CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTERS, FRAM BRAND NAME P/N G3727, WITH DATE CODES X52911 THROUGH X60801 SEQUENTIALLY OR X600141 AND A MEXICO COUNTRY OR ORIGIN MARKING ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 18, 2005, THROUGH MARCH 21, 2006, SOLD FOR USE ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE AND ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES. (TO SEE THE SCHOOL BUS ENGINE SIZES, CLICK ON "DOCUMENT SEARCH" AND THEN "BUS APPLICATIONS"). THE CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL FILTER WAS NOT MANUFACTURED TO HONEYWELL'S SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAT CORRECTLY ON THE FUEL LINE.
Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).

VEHICLE HAS ONLY 21,650 M ON IT, USED MOSTLY ON WEEKENDS AND IN THE SNOW IN WINTER. IT WAS DOING FINE UNTIL 9/18/16 WHEN SUDDENLY I NOTICED MY BRAKE WAS NOT RESPONDING AS USUAL. I HAD TO PUSH THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR REPEATEDLY TO STOP, BARELY MISSED HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS ON ONE OF MY CITY STREETS GETTING BACK HOME AFTER GROCERY SHOPPING. DROVE HOME SLOWLY AND VERY CAREFULLY. HAD IT TOWED TO A NEARBY GM DEALER. HE SAYS MOST OF THE BRAKE LINES AND SOME HOSES HAVE RUSTED, NEED TO BE REPLACED. THAT WOULD BE 15-16 HOURS LABOR AND WILL COST ME $ 2000.00. IT SNOWS HERE QUITE A BIT AND AFTER THE SEASON, I ALWAYS WASH MY VEHICLES WITH EMPHASIS ON THE UNDERSIDE TO REMOVE THE SALT AND CHEMICALS. BESIDES, ON THIS VEHICLE I HAD TO REPAINT THE HOOD TWICE, ROOF ONCE AND REPLACE THE REAR BUMPER SO FAR- ALL DUE TO RUST. NOW MY FRONT BUMPER IS SHOWING SIGNS OF RUST. WHAT'S THE MATTER - WITH ALL THIS EXCESSIVE RUSTING ON THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE MY OTHER SUV PARKED RIGHT BESIDE THIS AT HOME AND USE IT IN THE WINTER TIME. IT IS MUCH OLDER THAN YUKON AND THERE IS NO RUST PROBLEM AT ALL WITH IT. LOOKS LIKE THERE IS SOME SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE METAL USED IN THIS VEHICLE OR LACK OF QUALITY CONTROL. GM DID A BAD JOB WITH THIS VEHICLE. THEY SAY THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THIS MODEL. WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN GET COMPENSATED BY GM FOR ALL THIS HARDSHIP. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE BRAKING AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLES FRONT END WOULD RATTLE AND SHAKE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD TRAVEL TO THE FLOORBOARD WHEN DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ABS MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE WHEN TWO METAL LINES RUPTURED CAUSING A LOSS OF HYDRAULIC PRESSURE IN BOTH CIRCUITS DURING A HARD STOP. ABS HAD NOT ACTIVATED. THE BRAKING TOOK PLACE AT LOW SPEED WHEN A CAR AHEAD STOPPED SUDDENLY PEDAL SANK TO THE FLOOR, AND THE CABLE-ACTIVATED PARKING BRAKE WAS THEN USED TO AVOID A COLLISION AND GET THE TRUCK TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD.

BRAKE ROTOR AND PAD KIT PURCHASED FROM ROCK AUTO WAS THE WRONG DIMENSION AND THEY REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE IMPROPER FIT, THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE FROM ROCK AUTO: :[XXX] I HAVE RECEIVED A REPLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMING THAT PART NUMBER KOE 1970, THE ROTORS YOU RECEIVED, ARE THE CORRECT ROTORS FOR A 1999 GMC YUKON 5.7L V8 WITH 4WD AND 6 LUG WHEELS. THE PART NUMBER FOR THESE ROTORS SHOULD BE AR8609XPR. IF THIS IS NOT THE NUMBER STAMPED ON THE ROTOR YOU RECEIVED, YOU MAY HAVE RECEIVED A MIS-BOXED PART. IF THAT IS THE CASE, PLEASE RESPOND WITH THE NUMBER THAT IS STAMPED ON THE ROTOR YOU RECEIVED. IF THIS NUMBER MATCHES THE ROTORS YOU RECEIVED, YOU CAN SIMPLY FOLLOW THE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE EMAILED TO YOU. IN THIS CASE WE WOULD BE UNABLE TO REFUND YOU THE ORIGINAL SHIPPING, BUT WE WILL COVER THE RETURN SHIPPING IN THE FORM OF A SHIPPING LABEL. HAD TO STOP IN A HURRY ON THE FREEWAY AND WAS GOING ABOUT 60 MILES AN HOUR AND HIT THE BRAKES, I BELIEVE THE ABS LOCKED UP AND I FISHTAILED FROM THE LEFT TO THE RIGHT AND BACK TO THE LEFT AGAIN. ENGINE SHUTOFF AUTOMATICALLY AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS NEARLY CAUSED A MULTI CAR COLLISION WITH A POSSIBLE BRIDGE FLY AWAY AS WE WERE ON A BRIDGE AT THE TIME. LUCKILY THROUGH DEFENSIVE DRIVING WAS ABLE TO GAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND KEEP IT FROM HITTING ANYTHING OR ANYONE, HOWEVER NOW WHEN TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT THERE IS A SQUEAK AT EVERY ROTATION WHEN GOING SLOW. AS I WAS PULLING OUT OF THE PARKING LOT OF MY WORK, ONTO A PUBLIC ROAD, I CAME TO A STOP SIGN. I HAD BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE FOR ABOUT 1 SECOND, THEN THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. THERE WAS TRAFFIC COMING FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS SO I BECAME A LITTLE NERVOUS. THE TRUCK DID STOP IN TIME THOUGH. I KNEW I HAD BLOWN A BRAKE LINE RIGHT AWAY. (REAR BRAKE LINE RUPTURE) MY WIFE WAS ON HER WAY TO WORK WHEN SHE APPLIED THE BRAKES THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. THE PEDAL BECAME REAL SOFT AS IF THE VEHICLE WASN'T GOING TO STOP. AFTER RETURNING HOME, UPON INVESTIGATION THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER WAS ALMOST EMPTY. I FOUND BRAKE FLUID COMING OUT OF A BADLY CORRODED BRAKE LINE JUST BEHIND THE FUEL TANK. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY BAD SITUATION. WE ARE THE SECOND OWNERS ON THIS VEHICLE, PURCHASED IN 2001. WE HAVE ALWAYS KEPT IT MAINTAINED AND CLEAN, INCLUDING CAR WASHES AFTER SNOW STORMS TO REMOVE ROAD SALT AND SAND. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING ON AN 11 YEAR OLD VEHICLE, THANKFULLY THIS DIDN'T RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THE FUEL LINES HAVE CORROSION AT EVER MOUNTING LOCATION. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 GMC YUKON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AT LEAST SEVEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL WITHOUT WARNING WHILE TRAVELING AT ANY GIVEN SPEED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART WHEN THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR AND WOULD HAVE TO BE TOWED TO HER PLACE OF RESIDENCE. INITIALLY, THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER UNDER THE FACTORY WARRANTY. ALL OTHER REPAIRS WERE MADE BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND WAS OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 144,000.

CONSUMER'S 1999 GMC YUKON IS EXPERIENCING PROBLEM RELATED TO CAMPAIGN NUMBER 05V379000. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED HE HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. THE SENSORS WERE REPLACED TWICE. THERE WERE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO GET GMC TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM, BUT WITH NO SUCCESS SINCE THE ACTUAL RECALL DID NOT LIST THE CONSUMERS MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR ON THE RECALL. I PURCHASED A SET OF BF GOODRICH ALL TERRAIN TIRES FOR MY 1999 GMC YUKON. THE LEFT REAR TIRE HAD A BLOW OUT AFTER I DROVE THE CAR ABOUT 12 MILES SINCE THE NEW TIRE WAS INSTALLED AT THE DISCOUNT TIRE DEALERSHIP IN BURIEN WASHINGTON. THE TIRE WAS A C LOAD RATED TIRE, SIZE 265 16 R75. THE ENTIRE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE BLEW OUT AROUND THE CIRCUMFERENCE OF THE SIDEWALL. I HAVE NEVER SEEN A BLOW OUT WITH THIS CHARACTERISTIC. THIS WAS A VERY SERIOUS EVENT AND IT OCCURRED ON A BAND NEW TIRE. THE TIRE WAS DEFECTIVE AND THERE ARE LIKELY OTHER TIRES WITH THIS SAME DEFECT. *TR

THERE HAD BEEN NO PRIOR FAILURES WITH THE TRANSMISSION SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE USED IN JANUARY OF 2009. I CHECK ON THE INTERNET BEFORE SCHEDULING THE REPAIR AND FOUND A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE. WHEN CALLING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR REPAIR I WAS NOTIFIED THAT MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER IS 05V379000. GM RECALL # 05068 FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THIS RECALL PERTAINS TO CERTAIN PICKUP TRUCKS AND SUV'S BETWEEN 1999 AND 2002 AND FAILING ABS AT SLOW SPEEDS WHICH CAUSES THE BRAKES TO PULSATE AND TO NOT WORK CORRECTLY. THE RECALL COVERED MOST OF THE NE STATES (SALT BELT) AND WAS CAUSED BY CORROSION. THE ABS LOW SPEED SENSOR'S WOULD MALFUNCTION AND CAUSE THE ABS TO ACTIVATE AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP (AS IF SLIPPING). I OWN A 1999 GMC YUKON WITH 70K MILES AND THE ABS SENSORS ARE SHOT. I CALLED GM, THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT A LOCAL DEALER, WHEN I DID, THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD TALK TO THE GM REP. FINAL ANSWER FROM GM ...SINCE MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL, THEY WILL DO NOTHING. THEY WANT $300 TO FIX MY 99 YUKON, THE SAME PROBLEM THEY WOULD FIX FOR FREE IF IT WERE A 1999 SIERRA K1500 TRUCK OR A 2000 YUKON, BOTH VEHICLES USING THE SAME ABS SENSORS. MY 1999 GMC YUKON IS A K1500 (AS STATED ON THE ORIGINAL STICKER) AND THAT VEHICLE IS COVERED BY THE RECALL AS WELL AS THE 2000 YUKON. I HAVE CHECKED AND THE REPLACEMENT SENSORS ARE THE SAME FOR MY 99 YUKON AS THEY ARE FOR THE 99 K1500 AND THE 2000 YUKON. GM DEALER SAID TO ME, "WELL YOU TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY". WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH A SAFETY RECALL. I HAVE NAMES FROM THE DEALERSHIP, THE LOCAL GM REP, GM CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL #71-550013XXX. BOTH GM AND THE DEALERSHIP HAVE REFUSED TO FIX MY VEHICLE UNDER THE GM RECALL, STATING THAT SINCE YOUR VIN IS NOT LISTED IN THE RECALL, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO.
