Interior drivers side door handle broken. I thought it was the locking mechanism having issues and i had to hold the locking plastic tab in the unlock position to open the door from the inside. After the 3rd time exiting my tacoma the door handle snapped. Now i how to open the door from the outside by rolling down the window, making it inconvenient in the rain.

I was driving on the freeway in my Toyota Tundra when it suddenly shut off completely. It was honestly terrifying because my first thought was getting rear-ended in traffic. After about 15 seconds, the truck randomly turned back on by itself, but the whole situation really shook me up. A vehicle that new shouldn’t be doing something that dangerous.

2018 Nissan Versa transmission issues. i have 2018 Nissan Versa with 116,993 miles. Transmission is starting to skip and slip. it was diagnosed as a possible chain slip. there was bulletin out for this issue in which Nissan has known about. The vehicle was presented to an authorized Kia dealership service center for diagnosis. The dealership completed a static "Bearing Clearance Test" (BCT) which resulted in a procedural pass. However, the authorized service advisor explicitly stated on a recorded voicemail that the engine "is having issues" and that the dealership "can't put on the ticket that everything is completely safe". Voicemail recording can be provided. Despite acknowledging on the record that the vehicle is unsafe to operate, the dealership and manufacturer refused to authorize the necessary engine replacement repair, citing the static test result. Furthermore, dealership staff instructed the consumer (myself) to continue operating the admittedly unsafe vehicle in traffic until a catastrophic failure occurs on the road to force a diagnostic test failure. The manufacturer's reliance on a test protocol that fails to identify physically disintegrating components, combined with instructing consumers to drive vehicles admitted to be unsafe, constitutes an extreme and ongoing safety hazard.Read more

My vehicle activates the emergency braking system while driving. It has happened several times now, almost causing a collision. I took it to the dealership, they held it for a week and gave it back to me telling me they could not find anything wrong with it. They did not fix anything at all. It has since done it once more.

The windshield wiper fluid is built into the wipers. The fluid sprays at the edge of my windshield, thus not spraying the windshield at all, and all fluid is lost. The braking system failed, specifically a brake line rupture/failure that resulted in a complete loss of braking function. The issue has been diagnosed by the Kansas City Land Rover Dealership as a faulty brake line rupture without warning. However, there are photo of the ruptured brake line, located where the aluminum line joins with the rubber line. A full independent inspection was completed. The vehicle has been involved in a police-reported accident, and insurance has been notified. The vehicle has also been transferred to a AAA or IAA facility, but is deemed totaled by my insurance. There was a visual inspection by the dealership in Kansas City, where they informed me that they found a break or rupture in the front passenger brake line. There were no warning lights, messages, or noticeable symptoms prior to the failure. The loss of braking occurred suddenly and without prior indication while the vehicle was in operation, causing a T-bone collision with another vehicle.Read more

The plastic coolant crossover valve or pipe failed at 66,000 miles and 5 years of usage. This led to the radiator cracking. After researching online, I read about thousands of Tacoma 3rd generation users with the same issue. Also, the same issue was recalled for several other models of Toyotas but not the Tacoma.

Vehicle experiences intermittent steering sticking/catching while turning. In March 2026, an independent repair facility verified the steering concern and documented: “Technician found Rack and Pinion will lock when manually turning.” The technician also referenced Honda Technical Service Bulletin / Safety Recall 18-103 regarding the 2017–2018 Honda CR-V EPS gearbox and recommended steering
... rack replacement. Immediately afterward in March 2026, the vehicle was inspected by Honda after the steering concern was reported, and no steering gearbox issue was identified at that time. Now, in May 2026, Honda is diagnosing the EPS steering rack/gearbox assembly and recommending replacement at an estimated cost of approximately $5,000. Although this VIN was reportedly not included in the original recall population, the vehicle is exhibiting steering symptoms substantially similar to the defect described in Honda’s EPS gearbox recall documentation. Because this condition affects steering responsiveness and safe vehicle control, and appears to be progressively worsening, we are requesting investigation into whether similar EPS steering defects may exist outside the originally identified VIN range.Read more

Two of the times they stopped in the up position and once they stopped in the middle of the stroke and it was hard to see. While driving this vehicle, the brake line was cut after making contact with the A arm assembly, at the highest point on the line. I immediately lost my brakes as the brake pedal went to the floor. Simultaneously, the electronic gear selector became unresponsive and would not change gears. The combined failure resulted in a near-collision; no impact or injuries occurred. Both affected systems remain in the vehicle and are availa
... ble for inspection upon request. The rearview camera is federally required equipment under FMVSS No. 111. Its failure to display when reverse was selected, combined with an unresponsive gear selector, left the driver with neither rear visibility nor the ability to shift out of gear to avoid a hazard. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center. The defect was reported to Lucid Motors by email on February 9, 2026. As of this filing, Lucid has not scheduled a diagnostic appointment for this failure, and no technician has inspected the camera or gear selector. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or any other party in connection with this incident. Prior to the February 6 failure, the vehicle displayed persistent warnings since delivery, including a non-dismissible dashboard warning symbol and error messages for the surround view camera, rear steering, high beam assist, and headlights. These were first observed within days of delivery on December 16, 2025, and formally reported to Lucid on January 7, 2026. Whether these warnings were directly related to the backup camera or gear selector failure is UNKNOWN; my best assessment is that the surround view camera error and dashboard warning may have been early indicators of a broader camera or software fault, though this has not been diagnosed by the manufacturer.Read more

Prior to the February 6 failure, the vehicle displayed persistent warnings since delivery, including a non-dismissible dashboard warning symbol and error messages for the surround view camera, rear steering, high beam assist, and headlights. These were first observed within days of delivery on December 16, 2025, and formally reported to Lucid on January 7, 2026. Whether these warnings were directly related to the backup camera or gear selector failure is UNKNOWN; my best assessment is that the surround view camera error and dashboard warning may have been early indicators of a broader camera or software fault, though this has not been diagnosed by the manufacturer.Read more

The component or system failed is the CVT transmission. The safety of the vehicle is very risky because when you drive it; it gets ready to cut off. The transmission has been confirmed that it is the problem by the independent service center. Yes, the vehicle has been inspected by a transmission company. There were no warning signs or symptoms of the problem.
