I took my vehicle in several times for issues regarding the brakes. I was told for months nothing was wrong. The brake percentage was rapidly declining on the display and they just kept saying it would fix itself in an update. Finally the service brake alert came on prompting me to take it to the dealership again for the brakes. I was told my front brakes were completely gone and needed new pads
... and rotors and my back brake lines were severed and pouring brake fluid everywhere. I was told I was lucky I brought it when I did because I could have gone to stop and just not been able to. It was concerning because there was no warning or indication there was anything wrong and I kept being told everything was fineRead more

While driving, the vehicle suddenly and without warning experienced a severe, dangerous loss of acceleration. The dashboard immediately displayed a "Reduced Engine Power" warning message along with a "Service StabiliTrak" light, forcing the vehicle into an immediate electronic fail-safe "limp mode." This sudden, drastic reduction in engine power severely restricts the vehicle's ability to maintain
... safe roadway speeds, accelerate from a stop, or merge safely into traffic, posing an immediate rear-end collision hazard to myself and other motorists. Furthermore, the defect simultaneously disables critical active safety systems by shutting down the StabiliTrak and Traction Control networks. A diagnostic scan revealed code P2138 (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensors 1-2 Correlation Not Plausible). Investigation reveals that this is a widespread, systemic safety defect caused by design flaws in the vehicle's body. Rainwater and moisture from clogged factory sunroof drains or cowl seams leak directly down into the interior cabin wall, pooling into the primary instrument panel-to-body wiring harness block (X218 connector) in the driver's side footwell. This water intrusion causes green corrosion on the delicate pins, short-circuiting the 5-volt reference sensor circuit for the throttle controls while the vehicle is in motion. General Motors is fully aware of this exact defect and has documented it internally via Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #10-00-89-017H (and related GM TSBs). Because this defect causes unexpected, immediate engine failure and disables traction safety networks while driving, it constitutes a severe safety hazard that should be escalated to a mandatory safety recall.Read more

Vehicle has experienced sudden stalling while driving and an intermittent Check Engine Light with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P107B — Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor “B” Circuit Range/Performance. This is the exact condition covered by Toyota Technical Service Bulletins T-SB-0050-20 and T-SB-009-23, and Customer Support Program 23TE04 (Denso low-pressure fuel pump settlement coverage, valid unti
... l July 15, 2036 or 150,000 miles). Timeline: • Late April 2026 (while driving ~300–400 miles from home): Vehicle stalled without warning at a red light. • May 5, 2026 (while driving on freeway ~50–75 miles from home): Check Engine Light illuminated. AutoZone scan and dealer diagnostic tool both confirmed DTC P107B. • May 5, 2026: Dealer performed health check using Toyota GTS+ tool (see attached screenshot taken at 15:58:01). Screen clearly shows “PERMANENT: YES” confirming a permanent stored fault code. • May 5–15, 2026: Crown Toyota (Ontario, CA) confirmed the code was present on arrival (Repair Order 2842115 dated 05/15/26). They later cleared the code, performed a short test drive, could not duplicate the fault at that moment, and closed the repair order as “inconclusive.” They refused the low-pressure fuel pump replacement under Customer Support Program 23TE04 even though corporate cases #260505002096 and #260515002110 had previously confirmed eligibility based on the prior pump replacement (9/11/2021, RO #1764477). The issue is known to be intermittent and occurs under load/highway conditions. This creates a serious safety risk of sudden loss of power while driving. T-SB-0050-20 specifically directs dealers to replace the low-pressure fuel pump assembly when P107B is present on 2018–2019 Highlander Hybrids, and T-SB-009-23 provides the official repair procedure under CSP 23TE04. I have attached: (1) the dealer repair order RO 2842115, and (2) the May 5, 2026 GTS+ diagnostic screenshot showing the permanent DTC. Please investigate this as a potential safety defect.Read more

Since I purchased this electric vehicle, phone conversations that I place through the car have been broadcast on the external speaker. I brought this to the dealership, they acknowledged the problem, but told me they couldn't help because they didn't have another EQB to compare it to. They told me to contact Mercedes customer service. I contacted them by email, and I was repeatedly told (incorrect
... ly) that my vehicle does not have an external speaker. They eventually ignored me. This is both a safety issue and a privacy issue. Broadcasting my phone calls to the public is a massive invasion of privacy. Secondarily, when the external speaker is playing a phone call, I assume it is not playing the required noise intended to warn pedestrians that an EV is approaching. As best as I can tell, this is a MBUX software defect that is causing the Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) to malfunction. I need this fixed for both safety and usability, and I have been shocked that Mercedes hasn't done a better job trying to address this problem. Additionally, a couple weeks ago, my entire screen (speedometer, maps, etc) went blank while driving. I believe there was an electric "pop" right as this happened. The screen rebooted and came back after about a minute, but then it happened again on the same drive within a couple minutes. Those are the only two times this has happened, but it was unnerving. I believe other models have been recalled for a nearly identical problem, but my vehicle was not included in the recall.I have not contacted Mercedes about the screen based on the poor response I received after having the phone issue. In summary, this is a safety issue that the Mercedes dealership acknowledged but has not and will not fix. They were able to reproduce the issue, there are no warning messages, and the vehicle is available for inspection. I would appreciate any help I can get in solving the phone problem. I would also love to know if the screen issue requires followup.Read more

The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.. The transmission issue cr

This car is only a 2018 model and has less than 85k miles. The abnormal whining noise was present prior to diagnosis and continued to worsen. The issue has been confirmed by a professional service center during a multi-point inspection and diagnostic evaluation. No crash or injury has occurred at this time.Read more

piston rings wore out prematurely on our 2012 honda odyssey. this was caused by the vcm system. its a known issue on hondas. it only had 88,600 miles at the time. we were driving our 2012 honda odyssey in december 2023. the check engine light began to flash. it starting running rough. we had it towed to a honda dealer for inspection. they pulled codes p303 and p304. they said the rings were worn
... and spark plugs fouled. they said this is a common issue because of the vcm. they peformed a rering job and with all parts and labor the cost came to $4000. we are very disgusted that this issue was already known by honda and they failed to place the vehicle on recall or wave the repair cost. they had a previous recall for this issue, but they say it was for a limited time frame. my mother only drives less than 10k miles a year, so the issue wouldnt have happened before 2016, as the miles on her van were still very low. we are issueing a complaint against honda for this issue. we are asking for reimbursement for the repair for the piston ring job which was $4000 while we had the vehicle in for this repair, we were also informed of other issues with the van, and we went ahead with those repairs as well, which brought our repair bill total to over $6419, which is also shown on the same receipt.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety-related failure involving my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. I purchased the vehicle used with approximately 15,000 miles and was informed the previous owners leased it and rarely used it. At approximately 40,000 miles, despite completing all recalls in a timely manner, the vehicle experienced the exact type of hybrid system failure a recall
... was intended to prevent. The issue began when the hybrid system failed and left the vehicle unsafe to operate. Upon startup, only accessory power activated and the engine would not start. A full power cycle was required before the vehicle started. Immediately afterward, warnings appeared including "Service Hybrid System," "Service Charging System," "EAB Unavailable," "Lane Keep Assist Unavailable," "Pedestrian Braking Unavailable," and "Adaptive Cruise Control Unavailable." The check engine light illuminated and all hybrid modes became unavailable. Shifting became erratic and harsh. Downshifts from 2nd to 1st felt like sudden braking and caused me to hit my head on the steering wheel. During acceleration, the transmission slipped and shifted unpredictably. Fuel economy dropped from approximately 22 MPG in E-Save mode to approximately 10 MPG at highway speeds. Diagnostic code P1E1D was retrieved and I was advised the vehicle was unsafe to drive. While driving to the dealership, the vehicle shut down twice while in motion. During both shutdowns, power steering and braking assistance were lost, posing an extreme risk to myself and others while moving the vehicle off a busy three-lane roadway. Dealership diagnostics determined one or both high-voltage battery systems failed and required replacement. Despite completed recalls, the issue still occurred. Parts were backordered over a month. I believe this failure and recall effectiveness warrant investigation due to the serious safety risks created by loss of propulsion, steering, and braking assistance while driving.Read more

After being parked for several days at the airport, the vehicle turned on, but would not start. The instrument cluster had the following message, “Service required do not change transmission position”. I contacted Mercedes road side assistance who cannot access this parking level. They indicated I should push the car out of the lot and have it towed with a flat bed. After a review they had a
... software reset that is available after 40 minutes. They indicated to drive only outside, then to park and have the vehicle towed. If I drove further it could void the warranty. This scenario repeated multiple times over several months, including maybe five weeks in the shop in the first four months. Mercedes ultimately purchased the car back from me. Indicated the car was not fixable. The car is now for sale on the retail lot at the same dealer.Read more

I am writing to formally complain about the ongoing issues with my vehicle, specifically the repeated failure of the air conditioning system and the excessive number of recalls that have caused major inconvenience and lost work time. The air conditioning unit in my vehicle has failed three separate times. Each time, I was told the fan motor needed to be replaced, and the motor has now been replace
... d three times. After each repair, the system works temporarily before failing again. I have now been informed that the issue may actually be electrical in nature, which raises concerns that the original problem was never properly diagnosed or repaired. In addition to the air conditioning problems, my vehicle has been subject to multiple recalls requiring repeated trips for repairs. These ongoing issues have forced me to miss work several times, causing financial hardship, stress, and a loss of confidence in the reliability and safety of my vehicle. At this point, I am requesting the following: A full inspection and proper diagnosis of the electrical system related to the air conditioning failure. A permanent repair solution rather than temporary fixes. Reimbursement or compensation for repeated repair visits, missed work time, and inconvenience caused by these recurring issues. A review of my vehicle’s repair history to determine whether additional corrective action is appropriate. I have made every effort to address these issues through the proper service channels, but the recurring failures continue. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and resolved promptly. Please contact me as soon as possible regarding the next steps to resolve this issue. Sincerely,Read more

2025 Honda Accord Hybrid experiences a severe, loud knocking noise when turning the steering wheel while stationary or at low speeds. The dealership attempted to grease the components but the mechanical knock remains. This is a known EPS/steering rack defect on the 11th generation Accord and poses a steering failure/binding safety risk at highway speeds.
