There is still no remedy to this recall and my truck is affected - I have been driving with NO ABS AND NO TRACTION CONTROL for almost 4 YEARS. This has also deactivated my cruise control. When adjusting the temperature in the car with the dial, it does not respond correctly. It either jumps up or down by multiple degrees. This causes to take your eyes off the road to try to adjust the temperature. No warning lights came on and pushing lighter or harder on the dial does NOT fix it. Only driver side is currently having this issue.

The brake rotors on my 2023 Chrysler 300C failed prematurely at 25,000 miles. The vehicle is equipped with a factory-installed Brembo four-piston high-performance brake system. The issue was confirmed by my authorized Chrysler dealership, however warranty coverage was denied and the failure was classified as wear and tear. This complaint is consistent with NHTSA Complaint ID Number 11661039, filed May 14, 2025, which documents an identical failure on a Chrysler 300 equipped with the same factory Brembo brake system, with rotor warping reported at just 5,260 miles under normal driving conditions. That complaint similarly attributes the failure to excessive heat generated by the Brembo calipers causing premature rotor warping, suggesting this may be a broader issue with the Brembo brake configuration on this vehicle platformRead more

We took it to our local mechanic and the following repairs were required: Replacement of cracked belts, Replacement of cracked axle boots, Replacement of an excessively loose front axle, Replacement of valve cover gasket.
... Cost was $3,000 and the dealer refused to reimburse us. Now the car is leaking oil and needs a new head gasket and cylinder head surface machined. Quote was approximately $3,500. We have requested Mazda perform this repair. Will you please look into these vehicles? These are significant defects on a car with such low miles. We also believe that some of these defects were know to the dealer but are unable to prove it. We believe our vehicle is part of a batch that has signficant mechanical defects. On 5/8/2026 at 1555 hours, while driving at normal freeway speed under normal driving conditions, vehicle began an exhaust system regeneration cycle. During the course of the region cycle, vehicle began to smoke excessively and realizing this wan not normal, I was able to yield to the right shoulder of the roadway. Almost immediately the vehicle ignited on fire and completely burned to the ground.
... The fire appeared to have commenced in the engine compartment, driver side near the firewall. The location of which appears to be consistent with reports of fuel filter failures I have read about in the past. The resulting fire ignited nearby brush which burned several hundred feet of brush and resulted in the spillage of diesel fuel and coolant which combined from the resulting melting of the coolant system and fuel tank and lines. This incident put both me and surrounding communities at risk, particularly from the resulting fire and HAZMAT spill. The vehicle was in good running condition prior to this incident. The incident was investigated by the Templeton California Highway Patrol.Read more

I will first start with our problems/concerns. We had experienced a complete lost power in freeway speed (65 mph) when the battery is depleted, that is when the battery bar goes to zero bar instead of 2 bars usually. I attached a photo from the video I took for your reference. This experience was the engine ramp up and not getting any power while driving on freeway, escpecially obvious during uphi

This originally happened around 2022, but we checked with Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos and they told us nothing is wrong and because there was no fault code, nothing they can do. When the Recall service canoaign 24-031 came, we were relieved because we think the problem is going to be fixed. We brought our Honda Clarity to the dealer on 2/3/2025 for the recall and everything was fine (meaning we can drive on HV after our battery is depleted). But around December 2025, my wife experienced the same situation where she couldn’t keep up with the freeway speed after exhausted the electric range of 34 miles. We took it to dealer again on 1/16/2026 and described the situation, dealer came back and said nothing has been found and there were no fault code. After that, the only way that we are trying to do is to avoid the battery to get down to zero miles, but since our battery is only getting 34 miles full charge instead of the 47 miles when it was new (dealer also said this is normal depreciation, I am not sure about that). My 2016 Lincoln MKC with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine experienced coolant intrusion into cylinder 3, leading to engine misfire and check engine light to turn on. The dealership confirmed the issue for $176.55 and recommended a full long block engine replacement, estimated at over $11,000. This failure occurred at 98,000 miles. Two weeks before this, the check engine light illuminated and we took it to a
... repair shop where we paid $628 to repair the purge valve and fuel pressure sensor, while it was most likely this coolant intrusion both times! Ford and Lincoln (including concierge) have refused any assistance in this matter. The local dealership has also said that they cannot help us with any of the cost. I've found this to be a very well documented problem/engine design failure, Including HTSA ID Number: 10162062 Manufacturer Communication Number: TSB 19-2172 entitled Components: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING The TSB acknowledges a design-related coolant leak into the engine cylinders that can cause white smoke, misfire, rough running, and warning lights. Ford’s recommended repair is to replace the long block assembly. In addition, this appears to be the exact issue described in Ford TSB 19-2346, which covers 2017–2019 model year vehicles with the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, including the Lincoln MKC and MKZ. I believe this is a widespread design defect and request NHTSA’s investigation to ensure proper manufacturer accountability. I am so thankful that this car does not belong to one of my daughters as it poses a severe safety hazard on the road and it is going to be a huge financial setback that we may not recover from.Read more

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding my 2016 BMW 435i. My vehicle experienced a sudden water pump failure while I was driving on the freeway. Without warning, the vehicle immediately entered “limp mode,” causing a sudden and dangerous loss of power in active traffic. This created a serious safety hazard because surrounding vehicles had to quickly avoid my car to prevent a collision. I
... am aware that there is an existing recall and/or known issue involving electric water pump failures on certain BMW vehicles, including similar 2016 BMW models, but my VIN does not qualify for recall coverage despite experiencing the exact same failure and safety-related symptoms. I believe this defect should be investigated further because it creates a substantial risk to driver and public safety when the vehicle suddenly loses power at highway speeds. Additionally, my vehicle has an ongoing issue with the parking collision warning/driver assistance system. The system will randomly trigger collision warnings and emergency alerts even when I am driving safely with no obstacles or vehicles in front of me. These false warnings are distracting and could potentially cause unsafe driver reactions or unnecessary braking events. I request that NHTSA investigate both issues: 1. Sudden electric water pump failure causing immediate limp mode and loss of power while driving. 2. Malfunctioning collision warning system producing false collision alerts without hazards present. These issues present significant safety concerns and appear consistent with known defects affecting similar BMW vehicles. Vehicle Information: * Year: 2016 * Make: BMW * Model: 435iThe I would like to mention I am an active first responder (EMT) and would recommend addressing these safety concernsRead more
