Chrysler (FCA US LLC) expanded the affected population to include 73,712 2005-2009 RAM 2500 trucks produced at the St. Louis North Assembly Plant. With this change, Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2004-2008 RAM 1500, 2005-2009 RAM 2500, 2006-2009 RAM 3500, 2007-2010 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis, 2008-2010 RAM 4500 and 5500 Cab Chassis, 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, 2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen, 2007-2012 Jeep Wrangler, 2008-2012 Dodge Challenger, 2005-2008 Dodge Magnum, 2005-2012 Chrysler 300, 2006-2012 Dodge Charger, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles originally sold, or ever registered, in AL, CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MS, SC, TX, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan), and the U.S. Virgin Islands, or "Zone A." Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and RAM owners. Mitsubishi owners will be notified by their company. Dealers will replace the passenger frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2017. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is S43. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V-7700.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2005-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, 2004-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and Durango, 2006-2009 Dodge Ram 3500, 2008-2010 Dodge Ram 4500 and 5500, 2007-2008 Chrysler Aspen, 2005-2010 Chrysler 300, 300C, 300S, and SRT8, 2006-2010 Dodge Charger, 2005-2008 Magnum, 2005-2011 Dodge Dakota, and 2006-2009 Mitsubishi Raider vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with a dual-stage driver frontal air bag that may be susceptible to moisture intrusion which, over time, could cause the inflator to rupture.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to drive their vehicle until the recall repair is complete. Chrysler will notify the affected Chrysler and Dodge owners and Mitsubishi will notify the affected Raider owners. Dealers will replace the driver's frontal air bag inflator, free of charge. The recall began for Chrylser on June 8, 2015. The recall for Mitsubishi started on June 24, 2015. Chrysler and Dodge owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Mitsubishi owners may call 1-888-648-7820. Chrysler's number for this recall is R25. Note: This recall supersedes recall 14V817 in its entirety. Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the clutch ignition interlock switch, free of charge. The recall began on March 27, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is P80.

DUE TO INADEQUATE HEAT TREATMENT DURING PRODUCTION, THE AFFECTED PITMAN ARMS MAY DEVELOP CRACKS IN THE UPPER SPLINED ATTACHMENT ATTACHMENT TO THE STEERING OUTPUT SHAFT. The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that on numerous occasions while driving at approximately 55 MPH, the steering wheel started to shake violently from side to side. As a result, the contact had to depress the brake pedal to diminish the shaking of the steering wheel. No warning light was illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the VIN had been included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V350000 (Steering). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.

The frame has rusted completely through on both driver and passenger sides. The integrity of the frame is severely compromised and may collapse at anytime. This type of failure could be absolutely catastrophic to everyone who may be involved. It has not been confirmed by a dealer, nor has it been inspected by any others yet. It but was inspected by a ASE-certified mechanic and confirmed. I am a disabled veteran, and I am not even sure how to move the truck with its condition for further inspection. The truck is currently available for inspection at my residence. I purchased the truck in July, 2019. I was unaware of the extent of the rust until this past year. I noticed a small hole in the frame, and currently, the frame looks to be missing 20% of its circumference.

Hit a minor pothole at 70 MPH, had sudden "death wobble" and almost lost control of the vehicle. 100, 410 miles on the vehicle, have had minor wobble in the past occasionally. Steering parts replaced at about 37,000 miles due to failures, installed a steering dampener years ago due to the potential problem, also current tires have less than 8,000 miles on them. Clearly a known danger to these vehicles, why no action?

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH and towing a 20-foot trailer with a back yard shed on the trailer, the contact hit a pothole on the highway that caused the steering wheel to turn violently to the left. The contact regained control and guided the vehicle off the roadway. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the front tie rod ends, steering linkage, and power steering module needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V528000 (Steering). The failure mileage was approximately 260,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel was spinning freely. There were no warning lights illuminated. While having the oil changed, the steering linkage fractured. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously repaired in 2019. There was no additional assistance provided. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 09E001000 (Steering). The failure mileage was 168,712.

The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

This has happened to me two times in 2014 and This has happened to me twice in 2014 and Oct/09/21 The windshield washer starts spraying all of a sudden blinding me then was able to get wiper to work. Windows wouldnt go down so i could see out. luck i was going about 25 miles an hour. I was about to gett on interstate going about 70 mph.that would have been bad . then the pickup died and i was able to pull over off the road with no power steering or brakes. I got out and disctmpionteed the battery to stop horn and windowwasher and wiper and the engine kept trying to star all the while smoke was coming from the tpmi fuse box

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 equipped with Michelin Tires, Tire Line: Defender LTX M/S, Tire Size: 265/70/R17, DOT Number: B7KP02EX. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the driver’s side front tire exploded, causing the headlight module to detach and crash into the windshield of the vehicle. The contact also stated that the passenger’s side rear tire exploded, causing the wheel to fracture into pieces. The dealer was made aware of the failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not provide any assistance. A case was opened. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 170,000. The tire failure mileages were unknown.

WHEN TRAVELING OVER 55 AND HIT BUMPS, POTHOLES, OR BRIDGE JOINTS THE CONDITION STARTS AND DOESN'T STOP UNTIL SLOWED TO LESS THAN 20 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. HAVE SPENT SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS TRYING TO FIX TO NO AVAIL. TRUCK ONLY HAD 52500 MILES WHEN THIS STARTED. I HAVE REPLACED STEERING SYSTEM WITH "NEW IMPROVED" VERSION, REPLACED SHOCKS, TRACK BAR BUSHINGS, STEERING STABILIZER, STEERING GEAR BOX STABILIZER, TIRES. TRUCK HAS ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 800 MILES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS DUE TO THE PROBLEM AND ONLY DRIVEN THAT FAR BECAUSE WHEN IT STARTED I WAS 500 MILES FROM HOME. COUPLE THIS WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG RECALL THAT SAID DO NOT DRIVE UNTIL REPLACED AND IT TOOK A YEAR TO GET PARTS. TO SAY I AM NOT HAPPY WITH CHRYSLER WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. THE "DEATH WOBBLE" IS VERY SERIOUS AND AFTER THINKING I HAD IT FIXED IT NEARLY CAUSED A MAJOR WRECK ON A 4 LANE INTERSTATE WHILE PULLING A 26' TRAILER LOADED WITH ATV'S, RUNNING 65 MPH AND RAN OVER AN EXPANSION JOINT AT A BRIDGE. I CLEARED ALL 4 LANES TRYING TO GET IT UNDER CONTROL, EVERYONE WAS GOING IN ALL DIRECTIONS TO GET AWAY FROM ME. I HAVE A 2007 DODGE RAM 2500 POWER WAGON WITH ONLY 131K MILES . AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY HOME FROM WORK AT AROUND 60 MPH MY WHOLE FRONT END STARTED TO SHAKE LIKE CRAZY AND I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK . I HAD TO STOP AND PULL OFF THE ROAD . LOOKING UNDER THE TRUCK I DO NOT SEE ANYTHING THAT LOOKS BROKEN OR DAMAGED. SO I WENT ONLINE AND ALOT OF PEOPLE ONLINE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AS I DID . I WAS TOLD THEY ARE OPEN RECALLS FOR FRONT END PARTS GOING BAD ON MY TRUCK YEAR MODEL . I CALLED MY LOCAL DEALER THE SERVICE TECH WAS HAPPY TO HELP UNTIL I SAID RECALL ISSUES ON THE FRONT END ON THE TRUCK THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN HIS DATA BASE SYSTEM WENT DOWN SO HE WILL HAVE TO CALL ME BACK . ALL I NEED IS JUST A ANSWER ON IF THERE IS A OPEN RECALLL SO THAT I CAN HAVE IT REPAIRED . RIGHT NOW I AM SCARED TO MOVE MY TRUCK .

TRUCK WONDERS ALL OVER ROAD DRIVING STRAIGHT DOWN ROAD AND THE WORST PART ID THIS TRUCK ONLY HAS 86.000 ORIGINAL MILES! THE FACTORY STEERING BOX IS GARBAGE AND IN 2009 THEY UPGRADED THESE STEERING BOXES CAUSE THEY KNEW THE ORIGINAL STEERING BOX WAS TRASH...ITS SCARY TO DRIVE THIS TRUCK WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC
