Incident date: Oct 18, 2025
Vehicle was parked, all windows and doors closed. Key remained out of the vehicle. Car parked for several hours without being touched, when suddenly it began to roll forward on its own. The car continued forward and quickly went down a short hill into a rocky area of a field before coming to a stop.

Steering experiences sticking during gradual curves in the road. It requires some effort to return the steering wheel from the stuck position and I’m worried that it won’t someday and cause a collision.

1 forward collision unexpectedly slammed on the brakes when I was trying to go forward to make a left turn. There was no one in front of me nor each side of me. I had 2x4’s in my car that were thrusted forward damaging my dashboard and display. I was told to take it to the dealership on Monday 2
... I was fine just hooked up, but the driver was pissed off at me thinking I was stopping short on him 3 randomly the rear sensor would go off telling me they are too close when I’m at a complete stop. It has randomly stopped short on me but I thought it might have just been an over sensitive sensor. I have previously owned an Ioniq 5 and the sensor would never stop going off even if I was 2 car lengths away. 4 the car is going back to the dealership on Monday so it has not been expected yet 5 exactly 6 days after purchasing the car the airbag indicator showed up on my dashboard while I was driving. I was used to the Ioniq 5 sensors always going on when I was stopped waiting for a green light that I just thought it was the same way. It had abruptly stopped on me three other times between the 6th and today the 21st. I have only had it for 3 weeks. I have never gotten any warnings before the car just slams the breaks on. After looking online about this issue I decided to make a report before I take it to the dealership so you have it on file. I am very disappointed with this vehicle and was so excited when I bought it. I have been a loyal customer of Hyundai since 2017 when I bought my first Ioniq and I have purchased 6 other cars for my family members since then. I still purchased the Tucson after having to take a 15,000 loss because the Ioniq 5 never held its value. Now I’m wondering if I should switch manufacturersRead more

Vehicle is a 4 wheel drive SUV, having the Mercedes-Benz "4Matic" drivetrain, has it's Center Differential Planetary Gearset (With Integral Clutch Pack) in failure. Mercedes is clearly aware that this is a drivetrain component that fails prematurely as there is a Technical Service Bulletin (LI28.00
... -P-051499) that provides methodology for diagnosing the failure for 4Matic equipped vehicles from 2003 to 2016, specifically listing 83 different 4Matic equipped vehicles. Particular caution is called out as to special lubrication required prior to assembling the component into the drive train. Very likely that the root cause of the widespread failures was the part not being installed correctly. Though the failure evidences initially by front wheel vibrations and shuddering at low speed, it is a latent serious safety issue in that the component could fail catastrophically when stressed, i.e., hard acceleration when merging onto a highway, at best causing a sudden imbalance in front/rear propulsion resulting in an affected vehicle compromised in its steering, or at worst locking up front or rear wheels resulting in a spin out. Mercedes has replaced this equipment under warranty for an unknown number of vehicles, but refuses to acknowledge how widespread the problem is. Mercedes Customer Assistance says "no recall' so refuses to address the issue and flatly told me to take it up with the NHTSA. Public safety dictates that all affected vehicles need to be inspected for the failure and these defective components replaced as a recall.Read more

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a recurring issue with the rear camera system in my 2020 Ford Mustang. When attempting to engage the rear camera while reversing, a persistent blue screen obstructs the view, posing a significant safety hazard. After conducting thorough research,
... I have discovered that this problem is not isolated to my vehicle alone. Instead, it appears to be a widespread issue affecting numerous owners of Ford Mustangs. It has come to my attention that the root cause of this malfunction is attributed to faults within the wiring harness of the Mustang models. What is deeply concerning is that despite the prevalence of this issue and its potential implications for driver safety, Ford Motor Company has yet to initiate a recall to address and rectify the problem. It appears that there is a conscious decision to restrict the recall, leaving countless Mustang owners vulnerable to accidents and unnecessary risks. As a responsible consumer and advocate for road safety, I implore the NHTSA to investigate this matter urgently and compel Ford to take appropriate action. It is imperative that Ford acknowledges the severity of this defect and assumes responsibility by issuing a comprehensive recall to rectify the faulty wiring harnesses in all affected vehicles. Failure to address this issue promptly not only undermines consumer trust but also jeopardizes the well-being of drivers and pedestrians alike. I trust that the NHTSA will prioritize this complaint and take decisive steps to ensure the safety and welfare of all motorists. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I eagerly await your response and resolution.Read more
