Complaint regarding 2016 Hyundai Veloster engine oil consumption and warranty denial. In late 2023, at approximately 70,000–80,000 miles, my vehicle began experiencing excessive oil consumption. I reported this issue to Hyundai and authorized dealerships while the vehicle was still under warranty
... . Since then, I have completed multiple oil consumption tests, inspections, combustion cleanings, and repeated service visits, none of which resulted in a permanent repair or resolution. The oil consumption has continued and worsened over time. I am required to frequently add oil between services, raising serious concerns about engine reliability, safety, and potential engine failure. Despite ongoing documentation and repeated attempts to resolve the issue, Hyundai has not identified or corrected the root cause and has instead relied on temporary measures that have not fixed the problem. Throughout this process, my concerns have often been dismissed or minimized. Customer service has been inconsistent and at times unhelpful, despite a clear and documented history of complaints and repair attempts. Communication has been lacking and I have repeatedly had to advocate for proper attention to my case. These issues were first reported while the vehicle was under warranty, and Hyundai has had multiple opportunities to properly diagnose and repair the defect. Based on the documented history of ongoing oil consumption and repeated unsuccessful repair attempts, I believe Hyundai should honor its warranty obligations. I am requesting a full review of my case, acknowledgement of all warranty-period complaints, and approval of an engine replacement or other permanent repair at no cost to me. I am seeking accountability, fair treatment, and a lasting resolution to an ongoing engine defect.Read more

There is a continual problem with this car. Randomly, about every 1-2 weeks, my entire infotainment center, customer settings, and seat preferences will reset to Italian and the metric system. I own a 2023 Hyundai Palisade Limited that currently has confirmed active safety recalls affecting critical passenger safety systems, including the third-row side-curtain airbag recall and the second-row seat belt buckle recall. We have experienced firsthand the seat belts coming unbuckled during dr
... iving. These recalls affect hundreds of thousands of Palisade vehicles and involve defects where third-row airbags may not properly deploy in a crash and seat belt buckles may fail to latch correctly, increasing the risk of injury to occupants. Despite contacting my dealership, I have been given inconsistent information and no clear remedy timeline, leaving me with a vehicle that I reasonably believe is unsafe to operate and significantly diminished in value. I am seeking legal review regarding potential class action participation, consumer protection claims, or compensation for owning a vehicle with unresolved safety defects. At this time their only remedy offered is to swap the palisade for a lender Santa Fe until it is repaired, this is something I have pressed for persistently to achieve.Read more

While driving at approximately 20mph, the front passenger-side steering knuckle suffered a catastrophic structural failure, snapping completely in two. On March 5 I was notified that Land Rover Corporate might not agree to reimburse the dealer for rental expenses while I wait for the defective/recalled parts to be replaced so I was asked to trade in the rental car for a loaner vehicle from the dealership. I agreed to make this exchange. While en route to complete this vehicle exchange I was told by Land Rover Rocklin that I would need to return the rental vehicle to Avis and that they would not be providing me with a dealership loaner car per our original agreement. They further instructed me to collect and drive home my unrepaired, vehicle which had been established for the last two months it sat I their shop as "unsafe to drive." I contacted Land Rover Corporate to complain that my vehicle had been unavailable for nearly three months because it was deemed unsafe to drive and to complain that corporate is not taking care of its customers by providing reimbursement to dealers to ensure affected Range Rover owners have safe transportation until the recall repair work is completed.
