Abs engages the truck rolls forward 10 to 20 ft. Before it stops. There was a recall that was done on the truck but the issue still continues. Nobody will help me. It's still a problem?
Truck does not want to stay in the road. It hops to the right with the steering not being turned. Cannot tell when it is going to do it.

Tire size was not correct. Actual was lt265/70r17 Rating 121/118S Just had two tires installed on the rear of the said truck. While pulling 5 ton bumper pull trailer, the amount of sidewall flex on these tires made it dangerous to drive. The amount of reverse track, which I don't know how to explain other than when you turn left the back of the vehicle will actually swing out (in the case of a left steering input, the back of the vehicle will go right, racing drivers also call this being lose). When other vehicles especially larger vehicles like semis past my vehicle or even the trailer behind it, it would push the back end of my vehicle and induce a turn... Talk about white knuckle driving .. I only drove about 200 mi to get home after having the cooper tires installed, I'm having them removed immediately as they are extremely dangerous to drive with. When I talked to Cooper they mention these tires were specifically made for Walmart, they are quite cheap. Also, the only reason I bought them is because I was on the side of the road with another tire that had separated tread but it was due to age and needed to get home. Walmart was the only tire place that could install tires. The previous michelins I had on there were great and did not have this issue(only the rear tires were replaced) I am working with Cooper and their satisfaction guaranteed promise, where they will switch them out with different tires and I just pay the difference, but I do not believe these tires should be sold to the public with that weight rating. Sadly just a week before Walmart put on passenger tires on that same truck when it called for light truck tires. But that's a different issue all in itself It almost felt like the tires were under inflated, but they are perfectly at 70 PSI as required by Dodge. I checked this pressure the next day to confirm

Headlights- the passenger side headlight would come on then go off whenever it wants to and now the low beam does not work. I have tested the connection and replaced the bulb several times and still does not work. When driving at night it makes it difficult to see. And is also against the law to not having working headlights. Trailer lights- the drivers side brake light/blinker on any trailer that’s hooked to my truck does not work. I have taken it the a local shop (street dynamics which is out of business now) several times over the last 5 years to see if they can fix the issue. The fix was to put a jumper wire from the truck brake light to the trailer connector. I still do not have a blinker on the driver side of the trailer. Windshield wipers- the windshield wipers will come on and off whenever they want. Some times when it is raining they will turn on with the switch then will turn off while driving or will stay on after the switch is turned off. The switch has been replaced and did not change anything. It is dangerous to drive the truck during inclement weather. I am a Police officer and have been for 17 years. In the last 12 plus years I have owned the truck which is a 2006 Dodge 2500 I have been told by several dodge technicians and mechanics that the issues I’m having is being caused by the TIPM. While researching the tipm I have found out all of my trucks issues are similar to a lot of other people’s 2006 dodge 2500s. I have had issues with the trailer brake lights since I bought it.

The pickup has had issue with being very difficult to come out of park. Upon searching internet is seems this is very common and expensive to fix being one of two (or both) things. The shift cable linkage and bushings premature wear, or the valve body release allowing the shifter to be removed from park. Either way concern is this will fail causing inability to shift safely into park and prevent an accident. Extremely unsafe. I have been advised this was already corrected by qualified dealer, but no change. Vehicle has just under 93,000 miles on it and only highway
This happened on my 2006 Dodge 2500 truck. I have had this truck since brand new and have maintained vigorously. Fortunately I was only going 25mph on the back road from my house. If this had happened on the highway I may not be here to tell this story. I felt like I had a flat tire so i stopped and didn't see anything so I started again and drove about a foot and then heard this loud crunching sound. I got out to find the center of my wheel had separated for the inside of the wheel. When I bought the truck I got the premium wheel package. The chrome covers are made on the wheel. I think what happened is because the chrome covers are made on the wheel there is no way to see that the wheel is rusting from the inside out and the owner has no idea they are driving a time bomb waiting to happen. My truck is almost rust free. I always took care to wash the salt off it in the winter 3 or 4 times a week. The truck has spent the last 10 years in Florida. I have never in my life ever seen this happen. I have no idea where the hub cap or the chrome cover went.
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started wobbling, and the contact lost control of the vehicle and almost crashed. The contact stated the failure had been persisted for a while. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,000.
This is a safety concern I have faced on multiple occasions with this pickup. I have owned it since new and kept up on maintenance and recalls. Today it happened again. What it is, the windshield wipers will erratically wipe, sometimes not wipe, not shut off, as well as come on at random. I reside in the wet side of the state of Oregon where it can be super dangerous to loose wipers in a torrential downpour of rain or snow. This pickup get use predominately for pulling trailers, which yet again adds another layer of danger when I lose much visibility of the road ahead of me. The first time this got really bad I took it to the dealer out of warranty and they diagnosed for three hours to tell me it was 90% probable that it was the Total Ingratiated Power Control Module. I said yes I will pay the total combined $1,400 to hopefully fix the problem. At times after this it has had occasional issues. Today, [XXX], it was acting about like it did the years ago that the dealer extracted, what I felt to be good money, to fix windshield wipers. I suspect in the round of diagnosis they may have messed with the wiper motor and made things marginally better for the years that I have since got out of it. On the dealer fix I researched the problem and it seemed to be kinda common in 2006 Dodge Rams at the time. Today I was doing more research to go about fixing this problem myself since the dealer fix has always been unsatisfactory to me. In this research I found two recalls for 2008-2009 Dodge Rams (NHTSA campaign #s 09V08400 & 09E009000) with what sound to be the same problem. Did a little more digging and between the part numbers, the parts appear to be the same between the model year 2006 & 2008 Dodge Ram, 2500 SLT diesel engine (this probably true to other trim and drive train too). Should this recall be extended to other vehicles that also share the same part, if it is truly the same part off the factory floor? I know I fight similar trouble. The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that the transfer case was making abnormal shifting sounds while the vehicle was parked. The contact stated that the transfer case was replaced; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was parked while he was working in the garage. The contact stated that he heard a clicking sound coming from the engine, and the vehicle started rolling backwards towards the street. The contact stated that he immediately entered the vehicle and engaged the electronic parking brake, and the vehicle stopped. The contact also stated that the vehicle hesitated to shift into the proper gear while driving. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in TSB Number: 18-091-22. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the computer was flashed; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and contacted the dealer; however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 223,800.
Good Morning! On April 9, 2023 I was going to pickup my Son in his 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 at LAX. He was returning from a 3 week trip to Chile. After taking the transmission out of gear I attempted to start the truck, but the battery was dead. I got out of the cab and released what I thought was the hood release but released the emergency brake instead. The front wheel was turned at about a 40 deg. angle to the right in my driveway which is on about a 15 deg slope to the street. The truck rolled back pinning my left leg under the left front tire, while the open drivers side door pushed me towards the now moving wheel. the left front wheel continued to roll over my left hand and my right chest grazing my left side of my head. The truck continued to roll down the street and into a neighbors truck. I suffered 13 broken ribs, a collapsed right lung, a partially collapsed left lung, a broken shoulder, and a broken left eye socket bone, deep vein thrombosis in both lower legs, 2 weeks in the ICU, 1 week in the hospital and 1 week in rehab. I am presently in home rehab. The man across the street from me at one time worked as a service manager / mechanic for a local automotive shop, and told me that he has made the same mistake many times of mistaken the emergency brake release for the hood release. I would recommend relocating the brake release to the right of the steering wheel on all vehicles that have a foot actuated emergency brake.

November 2022-While trying to use my windshield wipers to clean my front windshield I noticed I could not turn them off plus they would move super fast then very slow. Over the next few months my windshield wipers would sometimes work normal but now they are consistently running sporadically: running fast, slowing down starting and stopping on their own. This is a very dangerous situation during a rain storm and I am going to take my truck into the dealer for repair but for safety reasons, this needs to get looked into for recall.
We were driving down the highway and it started doing the death wobble.
We were driving down the highway and it started doing the death wobble.
During a recent snowstorm, the windshield wipers started acting erratically. The wiper delay function no longer works. The wipers operate at one speed, when they work, and do not turn off when I turn the switch off. They seem to time out after awhile and stop wherever they happen to be on the windshield, not the lower parked position.
The truck is currently at a service station as it developed a "death wobble" while driving down the freeway a shimmed so hard I couldn't control it but managed to get it to the side of the road and finally to a stop. I did not receive any type of warning. I am being told by the mechanic at the service station it is going to require a rebuild of the front suspension. After checking to see if this has been a recall issue, I found there had been 3 but I did not receive notification of this particular recall. Not sure if the age of the truck prevents me from going back to have Dodge resolve this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The windshield wipers stopped working as Hurricane Nicole was hitting Lantana Florida. Got truck home and replaced wiper motor. Did not fix the problem. Replaced the Multi-function Switch (Mopar part#56049823AB) Did not fix problem. This happened around 1:00 pm. I was in traffic. It took about 1 1/2 hour to drive 10 miles because of rain bands from the storm. The wipers stopped working at regular speed and moved in slow motion at high speed, then stopped working altogether. I have not been to the dealer. I am told its probably the Body Control Module (BCM). This sound expensive. This happened 11/9/22

1. The Panic Alarm randomly goes off without be activated by anyone. Possibly a TIPM issue which couldn't be investigated because it randomly went away. Maybe it will go off in the middle of the night in my subdivision. Who knows it's unpredictable. 2. Right Turn Signal & Stop Light would not work on the trailer. I confirmed that it wasn't an issue with the trailer but it was a problem with the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) Output (not working). The TIPM has a LONG history of intermittent electrical failures. This is a Safety Issue and a vehicle investigation for ALL vehicles that have TIPMS. TIPMS have been known to cause random vehicle stall & other intermittent random electrical failures and shut downs since 2006 when they were first put in vehicles. A RECALL is long overdue because this is ONLY 1 example of a minor problem. I've only owned the vehicle for 1 week...what's next? TIPMS can cause the vehicle to act intermittently crazy. No warning lamps or fault messages.

The climate control will not change to defrost. It will only blow out the dash vents. My windshield foged up while driving 70mph and I could not see. Had to stop every few miles to use my t-shirt to clean it off. Very dangerous what if I was on a small country road, there is not much room for errors.

Drastic front end vibration and uncontrollable steering. Two incidents.
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH and hauling a travel trailer, the vehicle wobbled, and the contact lost control of the vehicle when the front driver's and passenger's tires went in different directions. The contact was able to pull over and park the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with fractured linkages and damaged strut rods. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the independent mechanic. Prior to the failure, the independent mechanic had replaced the stabilizer bar, tie rod end, steering ball joints, and linkages. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.
The TIPM module is bad. This part controls quite a bit of electrical current to various areas of the vehicle. It stalls when stopped at a traffic light, it is not sending the brake light information to an attached trailer (left side only), gauges inside the vehicle have stopped working (to name a few of the items being affected by this control). This part can be inspected as it is currently still on the vehicle. Safety is a concern due to either not being able to move out of the roadway, and also when pulling a trailer as no one will see turn signals or brake lights on the tow vehicle as the power isn't going to the trailer lights. I was informed of the malfunction at a trailer dealership. The problems have been getting worse over the last 4 years of ownership of this vehicle. The check engine light is currently on, even though what the computer read out gave has now been repaired. There has currently been no accident that this vehicle has been involved in.
While driving at highway speed in my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 truck, the truck's front wheels began to violently shake and wobble with incredible vibration and bumpy ride. I thought I would lose control of the vehicle. I slowed, turned on my emergency flashers and hit the brakes pulling off the interstate. After a few minutes I continued on only to have the same incident described happen again a few miles later. I contacted the local Chrysler dealership and made an appointment, detailing the incident. I was told my truck was not covered by a safety campaign.

In 2006, I bought this truck new and for the 3rd time I am again putting it in for repairs for the same problem, a /c blend doors. I do not believe this is a safety issue, but has cost me an average of $1000.00 each time (x3). The last visit I had the cooling system replaced (2019) and here again the same problem has happened again. This first time I had the dealer fix it and I recall that visit cost me around $2500.00. I still like this vehicle and it runs fine with 124.000 plus miles. But, if I decide to get rid of it it will be because of this A/C problem and will have an impact on what to replace it with.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-75 @70MPH, A LOUD BANG HAPPENED, TRUCK SHUT OFF, I GUIDED IT OFF THE ROAD. I HAD WIRES HANGING I LOOKED FURTHER AND SEEN THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BLEW APART. MY MECHANIC SAID IT HAD LOCKED UP. THE TRANSFER CASE, TRANSMISSION, FLOOR BOARD OF THE TRUCK WAS ALSO ALL DAMAGED. ALSO SAID I WAS LUCKY THAT THE TRUCK DID NOT CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THIS TRUCK IS A 2006 DODGE RAM 2500 HD. WELL TAKEN CARE OF. NO GIVEN REASON WHY THIS HAPPENED. MY MECHANIC SAID HE HAS SEEN THIS MANY TIMES IN THE DODGE TRUCKS THAT THE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BLOWS APART. TOTAL DAMAGES WILL BE THE COST OF $8,000-$10,000

WHILE DRIVING ON NORMAL PAVED ROAD, NO EXCESSIVE BUMPS) AT AROUND 40 MPH, THE FUEL TANK BRACKETS (STRAPS) BROKE AND THE FUEL TANK FELL TO THE GROUND. I HEARD IT RIGHT AWAY AND ONLY DROVE AN ADDITIONAL FEW SECONDS TO A SAFE PLACE TO PULL OFF THE ROAD (NOT KNOW WHAT INITIAL HAPPENED - THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS CAUGHT IN THE WHEEL WELL). WHEN I NOTICED THE PROBLEM, I IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND CALLED FOR A TOW TRUCK. WHILE WAITING, I CLEARLY NOTICED THE TANK STRAPS WERE RUSTED AND FAILED. ALSO WHILE WAITING FOR THE TOW TRUCK, I SEARCHED TO SEE IF OTHERS HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE. I FOUND THAT RAM DOES HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE, BUT IT DOESN'T COVER THE YEAR OF MY TRUCK. CLEARLY THE YEARS AFFECTED NEED TO BE EXPANDED AS MY VEHICLE HAD THE EXACT FAILURE THAT THE RECALL ADDRESSED. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 4, 2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:15 IN THE AFTERNOON ON RTE 122 IN BLACKSTONE MA JUST SOUTH OF THE MILLVILLE BORDER. NO POLICE EVER PASSED OR STOPPED BY. NO OTHER VEHICLES WERE INVOLVED.
DRAG LINK BROKE CAUSING LOSS OF STEERING. THIS WAS A DURALAST DRAG LINK P/N DS1463 PURCHASED FROM AUTOZONE IN 2018 TO REPLACE A BENT OEM PART. FAILURE OCCURRED AT 35MPH ON A DIRT ROAD AND I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY STOP. DRAG LINK BROKE AT UPPER END NEAR STEERING BOX AT THE MACHINED SHOULDER WHERE THE THREADS END. BEACH MARKS AND A DARK AREA INDICATE EXISTING CRACK AT THIS LOCATION FOR SOME TIME PRIOR TO FAILURE, HOWEVER THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF IMPENDING FAILURE PRIOR TO EVENT. TRUCK HAS EXPERIENCED RECENT PROBLEM WITH DEATH WOBBLE AT FREEWAY SPEEDS WHICH WAS CORRECTED BY TIRE CHANGE AND NEW SHOCK ABSORBERS.
