Stepping on brakes - Car slows then accelerates a few seconds and lunges forward a couple of feet. Extreme safety issue. This occurred yesterday with my sister in the car and we almost rear ended the vehicle stopped in front of us. I have complained to the Cumberland Toyota dealership in the past and was told if they cant recreate the issue and it doesn't happen all the time there is no way to
... fix the issue. Yesterday I was almost in an accident because of this faulty design/anomaly associated with my car. This lunging forward is not suppose to happen and I want it fixed Toyota needs to come up with a resolution before it kills me. I have purchased this vehicle new 2024 and it has been happening since purchase - NOW its really badRead more

On 05/01/26 while driving on New York State Thruway route 90 east, my check engine light came on. Almost simultaneously the vehicle began to lose speed and I could not accelerate. As I pulled over I could hear a loud clunky noise. The vehicle would not start and was dead on the side of the thruway. Eventually the vehicle was towed to the dealership I purchased it from where they told me "there is
... a loose part in the engine and the engine needs to be replaced". Sudden power loss of the vehicle represents a safety risk especially traveling at 65mph. To my knowledge the vehicle has been inspected by only the dealership. On 3/17/26 I alerted the dealership I purchased the vehicle from that I heard a ticking in the engine once in a while when I auto started the vehicle. I was told I would receive a call from servicing but never did.Read more

When I am driving at a speed limit of 35-45 mph, there is a shutter in my transmission accompanied by a rattling noise. It only happens at that range of speed, below 35 and above 45 it seems to work just fine. If I have to drive a considerate amount of time at that speed, it does it constantly and I can't make it stop. It feels like the transmission will blow up. I have seen multiple articles
... and recalls for the torque converter in the 2016-2020 models, but apparently my VIN number isn't included, although the symptoms are exactly like the open recall symptoms of other Explorers. I have taken it to a transmission shop to get it test driven and diagnosed and they agreed that it did feel like the torque converter was slipping, but their advise was to rebuild the whole transmission since there wasn't any recalls specifically for my VIN number. It does not show any messages or have any warning lights about this issue on the car itself, I don't know if the computer recognizes these type of issues or not.Read more

There was a clicking noise coming from under the dash. This flapping may have been going on for years. I only took in the car after a passenger noted that this noise was something abnormal. Others have noted that this will drain the secondary battery and I have had to have that battery replaced. The dealership said it would be five hundred dollars to replace the recirc door actuator (98258 B105
... D). They charged me $99.95 in labor to diagnose it. I bought a replacement part myself and replaced it myself. I disassembled what was supposed to be the faulty part, but found all gears perfectly fine. I noticed there were no issues related to the recirc door itself. The replacement part worked fine until the next day, when I pushed the passenger door lock button and the flapping noise resumed. I ran the old recirc motor disconnected from the recirc door and noticed that it exhibited a flapping behavior independent of whether or not it was actually attached to the door. This indicates a programming issue, not a physical issue.Read more

The vehicle may also have recently received a software update, although it is unknown whether that is related to the incident. The failure appears to involve the brake system and the driver safety assistance systems equipped on the vehicle like forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, and Dynamic Brake Support systems. The exact failed component is currently unknown and remains under inspection by a Chevrolet dealership. No warning lights, messages, or audible alerts appeared before, during, or after the incident. The automatic braking/collision avoidance system also did not activate. Because the vehicle had no braking capability at the time of the incident, the occupants and nearby pedestrians were placed at risk of serious injury. On May 10, 2026, the vehicle was taken to a Chevrolet dealership for inspection. The dealership has been unable to reproduce the issue, and no mechanical defects or diagnostic trouble codes related to the incident were identified. On May 13, 2026, the issue was escalated to the GM Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for further review, and the vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting a response to the TAC case. The dealership acknowledges similar brake-loss concerns referenced in GM service bulletins involving the 2025 Chevy Equinox and other models, including bulletin N24471431, although they stated the bulletin does not apply to this specific VIN.Read more

Urgent Safety!!! I called and spoke with Lincoln Client Relations Center regarding two recalls that are for the exact same vehicle I now own; 2017 Lincoln MKX, VIN: [XXX] . The recalls that are in existence for 2016-2018 Lincoln MKX vehicles are NHTSA recalls: 20V414000/Ford 20S37 and NHTSA recall 20V399/Ford 20S35. Both of these recalls explain specifically and exactly what has happened to to my
... front driver's seat. Representative states that my VIN is not assigned as having this recall. The problem as explained in these recalls are as follows: -front seat wiring harness may chafe against seat frame; leading to potential airbag failure or unintended deployment. Harness wires can become damaged. My seat will go forward/backward, but does not tilt or recline. According to these recalls, it states that power seats have insufficient clearance between main seat wiring harness and metal cushion frame edge. Because different motors rely on different pin outs with that single harness, a partially severed harness will kill specific functions like tilt, and recline). Which is exactly what no longer works. While leaving the track forward/back in tact. And that's all that is working in my vehicle presently. Lincoln rep I spoke with tells me they only issued for certain MKX's, but mine describes the same exact problems. This is a safety hazard for any driver, and Ford/Lincoln should acknowledge this recall is happening to other Lincoln MKX owners . I do hope that the NHTSA will take this seriously as this is a serious safety concern, when you're talking about airbags deployment failure. I do hope that the NHTSA can relist or reissue this recall for additional VINs, including mine. This should not be overlooked. And I do expect that someone will respond back to me so that I can have this repaired at a local Ford/Lincoln dealership without cost to me, the owner. My GMC sierra AT4 with the 3.0L Duramax Diesel, has 1,500 miles on it, when the engine failed. I was traveling from [XXX] to [XXX] , towing a trailer, when the check engine light came, and the truck entered reduced power mode. It immediately slowed the truck without warning - which made for a very dangerous situation for all of the vehicles behind me and for my vehicle. After getting the vehicle
... and trailer to a dealer, disconnecting the trailer, and then getting the truck in the shop, the dealer defined the OBDII code as being P06DD - Engine oil pressure control solenoid valve stuck off. U0146 - Lost communication with central gateway module, and U1605 - Lost communication with side obstacle detection control module - right on private CAN Bus. The dealer indicated that the P06DD code meant that the thrust bearing on the crankshaft failed and the engine would need to be replaced. The ending only has 1500 miles on it. It turns out that there are MANY GM 3.0L diesel engines that have failed for this issue and that GM issued a Technical Service bulletin in 2025 for this issue - TSB 25-NA-307. I work in the medical device industry and when there is a safety issue with your products - you initiate a RECALL. To date there has been no recall simply the TSB. What is the NHTSA going to do about ensuring that GM, and other manufacturers, are making engines safe? These engines can literally explode - sending metal shards through the engine into the passenger compartment. For the last 6 months, I keep getting a "shift to Park" message on my dashboard indicating that my vehicle is not in park (in which it is). On 5.15.26, I called the dealership to inquire and was informed that my VIN was not covered under warranty (which I had already known), and that that service I would have to pay lots of money out of pocket for it. The service tech did look in the system and claims (without me even knowing that they had did that repair already....He lied I'm for sure). I informed him well if they did repair that part, and I'm still getting an error message about the same thing, clearly its faulty and the dealership should be responsible for fixing it. This was not the case as I was informed it would have to be out of my pocket. This mess is unfair! GMC is well aware of this faulty pat on vehicles, and to refuse to fix it free of charge is just down right hurtful! GMS is responsible for repairing this part on everyone's vehicle as it is a hazard to everyone and the community to have a vehicle unstable to be able to slide away from a parked position. This is such a road hazard, something has to be done about it. It's not far that I am expected to pay for these faulty wiring costs out my pocket when its a faulty issue GMC is very well aware of.Read more

There have been two instances now within about 4 months where my 2025 Hyundai Tucson's emergency braking/anti forward collision system has engaged completely unnecessarily, slamming on my brakes and almost causing the car behind me to hit me. In both cases there wasn't a car in front of me within at least 100 feet. In both cases I was going probably 30-40 miles per hour.

I own a 2019 Ford Expedition with fewer than 100,000 miles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle began experiencing a loud cold-start rattle, engine timing issues, and check engine light illumination. The vehicle was diagnosed by a Ford dealership with internal VCT/cam phaser mechanical failure affecting engine timing and performance. The dealership diagnostic identified trouble code
... s P0016, P0365, and P0369. The dealership also documented that the engine oil level and condition were within specification, indicating the failure was not caused by lack of maintenance or neglect. The dealership recommended replacement of all four VCT units and four VCT solenoids due to internal mechanical failure. This issue creates a serious safety concern because improper engine timing can cause loss of power, rough operation, stalling, or sudden engine performance issues while driving. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting Ford vehicles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, particularly involving cam phasers, timing components, and VCT systems. A major internal timing-related failure on a vehicle with under 100,000 miles should not occur under normal operating conditions. I am submitting this complaint because this defect may affect the safe operation and reliability of the vehicle.Read more

I was driving to work, when I got off the exit I stopped at Sheetz. When I got back in the car my brake pedal was stiff as a rock, and there was oil on the ground. A friend of mine does mechanic work so I called him and he said it sounds like the vacuum pump. I had the car towed to his garage, the tow costed me $400 which was very cheap considering where I was located. When I got it to the garage
... he confirmed that it was the vacuum pump and we removed several pieces of metal from inside the engine. I now have my car at the Chevy dealership in Chippewa PA. They told me to be $180 a diagnose it, well they just called me a little bit ago and said it's going to be another $900 to take everything apart and to truly diagnose it. I'm finding out now that GM has known about the failing vacuum pumps and they kept producing them anyways. I see there's a class action lawsuit taking place, and I am not very happy. My life was put at risk. And now I'm expected to be stuck paying this huge bill?Read more
