2015 Hyundai Veloster Turbo (original owner). The vehicle has three severe safety defects: TRUNK/HATCH LATCH FAILURE: The hatchback lift support/latch fails, refusing to stay open. It unexpectedly fell, which has caused repeated, severe impacts to my head and neck, resulting in an injury requiring
... surgery. I must manually prop it open with a mini ball to load cargo. ENGINE & TURBO FAILURE / OIL CONSUMPTION: History of engine acceleration issues and turbo failures since 4,000 miles. At 44,000 miles, the turbo completely failed, the car started to whine, then rattle, and completely turned off. Dealer (Hyundai Escondido) forced a $2,200 out-of-pocket replacement despite being under warranty, citing a lack of at-home oil change receipts. The vehicle now has a documented, rapid oil leak and excessive consumption issue that the dealer refuses to repair, despite being reported prior to warranty expiration. SEAT BELTS: The front and rear seat belt latches are malfunctioning, intermittently releasing on their own, failing to release properly, or failing to latch securely, compromising the safety of a [XXX] passenger. The contact owns a 2015 Hyundai Veloster. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle and shifting into gear, the vehicle failed to respond and became inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the rear axle was replaced, the transmission fluid
... was flushed and refilled, and a shift analyzer software update was performed; however, the failure recurred days later. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was determined that the wheel speed sensor had failed. Upon investigating the failure online, the contact advised the dealer to inspect the crankshaft position sensor; however, the dealer informed the contact that the failure was related to the transmission. The contact was informed that the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired, and the contact was advised to retrieve the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and covered the cost of the rear axle replacement under a goodwill assistance program. Several cases were filed, and the contact sent a video of the failure to the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.Read more

The following issues occur on a 2020 Acura MDX with low 50k miles, maintenance was done regular whenever a maintenance schedule appear. For the past few years after purchasing the vehicle we started getting a non-start engine with the key fobs and automatic side mirrors did not open or close when pa
... rked. Brand new batteries were replace for the key fob and later the Car Battery and the issue occurs intermittently, this was brought to the attention of the dealership and each time (documented) that they were not able to reproduce when they turned off the vehicle, this was mid 2024 06-13-2024 and sporadically continues till this year 2026. The dealership did not test or trace the electrical system as they were told to reproduce the issue first as it will happen at that moment. A new recent event 2025 has also occur and was brought to the dealerships attention, a warning message indicating - Electric Parking Brake Problem follow by a Emissions System Problem will appear. This was also "reset" by the dealership and indicated it was safe to drive but event reoccurs every few months. A 2nd opinion to another mechanic indicated it can be the emergency brake system to be faulty and driving the vehicle when the message appears may cause an immediate stop, advised us to have the dealership reach out to the manufacture. No word from either for the past year. Any open recall for my VIN was done once we were notified and a New Car Battery replaced and new batteries in key fobs - issue continues. I am submitting this supplemental complaint regarding a repeated and dangerous brake failure in my 2025 Hyundai Palisade. This is a follow-up to my original complaint submitted in July 2025. On multiple occasions while driving at low speeds (around 5 mph), including turning into driveways or approa
... ching intersections, the braking system failed to respond properly. The brake pedal felt like it lost connection — similar to how a bike slips when its brake fails. The vehicle kept moving forward even while I was applying the brake. This nearly caused accidents several times. I believe the automatic emergency braking system (AEB) also failed to engage. One incident caused me to hit a fence, resulting in a small dent. Hyundai is now refusing to repair the safety systems under warranty because of that dent — even though the dent was a result of the brake malfunction. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Hyundai service center, and they refused to cover the issue under warranty or provide a loaner vehicle, leaving me to drive a potentially dangerous car. I also want to note that I have seen multiple recent NHTSA complaints from other Hyundai Palisade owners describing similar brake issues. This suggests a wider pattern of brake failure, which must be urgently investigated before someone is seriously injured or worse. Hyundai has failed to properly investigate the issue or assist me in any meaningful way. This vehicle is still under warranty, and I am unable to safely use it while they delay responsibility.Read more

Safety Issue Company Fleet Vehicle Error Message on the DASHBOARD Cluster: "Engine Malfunction Power Reduced Service Now" And will suddenly stop in the middle of the road or Freeway.
Incident date: Feb 25, 2025
The lower control arm of the passenger front wheel separated from the vehicle entirely while the vehicle was in motion. There are two bolts which attach the bushing to the front sub-frame assembly. These bolts pass through the frame and are secured into nuts which are affixed to the frame. The bo
... lts are not captured; there is no retention device (pins, wiring) which prevent these bolts from backing out of position, other than torque. Blue thread-lock compound was visible on both bolts, which remained present in the bushing after the control arm separated from the frame. When the arm detached from the frame, it dropped to the asphalt and made a loud grinding noise. The passenger side front wheel became directionally unstable and rotated inward and left, out of alignment with the intact driver-side wheel. This misalignment, while the vehicle was in motion, disrupted steering control and forced the passenger front wheel into the fender, causing friction and significant further damage to the frame and the suspension. This damage, combined with the driver's actions, stopped the car immediately. Fortunately, this occurred at low speed. Unfortunately, the cumulative damage left the vehicle immobilized in the middle of public road. Due to the great weight of the vehicle and the unstable front wheel, the vehicle could not be removed from the roadway and thus blocked traffic for several hours. The bolts, frame, and control arm were not visibly damaged. The bolts lost torque and backed out of the frame without noticeable indication that they were doing so. Tesla's characterization of the fault was that the vehicle "ejected" the bolts. Tesla repaired the damage under warranty. Car had scheduled routine maintenance done on February 15, 2025 where tires were rotated and balanced. About a month later, the rear differential failed. The contact owned a 2024 RAM 2500. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at 40 MPH, he attempted to slowly bring the vehicle to a complete stop upon approaching a stop sign. However, with the brake pedal depressed all the way to the floorboard, the vehicle failed to stop or even slow
... as intended, causing the driver to unsafely pass through the intersection without stopping. Afterward, the driver smelled smoke in the vehicle's interior shortly before observing flames from the front driver-side door exterior panel. The driver could maneuver the vehicle into a roadside ditch, resulting in reduced speeds of around 15 MPH, allowing him and the other occupants to evacuate. The unoccupied vehicle then rolled to a complete stop in a roadside ditch moments later, becoming completely engulfed in flames. Local emergency services arrived and were able to extinguish the flames but could not inform the contact of where the fire may have originated as the flames had reduced the vehicle down to its chassis. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard but had yet to be deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A fire report was filed. A police was not filed, and no injuries were reported. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 10,000.Read more

For years my truck starts vibrating excessively, shaking the entire vehicle when driving over certain sections of roadway or bumps. Sometimes, my steering is difficult to maintain when this happens. This occurs at speeds around 50 mph+. I always assumed it was just a bad road section and never purs
... ued any repair as I didn't think it was a truck issue. Recently, I have come across some articles, that described my exact situation/condition when driving my truck. It makes me have to slow way down below the speed limit for the violent shaking to stop. Sometimes, I though it was just my stiff suspension on bad roads. It is being called the Ford Death Wobble and affects many Ford Super Duty Trucks. Who knows what other components of my truck have been unduly affected due to this manufacturer's safety issue with my truck and that appears to be a situation that occurs often with other Ford Super Duty trucks. I'm concerned one day it will cause me to lose control and crash or crash into another vehicle. To my knowledge Ford has not issued any recall's regarding these safety problems.
