I towed the vehicle to an independant transmission show as I was 50 miles from my local Ford dealer.ntact had the vehicle towed to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the drive shaft flexible coupling was no longer present. The mechanic said that this is a known Ford issue and to have it towed there for the warranty/recall fix under NHTSA Campaign #19V767000 and #17S15 (Power Train) and the supercede Campaign #19S38. The vehicle had received an early version of the at-the-time fix of an updated flexible coupler. When contacting the Ford dealer, I was told that there were no recalls noted for my VIN. I contacted Ford, and was told that since I already had the "one-time permanant fix" that I was not eligble for any repairs under NHTSA 19S38 (which now specifies that that the flexible coupling is to be replaced with a new u-joint shaft connection). I thought safety recalls don't expire and the latest fix should be applicable/availble for this vehicle.Read more

I want this formally documented because I am concerned there may be an ongoing engine issue related to excessive oil consumption and/or engine failure despite the prior SC209 recall repair having been completed. The negligence displayed by the CarMax Orlando staff not only violated the terms of our purchase contract but actively endangered my life and the lives of others on the road. 1. Timeline of Events and Staff Negligence On 04/30/2026, I purchased the above-referenced vehicle from CarMax Orlando. Upon attempting a test drive, I was denied by sales consultant Boris Iniquez, who stated the vehicle could not be driven until it was cleaned. On 05/01/2026, I took delivery and immediately noticed the brakes were non-responsive and emitting a loud "air brake" sound. I returned to the dealership on 05/02/2026. Mr. Iniquez performed a ride-along, personally witnessed the brake malfunction, and was informed of my immediate need to drive 450 miles to Atlanta, GA, for my role as a Site Inspector. Rather than providing a safe loaner or grounded vehicle, Mr. Iniquez and the acting manager explicitly instructed me to drive the vehicle to Atlanta, asserting that the car had "passed all inspections." 2. Mechanical Safety Failure Upon reaching Atlanta, the vehicle's condition became untenable. I brought the vehicle to Taylor Grubaugh Chevrolet of Waynesville after the check engine light illuminated. The dealership diagnosed a premature wiring harness failure caused by chafing. They also stated that this issue is known to affect multiple GM vehi

A compromised harness can lead to erratic electrical behavior, reduced engine performance, stalling, or sudden loss of power while driving. With that the concern a possible vehicle malfunction or losing power in traffic came to light. The dealerships service department confirmed the problem, verified the wiring harness failure, & referenced the applicable GM technical bulletin. The vehicle was inspected by the authorized Chevrolet dealership. GM declined to cover the repair. No police, insurance, or other third party inspections have been conducted. Despite acknowledging that this is a documented & recurring issue across GM models, the GM informed me that the repair would not be covered under warranty or recall. At only 61,000 miles, a wiring harness failure due to chafing is not consistent with normal wear & tear & instead suggests a premature defect. Given that this is a known and documented defect, I believe it should be recalled. After further research, I discovered that this issue is far from isolated. There are more than 1,500 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and approximately 800 complaints submitted to NHTSA reporting the same or similar wiring harness failures across GM vehicles. The volume of complaints strongly suggests a widespread defect that may pose ongoing safety risks to consumers.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety defect involving my Kia K5 and the subsequent handling of this matter by Kia America. My vehicle was subject to a voluntary recall and was inspected by an authorized Kia dealership. As a result, the dealership retained possession of my vehicle and deemed it unsafe to drive. I have been without use of my vehicle and Kia has provided a rental car. For approximately eighteen (18) months prior to this discovery, I unknowingly operated this vehicle under these conditions. During that time, my minor child was a regular passenger in the rear seating area of the vehicle. My child has experienced ongoing neurological symptoms, including persistent headaches over a period of several months, which have required medical evaluation. While no definitive cause has yet been determined, the possibility of prolonged exposure to fuel vapors within the vehicle is a serious concern. The valve body on these cars are useless. Driving down a highway and cant shift out of 3rd gear almost had a car re-end me. Today I am driving and the ECU is not responding I see the check engine light on then I'm like not again. This would be the 3rd valve body I replaced. First I replaced the whole transmission thinking that is what I needed and advised that the valve body and the transmission
... are one. Yet no they come in parts. Anyways today I am waiting to get home, but the car is not reading my key fob why? Then the ECU and code U0100 is popping up. Something new and turns the car off. The shifting that happen earlier was just a light bulb of I already knew what is wrong. I felt the car shift with a hunch so I looked at my dash board and saw the check engine light again and was like not again. Please not again. Now on the dash board I see AWD and chassis issue. Then online I am told electrical problem and or ECU module not reading correctly. Like what is up with these push to starts. They are becoming a headache.
