a rental car losing money everyday. I contacted Nissan consumer affairs and their case manager is in India she's never returned my call, she has never even contacted the dealership and I contacted the consumer affairs department again yesterday asking for a supervisor to call me back but I never got a return call. I'm at a financial loss, and under horrible stress due to all these conditions with no one helping me resolve my issue. I need help please help!
The back window randomly exploded while I was taking my children to school and there are MULTIPLE complaints of the same issue but NISSAN hasn’t issued a recall yet. My children could have been cut or injured yet I am somehow responsible for a window exploding on its own all because I used the defoggers. That is not safe AT ALL.
I was driving my company car down the road, and without much warning, steam and smoke came out the tail pipe. Upon being diagnosed, it was determined that it had coolant on the Pistons. The vehicle has 68,000 miles just out of warranty. The cost of fix is 80% of the value of the vehicle.
Rear window shattered when my wife closed the drivers door.
The rear back window shattered on its own without any impact or object interference
I sat down in my vehicle closed the door and the back window shattered.
Rear windshield shattered on its own.
The vehicle experiences a severe loss of power, placing it into a reduced-power or limp mode that prevents the vehicle from exceeding approximately 10 mph. The issue has occurred repeatedly despite multiple repair attempts. The battery was replaced initially, after which the vehicle broke down while still at the dealership. The service department removed the new battery & reinstalled the original battery, at which point the vehicle temporarily operated normally. On a subsequent visit for the same reduced-power condition, the dealership replaced the throttle body chamber and multiple gaskets. This repair resolved the issue only for a short period of time. During a third service visit, I paid approximately $3,000 for additional repairs; however, the same issue occurred again, & I was unable to safely leave the dealership parking lot. The vehicle is currently available for inspection, testing, & servicing upon request. All prior inspections & repair attempts are documented in dealership service records. My safety & the safety of others were placed at significant risk because the vehicle unexpectedly loses power while being driven. The vehicle abruptly slows & cannot exceed 10 mph. This occurred while driving on the highway during heavy 5:00 p.m. traffic, as well as during normal roadway driving. A sudden and severe reduction in speed in traffic creates a high risk of rear-end collisions or other serious accidents, particularly if surrounding drivers are unable to react in time. Yes. The dealership where the vehicle was purchased is the same dealership that has serviced the vehicle on all three occasions. Each time, the dealership has inspected the vehicle and represented that the issue was repaired. However, the problem continues to occur immediately after service, including instances where the vehicle could not be driven out of the dealership parking lot. Any qualified service center test-driving the vehicle would be able to observe & reproduce. Yes check engine light

We have colder weather, so we had normal ice and snow on the vehicle. I walked the backside of the vehicle to the driver side. I entered on the drivers side. I started the car and turned on the defrost, I then heard the cracking, which I assumed to be the ice. When I shut the driver door the back rear window shattered.
[XXX]- I have a 2024 Nissan Rogue. My car was parked in my garage. Once I pushed the button to start, the back window exploded! Broken glass everywhere. I was the only one in the car. My car has a little over 18,000 miles, and I cannot afford to get it fixed. I have insurance with a $1,000 deductible. I spoke with a dealership in Auburn, Alabama (this is where I live). I emailed pictures, and I am presently waiting for a reply. I have requested that Nissan fix this issue free of charge. while driving home, I came to a red light. The rear windshield of the vehicle suddenly exploded then soon shattered without any impact. No prior damage or warning signs were present. This poses a significant safety risk.
The contact's friend owns a 2024 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that when the vehicle was being started, it was observed that the glass on the liftgate had shattered. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in an apartment complex parking lot and was not near any trees or other vehicles. The contact called a local dealer and was advised to bring the vehicle to the dealer to be inspected; however, the first available appointment was 3 weeks away. The contact called the manufacturer to report the failure. The Insurance Provider was contacted and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.
Rear Window exploded while vehicle parked.
Back glass exploded when driver door was shut. Upon further research, this is a reoccurring problem with most Nissan Rogue models.
Took my Nissan Rogue in for simple oil change, and was told I need NEW tires after 18,000 miles
I rented this car and the moment I started the ignition the back window spontaneously spilling glass all in the back and on my garage floor. Unfortunately the rental company is declaring this my fault and will be held financially liable.
