... ent mechanics inspect the vehicle, and both confirmed that the diagnostic codes pointed to a failed ABS Module. I then contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. They acknowledged that the ABS Module is still on backorder but claimed they did not believe the module was the issue, despite the diagnostic results from two separate mechanics. The ABS Module has now completely failed, and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. The ABS, Traction Control, and Brake systems are not functioning, and the Jeep cannot be operated normally. I am unable to drive my vehicle due to this safety‑critical failure. This appears to be a widespread issue with ABS Modules on this model year, and replacement parts are unavailable. I am submitting this report so NHTSA can investigate whether this ABS Module failure represents a broader safety defect that requires action.Read more

So for example I'm traveling in the far right lane of a four lane road, two going north and two going south. I have my adaptive crusie control on and set to 50 MPH and the distance set to 4 car lengths (max) and then the car in front of me starts to slw down. The adaptive crusie control will adjust and start to slow down as well. So I decide to get into the next lane over to my left, where there also happens to be another car 1 or 2 car lengths in front of me, the adaptive crusie control will not detect that car after lane change and will begin to accelerate back up to 50 MPH when it should still be slowing down to avoid a collision. We have had a number of issues and several recalls associated with our 2017 Honda Pilot which has less than 78,000 miles on it. The issue I am writing about today involves the recent failure of the high-pressure fuel pump which I believe is related to the prior failure of the low-pressure fuel pump. ... our low-pressure fuel pump was delayed for 14 months because Honda did not have enough parts to cover all recalled vehicles. Therefore, we had to wait for over a year to get the low-pressure fuel pump replaced. Last week, our high-pressure fuel pump failed due to "internal failure" per the dealer. It is common knowledge that damage or failure of a low-pressure fuel pump can directly cause damage or failure of a high-pressure fuel pump because the high-pressure fuel pump relies on consistent, pressurized supply of fuel from the low-pressure fuel pump for lubrication and cooling. I believe the failure of the low-pressure fuel pumped coupled with the delay replacement of the low-pressure fuel caused the failure of the high-pressure fuel pump. Based on shared experiences online from other Honda Pilot owners, it seems like a lot of people are suffering similar issues. The high-pressure fuel pump is not currently under recall and, therefore, vehicle owners have to pay for the replacement of this part. I believe the failures of the high-pressure fuel pump and the connection to the failures of the recalled low-pressure fuel pumps should be investigated. Thank you.Read more

At that time, I was told the program had already expired in April 2024 and that Toyota would no longer provide assistance. I believe this is unfair because: - Toyota acknowledged this as a manufacturing-related defect. - I was never properly notified. - Toyota dealerships had multiple opportunities to inform me during regular service visits. - The defect became progressively worse over time. I am requesting that Toyota reconsider my case and provide goodwill assistance or repair coverage despite the expiration date, due to the lack of notification and the severity of the defect. On both occasions, I was forced to rapidly maneuver the disabled vehicle to the shoulder under reduced control and arrange emergency towing to safely remove the vehicle from the roadway and prevent a potential collision or injury. These failures created a significant highway safety risk due to the abrupt loss of power while merging, traveling in traffic flow, and operating at speed. A sudden engine shutdown in these conditions could result in a rear-end collision, loss of control, or multi-vehicle accident, particularly in high-speed or heavy traffic environments. The repeated nature of catastrophic engine failure following engine replacement raises concern about a potential underlying defect in the engine system, components, or related assemblies, or possible unresolved mechanical or installation-related issues. The recurrence of identical failure conditions under similar operating circumstances increases concern that this may not be an isolated incident. I brought it to my mechanic to have a look at it and he suggested to change the spark plugs and the coils which was done and he cleared the codes. About two days later I went to go to work and once again all the warning lights on the the dash board come on and it wouldn't drive over 5 MPH.

A week went buy no lights on the dash came on but it has a rough start and when you get to about 40 MPH the car starts to hastate to move. this time i brought it Rick Case Honda to have it looked at and they are telling me it is now the head gasket on cylinder # 3 has a hair line crack and needs to be changed ($7,400) To remove and replace the head gasket.
