Horn and all dasbboard controls quit working on my steering wheel. Rear wiper comes on by itself when the vehicle is put in reverse but the toggle no longer works to activate the rear wiper. The washer fluid will work with the toggle switch, but the wiper still does not come on. Reverse lights quit working.

The transmission on the vehicle failed, it is currently sitting at a GMC dealership awaiting repair. However the valve body is on back order and there is no time table for repair to occur. My family and my safety was put at risk not knowing that the 10 speed transmission could result in rear tire lockup while on the highway, also the inability to put the truck in reverse to back away from any pote
... ntial hazard. The problem was confirmed by GMC of Attleboro Mass. The vehicle was inspected by technicians at said dealership. There were no prior warnings, however the truck did feel hesitant to shift on the highway a week or two prior to failure.Read more

1. Failed Component/System: The failed system is the Tesla Full Self-Driving (FSD - Supervised) software and its underlying vehicle control logic, specifically resulting in an uncommanded torque request (Sudden Unintended Acceleration). 2. Safety Risk: The vehicle engaged in Sudden Unintended Acceleration (SUA) in reverse from a complete stop, without any driver pedal input. In a parking environm
... ent, this uncommanded acceleration poses an extreme and immediate threat to life safety. Had a pedestrian, child, or another moving vehicle been behind my car instead of a metal pillar, this software malfunction would have resulted in severe injury or a fatal collision. 3. Inspection Status: The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. I am intentionally securing the vehicle to preserve the crucial diagnostic logs and EDR data from being erased or reset during standard repair procedures, pending official data extraction. 4. Warnings/Symptoms: There were absolutely no warning lamps, error messages, or visual/audible symptoms prior to the failure. Furthermore, during the uncommanded acceleration, the system did not issue an FSD disengagement warning or chime. The dashcam footage confirms that the FSD visualization remained active and blue on the screen throughout the entire unintended acceleration event up until the impact.Read more

My dog and I were headed to Home Depot on [XXX] when without any warning there was a very loud boom. My first thought was that we had been shot at. Once I gathered myself I realized the sunnroof glass had exploded. I rarely open the sunroof but do on occasion have the shade open, luckily it wasn’t open or my dog and I would have been sprayed with the glass which could have caused serious eye in
... jury and potentially a crash. I’ve had 2 Chevy dealers tell me that is not a warranty issue that it was likely caused by a rock being thrown up. I do not believe this was the case. The closest vehicle was some 500 feet in front of us. Because it was such a violent explosion I believe it was a pressure explosion. I am also very surprised that the glass is tempered and not laminated. I have insurance so I’m not concerned with getting it repaired. I just want you to know I think it a very serious issue. No accident or damage occurred. I was able to drive the vehicle back to the dealership that installed the fluid mixture without needing the automatic 4-wheel drive feature to prevent damage. The vehicle is at the dealership to address the potentially incorrect fluid that were used and to install the Ford recommended fluid. The safety concern is that the Ford dealership followed the guidance of a
... well known company (BG products) and installed a mixture of fluids that have never been tested in a complex transfer case that has the Torque-on-demand, automatic 4A feature that controls the vehicle's traction during wet/icy conditions. This type of transfer case is not installed in all F-150 trucks, only the upper models like the Lariat or Platinum models. The dealership installed BG 792 plus they mixed in BG 328 additive per a universal guideline published by BG products. This mixture doubles the viscosity of the fluid recommended by Ford, which is Mercon LV (Low Viscosity). The guidance was intended for less complex or manual type transfer cases not the Borg Warner 44-67. The installed mix of BG 792 +328 could cause a slower engagement and inconsistent operation of the Traction-On-Demand system during wet or icy conditions. The Borg Warner 44-67 uses speed sensing and injects low viscosity fluid through portsinto a "wet clutch" pack, and the hydraulic pressure is modulated by a specifically programmed PID loop. The hydraulic system has not been tested with the BG mixtures, that doubles the viscosity of the fluid. The BG 328 additive is specifically designed for friction type clutching plates, and could cause damage to the "wet clutch" pack found in the Borg Warner 44-67. I have notified the dealership and BG products of the misinterpretation of the BG guidance but they have claimed that the fluid mix they used "should be ok". They can not, and/or will not provide the chemistry calculation or testing protocols for the mix used, especially with BG 328 added into BG 792.Read more

If I don't drive the car for 1 to 2 weeks, the car's 12v is completely drained of power and the care needs to be jumped, otherwise, it will not start. This is consistent. I've taken this to several Toyota dealerships and they all have reported my 12v battery is healthy. However, Toyota is aware and is charging for the fix, labelled as T-SB-0089-21. The known issue is a piece of electronics in
... the car that continually drains power because it does not properly shut off. This should not be a paid fix. This should be a recall. When the car is jumped and the car finally starts, it reports a message saying something about some safety features not available. The car needs to be moved every 2 weeks due to mandatory city street cleaning so at least once every month the car needs to be jumped if not used the week prior.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to you once again to emphasize and provide additional details regarding the critical safety issue I previously addressed concerning the Tesla Model X vehicles, which is similarly affecting Tesla Model S models. My personal experience underscores the severity of this problem: I have had to replace six tires due to accelerated inner wall wear in the last 5 month
... s. This specific wear pattern is a direct result of improper camber alignment, an issue that Tesla has continuously refused to rectify. This problem is not isolated to my vehicle alone. A growing number of Tesla Model X and Model S owners have reported similar experiences, indicating a widespread and systemic issue. The accelerated inner wall tire wear poses significant safety risks, as it can lead to unexpected and dangerous tire failures on the road. Despite the clear evidence and numerous complaints from Tesla owners, Tesla has consistently declined to address this issue adequately. It appears that the company’s reluctance is rooted in the fact that proper repair or recall to fix the camber alignment is not cost-effective from their perspective. However, this cost-cutting measure is putting drivers and passengers at risk. Given the scale and gravity of this issue, I urge the National Highway Safety Institute to take immediate action. It is essential to investigate these recurring problems with both the Tesla Model X and Model S models. The safety of Tesla drivers, passengers, and the general public is at stake, and a thorough investigation could compel Tesla to take the necessary corrective actions. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety matter. I trust that the National Highway Safety Institute will act promptly to ensure automotive safety and hold manufacturers accountable for their vehicles’ reliability and safety.Read more

My 2021 Volvo XC60 experienced a fuel system failure at approximately 53,500 miles. Prior to the failure, the vehicle displayed multiple warning messages and entered reduced-power (limp mode), including the turtle symbol on the instrument cluster. The vehicle unexpectedly would not start despite multiple attempts. The failure occurred while I was at a physical therapy appointment approximately 25
... minutes from my home. After approximately 10 minutes, the vehicle started and was able to be driven. Because of the warning messages, limp mode, and failure-to-start condition, the vehicle was taken to a Volvo dealership for diagnosis. The Volvo dealership diagnosed the vehicle with ECM fault code P008A00 (Low Fuel Pressure). According to the repair invoice, testing confirmed that fuel pressure was intermittently low, and the dealership determined that the in-tank fuel pump was faulty. The fuel pump was replaced to correct the condition. This failure created a safety concern because the vehicle became unexpectedly inoperable and would not start when needed. Had the failure occurred in a remote location, during extreme weather conditions, at night, or in an emergency situation, it could have left the vehicle occupants stranded without reliable transportation. The inability to start the vehicle occurred without warning and could have resulted in a more serious safety risk under different circumstances. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by an authorized Volvo dealership, which inspected the vehicle, diagnosed the fault, and replaced the fuel pump. Repair records are available for inspection upon request. The failure occurred at approximately 53,500 miles, which is relatively low mileage for a major fuel system component. Because fuel pump failures can render a vehicle unexpectedly inoperable, I am submitting this complaint for review and investigation.Read more

Complete failure of power steering while driving vehicle. Luckily I was almost home, had just exited the highway and was on a side road at low speed. High likely hood i would have crashed on the highway or at speeds greater than I was travelling. Numerous (at least 436 on one site) reports exist of this happening in the 2016 model. A recall exists on the 2015 model for this problem, but did not in
... clude my VIN. The stabilitrak icon flashed and I received a Power steering failure message on the dash. Stopping the vehicle and restarting apparently rebooted the electronic steering system and I was able to park it. The repair cost over $3000 at an independent mechanic. He replaced the rack and pinion component and said the wiring harness showed no wear, damage, or issues. Why isn't a recall issued for this safety problem on this model year? Especially given the number of complaints on the carcomplaints.com webpage and others.Read more

A franchised dealership has actively undermined a federal safety mandate, creating an immediate vehicle fire hazard. On [XXX], I took my 2018 Honda CR-V to Bedard Bros Honda in Cheshire, MA, for NHTSA Safety Recall Campaign 23V-858 (Fuel Pump Module). During the service, the dealer identified a cracked fuel pump housing and attempted to charge me a $390 fee to replace it. When I declined this comm
... ercial upcharge on a safety recall, the technician reassembled the pressurized fuel system using the broken housing and released the vehicle to me. Prior to this appointment, the vehicle had no fuel leaks or odors. Immediately upon driving the vehicle home and parking it, the vehicle began actively leaking raw gasoline, filling the cabin with toxic, flammable vapors. The dealership’s decision to perform a federal safety recall inside a known broken component, and subsequently release a vehicle with a compromised fuel system to avoid completing a free repair, has created an active fire emergency. The dealer invoice explicitly documents the crack and their attempted charge. I am requesting a formal investigation into this dealership's handling of Campaign 23V-858. A dashboard warning appeared: “gas and brake pedals are being pressed simultaneously.” I was not, and had not been, touching the accelerator. I then heard engine RPM increase audibly, consistent with an acceleration command, while my foot remained fully on the brake. I felt forward thrust working against my braking. The warning cleared and brakes engaged. Vehicle stopped approximately half a car length from the vehicle ahead, narrowly avoiding rear-end collision. Automatic Emergency Braking did NOT engage despite conditions clearly meeting its criteria — stationary vehicle directly ahead, my vehicle approaching at 15-20 mph with no observable deceleration for 3-4 seconds. No collision warning sounded; no auto-braking intervened. Notably, this same AEB has previously engaged falsely in benign situations (e.g., backing near low vegetation), suggesting reliability/calibration issues. Exiting [XXX] westbound at [XXX] , I merged into the far right lane at the second light for a right turn. A vehicle was stopped ahead at the light. Traveling 15-20 mph, I applied the brake for controlled deceleration. Right foot squarely on brake, not touchin
... g accelerator. Vehicle did not decelerate as expected. For 3-4 seconds the brake felt unresponsive — pedal felt soft and loose, lacking normal firmness. I pressed the brake fully to the floor. Prior manufacturer notice: On [XXX] at 15,412 miles, I reported to Camelback Toyota, Phoenix (RO #[XXX], on file): “vehicle lurches forward going from reverse to drive (now more consistent)” — dispositioned by tech 10210 as “vehicle is operating to spec,” no diagnosis performed. Same RO documented “rattling in neutral/at stop” — dispositioned “unable to duplicate.” Toyota was on notice of throttle-response symptoms 21 months before this safety event. My cruise control, automatic lane changing indicator light indicator, brake indicator light, high beam light indicator lights all keep coming off and on. Researching it on YouTube states that it’s the camera on my windshield getting too hot and it’s a known issue. It’s $1800 To fix but others have stated they get fixed and it doesn’t resolve the problem. Asking for your help.

In December 2025, a Hyundai dealer performed Service Campaign 9C2 (TSB 25-01-087H), an ECU software update for the 2.4L GDI Theta II engine, during a routine annual NY state emissions inspection. Immediately following this update, the vehicle began exhibiting an RPM flare of approximately 1,200-1,500 RPM during upshifting under light acceleration. This behavior did not exist prior to the update. T
... he condition occurs when ambient temperature is above 50°F and the vehicle has been parked 2+ hours after a prior drive. No warning lamps or fault codes have been present at any point. The issue has been confirmed across four dealer visits at two Hyundai dealerships over five months. Attempted remedies included transmission ECU updates and adaptive resets — none resolved the condition. On the fourth visit, the technician personally experienced the issue and identified reinstalling the pre-update ECU calibration as the likely fix, but stated the prior software version was unavailable. The repair order was nonetheless closed as "vehicle operating as designed." The case has been escalated to Hyundai Motor America National Consumer Affairs and forwarded to Hyundai engineering with no resolution to date. Multiple other 2019-2020 Santa Fe owners report identical post-9C2 symptoms on public forums, indicating a pattern associated with this campaign's ECU calibration. The unexpected RPM surge and erratic shifting during acceleration creates an unpredictable driving experience that could cause hesitation in traffic situations requiring smooth acceleration.Read more

Car completely stalled while on the freeway with no warning, no engine lights, nothing….luckily we were going downhill and were able to pull over to the side safely. Still owe 6k to the finance company but mechanic claimed I needed a new waterpump…after being changed and charged the car still wouldn’t turn on despite the new waterpump….and a bunch of new obd codes showed up & now I need a
... new engine. After a lot of research I’ve learned this car is notoriously known for many recalls and overall complains…..I wish I had done research before buying it, now I’m in debt for a car I can’t even driveRead more
