On February 3, 2026, my vehicle was taken to Rick Hendrick Chevrolet of Buford for diagnosis of a fuel system failure. The dealership charged a $235 diagnostic fee and concluded that the failure was caused by fuel contamination from an outside source. Based on this determination, my warranty claim w
... ith General Motors was denied and my case (#89096714) was closed. After this determination, the vehicle was transported to an independent diesel repair shop for further inspection. During the initial inspection, the technician removed the intake cover and discovered a large crack in the fuel injector pump. The pump had catastrophically failed and internally disintegrated, sending metal fragments throughout the fuel system. This clearly indicates the contamination originated from an internal mechanical failure of the fuel injector pump, not from outside fuel contamination. The independent technician confirmed that the injector pump failure caused metal debris to spread throughout the fuel system. Additionally, there was a visible leak at the front of the engine, which should have prompted further inspection in that area during the dealership’s diagnosis. It appears the dealership’s conclusion was based primarily on fuel sampling, without performing a full mechanical inspection of the injection pump and related components.Read more

Discontinued vehicle model still under active bumper to bumper warranty (thru 10/26); has faulty rear defroster/heated side mirrors that the "remedy" handed down to me was to "drive more" in an effort to charge battery to a threshold that allows said necessary safety feature to operate. If charge fa
... lls beneath 65% the vehicle terminates functionality of deemed "non-essential" operations to maintain major functions. Problem is, this feature is not optional. It needs to be available on demand AT ALL TIMES. Especially in the midst of a brutal upstate NY winter where the windows are quintessentially frosted over EVERY morning. There is but one mention of rear defroster operation in the 2023 Dodge Hornet owner manual on page 47. There is ZERO mention of driving X amount of miles or X amount of time to maintain functionality of the rear defroster/heated side mirrors. Devoid of this information in the manual, my expectation is for the company to find a remedy as I have owned many vehicles in my life and never have I ever had this sort of selective operation issue for a SAFETY feature. These vehicles rely on an Intelligent Battery Sensor to dictate to the car what the state of charge is for the battery. My battery was replaced by the dealer I bought this from in May '25 (have paperwork to prove) and the readings per the local dealer I had looking into this on two occasions this month were in the 60-65% range for battery capacity. No way a battery this young has been drained by a third of it's potential already. And if so, something larger is amiss that needs to be diagnosed and remediated PERMANENTLY. Me "driving more" is not a solution. Especially since it makes me incur unnecessary miles and expend more on gas which I will absolutely not do. Bringing this to light before warranty expiration later this year. The company is seemingly trying to do anything and everything to not put money into vehicles that are discontinued. Factory warranty ends 10/26.Read more

My Chevy dealer says this is a known problem with service bulletin "Chevrolet TSB 19-NA-220". In my opinion this is incredibly dangerous and should have been recalled. I am submitting this complaint regarding my 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe (VIN: [XXX] ) which has developed a severe transmission shudder at both low and highway speeds. The issue has been confirmed by my Chevrolet dealer, who provided an estimate of $5,492.18 for torque converter and valve body replacement.
... This failure is identical to the torque converter shudder problem documented in GM service bulletins and special coverage adjustments for other GM vehicles of the same make, model, and model year. However, my VIN is not currently included in those programs, leaving me without coverage despite experiencing the exact same defect. I believe this condition poses a serious safety risk, as the shudder occurs while driving at highway speeds, causing vibration, hesitation, and potential loss of control. These symptoms could lead to accidents if the vehicle fails to respond properly during acceleration or lane changes. Given that this appears to be a widespread defect affecting multiple GM vehicles, I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate and consider expanding any related recall or special coverage programs to include affected VINs such as mine. Please let me know if further documentation, service records, or dealer estimates are needed to support my complaint. Thank you for your time and for working to ensure vehicle safety. I had been having trouble with my Footwell Module since the fall, but for months, I didn’t know what was going on!! The first time, October 2024, I went to Advance Auto Parts to get help bc it was raining and my windows were down, and I needed headlights, not to mention, the signals weren’t wo
... rking. The second time it happened in January 2025, I didn’t go to Advance, I just disconnected the battery myself for a few hours. The third time it happened, first week of April 2025, I got home that night, cut my engine off, and noticed a light in my dash I hadn’t seen before. It was a fog lamp bulb, but the car was off, and it wasn’t like normal, it was an error light. When I walked around to the front if the car, I saw my fog lamps were still on, which was weird. All lights were off on toe column and dash. So, I restarted my Mini and cut her back off again, then the fog lamps went off. I had no park lights, or headlights then either. I didn’t check my windows. If they did go down they may not go back up! I didn’t check my turn signals either. I was just happy the fogs went off… It was after much research, that I ‘figured’ out what was going on with my Mini concerning all of the intermittent craziness, but it never occurred to me that there was a fire hazard. I actually looked into purchasing an FRM back in February, and had put it into my shopping cart, but it cost more than I could gather together at one time. I am pretty sure that is why my Mini caught fire & burned to a total loss on April 18, 2025. There is no other explanation. She ran too good. She was my dream car. She would boot, scoot & boogie!
