3rd failure of EGR valve (GM part 12691147, superseded by 19436521) on this vehicle. 10/10/2019 at 11,336 mi: Check Engine Light and Driver Information Center displayed "Loss of Propulsion" message; EGR valve diagnosed as cause and replaced by dealer under warranty at no cost. 11/2023 at approx. 30,
... 000 mi: EGR valve failed again; dealer stated OEM part was no longer available from manufacturer due to supply shortage and installed a third-party replacement part; repair not covered, paid out of pocket. 8/26/2026 at 49,864 mi: EGR valve failed a third time; a used, refurbished part was sourced due to continued unavailability of a reliable new OEM part, with repair scheduled for 9/14/2026, again paid out of pocket. This is a known, recurring failure on 2016-2019 Chevrolet Volts, referenced in GM Technical Service Bulletin 19-NA-206. The failure does not present only as an emissions fault — it triggers a "Loss of Propulsion" driver warning, indicating a direct impact on the vehicle's ability to be safely driven. Sustained unavailability of the OEM part is forcing owners toward third-party or used/refurbished parts of unknown long-term reliability, at repeated cost to the owner, in order to keep the vehicle operable.Read more

2016 Kia Sedona with power sliding doors. Both rear power sliding doors fail to completely latch upon closing. Doors make loud clicking sounds while attempting to close and require manual pushing to latch. Kia of Attleboro diagnosed and confirmed in writing that both rear door roller arm assemblies
... are completely missing the roller, and that this condition is contributing to the latching failure. Both power sliding door motors and rear door latches also need replacement. This is a safety hazard as the doors may appear closed but are not fully latched, posing a serious risk of doors opening while driving, particularly with children as passengers. The condition has been confirmed in writing by a Kia dealership. Kia Motors America issued Warranty Bulletin WTY019 in March 2021 specifically extending coverage for this exact latching condition on 2015-2017 Sedona vehicles to 15 years/unlimited miles. The covered components (motors and latches) have been approved for warranty replacement. However, Kia America has denied coverage for the roller arm assemblies despite their own dealer's written confirmation that these parts are directly contributing to the covered latching failure. Components are available for inspection upon request. No warning lamps appeared prior to failure. Problem developed gradually with increasing noise before doors failed to latch completely.Read more

While I was trying to move to the shoulder there were tractor trailers behind me and to my right that began flashing their lights because my speed drastically dropped and was unable to safely stay with the flow of traffic in the heavy rain. While still in Drive car started changing through notices on my digital screen "Check Blind-Spot Safety system" "Check Forward Safety system" with the car crash icon, and "Check Driver Attention Warning (DAW) system." Then I began trying to press the accelerator pedal again and the car would not move at all but the tachometer was going to 2x1000rpm. When I turned the car off and turned it back on again the engine light was still on, but the accelerator pedal was responsive. About an hour later when the tow truck driver from AAA attempted to drive the car on to the flat bed the accelerator pedal was unresponsive again. This was at least the fifth time my vehicle had lost propulsion without warning. Every prior time Bowser Hyundai had different reasons for the failure, made a repair, and said it was safe to drive. Another incident occurred 4/7/2026 using cruise control at 84 mph when the car unexpectedly lost propulsion. The accelerator was again unresponsive, I was on the turnpike with two children in the vehicle. I steered towards the shoulder and the car slowed to a stop. After that incident, Bowser Hyundai replaced the transmission on the car. I own a 2025 Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The vehicle has recurring software defects that create a serious safety risk. First, the infotainment and central control system repeatedly reboots while I am driving. On a single trip from Washington, DC to Burlington, Vermont, the system rebooted appr
... oximately 8 to 10 times. It has also rebooted within minutes of starting the vehicle during local driving. Each reboot blanks the center display, which disables the backup/parking camera and interrupts the speedometer and driver-information display, climate controls, and other functions. Losing these displays and controls while the vehicle is in motion is a significant safety hazard. Second, after installing a Volvo over-the-air (OTA) software update, the vehicle was rendered completely inoperable. It would not unlock or start and could not be accessed through the key fob or the Volvo Cars app, and it had to be towed to the dealer. Based on numerous owner reports, failed OTA updates that disable the vehicle this way are a known, recurring problem on these models. Third, the front and rear parking cameras have both cracked during normal use, with no impact damage, and the vehicle displays a "parking cameras need cleaning" message at nearly every stop. No crash or injury has occurred. I have reported these issues to the selling dealer and to Volvo customer care. The reboot and lockout problems are recurring and have not been durably resolved.Read more

The vehicle’s secondary Autopilot Processor / car computer is internally faulted and stuck in a continuous wake/shutdown loop. This causes severe standby battery drain (~20 miles of range lost per day while parked) and completely prevents all over-the-air software updates - including federally man
... dated safety recall remedies. On April 4, 2024, Tesla Service diagnosed the fault and linked it to the drain and inability to update. On the same visit, Tesla added two safety recalls (23V-838 Autosteer controls and 24V-051 Brake/Park/ABS indicators) to the work order. They then demanded ~$3,000 customer payment for computer replacement before the recalls could be performed. After I declined the paid repair, Tesla marked both recalls as “completed” via software update despite the same invoice stating the vehicle could not receive updates and remained on software version 2023.38.9 (which predates both remedy firmwares they claimed was installed). Tesla is effectively paywalling federally required safety recall remedies by requiring the customer to first pay for computer replacement first. Two additional recalls remain open (21V-389 seat belt fasteners and 24V-554 hood latch). The problem has been confirmed and documented multiple times by Tesla Service.Read more

Vehicle Issue Description – 2020 Ford Explorer Limited (Transmission Failure) The issue involves the transmission system in a 2020 Ford Explorer Limited. The transmission began exhibiting hard and erratic shifting, particularly between lower gears and when decelerating to a stop. A within days ex
... perienced complete failure, leaving the vehicle unable to properly move or engage gears. There were no warning lights, messages, or dashboard indicators at any point prior to the failure. This lack of warning prevented any opportunity to address the issue before it became severe. This failure created a significant safety risk, as the vehicle became unreliable in traffic conditions. Hard shifting and delayed engagement made it difficult to predict acceleration and deceleration, increasing the risk of being rear-ended or unable to safely merge into traffic. The final failure rendered the vehicle inoperable, which could have been dangerous if it occurred in a high-traffic or unsafe location. The problem appears consistent with known transmission issues reported by other owners of 2020 Ford Explorers, including hard shifting, jerking, hesitation between gears, and sudden loss of drivability. Many drivers report similar symptoms progressing to severe transmission problems or complete failure. At this time: •Confirmation by dealer or service center: 3/18/26 Despite the number of similar complaints and documented issues, there has not been a specific recall issued for the transmission system itself, although other drivetrain-related recalls (such as rear axle or driveline failures) have been issued for this model year. Based on the pattern of symptoms and widespread reports, this appears to be a systemic issue affecting the transmission in this model year, rather than an isolated incident.Read more

I own a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan SE R-Line purchased new in August 2025. Since shortly after purchase, the vehicle has exhibited a recurring safety defect where the electronic parking brake engages without driver input and the vehicle shifts itself into Park. This happens suddenly and without warning.
... This defect occurs multiple times per week, on average (upwards of 50+ times total since purchase) under varied low-speed conditions, including at stoplights, while slowly moving through traffic, and during parking maneuvers, etc. When it occurs, the vehicle stops abruptly as Park is engaged. This creates a significant risk of being rear-ended or losing control in an intersection or traffic lane. There are no warning lights, chimes, or alerts beforehand. The behavior is intermittent and unpredictable, so there is no way to anticipate or prevent it during normal driving. This has not yet caused a collision, but there have been near-miss situations in traffic due to the sudden stop. I notified the dealership when the vehicle was new, but because the model had only recently been released and the defect could not be reproduced on demand, there was no formal inspection or repair, and no guidance was provided. The issue has continued multiple times per week since then. I have now found other 2025 Tiguan owners reporting the same behavior, which suggests this may be a broader safety defect rather than an isolated case. I am requesting an investigation due to the frequency of occurrence and the clear collision risk associated with unintended braking and shifting into Park.Read more

Unexpected rear wheel lock-up at 29000 miles. While engine braking from highway speed onto an off-ramp at approximately 50 mph, the rear wheels unexpectedly locked up. Due to prior rear brake actuator issues, I suspected the emergency brake had activated without my input. It was only momentary, and
... no fault codes or warnings were displayed. It happened again under the same circumstances two months later, with no fault codes. On May 9, 2025, the check engine light came on, and I scheduled service. The dealer addressed a recall regarding the transmission by installing software. In August 2025, I received a letter from GM regarding recall N242454440 for excessive wear in the transmission control valve, which was causing rear-wheel lockup. On October 31, 2025, while towing a small enclosed trailer at 70 mph on the highway with cruise control engaged, the truck suddenly decelerated, and I was nearly rear-ended by a semi-truck (no brake lights to warn them). The truck would not go over 50 mph unless I was going downhill. The transmission would not shift into higher gears. I returned it to the dealer, who checked the computer and found no record of the incident, so they said there was no problem. They informed me that the new software was designed to limit the truck's speed if a potential lockup was detected. This recall did not fix the transmission problem or the safety issue. It was simply a way to avoid costly repairs. There is a problem with the physical transmission valve that, for me, resulted in an extremely dangerous situation. The NHTSA needs to take this issue seriously and require GM to replace the prematurely worn valves in the affected vehicles.Read more

This is for a 2022 Holiday Rambler Admiral 28a motorhome. While driving my dashboard started to move and make a lot of noise. After I returned home I took it to have someone look at it. They informed me that the welds that hold the motorhome to the frame were all breaking and the steel was musroomi
... ng from the weight. I talked to REV which is the manufacturer and they told me they decline to participate in fixing this very serious issue. Basically the house part of the motorhome could detach from the frame causing serious injury or death to me and my family. I feel this is probably not an isolated incident to my motorhome.Read more

One to two times per month upon starting my Cybertruck I receive multiple notifications for systems not working including "Driver Assistance - Automatic Emergency Braking is unavailable" and "Steering & Braking - Adaptive ride control degraded/Ride comfort may be reduced." These alerts cause the di
... sablement of the regenerative braking, auto-hold (braking), emergency braking, adaptive ride control, traction control, and the self drive features. While the vehicle is still drivable, my ability to control the vehicle is greatly diminished, as is the safety of the vehicle without any of the accident avoidance and stability systems working. After driving in this condition, if I park the vehicle, exit it, and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, all systems are normal upon reentry. On 1/5 I experienced this issue and opened a service request for warranty work and Tesla demanded that I agree to a $200 charge before they would even look at it and said if they were unable to see the issue then it would not be considered as warranty. Since I cannot reproduce this issue on demand I cancelled the service request as I do not want to pay them $200 to say they couldn't reproduce the issue. Internet searches have revealed that this is a common issue among Cybertrucks and despite multiple software updates since owning my vehicle, it has not gotten any better.Read more
