While traveling along a high-speed highway, our 2026 Palisade unexpectedly suffered a severe loss of acceleration. Despite fully depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle struggled to exceed approximately 20 miles per hour. This alarming malfunction placed us in a precarious and potentially dangerous situation, as the drastic reduction in speed exposed us to the risk of being rear-ended by fas
... ter-moving traffic. On a separate occasion, the vehicle again exhibited troubling behavior, failing to respond appropriately while merging onto the highway. This hesitation significantly compromised our ability to safely enter the flow of traffic and could have easily resulted in a collision. Disturbingly, in both incidents, the vehicle provided no warning indicators or alerts on the dashboard, leaving us without any guidance or explanation for these critical failures.Read more

In October 2025, my drivers seat began to move forward and fold on its own. I was sitting in the seat and crushed. I was able to free myself. I might have photos. I did call Kia. For a second time maybe a month ago, I was undoing my son's car seat from the latch and the seat began to fold up and pinned my neck and arm. I thought I was going to die. This was a rear passenger seat.

Brake light will not illuminate unless full brake pressure is applied. Incident 1 - This happened 2 separate times. Once 9/2023 at 2765 miles and again 5/2026 at 20,505 miles. My cruise control would turn on but not engage. Upon investigation I discovered the brake light was not illuminating unless full brake pressure was applied. My KTM dealership diagnosed and replaced the brake light switch
... both times. My understanding this switch is a "pressure switch" Incident 2 - 9/2025 at 18,199 miles my cruise control would not disengage when applying the rear brake. I discovered the brake light did not illuminate unless full brake pressure was applied. The repair at my KTM dealership was to replace the brake light switch. This is very dangerous not having a rear brake light, especially on a motorcycle. Also very dangerous to have a cruise control not disengage when applying the brake. I feel lucky to discover the problem because of the cruise control. The KTM 890 and 790 DUkes do not come standard with cruise control so someone without it may ride for quite some time without knowing their brake light is not working. It does not take much internet searching to see this is a VERY common problem. I am surprised this has not been addressed in the form of a recall or making KTM improve the "brake light switch"Read more

The power transfer unit (PTU) failed at approximately 53,000 miles, which is a premature failure for a major drivetrain component. The issue was confirmed upon inspection. The “Service 4WD” warning light remains illuminated on the dashboard. Additionally, the vehicle pulls slightly to the left while driving. A failure of the PTU affects the all-wheel-drive system and can lead to improper pow
... er distribution, loss of traction, or driveline binding. The pulling condition and drivetrain issues create a safety concern during normal driving. Similar PTU failures have been reported in other 2019 Jeep Cherokees and have resulted in recalls and technical service bulletins for similar components, although this specific vehicle was not included. This suggests a broader pattern of premature PTU failure.Read more

Nov 20,2025 Manufacturer Recall Number25SC4 NHTSA Recall Number25V789 Recall Status Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available We purchased our vehicle with the intent of using it for a daily work commute, the range of the battery being perfect for this. We now find that the vehicle is not 100% safe to charge or drive in the manner intended and no remedy has been supplied by Ford, nor is one exp
... ected. We were advised by Ford not to charge it at all lest it catch fire. After several months we were told to charge it to only 80% to avoid the possibility of a fire while driving or when parked and charging. After a checkup we initiated with our local Ford mechanics in early 2026, we were told that the car was now safe to charge 100% and the recall could be ignored. We believed this to be the case. However, while having our car valued for a trade in, a dealer told us that the car still had an open recall on the battery which should definitely not be ignored. Ford’s own website says no fix is expected, no parts are available and the fire danger is still present because the issue is battery related, not a software one. Samsung who manufactured the batteries recalled them in February 2025. [XXX] We are no longer able use the car as intended: 80% of charge moving a 440Lb battery leaves short of the 35 miles we expect. Not utilizing the entire range of the battery, has cost us money in the purchase of gas which we should not have incurred. The vehicle is stored in a garage adjacent to our home, and were it to catch fire, we would lose everything. We wish to sell the car, but feel we shouldn't with such a dangerous safety unresolved flaw. Our vehicle has decreased in value by 66% since 2022 which has impacted our trade in value severely. This car is a financial impediment a potential danger to our safety and home and a nightmare to own. I am reporting a catastrophic engine failure on a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer (VIN: [XXX] ) that occurred within 163 miles of consumer delivery, suggesting a latent manufacturing defect present at the time of sale. The vehicle was delivered February 13, 2026 at approximately 29,750 miles. Engine noise was noted the same evening. By March 10, 2026, the vehicle was grounded at Farris Motor Company [XXX] ) a
... t 29,913 miles — 163 miles after delivery. The vehicle remains inoperable after 60+ days. Stellantis STAR Case #XXX documents the following confirmed failures: collapsed lifters, failed camshaft, damaged rockers, and scored cylinder walls. Technician notes in the official STAR Case record state the engine oil contained metal contamination so severe it "looked like paint." Borescope imaging confirmed scoring on cylinder walls. Stellantis has thus far refused to authorize a full engine replacement, instead directing the servicing dealer to replace only individually identified failed components — despite the fact that metal contamination of this severity compromises the entire lubrication circuit, including both turbochargers. The servicing dealer (Farris Motor Company) has independently advocated to Stellantis for full engine replacement and agrees the partial repair is insufficient. I am reporting this failure to NHTSA to document the defect pattern and request investigation into whether other 2023 Wagoneer vehicles with the 3.0L Hurricane engine may be experiencing similar latent valvetrain failures. COMPONENT: Power Liftgate Control Module (PTG module). Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. WHAT HAPPENED: On approximately April 7, 2026, while driving in rain, a "Power Tailgate Problem" warning appeared on the instrument cluster. Following that event, all powered liftgate operation became permanently inoperable — interior button, exterior button, and key fob all failed. CAUSE:
... An authorized Honda dealer confirmed in writing (service invoice, May 1, 2026): "Power Liftgate Control Unit has corrosion from water leak." The water intrusion originates from defective factory polyurethane seam sealer on the rear drip rail — a known manufacturing defect on 2018-2019 Odysseys documented in Honda TSB MC-10152401. SAFETY RISK: The same water intrusion that destroys the PTG module is documented to cause the liftgate to open unexpectedly while driving, posing a direct hazard to occupants and other motorists. NHTSA is already investigating this issue across 2018-2022 Odysseys. WARNING SYMPTOMS: "Power Tailgate Problem" warning on instrument panel cluster appeared during rain exposure prior to full failure. MANUFACTURER RESPONSE: American Honda Motor Co. declined to cover the repair under goodwill despite the dealer-confirmed defect, an active TSB, and an ongoing class action lawsuit (2018-2021 Odysseys) for this exact issue. Honda has not issued a recall. Estimated repair cost: $691 (module) plus body seam repair.Read more

While approaching a stop sign at approximately 35 mph, I again applied the brakes under normal driving conditions. The vehicle did not decelerate as expected and entered the intersection, colliding with a vehicle traveling perpendicular to my direction of travel. Both vehicles were towed. No injuries were reported. During both incidents, there were no forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking interventions, or other alerts observed prior to impact. Following the second collision, the vehicle was inspected by an independent technician. Brake components inspected were found to be within serviceable condition and no evidence of neglect or improper maintenance was noted. During inspection, abnormal brake pedal behavior was observed, including continued downward pedal travel while steady pressure was applied. The technician documented that the reported condition was not consistent with normal braking performance and stated that an intermittent hydraulic and/or brake assist related issue could not be ruled out. The vehicle has been regularly maintained according to manufacturer recommendations. Due to the repeat nature of the condition, the lack of warning or intervention from safety systems, and the occurrence of two collisions despite normal brake application, I believe this condition represents a significant safety risk. The vehicle has since been declared a total loss and may be available for further inspection.Read more
