My 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 unexpectedly braked on its own on two separate occasions while I was driving at a low speed, approximately 5 to 10 mph. There was no warning chime, no “BRAKE!” message, and no other warning immediately before the vehicle suddenly braked. One of the incidents occurred while driving through a drive-thru. The sudden braking was strong enough to jolt a properly restr
... ained rear-seat passenger forward and caused discomfort around the waist area. I also received a dashboard warning stating “Active Parking Assist and PARKTRONIC Inoperative.” The vehicle was taken to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership, where it was inspected, scanned, test-driven, and a software update was performed. The dealership was unable to reproduce the unexpected braking and did not identify a confirmed cause for the braking incidents. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. I am concerned that this may be an intermittent safety-related malfunction involving the driver assistance, parking assistance, sensor, or braking systems because the vehicle applied the brakes unexpectedly without warning.Read more

First of all it’s out of warranty, second the dealer can’t fix it anyway as the part is not available. I own a 2020 Jaguar I-PACE with approximately 102,000 miles that is currently at a Jaguar dealership following a sudden failure to accept Level 2 charging in mid-June 2026 and has been there since. The vehicle initially showed fault code P0AA6-00, and the dealership subsequently replaced the 12V battery and charging module (440123457); after communication with the vehicle's systems was restored, t
... hey reported that 31 of the 36 modules in the high-voltage battery were failed or failing and that the entire battery requires replacement. My concern is that this may be related to the H570/H572 high-voltage battery recalls. My vehicle had not yet received the recall-related charging limitation software, and it had previously experienced a significant battery/electrical issue in June 2025 involving Restricted Performance, an isolation fault, and BECM reconfiguration/software that apparently resolved the issue at that time. The dealership is now attributing the 2026 failure to normal age-related battery degradation, but I find it difficult to reconcile that explanation with 31 of 36 modules reportedly failing simultaneously, particularly given the vehicle's prior isolation fault and the current recall's stated concerns involving internal battery faults, short circuits, and thermal overload. The dealership has told me they did not perform a thorough investigation specifically to determine whether the current battery failure is related to H570/H572, yet they have concluded that it is unrelated. I am requesting that NHTSA review this situation because I am concerned that a potentially serious high-voltage battery defect covered by the recall may have caused or contributed to this failure. In the meantime, they have quoted me $50,000 to perform a full HV battery replacement, as a potential option/resolution.Read more

I was involved in a serious rollover crash in which my vehicle rolled approximately two times. During the crash, I struck my head and suffered a deep laceration that required five stitches, along with a concussion. I also experienced numbness in my head for several days afterward. The crash caused extensive damage to my vehicle, which was ultimately determined to be a total loss. Multiple windows
... shattered, the windshield was severely damaged and pushed inward, and there was significant damage to the roof and body of the vehicle. Despite the severity of the rollover and the amount of damage to the vehicle, none of the airbags deployed at any point during the crash. I am concerned that the airbag system may not have functioned properly and that the lack of airbag deployment may have contributed to the severity of my injuries. As a result of the injuries I sustained, I have also been unable to return to work and have been placed on medical leave while I recover. This has affected both my ability to work and my day-to-day functioning following the crash.Read more

The fuel pump of my Chevy equinox failed while I was driving in the middle of a busy highway causing my engine to lose power putting myself and my passengers in danger along with everybody else on the highway because I could not accelerate and I had to push my vehicle off the highway. ... a second. When I tried to restart the engine it would not register that there was any fuel in a tank even though it was 3/4 of the way full. In June 2026, after warranty repairs were performed on the vehicle's navigation/display system, a new safety-related problem occurred. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the rearview/backup camera image does not appear on the display. Instead, the navigation map remains on the screen. The vehicle has been at an authorized Genesis dealership since June 4, 2026, and the backup camera problem
... remains unresolved. The dealership has reproduced and confirmed the problem. According to the dealership, it requested authorization from Genesis to replace the backup camera, but the request was not approved. The dealership later requested authorization to replace the wiring harness, but that request was also not approved, and the part was not ordered. I was told that Genesis has continued attempting to address the problem through software. The dealership also advised me that similar issues have been reported with other vehicles of the same model, although I cannot independently verify those cases. This creates a safety concern because the rearview camera does not provide a view of the area behind the vehicle when it is shifted into reverse, increasing the risk of striking a person, vehicle, or object while backing up. The vehicle remains available at the authorized Genesis dealership for inspection. As of August 20, 2026, it has been out of service for 78 days and no confirmed repair solution has been provided.Read more
