Tried to turn on vehicle one morning and it would not start due a parking brake error message & a warning light on the dashboard. The message on the screen behind the steering wheel stated “park brake fault service now” and there was a clicking noise heard coming from underneath the truck. I tried to reset the parking brake by pressing and holding the button as indicated online but it didn’t
... work. The brake also physically revolted at me pressing down on it and would stutter/thump and not let me press it down fully without heavy resistance. The clicking noise continued randomly even when I was not in the vehicle. Then the door locks stopped working with my car keys, I could only open the drive door manually. I had no means to jumpstart my battery. I called Ford local dealership to come check the issue incase it was a recall issue that had not been reported for my vehicle yet. They are scheduled to come Monday 6/1/26.Read more

I am writing to formally and collectively express my growing alarm and frustration regarding the widespread failure and unavailability of the ABS control module (commonly referenced as Mopar part number 68259556XX) used in 2011–2018 Wrangler JKs. This component is a critical element of my vehicles' anti-lock braking, traction control, and electronic stability control systems—features required
... for safe operation and federally mandated since 2012. For over two years now, owners have documented sudden ABS module failures that result in: Complete loss of ABS and ESC functionality “Limp mode” behavior, dramatically reducing drivability Illumination of multiple brake system warning lights Vehicles becoming inoperable or unsafe to drive Failure to pass state safety inspections (in states like NY and PA) This safety-critical component has been placed on indefinite backorder, and in many cases completely discontinued, leaving no viable path for repair or replacement. Some dealerships have confirmed that new replacement modules issued in 2023–2024 were defective or failed to program properly, and were later placed on engineering hold by Jeep corporate. In the meantime, affected owners have been forced to seek out unreliable salvaged units or third-party rebuilders at their own cost and risk. Despite the clear danger posed by these failures, Stellantis has not issued a formal recall, technical service bulletin, or warranty extension for Wrangler JK owners. This inaction stands in stark contrast to: The recall of over 200,000 Grand Cherokees and Durangos (Recall ID 94B) for ABS/ESC failures in 2024 The recall of over 300,000 Ram 2500/3500 trucks for similar brake module issues in 2025 The parallels are undeniable. Jeep Wrangler JK owners are experiencing the same dangerous loss of safety systems, yet have been left without acknowledgment, recourse, or remedy. This inconsistency is unacceptable. My family cannot afford to buy another car to replace this Jeep.Read more

Prior to the oil change service, the front AC vents were functioning properly. Immediately after the dealership serviced the vehicle, the front vents stopped blowing air. This issue was not present before the visit. Regardless of whether the dealership believes an oil change “should not” affect the AC system, the fact remains that the problem arose directly after the vehicle was in their posse

The rod bearings failed in the engine. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection. Rod bearing failure can cause complete engine seizure while driving, creating a serious risk of losing vehicle control at any speed. This is a known issue with Hyundai's Theta II engine. Yes. The dealership performed a diagnostic on April 27, 2025 and confirmed rod bearing failure. Ye
... s. The dealership inspected the vehicle and Hyundai corporate opened a warranty case and arranged the repair appointment, initially confirming coverage before later denying the claim without providing documentation. The dealership has also repeatedly failed to provide documentation supporting the denial of my warranty claim despite my requests beginning April 29, 2025. I have also been unable to get callbacks from the dealership after being promised updates on May 1st, May 7th, and after requesting a manager on May 18th. As of May 27, 2025 I have still not received any documentation or a callback. The check engine light came on prior to the failure. I proactively checked and changed the oil, added Lucas oil treatment, replaced the spark plugs, and replaced the battery attempting to diagnose and resolve the issue before bringing it to the dealership. No oil pressure warning light ever appeared. The check engine light persisted despite these efforts which is what led me to bring the vehicle in.Read more

The 10R80 transmission CDF drum failed due to a defective bushing housing, resulting in the replacement of the 10R80 transmission. The diagnosis of the failure took 3 weeks because there were no warning lights or engine codes. The symptoms of the failure were erratic shifting in heavy highway traffic, causing harsh up/down shifts and shift patterns. The erratic shifting makes driving feel unsafe,

Currently, with the new 10R80 transmission with the redesigned CDF drum bushing housing, similar symptoms of erratic up/down shift going between 20-40 mph and between gears 3-7 are present. The engine powertrain system, specifically the internal engine lubrication, timing chain, and camshaft sensors. The vehicle's Theta II engine suffers from systemic, excessive oil consumption, which starved the engine of lubrication. This caused the timing chain to stretch and mechanically fail, and compromised the camshaft sensors. The vehicle is currently un-repaired and is available for inspec
... tion upon request at Hyundai of Downtown LA. While driving, the engine suddenly stalled and completely shut off mid-drive without warning. This caused an immediate loss of motive power and a dangerous reduction in steering and braking control while surrounded by active traffic. Operating a vehicle that randomly shuts down on public roads presents an extreme, life-threatening safety hazard to myself, my passengers, and other drivers. Furthermore, the dealership is attempting to force me to drive the vehicle for an additional 1,000 miles in this stalling, un-repaired condition to complete a corporate oil test, compounding the safety risk. The failure and safety hazard have been physically confirmed and diagnosed by an authorized dealership: Hyundai of Downtown LA (3850 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90037). Their service department mechanically diagnosed the physical failure of the camshaft sensors, a stretched timing chain, and severe engine oil starvation. There were absolutely no dashboard warning lights, check engine lights, low oil pressure lamps, or messages prior to the engine stalling and shutting off. The vehicle computer failed to trigger any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) or dashboard warnings to alert me to the low oil level or the impending mechanical timing failure before the vehicle completely shut down mid-drive.Read more

I bought my 2018 Acura TLX a-spec V6 in Nov. 2021, certified pre-owned from an Acura dealer. It had warranty through 100k miles. At just under 70k miles, around mid-2023 I believe, the engine seized and would not start. Warranty covered engine replacement. This was just around the time of the 3.6L V6 engine recall. I waited on the recall because the engine was brand new at that point. A year or so
... later, deal did inspect the engine for recall, but determined it was not part of the recall. Come current to late April 2026, just before engine #2 hit 70k miles (total miles on car ~139,000), engine has seized again. Driving on freeway and car went into limp mode, thankfully close to home and made it safely. Had car towed next day to mechanic who sent a video of the knocking noise (can send video if requested; unable to upload here) and refused to work on it. He later drove the car down the block and that is when engine completely failed; no longer would turn on. Towed home, towed to dealer a week ½ later when they had opening. Dealer performed diagnostic and confirmed crankshaft seized. However, now, well past warranty coverage. I called Acura customer relations and opened a case; they will only cover "half" of the engine replacement, at a cost of $13,817 to me. My car is less than 10 years old, less than 150k miles overall and should NOT need engine #3. Will same issue happen after another 70k miles? Acura refuses to acknowledge and take care of it 100%.Read more

I am reporting a serious ongoing issue with my 2019 Honda Civic Sport involving the trunk repeatedly opening on its own both while driving and while parked. The issue is also causing the vehicle alarm to activate unexpectedly. The trunk has opened while the vehicle was in motion, creating a major safety concern. It also randomly opens while parked, sometimes triggering the alarm system for no app
... arent reason. The problem appears to happen intermittently but has become frequent enough that I no longer feel safe leaving the vehicle unattended or driving it normally. I attempted to clean the trunk latch area, but the issue continues. I believe there may be a malfunction involving the trunk latch, actuator, key fob system, electrical wiring, sensor, or alarm system. This situation is dangerous because the trunk can unexpectedly unlatch while driving, potentially blocking visibility or causing damage. The repeated alarm activations and trunk openings while parked are also causing concern about battery drain, security, and reliability. Vehicle Information: 2019 Honda Civic Sport Symptoms: • Trunk opens while driving • Trunk opens while parked • Alarm randomly activates • Trunk may not remain securely latched • Ongoing intermittent electrical or latch-related issue I am requesting that this issue be documented and inspected as soon as possible due to the safety risk involved.Read more

I own a 2018 Honda Accord with approximately 108,000 miles. My vehicle has experienced ongoing fuel system and drivability issues connected to the fuel pump recall. In addition, my vehicle experiences what many Honda owners refer to as the “Christmas lights” issue, where multiple warning lights suddenly illuminate across the dashboard at the same time. This appears to be a widespread complaint among owners of this model and is often associated with ongoing fuel system, electrical, or sensor-related problems. Honda vehicles are marketed as reliable, yet many owners of this model have reported similar problems related to the fuel system, injectors, limp mode, and dashboard warning light failures after the recall issues. I believe the prolonged delay in addressing the recall contributed to further damage to my vehicle. Honda should take responsibility for these known issues and provide assistance to affected customers.Read more

I am reporting a persistent steering problem with my 2024 Mazda CX-90. While driving, especially when the highway bends to the left, the steering wheel feels like it sticks or partially locks at a certain left-turn position. When I try to return the steering wheel back toward center to continue straight, I have to apply extra force to overcome the resistance. Once it breaks free, the steering retu
... rns, but the sticking creates an unsafe delay and unexpected steering effort. The problem is persistent and has happened repeatedly, not just one time. It is most noticeable when coming out of a left curve. If I steer farther left, it may not bind the same way, but at a certain steering angle it catches or sticks. This creates a safety risk because the vehicle may not smoothly return to straight-ahead steering after a curve, especially at highway speed. The unexpected resistance could cause overcorrection, lane departure, or loss of control. There were no warning lights or dashboard messages before or during the issue. The vehicle has not been repaired for this issue. A Mazda dealer stated there are no open recalls for the vehicle, but the symptom appears similar to reported CX-90 sticky steering / increased steering effort complaints and the prior Mazda steering recall campaign involving the steering gear/worm gear assembly. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The failed or malfunctioning system appears to be the steering system, possibly the electric power steering rack or steering gear assembly.Read more

An antifreeze leak is very hard to locate because Ford’s design placed the water pump INside the engine rather than on the OUTside, which would be more the norm. If antifreeze leaks enough, it gets into the oil and the entire engine stands to be destroyed. Our heater quit blowing warm air recently and after intently searching we discovered that we had an antifreeze leak inside of our engine, an
... d antifreeze was slowly leaking out through a weephole in the engine. The water pump had gone bad and needed replacing. The hours required to replace this water pump are intense and they are long. Almost the entire engine needs to be dismantled in order to perform the work. Not only does the pump need changed, but so does the timing chain, hoses, seals, gaskets, tensioners and other engine parts, all at the same time, making this a VERY costly out-of-pocket expense for us elderly people who have long relied on Ford’s standard of doing what’s right by its people. In our research we found that the water pumps in Flex engines are failing, regularly, once the vehicle is close to having 80,000 miles on it. This repair most DEFINITELY should be covered by recall since it is happening so regularly. We have just been forced to pay for this repair on our own and I would like to please ask for your help in recovering what we’ve had to spend. Will you please provide contact information as to where we can reach out for assistance in this matter? Your help is VERY much appreciated! Thank you!Read more

While driving my 2025 Chevrolet Equinox, the vehicle experienced a sudden power and drivability issue. The vehicle began to decelerate on its own while in motion, even though I was actively driving. A warning notification appeared on the driver dashboard, and shortly after, the vehicle power shut off. This creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle can unexpectedly lose speed and/or pow
... er while driving in traffic. The issue appears to involve the transmission, powertrain, or vehicle electrical/power management system. The loss of acceleration and sudden deceleration could increase the risk of a crash, especially at highway speeds or in heavy traffic. This incident occurred while the vehicle was being driven, not while parked. The warning message appeared on the dash before or during the power loss. I am reporting this because the vehicle’s sudden deceleration and power shutdown while driving could be a safety defect.
